The entire tasting menu was not only delicious but creative, clever, and beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience there and ate every morsel. There was so much flavor and texture in each dish. Mmmm! The attention to details and the knowledge our service attendants had with each plate were impeccable! Thank you for making our little wedding anniversary dinner date quite a delightful culinary experience! We will be back!

Really fun dining experience at rooster and the till!! It’s a unique and relatively pricey experience but it’s absolutely worthwhile! This is my first time trying New American cuisine, and it was so neat! I loved the various flavors and textures of the dishes we tried. The food is served tapas/small plates style, so everybody shares the various dishes (think dimsum style dining). Our server, Katie(?), was very pleasant and helpful with deciding dishes to try. I cannot wait to be back and try their other stuff!!

One word: delightful! We had such a nice time! We came for my wife's birthday and had decided to go for the chef's menu with the wine pairing, no doubt! We arrived and were sat quickly, the service was great and the six course six wine experience started right away! Let me tell you, what an experience! My favorite were the first three dishes, the lamb, a wrap, and a succulent sea bass! This was my first real wine pairing experience and I enjoyed it very much! Those two hours savoring delicious dishes went by quickly! At the end, for the last course, they were so nice to place a candle on my wife's plate and gifted us a card with well wishes from all the staff, that was so unexpected and really nice! We loved our experience! This was a $400+ experience, but it was fantastic!

Always love coming to this place, excellent food, well thought out. Drinks are a bit pricey but really well done. Service is ALWAYS first class with all the servers knowing everything about the food. The atmosphere is fun and enjoyable, just a little loud.

I went with my sister and we had an amazing experience! The food was delicious and very thought out. All the flavors were so complex and really blew us away. Our waiter and wait staff were so knowledgeable of the food and took the time to explain everything. Overall one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.

We did the tasting menu and it was fantastic. Every dish was pure art and delicious. The level of care taken with each part of plating these dishes was truly incredible and I cannot wait to go back and do the tasting menu again.

Tried out the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings. Everything was amazing. I am not a fan of octopus and somehow came away loving this version. Service was fast and very friendly. Would come back again.

This is the first restaurant I went to after moving to Tampa and what can I say, the bar has been set very high. We went during the happy hour deal and were able to get every food item for a great price, everything was nearly half off the usual price. The golden beets were the hit dish, very tender and flavorful. A close second has to be the fried artichokes with fondue that is prepared table side, amazing! The service matches the quality of the food to a T. Plates were constantly being changed and napkins being folded. Impeccable. The water served was also very crisp and refreshing. Once the menu is rotated, another visit is inevitable.

Simply put... amazing! The food not only exceeded my expectations, but surpassed them. Great Happy Hour menu, there was no wait to be seated at the bar and the bar staff were great to chat with. The helped us pick out some delicious dish items (Crispy Chicken thighs and the Cobia Collar are a must try) and fancy cocktails. The place is very selective about their spirits, which I actually found refreshing and forces you to try new things. I will say, be prepared to spend quite a bit, but believe me, it's worth it!

Delicious meal. We are visiting from San Francisco and we were very happy with our entire meal and experience. Lots of gluten free options in addition to being able to make modifications to a free more items. Really wish the tasting menu has gluten free because it looked amazing.

An extra star for the drinks… here’s my review: I don’t want to be mean but this restaurant is miles away from being in the same plain-field as a 1 Michelin star ⭐️ restaurant. It’s a little bit laughable that they think they can be in the same ball game. The gnocchi with beef was flat and a complete mess. I can do better and I’m no chef! The pork sandwich was mediocre at best. Why? the meat quality and tenderness was not there. The chicken thighs were tasty yet nothing to rave about. If this restaurant thinks they can overcharge for dishes, make the portions very smaller just to call it fine dining, then they are very mistaken. Save your cash and go elsewhere… this place needs a lot of work to be called fine dinning. However, the drinks were on point and hats off to the bartender! Wouldn’t return for dinner but would stop by for a drink.

I’ve heard of many tales of the excellent food served at this Tampa staple but words could not give justice to the meal I enjoyed on a late last minute reservation this Saturday night. If you like expanding your palate come to this restaurant ASAP! The entire staff is knowledgeable and accommodating. You will leave feeling like royalty 5 stars isn’t enough. Cheers!

Rooster & the Till have been in our date night bowl for a long time and we finally picked it this month. We we’re so excited to go here and we’re not disappointed. We made a reservation for 5:30 at the bar, where you can watch the chefs cook! I highly recommend doing that, it was so cool to watch our food be created in front of our eyes. The cooks are super experienced and very attentive to detail here. You can tell they’re passionate about what they create. For an appetizer, we started with their ‘Cheese Duo’. It was two dishes together. The first plate was quince paste, marinate olives, almonds, cheese, and sourdough. The second plate was fried artichokes, braised grapes, and truffle honey topped with Raclette Fondue. OMG! It was so good. We loved everything about this plate. If you’re a cheese lover, I highly recommend you order it. You can pick from a chef’s menu with 6 courses or do a la carte. We decided to do a la carte! For entrees, we tried two dishes. Our first dish was ‘Potato Crusted Fish’. It was tile fish wrapped in crispy potato, paired with a relish, dill oil, finger lime, and Creme fraiche. It was so delicious, the potato added a nice crunch and the Creme fraiche paired perfectly with the relish on top. For our second dish, we tried their ‘Gnocchi’, this has been on the menu since they opened 10 years ago and I can see why! It was Parisian-style short ribs, house made ricotta, and pickled pepernota. The presentation isn’t the most beautiful, but don’t let that fool you. It was outstanding. I could eat this all day, especially on a cold day. All the food was amazing and we were blown away. The staff was so friendly and very knowledgeable about everything. We will be back! This might be my second favorite restaurant in Tampa behind Haven. I’d love to try their Happy Hour! The menu changes all the time, so I can’t wait to try something new next time. Maybe next time we’ll try the chef’s menu. @living.with.reg

I love this restaurant. It's one of the best I've been to ever. It's my top recommendation in Tampa. Every dish is so well thought out and so well crafted. The service is attentive, and everyone there is knowledgeable.

The best restaurant in central Florida! The chef is a genius and is Michelin star worthy. The menu is fun, tasty, quirky, and creative. They're using exciting ingredients and doing what no one else is doing in Tampa! Excellent food! Definitely worth trying out. Check out their reasonably priced tasting menu. **chef kiss**

I got the tasting menu, and the Panna Cotta and Flan were amazing. Presentation of everything was great. However the sauce of the first course, Local Redfish, had a way overpowering taste and inedible, and the food had bits of ice in it, as if something wasn't defrosted properly. I have seen that happen with the coleslaw in fast food places but was not expecting that here. The Tamale was a bit bitter and its pasta was so undercooked that parts of it was crunchy. The quail came bone-in, was hard to eat, and wasn't expected in a tasting menu. I thought I'd be be blown away spending almost $500 for two people, but ended up with dishes that had issues.

The service and ambience are great. Though I would have no problem going back, I think next time I’d do a la carte because the tasting menu didn’t impress me. 2 of the courses were very good but I was not at all impressed by the remaining 4.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We went there to celebrate our anniversary. We were very happy with our experience there. They took care of the small details which made our celebration an unforgettable experience. It is a restaurant with a modern atmosphere. They manage the concept of the open kitchen. They have an excellent bar with great options. The menu is fantastic and very creative. All the dishes we tried were delicious and the combination of flavors was amazing. I loved their ice cream. Very unique.

I tried the happy hour slot (5-6:30 pm). They are first-come-first-served based and unfortunately they have like 10/15 seats for happy hour so if you are arrive later than 5/5:15 it's probably going to be difficult to find a spot. Definitely worth it, food in Tampa is rarely good as in here, almost gourmet. I am going to try a standard dinner for sure (and you can book a table for it). Absolutely recommend but pay attention on time slots and availability! 4 stars just because they have few seats for happy hour experience, but it's going to be a 5 (for sure) once that I'll have tried a dinner.

Our first time here and super impressed. How did it not even get a star?!? The food is super creative and everything tasted great. Even better, it’s not pretentious, the wait staff, hostess are all super friendly. The food here can rival many Michelin restaurants we’ve been to. We originally came to do the tasting menu but then saw their regular menu, which looked amazing! We’ll be back for the tasting menu and more.

Round two at Rooster and Till had me questioning if I accidentally stumbled into a culinary dollhouse – the meal sizes are petite, to say the least. But fear not, the Gnochi came in like a flavor superhero, saving the day in its tiny but mighty glory. I swear, it’s like they have a magician in the kitchen. The portions might be playing hide and seek, but the Gnochi deserves a standing ovation. I had to squint to see it, but oh, the taste! It’s like they’re running a covert operation of flavor explosions.

Unfortunately my mom and I got the Tasting Menu (Degustation) each and had a bad experience all around. The restaurant is extremely small and loud so my ears were ringing from the chatter of the tables next to us and the loud music. Plus the 6 course tasting menu was super expensive (bill came out to over $300), but there was not a single dish that my mom and I could pinpoint as being delicious. Each one was a little bit off. The wagyu beef particularly was disappointing since it was super dry and tough on the outside, to the point that my mom could not chew and swallow the tough parts of the meat. I really wanted to like this place, but I'm never going to come back and I would not recommend anyone to try this tasting menu.

A Bib Gourmand recommended that, in my opinion, is worthy of 1-Star rating. 6 dishes! And they did not miss a beat ... EVERYTHING we had was Outstanding! Cobia Collar, Tuna Crudo, Pork Cheek Roujiamo, Potato crusted Fish, Gnocchi, Rhubarb & Strawberries. Service was impeccable, we love Sabrina. We have no doubt they'll get the coveted 1-Michelin Star in 2024. I can't wait to come back. I want to try everything on their menu, so yes , IT is THAT GOOD. ❤️ Go check them out and you'll not get disappointed! 😉

Dear Mr. and Ms. Michelin : Kindly prominently affix at least two stars upon Rooster and the Till without any delay. I visited Rooster and the Till on August 18, 2023. We were presented with a card detailing a tasting menu. Without even so much as glancing at the offerings, we threw caution to the wind and ordered it blind along with the wine pairings. What a spectacular decision it was ! Mere words cannot not give proper justice to the experience. Each course was properly planned with sophisticated insight. This was one of the very rarest of occasions when all senses can be activated to work in harmony - elevated, layered tastes ; deep aromas ; varied sights ; textured feels ; and if you paid close enough attention, there were even sounds. And each course was methodically built to be bridged upon the last - it was a true masterpiece symphony. I have only been in Tampa for about nine months now, but I eat out nearly every night. I have enjoyed many places that are on different levels and have not loved others. On this top tier, I very much like places such as Ponte, Meat Market, Steelbach, and Lilac and very much dislike places such as Bern’s and Rocca. For me, this meal toppled my other favorites ! It is correct that this is a very expensive meal and not one you would have other than occasionally. But it is one you should have - even if you have to skip eating out several times to save for this experience - you should. Thus again, Mr. and Ms. Michelin (and Santa, Easter Bunny, Hanukkah Harry, Tooth Fairy, or anyone else in authority) kindly prominently affix at least two stars upon Rooster and the Till without any delay.

Me and my family went for a birthday celebration on Sept 8th- we wore red so we can promote the night even more. The ambience is really chill- the music playing overhead and the chefs are in the middle of the floor. It seems a little cramped but once the drinks and food comes out the environment and palettes open up. We ordered crispy chicken thighs, gnocchi, short ribs and Fazzoletti Nero. It was delectable, rich in ingredients and the food presentation was pleasing. The portions are not small but not big- it will get you full. I got a stain on my white shirt and the owner gave me a Tide pen. 10-10. I will be back to try the Cobia Collar

I've dined at Rooster & The Till three times for their tasting menu and twice for à la carte. The restaurant excels in introducing new dishes each visit, providing a delightful surprise every time. The latest tasting menu, though a bit heavy, showcased standout dishes. I particularly enjoyed the octopus course, complemented by a refreshing touch of squid ink that prevented palate fatigue. However, the sequencing of placing pork belly before wagyu seemed impractical, as it led to a richness overload, affecting the wagyu's texture. Nonetheless, each course individually was impressive.

Highly overpriced for the food served and the price you pay for. It’s all presentation but lacks taste and serving portions. For the price I see other better options in Tampa that I can visit, enjoy a nice meal and have a great experience.

Gnocchi fans take note, their pasta will knock your socks off! Also loved the Shadowboxing cocktail, like a mojito with a pineapple twist. Another drink we tried, Hidden Treasure, was delicious and made with passion fruit. The waitress was great, she tried to warn me that the dumplings were spicy 🥵 I should have listened, really had a hard time with the chili oil. Other than that dumpling dish, it was a lovely meal.

The service was excellent. The food is definitely a unique culinary experience. One thing that we ordered was the crispy chicken thighs which came to us uncooked, but it was corrected and we got a new order which tasted great. The eggplant raviolo was on the bland side and was ok. The white asparagus tasted great but the asparagus itself was a bit stringy. The cheese plate was excellent with the fried sourdough. The best dish we had was the smoked beets which was delicious. Overall, the experience is good.

Food was a cut above the normal restaurant but not really anything crazy to write home to mom about. I guess I was expecting more from the hype and lead time to actually get in here. Food was plated well and explained eloquently. The wine pairing was pretty good. The duck was probably the best dish, along with the Wagyu Tallow. But again, the food itself left a bit more to be desired. The flavor fushions were pretty cool. Some of the flavors and textures crashed; like on the red fish dish and the pasta with the corn silk. All in all, the experience and abiance were cool enough to give it a second chance. I would still recommend it.

We prefer the tasting menu. Always outstanding. And we added the seared foie gras for an extra closing course. Rooster likely boasts the best chef in Tampa.

  • 4/5 Jared S. 1 year ago on Google
Overall a very good experience. Surprised to see this restaurant does not have any stars for the food alone. Extremely complex combinations on every course actually paired well. My main criticism is the environment was more like a bar/night club which seems counterintuitive to a more fine dining menu. The service was really good but a little slower than I would have expected. I would definitely come back though and try some of the stand-alone items.

My significant other and I shared a birthday dinner at Rooster & The Till expecting little more than your typical dining experience. However, we were beyond pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food, service, and ambiance! Karlyn & Nick made sure that we felt at home and attended to from the moment we arrived. The food here is so special, it is creative to its core. You can taste the talent of the kitchen staff in each bite as you’re presented with flavor combinations you’ve never considered before. The staff here know they have food to be proud of and show it through their endless knowledge of every dish down to their individual ingredients and are more than enthusiastic to share that knowledge with you. They have it all here— attentive staff, great music, and exceptional food. Rooster is a must-try in the Seminole Heights neighborhood, don’t be a chump and miss out on this gem.

The tasting menu is a culinary experience that I would say is worth every penny. We had 6 courses- each of which was a delectable combination of flavors. It included grilled quail, a local red fish, their rendition of a tamale, braised duck and two sweet but savory desserts. Each course had been thoughtfully curated and we enjoyed them thoroughly. Nice to see a place of this caliber in Tampa, the chefs are clearly experienced in catering for a fine dining experience. The drinks were nothing to write home about but weren’t bad either. Its said that they switch up the tasting menu every few months and I’ll certainly try again next time I’m in Tampa.

WOW, Amazing place to experience real good food. Don't go there to eat, go there to enjoy good food, amazing atmosphere, and phenomenal service. Second to none. You can see the artists working from the table and believe me, you will be amazed. Try it it's worth it. We did the 6 course tasting menu and will go back.for more.

We had our date night at Rooster and the Till tonight and did their Degustation Menu. Ho. Ly. Cow. Everything was so delicious. Hugo was an awesome server and Benny was so nice and friendly. When you come, make sure you get the seating that overlooks the kitchen! Such a unique experience. Cool vibes, the most delicious food and amazing service. Loved their Zero Proof menu too! Can’t wait to go back.

Among the 3 to 5 best restaurants in the Tampa Bay region. Really hard to pick just one among the growing number of amazing local restaurants. So much passion and execution. Whether happy hour, brunch, tasting menu…lots of great ways to enjoy this restaurant. They’ve added a liquor license too. Whether you’re a local or visitor, this is a must go to restaurant.

Sat at the counter, had a great view of the action. They run a tight ship! Menu is concise but many options for all kinds of eaters. Loved the crispy chicken thighs! The asparagus, beets, and gnocchi (all different dishes) were also superb. Will definitely return.

Our first time. We sat at the bar and got to order from the complete menu. The drinks are small but very tasty. The bar atmosphere was fun. The bartenders where exceptional. I liked that they let us share our meal seared scallops & gnocchi. They didn’t bring it out together which made an excellent experience enjoying each meal separately. Both dishes had really unique flavors. Would definitely recommend and come back again.
