This place is really cute, great service, however the food is Mediocre at best. I ordered a bowl of fruit because I saw someone else with a nice bowl, and this is what I received. They should have been ashamed to serve it.

The breakfast was really good here. The food came out fairly fast after we ordered. Our server was very friendly too. They have a small patio outside.

Food quality is poor and far from fresh. Could taste the whole refrigerator contents in the crepe that had been marinating in there for the night. The avocado toast was edible, however. And please bring your own silverware if you don't want to spend time trying to clean/polish it at the table.

If you are in the area and don't stop here, you are missing out!!! We walked here from our hotel and it was a great walk to an even better destination. We were greeted outside where we sat down, I entered and the host gave me menus and told us someone would be with us shortly. Our server which I wish I could remember his name was top notch, so present and happy. Once we ordered it took (in all seriousness) maybe 8 minutes to get our food. Fastest food service for freshly made fantastic food in all my life. The potatoes were scorching and sandwiches the same! Yummy! I order the Cuban and haven't had one equivalent to what this place offers since I lived down in south FL. My husband ordered the Ruben and it must have been good bc I didn't even get a taste before it was gone. We will be back next time we are in town!

I drove from out of town looking for a homestyle breakfast restaurant. The service was good, but the quality of the food did not add up to what I've seen online. I ordered the original Grand Slam breakfast meal. My total bill was $35 between my wife and I. The pancakes were undesirable. Seems like they used the microwave to heat it instead of creating it. The women's bathroom was below standards at 8:30 a.m. It's to the point I rather not say the unforgettable items my wife saw while using the restroom. It's a shame because the staff and waiters are so nice.

We visited the Tampa Art Museum and took a Saturday afternoon stroll on the River Walk. Samaria Cafe was close by and reasonably priced. We ordered three sides of Ratatouille and a baguette for appetizers. Yum. My wife got the walnut, turkey and brie crepe, I got the philly cheese steak and home fries, son #4 got the Monte Cristo sandwich, son #3 got the brie fillet on a skillet with fried egg on top, and son #2 got the chicken Caesar salad. The chicken in the salad was a bit dry, but the other dishes were all very good. 5 stars-- more of a sidewalk diner with both inside and sidewalk tables. Not as fancy as some of the other River Walk fare, but a third the price. We'll be back to try some of the other fun dishes. Where else can you get Ratatouille?

Shaded outside seating was nice for a quick brunch. Avocado omelette was good with lots of cheddar cheese and a good deal of veggies. Seems like a solid brunch spot with lots of options for breakfast or lunch. I’d be interested to try one of the Eggs Benedict dishes if I stopped by again.

🌟🌟🌟 Fine Dining Experience at Samaria Cafe 🍳🏙️ Situated at 502 N Tampa St, Tampa, FL 33602, Samaria Cafe presents itself as a breakfast spot worth checking out, even if my experience landed at 3/5 stars. Here's the scoop on my visit: 👩‍🍳 Christina: The Hilarious Server! 🤣💎 Our encounter with Christina, our server, was an unexpected highlight. With her humor and charm, she added a dash of entertainment to our meal. 😄💬 Her vibrant personality shone through, making our dining experience much more enjoyable. If you visit, I highly recommend requesting Christina for a side of laughter with your meal. 🎉👏 🏙️ Downtown Vibes, Nothing Extravagant 🌆🍽️ Samaria Cafe, nestled in Downtown Tampa, boasts a simple and straightforward atmosphere. While it may not be adorned with fancy decorations or remarkable furnishings, it offers a comfortable place to grab a bite. We chose to sit outside, soaking in the urban surroundings. 🏙️☕ The outdoor seating was fine, but it didn't provide any particularly unique features to enhance the experience. 🪑 🍳 A Fair Brunch with a Side of "Okay" 🥪🍳 Turning to the food, I opted for the Vegetable Omelette, a blend of tomatoes, onions, green peppers, spinach, and mushrooms. While the description sounded promising, the execution was just okay. 🥦🍄 My friend tried one of the sandwiches, which left us both feeling like the choices we made were decent but not particularly memorable. The overall verdict? Average food without any standout flavors. 🍞🥚 💰 Slightly Overpriced for the Experience 🤷‍♂️💸 The one aspect that fell a bit flat was the price point. While the food and atmosphere were okay, the cost seemed slightly on the higher side given the overall experience. It's essential to feel that you're getting good value for your money, and this was an area where Samaria Cafe missed the mark. 🍳 In a Nutshell: A "Fine" Breakfast Spot 🍞🍽️ To sum it up, Samaria Cafe offers a "fine" dining experience with a touch of humor from the delightful Christina. While the atmosphere is nothing to write home about, and the food falls under the category of "okay," it may not be the most remarkable breakfast spot in Tampa. However, if you find yourself in the area and are looking for a straightforward meal, Samaria Cafe could fill that void. 🍳🏙️ Remember, dining experiences can vary, so it's worth giving it a try and forming your own opinion. After all, everyone's taste buds and preferences are unique. 🍽️👅

Place needs some updating and better housekeeping. It was dirty and gross. Servers were unfriendly and we had to ask for water twice and when it did come, we were already at the end of our meal. Food was so so, and the eggs were salty.

Amazing breakfast spot in downtown Tampa. The crepes are yummy and large. The bakery items are made fresh daily & mouth watering. Must try the French press coffee. All I can say is WOW

My family and I came here and everything was horrendous. The service was horrible, it took 30 minutes for me and my siblings to get coffee. But I’m not in the service industry so I figured hey maybe they’re just busy. Then again it shouldn’t take an hour plus for us to get food. Literally the table next to us had THREE groups of people come and go before we got our drinks, food and check. We were seated at 11:30 and didn’t leave until 1:40 and none of us eat slow. I’ve never written a review before in my life but that’s how bad this place was. Then when we asked to speak to manager Christine, instead of hearing out what we had to say and take responsibility the way a manager should, she walked off on us while we were speaking to her. Didn’t even offer us a discount or anything not even free coffees for how long it took. For all my Florida people you could have drove from Port St. Lucie to Tampa in the amount of time it took us to get seated to the point we ate and got our checks. By far the WORST dining experience I’ve ever had to the point I actually have to leave a review which is something I never do wether it be positive or negative. Then they forced a 18% gratuity on the bill which was completely outrageous. Not only will I ever come here again or any of my family I recommend NOBODY come here.

My friends and I went on a busy day (Gasparilla) and even with all that, the service was excellent. The hostess told us it was a 30 minute wait and it was exactly that so definite loved the efficiency. Waitress was super nice and friendly. The restaurant was busy but still we got our food in a timely manner as well as our coffee. It was amazing. Overall loved the food and love the service. The price for the food is also fair. Definitely recommend.

Was staying nearby on a business trip and looking for a good place for breakfast. The staff at our hotel recommended Samaria and it definitely did not disappoint. In fact it was so good we ate there every morning for four days straight. All the staff was lovely but Terry really was so warm and inviting. Everything is made fresh and the quality and portions are very consistent. The omelettes are definitely bigger than what I get in NY. You can tell a lot of pride goes into every dish. They have dishes with a French influence as well but I stuck to their omelettes and would take a wrap to go with their homemade potato chips for lunch. Home now and already missing their breakfast!

Definitely disappointed with our experience here. Our family went to a lunch on a Monday after Christmas Day and ran into a packed place—which is not the problem because we’ve been to places in the same situation and had better service. Food, service, and are the main points for this review. It took us maybe ten to fifteen minutes to speak with someone to get our names on the list, and after we went after someone. After our wait, we were seated. Ordered our food. But it took almost one hour to have it ready and delivered to our table, and it wasn’t tasty. Prior to receiving our food, one of the waiters finally told us that that day they only had two cooks in the kitchen—if we had known that by the get go, we wouldn’t have stayed because we have kids and it’s hard to manage them when they’re hungry. I think there’s a lack of management here for these types of situations. It’s not the frontline’s fault, especially because later during our experience we heard about the cooks situation. Other than that, I think needs the restaurant needs better care. On our way to the bathroom we see shelves completely disorganized with a mixture of food containers, boxes and electronics. Horrible!

My fiancée recommended this restaurant to me during my layover in Tampa Bay! I ordered the chicken pesto panini and it was a juicy chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked to perfection and it was a generous portion of Chicken. The bread was ok, the cheese was nicely melted, the spinach added a nice balance to the sandwich, and the tomato however made the sandwich soggy. Overall the sandwich was delicious and that pesto was well seasoned. Each sandwich came with a side and the fries were crispy on the outside, but fluffy in the inside. My server was nice and attentive. The ambiance gave me cafe vibes. I would definitely come here again and try the rest of their extensive menu!

Food was 4.5! Secured a table outside, nice and shady. So many great options, waitress recommended the crepe with ratouille and goat cheese(forgot the name) was SO good! Chocolate croissant and French press were the perfect addition. 10/10 recommend.

For Saturday morning breakfast we decided to have breakfast at Samaria Café. For breakfast we ordered Mango Smoothie, Strawberry Smoothie, Country Benedict, Avocado Omelet and French Toast. First our smoothie's came and the smoothie's were good in taste and amazing. We didn't had to wait much for our food as service was quick. The food was good. We still believed food can be made more delicious but it was a good food experience.

It was my first time eating at this restaurant. Our server was very friendly and her recommendations were all amazing! We also had a chance to speak to the owner who was so pleasant to talk to. They have many original dishes from France 🇫🇷 in their menu and the ones we chose were very fresh and priced right. Both meals were delicious. I had the ratatouille crepe and it was fantastic! We will definitely be back to try other options of the menu.

Decent spot for breakfast in downtown Tampa. The interior decor offers no sense of ambiance whatsoever, but the food is pretty good. We got the eggs Benedict, grits, and biscuits with sausage gravy.

Came here from the airport for breakfast! They were super accommodating with allowing us to keep suitcases in the corner. Our waitress was Madison and she was great! Super kind and attentive. We had eggs Benedict and the monte cristo. Both were great. And the home fries were sooo good. a lot of good flavor to them. Really friendly atmosphere and there’s cute outdoor seating too!

Food was tasty and nutritious, but under-seasoned. Got a crepe with home fries while dining in and a gyro to go. As a fellow restaurant owner, I was disappointed that my server, Laisha, didn’t follow up a single time with me after she dropped off my meal. I will be privately leaving more detailed critiques via your Spothopper QR code. You have a great thing going here, and it’d be a damn shame if bad service is what brought it down.

I am never one to bash small businesses online, especially during the pandemic, but this is one time where I will have to make an exception. I have worked in restaurants my entire life and I have never had such a bad experience with restaurant management as I did here. I dined here with a group of 5 on my birthday for a quick lunch while we were in the area. We stopped at the Mexican restaurant across the street, but the wait was too long, so we decided to go to this restaurant instead. Unfortunately that was a huge mistake. Our food was decent and the server was nice, the prices were reasonable, and everything about the actual experience was pretty good, though unremarkable. It wasn’t until about 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant that I realized I had left my sunglasses there. I went back and the server told me they had found them and put them at the host’s stand, though when we went there, they were nowhere to be found. They were getting ready to close, and they basically ushered me to leave without my glasses after not looking for them at all. This was an issue because I was leaving town early the next morning. I left and did not ever receive a call. After calling back the next day they assured me that they did not look or check the cameras to get to the bottom of where my glasses were. This is strange to me because if you had an employee who had stolen, wouldn’t you want to know? I filed a police report so that the police could check the cameras as these were rather expensive sunglasses, but since it is lost property the police won’t be sent out to investigate this. All in all a truly terrible experience that could simply have been solved with a quick look at the cameras.

Very nice breakfast with outdoor seating. I had the grand slam and my wife had the avacado omelette. My breakfast was cooked as ordered and tasted good. My wifes omelette was fluffy and very tasty. One thing that I really appreciated was that they warmed the syrup before they brought it so my pancakes didn’t get cold from pouring cold syrup on them.

I tried out a new (to me) cafe in Downtown Tampa. If you blink, you might miss it so DON'T BLINK! This quaint little eatery has a flamingo speckled and palm tree theme to remind you that you are indeed in Tampa! Samaria Cafe has been there for about 10 years and the current owner, a delightful French woman named Karine, bought the restaurant just before COVID. She has adorned the menu with a few French classics like ratatouille (so yummy and a nice presentation) and crepes. The Crepe Brulee... OK y'all... imagine the custard of an expertly crafted Creme Brulee on top of a crepe, then topped with sugar... Then BRULEED! You get the satisfying crack of that brulee and all the goodness underneath. This one was my fave. It is not the most picturesque but my taste buds did not care! The Crepe NY Style was shaped like a pizza slice and had cheesecake, strawberries, and whipped cream. It did NOT disappoint! We started with the juices, fresh and made in house. The Simple Green is quite vegetal and was almost like a green gazpacho. It was delicious, but didn't have a juice feel to me. The Sunrise was citrusy, bright, and not overly sweet. The Flamingo Juice was the table favorite which was watermelon juice and lime. I could drink that all day, every day! The Mimosa, Chai Latte, and Cafe Mocha were also DELISH! You may even enjoy a little champs with the flamingo juice The Charcuterie is a must have for the table. Brie, goat, swiss, meats, baguette... Lovely! And it is served on little plates from the owner's childhood! VERY nice touch! The California Benedict had PERRRRFECTLY poached eggs, impeccable hollandaise, avo, bacon, side of hash browns (but you get choices). The Omelette was MASSIVE and stuffed and absolutely sharable! Rosie got breakfast potatoes with it. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Food was well prepared, but bland. Mostly fresh, but sent avocados back twice as they both had lots of dark spots. Service was pretty good, but my friend said when she got home she realized that she was over charged.

It’s a cute cafe. The food was good! A lot of salt on the grits and I felt like hollandaise sauce was lacking a little bit of flavor. The service was ok. But very good overall!

Nice location cute little greasy spoon. The eggs were not close to over medium, non eat able for me. The country fried steak was great along with the gravy and hashbrowns. Server was great she was training a very polite younger man. She did fail to ask how our food was.

I drive from Orlando to eat here. Be ready for the best possible version of your favorite foods! Close your eyes and randomly pick an item off the menu and you will be gleaming with satisfaction as you are even compelled to eat what you pick out of your teeth! And the staff makes you feel special.... I don't understand how a lot of reviews say "I love their ___" , and "their ___ is AMAZING"... And yet leave 3 or 4 stars?? I'm telling you, if you are anywhere near here, you have the best experience waiting for you. Great food! Great service!

The food was great. I love a good Reuben sandwich and the flavor was amazing. Their fries are battered and crispy. I would recommend eating here. I told my wife I want to go back for a snack after dinner because that Reuben tasted so good. The service here is great. They have indoor and outdoor tables.

Had an amazing brunch there this morning! I love that you can order breakfast or lunch all day. I had lunch at 9 am :) Try the vegetable panini. It was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! The server was amazing, too! We will back next time we are in town!

We are very picky when it comes to breakfast! We like salmon eggs Benedict, avocado toast, great coffee and we were afraid we wouldn’t find a place that has all that in Tampa. But this place is truly amazing! Delicious food! Definitely best breakfast in Tampa and the location is very nice! Friendly staff) definitely recommend!

Great location. Wide-variety of food options, including healthy choices. My Crepe was delicious. My husband's eggs & hash browns were cold, unfortunately. The coffee was delicious. The restaurant wasn't as clean as what we prefer, but tolerable. We received nice-sized portions. Our server was excellent. A friendly cafe.
