I'd give this hotel 0 stars if there was a option to do so. My sisters and I drove 4 hours to Tampa to see Luke Combs. We picked this hotel because we got a good deal and it was 5 minutes from the stadium. Upon arrival, the lobby smelled like mold and there were no staff around. The real chaos happened when we came back to the hotel after the concert. First, our key cards didn't work. There was no manager on staff and the front desk employee gave us new cards. Those cards didn't work. He never asked for our IDs or any kind of identification . He said that the battery in the door must have died and all of our belongings were in the room. He had to use a screwdriver to break into the room window as they had no protocol to open the door. Mind you, it was 90 degrees out and the humidity was raging. Then he tells us that they had one more room. If you can believe it, that room also didn't open because it was locked from the inside. We were told that a manager would be there at 8AM. I told her we'd be back in the morning. We then had to call the Marriott and booked their last room for $400 because the Ramada had no more rooms. The next morning, there was no manager on staff and they would not refund us. I asked when the manager would be back and they said Tuesday and the man last night lied to us. This was a valuable lesson for us. Pay the extra money and stay at another hotel. I've never experienced such chaos and stupidity. Wasn't worth the discount in the slightest. Don't stay here.

Reading these reviews I'm not sure I stayed at the same hotel. Yes, the staff was lovely but all else was a disaster. Spend more, get a better hotel because even for an airport hotel this was horrible. The room had an overpowering smell of cleaner. So much so that we were overwhelmed by it. We tried to air it out by opening the door to the "courtyard" but the overpowering smell of the cigarette laden empty planters caused us to pick the antiseptic smell instead. The window curtain rod fell off in our hands and the shower control broke and wouldn't allow us to turn off the water. On top of this the airport shuttle was taken in for service, stranding us and a few other guests without a way to get to the airport without spending money on an uber. Honestly that was the sole purpose of an airport hotel. Wyndham, you need to do better! Oh, but if you are bored its flanked by a few gentleman's clubs... Great area (sarcasm)

My father in law booked a room here because it was close to the airport. I will start by saying the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, a good staff can't make up for the rest of the hotel. Lobby looks decent up on waking in, but that's pretty much where it stops. The halls between the rooms and any common areas near the rooms weren't well maintained. I've lived in Florida my whole life, so I understand our weather and the effects on buildings, but this was just neglect. The rooms themselves smelt horrible. A strong lingering musk as if you left your clothes in the washer for a week. Didn't get a pic of the dresser, but all 3 drawers were hanging off the hinge. I stepped outside to view the pool because the smell in the room was intolerable, and I noticed the gutter was so clogged it was growing weeds out of it. Stagnant water in Florida is never good, and probably contributing to the smell. Regardless, you can tell the place is not well maintained or cleaned. Didn't even want to try the pool after I saw all the filth in the corners and floors of the common areas. I was visiting my father in law, but if it was my room I would have left. I'd give 1 star, but the staff really was kind and helpful when we needed it. AC was cold tho 🤷‍♀️

NOT SAFE for SMALL CHILDREN. Hurricane victims be ware!!! Ramada should be ashamed for calling this a hotel!!! It is an OLD MOTEL by all modern standards. Bathrooms are horrible; they are very old and gross. The showers need to be resurfaced, but instead they just painted over old, cracking tile and it looks like rust or blood stains are on them. Showers and bathtubs are literally located right next to the toilet with broken drain closure pieces. Not safe for babies or small children. A speck of blood was around the toilet, so I know the cleaning people are not using bleach. We were displaced after the hurricane and desperately needed an affordable place to stay. This was the best priced option. But it was so bad, we had to cancel our reservation and went back to live without electricity and water. Such a disappointment to be so hopeful for a place, then find out you just left one disaster to go to another. Gave me anxiety just being here. We wasted gas and money just trying to get here only to be let down by the lack of quality. These reviews can't all be real. Possibly paid marketing? I will no longer trust anything with the Ramada or Wyndham name on it!! 2 stars instead of 1 because the people at the front desk were kind about canceling. It isn't there fault Ramada was being cheap and didn't update the place. Oh and none of the gift shops were open, doors were closed and lights were out. Hurricane victims be ware!!

I have been to many hotels and Wyndham Tampa Airport has gone into the top 5 worst hotels i have ever stayed in. First of all this is not a hotel, but a motel. The reason I stayed here is because of the shuttle van service to the airport but listen, you would definitely want to spend 30 more dollars and go somewhere else. The rooms a filthy and the showers are moldy. The motel is pretty run down. The staff were nice and welcoming, so no problem there. But the premises are disgusting. The first room we were assigned to had been smoked in and smelled horrible. So we asked to be changed and we got another room that had mildew smell and was filthy, specially the floors. So i guess that's why they price their rooms 30-40 dollars bellow average. I completely regretted staying even one night.

DO NOT TRUST these pictures!!! While I agree it’s affordable, this hotel is very run down. Took 3 hours to check in between the door locks not opening and or locking before being walked directly to a room to confirm it wasn’t working. And it was me and another unrelated couple dealing with similar issues. Joy to mention the party before me sharing a similar if not worse ordeal. They couldn’t refund my money or set me up in another hotel so just had to suffer through it because it was too late at night. The staffer though, poor guy, was new and doing his best following protocols out his control. Save your time and energy if you can. For another $100 someplace else it’d be less a headache

This hotel should be your last resort. If i could give this place 0 stars, i would, the only reason there is a star is because ramon was amazing at his services. My boyfriend and i came to stay here and it was an unbelievable experience, truly. To start off, our first rooms tile was lifting from the floor, when we made a complaint, ramon was nice enough to change our rooms and that one was much better than the last. Our last night here, we heard a bunch of commotion, coming from down the hall. We look through the window and there’s two officers conversing outside of our room. my boyfriend and i ended up going to the store right up the street and we see a forensic truck outside the hotel, we get back to head up to our room and about 30 minutes later, they’re rolling a dead body to the elevator. mind you this is happening two rooms from us. Then, I look to find out that this isn’t the first person to die in this specific building. It was an uncomfortable experience and i’m honestly traumatized by it,couldn’t sleep at all. i can’t even imagine how it must’ve felt for the person who was with the dead body. Such a sad situation, may their souls rest in peace.

When I arrived and checked in, the key to my room didn't work so I went to get a new one, which didn't work either. The staff had to climb in through the window to open my door from the inside. They promised me a new room that I could move into the next morning. I ended up not being able to get in the new room until the next night. I had to pack everything and take it back to my car and bring it all back the next day. They knew the keypad for the door didn't work but tried to play it off, the worker knew exactly how to get into the room through the window. They never offered a discount so I told them I wanted one. The lady at the desk said she'd talk to the manager and make sure a discount was added upon checkout. I left before my daughter so I had her check us out. There was no discount when my daughter checked out and they said there were no notes on the account. We had to argue with them to get the discount. These people are very shady. The employees are friendly but dishonest. They also advertise a shuttle to and from the hotel but they don't actually have one. I definitely DO NOT recommend this hotel.

Make sure you book online to get a better rate. Staff was wonderful. The room was decent. But I hear it was bought and may be torn down and Condos put in its place. Would I stay again....not sure. Reason being, it's an older hotel. I don't like elevators, especially there's. So I took the stairs. The elevators gave seen there better days. But the rooms were clean and nice size.

Horrible hotel. Every amenity that they advertise, they don't offer. You walk in to a beautiful large fish tank with dead fish floating in it. They might as well not have housekeeping..... and they choose not to let you know that you're right next to a strip club. This was great for my 5 year old son to see. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNWS ABOUT THIS NIGHTMARE PROPERTY

This is a glorified motel. The walls are thin and the rooms are run down. When I say run down, I'm being very generous. Our shower had hair on the side of the tub. The towel rack was broken off the wall. The tiles had been painted and the paint was peeling. The floors make your feet dirty when you're walking around your room. The elevators look as if they have not been mopped in years. The A/C was very strong and the pillows were decent. I would never come back to this motel.

The hotel is in need of renovation! We discovered that the owner is not making the needed upgrades because this property may be sold to developer. The best we can say is the room was clean. Web page indicated there was shuttle to airport. No shuttle available. Breakfast was more a snack. Do not recommend this hotel!

Although check in took a bit longer due to a mechanical issue with a washer, we got our room just in time to get ready for our Ed Sheeran concert, we had zero complaints about the room. It was nice and cold when we walked in and the beds aren’t bad. Maybe bigger pillows since they were just little squares but it wasn’t an issue. They were able to provide us with another blanket to use since I like to hog the blanket and my sister didn’t want to be cold all night. Overall no complaints here. Location to get to Raymond James stadium was quick and easy. Traffic wasn’t horrible. Again no complaints. Now the breakfast, we skipped and went to first watch because it was literally nothing at 715am. Some bagels and juice. Now there is a gentleman’s club literally next door, so if you’re against that don’t go. Overall great!

Absolutely horrible experience, first off the website lies about everything. It clearly says that they have cribs for little ones and the front desk tells they never carry them so my little ones had to sleep on the floor because the bed was too high for them. The guy at the front desk gave us faulty key cards twice and gave us a room with one bed when we got a room that had two beds. There was no extra linens in the room, no manager on duty to speak with. The place looks run down and not kept up. Also no free breakfast as it is advertised. I will never stay here again and if we wasn’t on the roads for 20 hours I would have found a different place and asked for a refund. Not worth $124 a night I can tell you that.not a kid friendly room I took a picture to prove that. Very disappointed I hope Ramada makes this right.

When reading other reviews, you really have to learn to sift out the genuine reviews from those who were just venting over little things, because the place wasn't "perfect" to their standards. I'm glad I went with my gut on this hotel and decided to give it a chance. I will start off by saying, that yes, the hotel is obviously an older hotel/construction, therefore (particularly the exterior), is not super updated or modern...all which can be seen in pictures online. Some reviews I read compared it to feeling like prison grounds...I wouldn't go that far...but I will say because they are open and many corridors, you should be aware of your surroundings at all times, as in any place, really...but generally, I felt safe. Some people zeroed in on all the little imperfections that come along with an older building, but while I was there, I saw staff taking care of the grounds...sweeping, washing floors, and picking up any garbage. There was plenty of parking while I was there, even when I got back to the hotel late sometimes (keep in mind, this was the beginning of May, so not very busy) and the parking lot was well lit. I stayed during weekdays and there was no security driving around, but I really didn't feel I needed it. I wasn't sure what to expect of the room, but I was mostly pleasantly surprised. I had a top floor, front-facing, 2 full-size beds room that had been updated. This is the first hotel I've stayed in with no carpeting (which hygienically speaking, is probably better)...other reviews complained that the floors were dirty, which could have been from their own shoes in and out of the room, but I never set my feet/socks on a bare hotel floor/carpeting anyway, just because you never know...they seemed fairly clean to me though. The beds were pretty comfortable and clean...I ALWAYS do an inspection for any bugs, etc. when I enter a room and there were no signs of any (this is HUGE, especially in a place like Florida)...my sheets were super fresh and I could smell that they'd been bleached and cleaned properly. The air conditioner was quiet and clean...I could see that the filters had been cleaned and that made the room feel fresh. There was an iron and board in the room, as well as a safe (mine did have a key to it), a decent-sized mini-fridge, and tv. There was no in-room microwave (second hotel I've stayed in like that), but there was one on each floor that was working and clean...only wish it was closer to my room. The bathroom was clean and modern...I had no issues with the sink, tub, or toilet...there were clean, fresh towels and when I needed more, I just went to the desk and asked, and I was given a whole other set with no issue. The only drawback to the rooms, I would say, is that because they face common outside corridors, you don't really feel like you can open the curtains much, even in the daytime for some daylight, because anyone could look in, but people usually aren't in the rooms much anyway during the day, so I guess that doesn't really matter too much. Overall, I was happy with my stay at this hotel and I would keep it as an option again. It's definitely not a resort, although some of the reviews apparently thought it was going to be or expected it to be (if they thoroughly researched it and read descriptions/reviews, they wouldn't have been surprised to find out that it's not), but if you're a business traveler just looking for a decent place to stay close to the airport or another type of traveler who isn't going to be spending a whole lot of time at the hotel anyway, this hotel should meet your basic needs. I will add that all the staff were very friendly/nice, helpful, and professional. Also, there was at one time an open restaurant on the grounds, but it is closed for remodeling or whatever the case (again, that information is online), but there are PLENTY of other food options in the area that are close and convenient to get to. I'd say, give this hotel a chance if you're looking for something reasonable, clean, and convenient, but nothing fancy or too crazy.

I was disappointed in our stay. The pool was not filled much. It was supposed to be 3.5 ft deep and it was maybe 1.5 feet. They have a store to buy snacks and drinks, however when it closed the vending machines did not work. When I called the front desk they said there was nothing they could do. So we had no way of getting water while we were here. The internet did not work well either. I stayed one night. I expected a decent room with working amenities that are promised, but was left disappointed when the basics did not work. I’ve heard good things about other Ramada hotels and have positive experiences in the past, however for the price of our room, I’d recommend you spend your money at a different hotel.

Probably the worst hotel I have stayed at. I travel a lot for work and I probably stay at 3 hotels a week and this one takes the cake. Very run down and obviously from everyone else’s comments they don’t care. The room was really bad as you can see in some pictures. The shower looked like it wasn’t even cleaned, dirty tub and wall and the shower curtain was yellow and moldy. I can go on and on but it’s not worth it. My recommendation is avoid this place if you can, we came for a concert and they jacked the price up but it’s definitely a 50 dollar motel. I guess that what you get when you book a hotel next to a strip club. I can’t believe that the Wyndham will put their name on this place. Good luck if you pick it

The staff is amazing. I see them almost every week when I'm in town. They go above and beyond with getting me checked in and supplying me with what I need for my stay. The rooms could be cleaner. The floors tend to be dirty and I found a roach in my closet and a dead bug on my night stand. I don't mind grabbing a napkin and picking it up but this should have been inspected before the room was available. I had the executive room last time and all of my drawers remained open and couldn't close them as they would open again. When I got out of the shower the towel I laid down and scooted across the floor turned black. I will be bringing my slides moving forward. My tv was limited in the channels it offered and there was no TV guide. Luckily I had my laptop and tablet with me so entertaining myself while not working is not an issue and it's a perfect location since my office that is being built out is right across the street. I've see some rude people when checking in that were verbally abusive with the manager and while I did interject and asked the customer to cut the manager some slack I think they handled it professionally and with grace. If they paid a little more attention on keeping the room clean I would have given more stars. I'm generally a very clean person and use to making my bed and not leaving trash behind. My concern here is that if the bugs were there are my sheets and blanket getting changed out with my pillows after someone checks out?

This hotel is horrible. Our door didn't lock properly. Our shower was broken. Our bathroom door was broken. Our hair dryer electrocuted my daughter. The pool cut my foot because it's cracked and falling apart. They said there was breakfast, there wasn't. The fridge didn't keep things cold. I would give 0 stats if possible

DO NOT STAY HERE! All I can say is what a joke! This place is Horrible with a capital H!! I stayed here due to a class that was given here in the conference rooms. 1) The smell...just check out my pics! If you cant smell my pic, then come on over. 2) Lack of workers/lack of care... told upon arrival that no room cleaning would occur unless asked, and we "better call in the morning if we need anything from housekeeping". Huh?? Got to the room. 2 towels and 2 washcloths. No bath mat, no hand towels. It was after 3pm so no housekeeping. According to the check in person "we don't keep them up here". *sigh* 3) The room... what the actual... just look at my photos. My ONE positive is the bed is amazing! Very comfortable. If I could have gotten a top sheet (under the comforter) that would have been great, but don't get me started. The pillows...plan to use THREE to actually have one whole pillow. That mattress though is great. There is ZERO water pressure! Ladies with long hair, just go ahead and pack that dry shampoo! 4) The internet. Works good, but is OPEN. If you understand then you get what im saying. Be careful peeps! 5) There is NO breakfast and there is NO bar. Do not be fooled by pictures or promises! 5) The pool...ugh. Let's just say that my swimsuit is still clean and dry. No way! 6) Air conditioning... prepare to freeze OR sweat. There is no in between. 7) Lobby...if that's what you want to call it. The seating area outside the conference rooms. Be prepared to sit on a sofa and sit 4 inches off the floor. You literally FALL into them. Not sure how else to explain it. 8) The conference room. Water poured into our door during a rain storm and soaked the carpet at the front of the room. Coffee delivered to our class was cold and coffee grounds came out when pouring. Water and coffee was not replaced / trash emptied each morning without someone going to the front desk. No cleaning. None! AC cut off mid day. A total joke. The company renting the space is fed up. 9) JUST LOOK AT PICS FOR TRUTH! This is less that 1 star. Maybe 1/2 star cause the bed is great but that is all!! Stay somewhere else. This place is disgusting.

Last minute planning. To be honest. I thought I was back on a carrier. Navy ship that is. I kept waking up to the airplanes. From the room you can hear all the noise outside. Not complaining. That part is on me for booking there. Oh yeah there is a strip club next to the hotel. Saw it the next day. Waffle House close by. Food spot across the street very good, recommended by the hotel. BZ on them. Must say the facilities were sanitized, clean, staff was polite. No issues there. They do need to get some more luggage carts. Oh yeah they could put up some security cameras outside and some upgrades. Overall you get what you pay for.

We stayed here one night. The hotel is very run down, rooms are not clean and smelled musty, and if you read the fine print by check-in, it’s not a Ramada by Wyndham but rather operates by Westshore Hotel with some sort of license from Ramada. All in all do not recommend at all. Also for $200 for a double room, one expects A LOT more.

My room door was wide open ,when I came back after 4 hours. The hotel staff don’t care.Just a waste of time talking to them.. I’m very disappointed in Wyndham Reward for even having this on there website. This hotel website is misleading. The rooms and outside of the hotel is old. Outdated rooms, like you back in the 80’s .No Microwave in your room….It’s homeless people entering the building. No security at all. Please void this hotel for your safety.

For what we paid and it’s location it was nice enough. The rooms are in serious need of some TLC, laminate peeling off in the shower, bathroom door handled was loose, but that’s fine because the room overall was very clean. The beds were comfortable enough but the pillows were NOT comfortable and whatever the staff uses to clean severely set off my allergies.

  • 5/5 EmmaDan S. 5 months ago on Google
NO airport shuttle anymore, No restaurant. Just a vending machine in the facility, a gas station and a 24 hr subway down the street. You will be happy if you just want a place to rest for the early flights. Room is ok clean and quiet. Great value for what you pay for.

Booked this hotel for a football game and I was not Not entertainined. My translater app wasn't working but after 15 minutes we figured out the check in process. Take in the Majestic views. Your room will look as if time stood still as you review the seasoned TV channel placket. I was unable to locate the bar and grille but I do love a good mystery. I enjoyed the minimalist beds with no blankets. You really can't beat the color contrast of furniture. Props to the security team...who's going to break into a safe that doesn't have a lock! Mind blown. Talk about reverse psychology. I didn't use the shower only because I'm not up to date on my tetanus shot and that's on me. Compact dresser storage was ample for the discarded garments and few of my essentials. I appreciate a micro TV when I am on vacation because otherwise I would just relax. Speaking of TV...I believe I have gained some diversity being able to hear multiple TV broadcasts from adjacent rooms. And a humble thank you from my waistline for not having breakfast. Intermittent fasting!! Go Ramada!!!

It's a motel disguised as a hotel. Beds are well worn, mattresses need to be changed. Otherwise rooms were clean. No breakfast included. Reception started calling 30 minutes before checkout time, insisting I leave at 11. Elevators small and unreliable. Positive point is that it's close to airport.

Very outdated, dirty hotel. Drain in tub did not drain, faucet fixture on tub was broken so could only shower, bed skirt and comforter was dirty. Ice machine was broke. No towels for pool. All garbages outside of room were always full. Fridge did not chill very well. In need of complete remodel. They advertise a restaurant connected to their building and it’s closed. On internet they post a picture of a beautiful room. False advertising.

  • 2/5 Arthur B. 6 months ago on Google
They advertise shuttle service to TAMPA AIRPORT and they told me they don't when I checked in they told me to take an UBER. Also I booked a handicap accessible room and it wasn't just a handrail in the shower. When I asked if they could bring my luggage down to the lobby they said call the lobby and maybe the security guard might do it. I'm a paraplegic and confined in a wheelchair. The only plus was a clean updated room.

Loved my stay here. The people that work at this location are absolutely amazing!! Honestly the only thing the owners need to do is update the furniture in the rooms. The mattress and pillows are to die for. So comfortable 😊

Staff was nice but do not trust the pictures. Notice that the picture of the outside of the hotel is blurred. Requested refund as soon as we checked in. Very old hotel. The microwave on each floor is outside. The picture on the website had a King bed and sofa but there was no sofa in the room. Also, the bed had decorated size pillows. Looks like an “after hours” or “hourly” motel. Ended up getting a room at nice nearby hotel for the same rate.

Room was clean and tidy. However the power points alongside the bed were iffy to power up phone. Sockets were loose when plugs were inserted. Also when signing in, I had difficulty in understanding the very strong accents. When I asked for reciept was abruptly told I could only get it through Priceline who I had booked the room with.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. DO NOT stay here. Absolutely horrible experience. Our door lock battery died when we got back to the hotel at 12am and the front desk man tried to help but didn’t do much. He had to BREAK INTO OUR WINDOW to get the door open. He then told us he’ll get us another room. When we got the new room, the door also did not open. So we went back down and he said there are no more rooms. He said a manager would be there in the morning to deal with a refund; there was no manager in the morning… We canceled and had to find a hotel at 2am. When we came back to the Ramada in the morning to talk to a manager, the staff was so rude and kept interrupting us when we were telling them our problems. Odalis kept raising her voice at us and telling us to just call a bunch of people to deal with it. Just absolutely horrible.

  • 2/5 Heather H. 11 months ago on Google
The price is low, but the rooms were small, the staff didn’t give us room service when we requested it, and I saw two roaches in our room. We booked a double queen room but the beds were actually full sized beds not queens which made it hard to sleep in with two people. When you walk into the lobby you can smell cigarette smoke. It’s not the worst hotel I’ve seen, but it’s far from the best.

For the price I thought the rooms would be a lot nicer but it's actually pretty ran down. The lobby is nice but the restaurant attached wasn't open due to renovations so that was kind of a bummer. They also still have my $50 on hold 3 weeks later which I'm not happy about. They do have coin laundry which was nice & the complimentary breakfast was nice as well. Overall a fun stay.

My interactions with Ray are five stars Ray was wonderful! After some failed attempts I couldn’t get into the room I was assigned, went back and Ray helped me switch into a new room. He seemed to be the only one around which was disappointing for such a large hotel and so many guests checking in. Again, Ray was great! Beds are comfy, and room was clean. There were a few holes in the wall, and the bathroom seemed to have seen better days. Overall the staff was great, the building underwhelming

The room was clean the bed was comfortable. The pool was great though I wish it was open a little bit later than 830. Breakfast options were good check in and check out was a breeze. I would definitely stay again!

Don't judge it from the outside. It's a nice hotel. Was very comfortable. Bed was comfortable and the ac work. No bad smells. The only thing is was close for some reason. But there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely return..

Desk staff and house keeping were very polite. The rooms and stay were okay, but the floors need to be cleaned daily or at least every two days. I took my socks off and walked around the room for a few hours and my feet were black as hell. Overall a nice stay and centralized location for shopping.

Great hotel so far. Right after the hurricane, it was hard to find hotels for work. This place is inviting and white large. The layout is pretty simple and the folks working there and the hertz rental car that is attached are kind as well. Plenty of convenient stores and "entertainment" nearby along with some popular restaurants. Definite win to stay here!

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be let down. We knew the flight was long so staying near the airport was the best choice. We arrived very tired, not much energy and just wanted a good bed, clean room, and close to restaurants for dinner. We're glad we chose this place to stay. We walked in, friendly reception staff, quick checking, and bonus: suggestions of best places to dine. Perfect experience, price and exactly what we wanted. Thank you to all the friendly faces who assisted us.

Had a great experience! Super quiet, relaxing, and the room was great. It even came with a kitchenette which was really awesome! Stephanie was really helpful, kind, and professional at the front desk. Made our front experience quick and smooth. Really great place for the prices. Thanks a lot.
