Tried out this little place with my daughter today as we both wanted some sushi. If you're not looking for it, you could definitely drive right past it. It is most definitely worth stopping in for a roll or two though. We were seated very quickly, everything was very clean (even the bathrooms), and our waiter was super friendly and helpful. Our food was brought out to us in a very timely manner and everything was absolutely delicious. We tried 3 different rolls and loved each of them. We now have another favorite place.

Their servers are always giving great energy. I personally believe they have some of the best staff I have seen in a restaurant. The food is always amazing and the drinks are really good. The volcano and Godzilla rolls are so good, highly recommend. I have only had sushi here and my wife and I get 5 rolls every time we go.

Ambiance is very nice, service was super friendly. We ordered the Sushi Jo and the Pork Bulgogi. The sushi was very good, great portion, fresh, very good. The pork bulgogi was flavorless and tough. I wouldn't recommend the pork bulgogi. I have had the japchae on another occasion and had high hopes. Still enjoy SariOne's pork bulgogi more. I'd recommend highly if only rating on the sushi. Will absolutely give it another try and update this review when we do. Note: the lettuce wraps were like a deconstructed salad. Very healthy

Specifically asked for a booth, was advised by the front hostess that was unavailable because he did not have the time. Five minutes later two other young women came in and he sat them in the same booth that he said he was not able to clean. Horrible customer service. Sat at the busiest most highly trafficked table in the entire restaurant and not once was I offered even a water.

DELICIOUS! The service was great and the food came out fast! I had gone with a friend, it was both of first times and the atmosphere was good to be in. I liked the lunch combo they had, worth it. I will be back! 🍣

Definitely a go-to spot for many people. I love how you can get sushi and Korean food at the same time. Every time I go, the food is consistent, fresh, and the staff is helpful with any ingredient substitutions. The wait for dinner can vary on party size, I realize, and there’s a nice room for larger parties. I think calling aha was and making a reservation is worth it. Parking is available in their side and back lot.

So I never coming back to this restaurant ever again. It has changed! Don't waste your time or money here. Our food took forever and is was marginal at best. My one child had to wait for her food long after the rest of us received ours. Noone checked on us ever. I has to find soy sauce. Napkins, and chop sticks from the restaurant take out. I then had to bus my own table and gran my own takeout boxes. This was an absolute nightmare. When I complained after I had to track down the bill from the take out guy....they didn't even care a bit.

Exceeded my expectations! A friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint! They were very aware and sensitive to allergies, and were amazing at simple accommodations-like leaving things out, or on the side for others to have. Great service. Fresh sushi!

Hi, It’s Stephen again I have visited Sushi Ninja and here what I can say Food 🥘 Amazing variety of sashimi really impress me with its tender and freshness in each piece. Personally, I like the fried head shrimp as well as sweet shrimp sashimi as I love to feel the sweetness and great texture of the shrimp itself. I also tried the Korean dish along with the full meal of sashimi, its name is Doen jang Chigae. I can describe it over the spicy taste kick in for creating the explode flavor of tofu & tasty soup base. Service 🙏 The assigned waitress was very hospice to me and provide the 5/5 overall service to my table. Thanks! Atmosphere 😶‍🌫️ The lounge table is great and spacious to enjoy a big meal. The theme of the restaurant has a dark theme and many similarities like other restaurant within Tampa.

The sushi here was so fresh and very good. The vibe is ok, nothing special, but it seems to be very popular with the locals. Just the great sushi alone will have me coming back! I had the Jamie Rolls and I forgot the name of the one with the salmon on top... but they were so good! The tea was too weak... tasted almost like warm water, but did I mention how good the sushi was? Lol Update: came back again and the sushi was still good and so was the customer service!

First time eating here, won’t be my last! The hostess said there was a 25 minute wait which was fine. We sat a high top table and hot a drink from the bartender. He was friendly and welcoming then we got seated in a booth. To start I had a ginger salad and Miso soup, both were excellent. We ordered the Okay roll and some kind of tuna roll, I forgot the name of it. Omg they were both awesome, probably some of the best sushi I’ve eaten. Definitely go check it out. I will be back

I live in the Citrus Park area of northwest Tampa, and sometimes during the weekend or week I spend some time in South Tampa by my friend's house. She's been raving about Sushi Ninja to me for awhile, but I'm always hesitant because I have the autoimmune Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, and anything with soy like soy sauce is out of the question. But today I finally looked at the menu and said why not, as long as I could get something that suited me. My friend got the Mexican Markimono & Paradise rolls, and I got the shrimp dinner. However I explained my soy allergy to Ron and he worked with me to have the shrimp and broccoli cooked without teriyaki sauce....and it came out perfect. The shrimp were nice and tender, the broccoli steamed al dente, and the sticky rice was delicious. Chloe came by many times to make sure everything was correct, she was super sweet, attentive, and a great conversationalist. My food was so good that when I took my leftovers, I was able to re-cook it tonight with soy-free Coconut Aminos teriyaki sauce and ginger 🍤🍛 and the sweet and green tea's were refreshing as well 🍵 I'm definitely a fan now! Best wishes 😎 Chand

This place is a little unassuming as it is in a strip mall with a gym and nail salon. Don’t let that be a reflection of the food. This is my go to sushi place in Tampa. The sushi is fresh, the portions are large and the service is always good.

We have lived up the street from this place for over a year and only just came here a few weeks ago. I really wish we would've come sooner! The sushi is fire! Great service, too. The spicy crunchy tuna roll is awesome, and we've gotten it every time we've been so far (three times in less than a month). Gorilla roll is insane, huge, and delicious. Can't wait to hit up the Korean menu!

If you are looking for a welcoming, friendly, experience this is NOT the place to go. This is my first time in the restaurant and I was excited to try the food based on all the rave reviews I have had from coworkers, friends, family. I decided to go in and have a self-care day even though I was alone I still asked for a booth to be comfortable. I was advised by the hostess/busboy he could not make that happen. Five minutes later two other women came in he sat them down. I was sat at the most inconvenient table being passed by multiple servers even the hostess/busboy and was never even offered a water. However the tables sat right after me were greeted offered water etc. I can’t help but think negatively based off of this experience. When I addressed the concerns to the hostess he looked at me and advised ehh “we’re pretty busy”

Absolutely delicious sushi. The best I’ve had in Tampa. The portions of sashimi are huge and delicious. Fish is fresh. Volcano roll is the best with the baked fish on top. Service is usually really good with conscious steps of service. Bring people here when they are in from out of town. First time we visited it did take awhile to get the kimchi pancake so we cancelled the order but other than that, amazing! Have been here 3 times and plan to be back!

First time I eat at Sushi Ninja and thought it was really good. I liked the food and service was good. It’s a Monday night and I’m sure it gets busier during the weekend but I definitely recommend it!

The food here never disappoints! Much prefer their sushi over other big names in the area. Take out and Dine in are both great.

  • 2/5 Raymond L. 9 months ago on Google
No adequate serving staff is available to handle 1/3 of tables they have... which means you will still have to wait to be seated for 15 min while a bunch of tables are not taken. I have zero patient for mishandling. Don't get me wrong. No reservation is available for 5 or less. No diaper changing table. Your baby is not welcome here. A lot of korean menu had been removed.. Time to move on.

My service was friendly and quick. I ordered the lunch special. It came with two rolls and a soup. Everything was delicious! My ice tea glass was always full, and I was given a to-go cup. They serve Korean food here as well. Overall, this was a nice din8ng experience.

Hands-down, the best sushi I have ever ate in from multiple states. Service was amazing as well! There was a slight wait which is to be expected with the quality of food! If I could rate higher then 5 I would!

Presentation and service was good. Looked clean. Teriyaki beef and chicken were good. I did not like the sushi but the rest of my family did, so might just be me.

We were seated fairly quickly. I wasn't really impressed with the sushi here but I will be back to try the Korean cuisine offered. We got the Osaka roll, tuna amazing, and the Hannah roll. Service was a bit slow. Calamari appetizer wasn't that great either. Not sure what the hype is about. There were a lot of younger people here - not that it’s an issue but it was just something that stood out. Lots of late teens early 20s year olds.
