Stayed one night only on 5/20/21. Bathrooms were dirty. Sink was grimey, hair all of the floor & other type of hair in the tub. Obviously the floor was never cleaned. Air conditioner panel broken. Stayed on high then turned itself off. Broken pieces on counter top. Bagged breakfast was pretty cheap. Bed comfy & room was quiet enough. Front desk staff was great! But hotel is located in a bad area " suitcase city". Do yourself a favor and stay on the other side of USF and you'll still pay the same price for a safer location.

Room had strong cat urine smell. Sheets looked as though they had already been slept on. I'm glad I brought my own bedding. Had a real emergency at my home so I had to stay two days maybe three days so I paid for the two days, and then, just before check out I paid for the third day, because I hadn't heard whether I could return back into the home yet. I explained to owner. Thirty minutes to an hour later, I was informed I could return back to the home. I asked owner to please refund at least half of money back but he wouldn't even consider it. I will not be returning.

Zero Stars. Probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had - the AC was broken, never went below 80. It was cooler outside than it was inside, but the windows were bolted shut and there were no fans. Trash left on floor when we first entered the room, hair on the toilet. Cockroaches found roaming the room. I was very direct and frank to the receptionist about my displeasure when checking out at 4am, and they had absolutely nothing to say to me. Such a shame because this hotel has good proximity to Busch Gardens. Only saving grace was that the shower got decently hot... But who wants to take a hot shower when you are sweating in the room with no air flow?

I recently visited this property after my trip to Busch Gardens Tampa on May 1st. Check in was fine and at first glance the room was fine until we saw the following in just the first 5 minutes: the front room TV was broken and leaning, the refrigerator was dirty, lamps didn't work, stains on the sheets and broken door knobs. We complained to the front desk and she was accommodating. I was escorted to view a replacement room with the attendant. However the second room had a lots of water on the bathroom floor from the shower. So, she couldn't use the room. Next. We were given a third room as a replacement. OMG!! There were stains on the sheets in this room too! There was hair in the tub, feces on the toilet seat and stains on the carpet, dust on the ceiling and curtains. We were tired and thought about cleaning the room. We were given new bedding that we had to replace ourselves. I started to replace the sheets and a bug popped out from under the sheet. That was the last straw!!! I refused to pay $180 for a room an have to clean it!! I promptly requested a cancelation and we just drove home in disappointment. This is what I was told happened: The housekeeping manager called out on Saturday May 1st. Because the manager was out, the housekeepers didn't clean rooms like they are supposed to and no one was able to check rooms prior to guest arrivals. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. They only positive at this hotel was the from desk person. She truly did all within her power to make the situation right. My advice to management: 1. Replace stained linens, don't reuse them. 2. Update this hotel. Patch up the walk ways, update rooms, clean the window coverings, clean the ceilings and carpet 3. Have adequate staff at the hotel. I had to leave this review because I really couldn't believe the condition of the hotel, considering the price they were charging. This really is on the level of a budget hotel, under $100.00 a night. Please, please, update this hotel. As for me, I will not be returning to this property in the future.

This hotel is not a holiday inn. It was once. I believe the owners and the management are the same. But it is a Red Roof In Plus+

Arrived and saw it was limited parking, check in was fine. Got into our room and began to look around. As soon as you walk in there were stains on the wall and stains on the curtains. Stains on the sheets as well. Then we proceeded to check the bathroom, there was a ring around the tub and it was very dirty so shower shoes are needed. Went to check closet and there was a lizard inside. Do not stay here if you can avoid. Do not book!

So it's no longer a Holiday Inn it's now a Red Roof Inn since late June from what I overheard let's start there. We check in and the room had dead roaches all over the place which means they had fumigated the hotel which is great, but at least clean up after doing so. Roaches in the bathroom, behind the main door, under the sink, in the main room, on the sofa bed it was crazy. Sheets were dirty & stained on the bed as well. We went down the elevator to have our room switched at the lobby and guess what dead roaches on the elevator floor as well. Got a new room and at least it had no dead roaches in it thankfully, but again stained comforter on the bed we just tossed aside and didn't even use and at least the sheets were clean. Towels were dirty and stained, thank goodness we took our own towels with us as we always do on our trips. First time in this Red Roof in Tampa and this will be our last time dealing with Red Roof. We have had issues with the one in Naples as well and this one did it for me done done with them.

Don’t even think about it! 😝 it’s too dirty! They don’t change used sheets. Rusty bathtub, the room smell bad and don’t even think about walk over the carpet! Very disgusting.

We booked a package deal for the Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream event that included shuttle service and breakfast. The breakfast was amazing! Service of all the staff was outstanding! The shuttle driver was friendly but a bit risky driver. We enjoyed the layout of the king suite room. Nice clean room with large windows at each end of the room, 2 TV'S, mini fridge, microwave, ceiling vented AC and nice adjustable shower head. The bed wasn't quite as soft as I prefer but was still in great condition. The only negative thing that I would say is that the sound from the neighboring rooms could be heard through the walls and ceiling. The courtyard was very nice with a pool and a separate small running pond. It was a bit unusual that you had to open a gate and go through the courtyard and then open another gate just to get to the office. All together we did have a very pleasant stay and would recommend this place.

Great location with plenty to do nearby. The gardens and area are really well maintained with a nice pool as well. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. Nicely finished bathrooms with separate shower/toilet area, which is always convenient if you have more than one person. Convenient power outlets on the bedside lamp are always a nice touch too. Plus a microwave and fridge in the room come in handy.

Not a bad place. Clean rooms. But they definitely do not honor requests. Asked to be put near an entrance due to having a pet with me. So where do the put me. 3rd floor in the middle.

No decent water pressure, no control of the air conditioning. Had to wait for the front desk to bring their only remote to adjust the a/c.

I stayed with my wife pot one night and it was the worst possible. air conditioner making noise, and later I found out that they didn't refund my $100 deposit. I do not recommend.

My experience at the Holiday Inn Tampa North Bush Gardens was very bad. This is not a place that I recommend for families. If you are a single guy looking to party in the "Red Light District" then ok. Hopefully, the owner and manager are reading the reviews. The room that I was given was dirty. The gym was closed, the restaurant was closed, the walkways were dirty. There were shady people in the parking lot. I think this hotel needs gun toting security staff. I didn't feel safe there so I left. This hotel does not meet the standards that I am accustomed to from Holiday Inn. It is a shame because it could be a great place to stay with proper renovation, cleaning and security.

This hotel is horrible and nasty! The room was dirty and the pillows had stains on it. This is a hotel to go and hookup. I also felt very unsafe as you can hear banging and people walking around. My husband and I will never come back to this place. I would give it a negative 1 if google had that rating!

Outdoor space was nice. We didn't use the pool, but it looked inviting. It was open and others were using it. Lobby was nice. Our room was efficiently small. Sink space had plenty of room. Our room (maybe all the rooms) had outside door and window facing courtyard. The window did not open. Unfortunately the ac unit in our room was out of order. We used a box fan to circulate air and it was ok. Edit: in the morning, we told the manager/owner about the ac unit and he went to address it right away. Place needs some maintenance, but functional and enjoyable. Restaurant inside the courtyard (Burger Theory) was closed during our stay, but Village Inn & a sports bar to each side. We tried the sports bar and it was good. It had an outdoor seating area, which we chose.

I did not stay here. I don’t know why Google said I was there. It’s pretty creepy considering they are very accurate. On where I go. Anybody have any opinionS

I absolutely love this place! The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The staff are friendly, professional, and very accommodating. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The layout and design of this Holiday Inn is terrific. Each room faces the pool! Great, if you are staying with kids! I will definitely stay here again. Conveniently located to Busch Gardens and central to many eateries! There is also a delicious burger restaurant on-site and kids eat free with a paying adult. Definitely recommend!

I was caught off guard when going here. From the front it looks small and cramped up but when you go in it has plenty of room and then some. Everything is in the center and the rooms wrap around it.The pool is in the center which is very clean and looks refreshing just to get in. Then you have alot of seating outside and an elevator to take you to your floor . The room I had was kinda small but everything was new and so clean. The bathroom entrance door like slides open which was cool and there a big stand up mirror there and around the corner is the tub and shower and restroom. The bed was so comfortable with a great comforter and the pillows were so comfortable. I really liked the whole layout of this place and the rooms were so clean and comfortable. So I have to give it four stars.

Dishonest, they advertised room for $93 but wanted to charge over $200 per day. The company is dishonest from top down. Avoid Holiday Inn there will always be a sad surprise!

At checking time we were received with a very dry "what can I do for you?" Not even 1 smile during the entire time we were there. She actually had a bit of an attitude during the whole transaction. The kind that makes feel like... (I'm acting this way so you don't be bothering me nor asking me for anything during your time here type of attitude.) She also waited until we were done with the Check in process to then informed me that Restaurant was closed even though my reservation included breakfast. And pool, business center, Fitness center as well. Yet they still charged people full/regular price for the rooms. Rooms were renovated so it looked okay, but property still looks old and run down. Shower's drain was kinda clogged it took forever for water to go down. The gentleman that check us out was better or had a better attitude I should say.

Not very happy with this hotel. Front desk staff, very rude. First night our room wasn't clean and they said yeah, they didn't mop the floor correctly. Our last night they just didn't bother to clean the room at all. We had to go to the front desk to request towels and toilet paper. One lady was very nice, the other not. She even gave us towels with hair on them. A cleaning person was sent to our room to at least remove the trash, but she just gave me 2 trash bags and 2 rolls of tp. Unreal. Service is terrible. Would not recommend this particular hotel.

First, I have to congratulate the Holiday Inn in Tampa because of their excellent staffing their collaborators where epic at customer service! I first called to check availability and Travis in charge of the front desk answered the phone, he was the most helpful, cared for all of our needs even when we arrived in the middle of the night, very kind young man! He went above and beyond to make comfortable sleeping arrangements for us as we where a big party in the middle of a crowded holiday. The room was spectacularly clean, the beds super comfy, and not to mention the superb breakfast, I adored our stay and would definitely come back!
