I seriously cannot put into words how PERFECT our wedding was thanks to the entire Epicurean staff, and of course Fatima from their events team. WOW…. Our wedding was truly a fairytale. From booking, to constant communication and flexibility, Fatima made it so easy to bring my vision to life. As a bride AND the wedding planner, it can be easy to get stressed during the planning process, but Fatima was patient and extremely accommodating, I trusted she would execute everything flawlessly- which she and her team did. We booked a suite for the weekend festivities and from the second we stepped onto the property, we were greeted and assisted to our rooms by their entire valet and front desk staff. We felt SO comfortable calling and requesting anything we needed and the staff literally met every need. It was truly such an incredible experience, and we highly recommend the Epicurean for any stay, event or wedding. THANK YOU!

Good value and a great stay in South Tampa! Stayed for a short anniversary stay in a 1BR suite. The room was large and had a great balcony overlooking South Howard. There are many doors between the bedroom and the hallway, so the hotel itself is quiet, although there’s a bit of noise from the street outside. The room has a large kitchenette and full size fridge/freezer with generous minibar selections. The service is where the Epicurean really shines. It’s friendly and genuine. We were greeted warmly and offered a glass of wine, and when they asked the occasion for our visit, offered a complimentary bottle. And unbeknownst to me, the staff had noticed an upcoming birthday and left a small bottle of champagne and a hand written card in our room when we walked in. What a nice surprise! The valet was quick and very courteous, the restaurant staff was really great for breakfast in the morning (and the restaurant itself is excellent - way above any ordinary hotel restaurant). With such a short stay, we didn’t use the pool or spa of gym, but we would definitely come back again. This little gem of a hotel is very much worth a stay when you’re in Tampa!

Overall, there were pros and cons to my stay. The hotel is nicely decorated and the staff genuinely care about providing a good experience. The glass of wine at check in was a nice touch. The lighting in the bathroom is great for makeup. There were a few disappointments though. The rooms are not well soundproofed so you can hear your neighbors and outside quite easily. They seem to have a lot of events here on the terrace. On a Friday night, they had a huge party that went on for hours and it wasn’t possible to enjoy the room because it was like the party was in the room. I mentioned it to the front desk and they moved me to a different room on the other side of the building the next day because they were having another event Saturday night which I appreciated. Unfortunately though, the room they moved me to felt dingier than my original room which was a disappointment. It was missing some of the things like shelves and decorative pillows my original room had, pictures on the wall were crooked and the base of the bed had something weird going on. The views aren’t anything to write home about, my first view was the roof of an event tent and my second room had tiny slit windows that looked out at a construction project. The TVs aren’t able to stream digital shows. I appreciate that they have water and towels in the fitness room. If you’re a runner, I found one treadmill to be quite shaky and another to make a high-pitched noise which meant there was really only one good treadmill to use.

I've been traveling to Tampa for business for the past decade, and I always stay at the Epicurean. The service is unfailingly outstanding, in keeping with Marriott's Autograph Collection properties. Given the hotel's relationship with Bern's Steakhouse, the food is always quite good. The rooms are spacious and quiet. There's a rooftop bar that, frankly, I wish was open more often than it is. When it's not, there's always the lobby bar. While the hotel feels isolated among freeways, Hyde Park shops and restaurants are a fifteen minute walk.

We have stayed at this Hotel a number of times and are never disappointed. The service is fantastic and the staff super friendly, glass of wine on arrival, (Katie) is great. Room service super fast. The rooms are very well appointed and its in a nice historic community with lots of restaurants around. Speaking of restaurants, the restaurant at the hotel is fantastic and they have great cocktails. Kerry the manager is a wonderful person and makes sure the guests are happy. It is on our top list of Autograph properties.

We loved being right across the street from Bern's Steak House. The room was expensive and you could hear people in the hallway and the bottom of the room door did not block the hallway lights. We expected more for a high priced hotel. Will not go back.

Booked a suite for my wife last week for a business trip thinking it’s a quality luxury hotel. The suite was disgusting, not cleaned, and there were bugs. The front staff was rude when we asked them to clean and vacuum the room. You’d think they’d take the opportunity to clean the room and make everything ok. But they didn’t. And they continued to be rude and condescending. Absolutely 0 stars. A la Quinta inn would be better. Asked them to have the GM contact us but nothing.

For $500/night I expected a lot more. The hotel was nice but not as nice as a W or Ritz. The thermostat in the room would only go down to 67 and it felt like 75. It was impossible to sleep. We asked to have the ac checked but it made zero difference and they refused to lower the min temp on our thermostat. I had previously stayed at another hotel where engineering reset the thermostat to 60 so I know it’s technically possible. The hotel gave us a $100 credit per night but considering the only thing we got the room for was to sleep and we couldn’t do that because of the heat, it wasn’t much consolation. They did provide a box fan which helped but was very loud.

From the time you enter property till you leave. Everything is excellent. Staff are fantastic, the rooms are large and welcoming. The food is just as good. There's a lot of restaurants in walking distance as well as various attractions. The only complaint was the service on the roof top bar. I think the staff was just having a bad night though.

This hotel is phenomenal. The staff is beyond accommodating and so well informed about all events going on. My client hosted a 3-day event in the Kitchen Theatre and it could not have been better. They provided all kitchen equipment needs, cleaned up after events, and ensured we had everything we needed to have a successful event. When it came to the front desk staff, they were brilliant. Billing was flawless for over 10 room reservations that were extremely specific, dropped off goody bags for our guests before they arrive, and answered any and all questions I had for them (which was a lot). There is nothing better than being greeted by name after meeting someone one time and their staff is so on top of it. Thank you to the entire staff but especially Kate, Morgan, Michelle, Collin, Kelsey, Christine, Jennifer, Ivanka, Luisa, Jade, and Donald. You all made myself and my team feel so stress-free and confident about our event. Highly recommend staying here for all event types.

Not a fan. Second time I’ve stayed here and I wanted to give it a try, but it’s just not a great place to stay the e night. Excellent location - easy to get to lots of great places nearby. Rooms are small, bathroom layout is weird and not a fit for 2 people. East facing room - sunrise is right in your eye. Blackout shades aren’t the right size so light comes in the bottom no matter what you do - right in line with the bed. Nice wake up call though. I’m a Marriott frequent and used points for this one - wish I hadn’t. Mobile app check in said I was checked in - offered mobile key option but the key never showed. When I arrived they had me check in all over again - ID, credit card, sign, deposit - what’s the point of the Marriott Bonvoy app? Lumpy bed. Warm hallway - borderline hot. Downstairs restaurant opens at 10am, so no breakfast for anyone being greeted by the in-room sunrise. Skip it if you can.

I’ve fortunate to have been going to the Epicurean since they opened! I’ve been there for countless happy hours, Crush Hours, wine dinners, Thanksgiving Dinners, rooftop bar, and more. Always a great place to visit. Super clean, friendly service and top quality food. I’m so happy to see Chef Jon A return as Head Chef. They had someone for a short spell and the food was not as good (that $20 griddle burger…ugh…). Plus, walking distance to Bern’s and Haven

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. They compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I've been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure won't regret it. Worth the cost, wonderful food and drink. Great rooftop bar! In a marvelous walking area with many many great food options s and bars. Walkable to the bay. Worked with event staff to put on a cocktail evening with hosted bar and heavy apps and their service was extremely attentive with great food. The restaurant was great as well.

Just celebrated my wedding and we stayed in the Junior Suite for the weekend. Such an awesome space, with a cute kitchen/living room and huge bathroom! I also ate at the restaurant downstairs and enjoyed everything. I have to say, the best part has been the customer service. Everyone made us feel so special from booking (over the phone) until our last day. Special shoutout to Kelsey, Morgan, Kate the Great, Collin, and Ashton. We're looking forward to coming back again next year for our anniversary!

Stayed at the Epicurean Hotel for my nieces wedding last weekend. Staff was excellent. Upon check-in we were offered a free glass of wine (nice touch) and we gladly accepted. Room was nicely decorated and spacious. The bar/restaurant downstairs was a fun place to meet the wedding party and guests. Food was EXCELLENT! They had a happy hour menu and we chose the cheeseburger with fries, the Brussels sprouts (excellent) the sweet potatoes that had feta, honey and some kind of drizzle, which was the best I ever had. The smashed potatoes were so-so. $$$

This definitely a fun place! And customer service was outstanding! I love all the artwork and it was definitely close to downtown and everything that you would want, across the street from Burns steakhouse, they gave us a complimentary bottle of whatever we wanted because it was my birthday which was super nice and complimentary glass of wine when we walked in if we wanted that the bar in the room was fully staffed and equipped and it was great I can't say enough we only had one shower towel but they corrected that, the place looks a little bit old in the rooms there was some watermarks on the ceiling and the shower wasn't looking super new and clean and there was no door between the toilet and the bathroom and only one sink in our room so that was annoying but I guess we could have upgraded? The staff was just so nice I love the artwork, valet was amazing, it was a great day I would definitely stay there again and again and again I love that they had the wine area attached and again everyone was just super friendly I don't know what I'll say about this place I think that we could have explored it more and I didn't so maybe next time, I would like to try the spot and I would like to experience the food two things which we didn't. I also think it's a great value I think that the rooms are priced well and I can't wait to go back!

The hotel was really cool. Great atmosphere. Nice bar and restaurant. Very cool area of Hyde Park. Unfortunately, the hotel sits immediately adjacent to a freeway. If you get a room on that side, you will need a worthy sound machine to drown out the noise of the highway.

All I can say is WOW! Huge shout out to the following people for making our stay incredible. Morgan Kate Michelle Melody & Cara (in the restaurant) They truly went above and beyond, making us feel comfortable and at home. This staff made our stay incredible. They helped us secure memorable dining experiences and truly enjoy our time in town. We will definitely be staying here any time we are in the Tampa area.

Nice autobiography hotel in Tampa. I booked the room with balcony for extra, but the room is facing the parking structure and some green plants covering between. When opened the door to the common balcony area, it was noisy with high way traffics. So I was disappointed. Elite breakfast option here does not cover any coffee or juice, just one choice entree. In my opinion coffee should be covered a part of option. Another issues is parking. You cannot call.ahead to pull the car and you need to wait in line outside. Overall my stay was just fair to not so good.

I loved my stay here. From the moment you check in, you are welcomed by any staff members you come across. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and spacious. I would usually like to have a microwave in the room just for convenience, but not necessary at this hotel since there is a restaurant at the hotel (didn't get to visit) and many other restaurants within walking distance. I will definitely visit again.

We stayed at the Epicurean after our wedding that was down the street. It was absolutely lovely! We had a large corner room with a rainfall shower head! The staff were so nice in that they brought us a bottle of champagne and a fancy charcuterie board as a gift! All the staff we interacted with were kind as can be. I loved the glass of wine on check in! I would definitely recommend this hotel! The area surrounding it is also so walkable, with Blind Tiger and other local eats within walking distance.

Room was good. Atmosphere was so peaceful. Service was excellent. Restaurant was sooo good, not your average hotel food. Definitely will be back whenever I go to Tampa. Restaurant manger, Kerri, was super sweet and accommodating. Scott was amazing as well. Myron in valet was amazing too!

  • 5/5 Sandy M. 8 months ago on Google
The service was superb immediately upon entry from the valet and then with the staff upon check-in. Then it became even better to see the cleanliness of the room and amenities. However, our stay became even better when we met Rey Aguilar the F&B Manager at Elevage at Epicurean and his professional service, kindness, and thoughtfulness. Overall, this was an amazing hotel that is walkable, proximity to city limits, and a great getaway for in-town and out of town guests. Our stay was for a in-town birthday and I must say we’ll be back to stay and also to visit Rey at Elevage for a cocktail and dining.

I love this hotel. It’s in a good spot and walking distance to a lot of restaurants, if you decide not to eat at the hotel. There’s a full restaurant on the first floor and a roof top bar. They have a pool and everything in between. They also have charging stations for your EV.

Perfect boutique hotel. Valet attendants were wonderful, front desk staff were welcoming, kind and accommodating. We ate dinner at their restaurant, E'levage. Every dish was perfect, and our server Sean was awesome! Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Epicurean Hotel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience, largely due to the outstanding service provided by the front desk staff, particularly a wonderful woman named Rivi. From the moment my friend and I walked through the doors, Rivi's warm and welcoming demeanor immediately made us feel at home. It was my friend's birthday, and Rivi went above and beyond to ensure it was a memorable one. She surprised us with a bottle of wine to celebrate the occasion, which was a thoughtful and unexpected gesture that truly touched our hearts. Throughout our stay, we had multiple interactions with Rivi, and every encounter was absolutely perfect. She was not only professional and efficient but also genuinely cared about our comfort and satisfaction. Her knowledge of the hotel and the local area was impressive, and she provided us with valuable recommendations that enriched our stay. She was also hot.

Beautiful hotel in Tampa. The front desk staff were very welcoming and offered us a welcome drink on arrival which was really appreciated after a long day travelling. The rooms were clean and spacious with a large bathroom. I ate in the hotel for breakfast which was delicious. Lots of options to choose from. I used the gym and pool each day and the fresh water, towels and headsets were a lovely touch.

My company booked us rooms at this spectacular autograph collection hotel to come together from across the country for meetings. All I can say is if you enjoy a wonderful hotel with a fine food and wine theme… This is the place for you! Location is fantastic and the service was great also. Special thanks to Front desk manager Ashton, Teesha in housekeeping and the night Manager, Michael. Would definitely like to stay again in the future..

Attractive hotel in a great location. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin, so noise from neighbors, the hallway, and the highway outside will keep you up all night. The level of noise is unacceptable in any hotel, let alone for the rates charged by Epicurean. Edit: The manager was nice enough to move us to their newer building across the street for the second night of our stay, which was perfectly quiet.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Epicurean Hotel. The location was perfect, is was across the street from Bern's. The check in staff really made us feel welcome, and welcomed us with a glass of wine. Please make sure to check out the wine shop! The hotel's gastronomic theme was exceptional. We'll be back real soon!

So many little details added up to an amazing stay. From the complimentary glass of wine at check-in to the well-stocked mini-bar complete with snacks and great wines in the room. The beautiful art mural outside the window was nice! The shower was great, regular & a rain showerhead. The concierge was attentive, and Valet was fast and accommodating. Fabulous stay!

The Sweet - Gracious lobby staff, well-appointed public areas and rooms. Terrific shower and nice room size. Wonderful mini-bar - thanks for that... we need to start seeing these again. Good food - served promptly and creatively. The glass of wine right at front reception and check-in is classy and welcoming. The Sour - bartenders could be friendlier and there is nothing more welcoming than a SMILE. ANYTHING outside - meeting areas, patios, pools. This hotel is butted up against a major freeway and the road noise is stifling. Our business group tried to meet outside and the noise was prohibitive. Also at the pool it's impossible to ignore the noise from the cars and trucks speeding by. For this very reason would not go out of my way to return.

Very nice stay for a wedding. Well situated in SoHo (South Howard) which boasts some great restaurants and bars. The staff is very friendly. The focus is on wine and food. The wine shop in the hotel is fantastic. The valet parking is easy and reasonably priced. The rooms were well appointed Ted and clean. Best hotel shower ever! The pool was small but nice. Great walking on Bayshore Drive. No complaints. Oh, directly across the street from Bern’s Steakhouse!!! Don’t miss!

This is a very nice well maintained hotel. They have valet parking, rooftop pool, rooftop bar, restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a bar lounge area. There is some construction in the area but it was the weekend so I was not disturbed. The front desk staff was very friendly and courteous and greeted you with a glass of wine (Kate). Special thanks to Jade for the room change once she became aware it was a special occasion. They are within walking distance to Berns Steakhouse. Ask them about the stake -cation package if you call directly. We had a wonderful time at this hotel.

My dining experience was phenomenal! I went for appetizers after a work event with my girlfriends and the staff was beyond welcoming and accommodating for our walk-in! I know this place is busy all the time so they were so amazing to welcome us walking in😌🙏🏻 Tasha at the host stand for the restaurant was so kind and helpful, checking in on us throughout the afternoon while she was working back and forth. Thank you all staff for the wonderful and superb hospitality and experience! Until next time 🍽️😋

Had a stay here over the weekend for my birthday. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was beautiful and clean. Elevage breakfast was EXCELLENT. We also rode complimentary bikes which was so lovely. The location of the hotel is extremely close to everything you’d want to do! Shopping, dining, ECT. My only complaint is the pool was disappointing. It was very small and crowded not enough chairs for everyone and it was extremely dirty. Would definitely recommend a stay here & would come back in the future!

Wow! Unfortunately we only had a 10 hour stay. What a treat! The staff gives you a glass of wine when you check in. I've never seen such well thought out decor. My eyes were bugging out. We left at 4am and the entire staff was out chatting with us, bringing us coffee and the kids juice. The pool and multi level terraces were gorgeous. We are considering a trip back JUST to experience this place again and the restaurant. Wow! Wow! Amazing.

We celebrated my husband’s 40th birthday at The Edge Rooftop Bar. Drinks were excellent and the vibe was very chill. Although, the night took a turn when my husband’s birthday gifts were swooped up without even a notice. According to the staff, manning the upstairs bar, “the gifts had been unattended for some time.” And a “Good Samaritan” happened to bring it to her attention. Instead of the staff member and the “Good Samaritan” asking our guest, who happened to be standing at the table, if the gifts belong to anyone. They were just swept away! A BIG THANK YOU to Raymond and Michael, the night managers of the Epicurean Hotel, for seeing about us after my husband’s gifts were misplaced. Their attention to the matter was quick and reassuring! They helped make the rest of our night memorable. We can’t thank you enough for taking care of us. We certainly appreciate it!!!

I've been a few times for events I have seen on social media. I love to eat at their casual fine dining restaurant, Elevage. Of course, the hotel has many beautiful suites for your stay. They bring in specialists, vendors and chefs to cover a wide range of foods, beverages and topics. There are cooking classes, an elegant, attractive and charming restaurant. There is a wine store that houses a selection of bottles from Bern's cellars. You can expect valet parking when you arrive and both the bar and pool are fun places to spend time relaxing and unwinding. Definitely worth the visit.

Wonderful place to stay and the food at the restaurant was amazing. We had a great event where did dinner and then we had a yummy brunch for Mother’s Day. We did not have a bad meal and service was amazing. We enjoyed it so much we had the same waiter Jorge each time. The espresso martini is one of the best I’ve had in the Tampa area. I Highly recommend staying here. You can’t beach the location and you have easy access to Bayshore and the water.

I was very impressed by this property. We were part of a wedding that took place at the facility. The facility was clean, the staff very friendly and the room was outstanding. However, I was extremely disappointed with the front desk…..night shift staff. We had taken over a room from a wedding party member who could not travel at the last minute. Therefore there was some confusion as to who was paying. Turns out my daughter was taking care of the room for us…..and she could not be there when we checked in. My card could not handle the entire deposit for the room (about $800). It was agreed that my daughter would switch the room and the card over to her name. However, when she arrived for the service, she did not have time to take care of the issue since the ceremony was starting. When we tried to enter the room following the ceremony, we found ourselves locked out of our room. I responded to the front desk and after being told the reason why we were deprived entry, called my daughter down to the front desk. My daughter, who is the hospitality business, could not believe that after the wedding party spent thousands of dollars at the venue, they would do something like this……over a $299 deposit. This is the only negative thing about the property.
