Flavorless at best. We had it delivered, not during rush hour - we are less than a mile away. Pizza arrive almost stone cold. Now I love a good crust- and a coal fire is best! Well not this place!! The pizza, you had to cut with a knife and fork. The crust was awful. Just awful. And I’ve eaten a lot of pizza from hole in the wall places to fancy sit down. This $ 40plus pizza was NOT worth the money at all don’t waste your time or money.

Not bad. Food was ok. Service was ok. Tried to report an pending issue but it was so busy that no one seemed to want to handle it, so if it became a bigger issue, it's in their hands. Good location

I haven’t been back since covid of last year. Just went here twice in one week. I love their thin pizza. Very hot, crunchy and full of flavor. Service is always mediocre. I only live 5 minutes away. I Come here at least once a month before covid. Glad everything is almost back to the norm now and the staff still wearing mask👍👍, which is great. Will return soon.

Overall what a nice spot to grab a bite to eat before you go to the airport. I was really impressed by the quality of the pizza and the customer service I encountered while I was at the establishment. I will have to go back and customize another pizza because my wife and I demolished a 16 inch pizza because it was so good. Will be back for seconds, thanks for a good experience.

Extremely mediocre. I was on a business trip and wanted to try a local pizza place, this place had pretty good reviews so I tried it. Ordered arugula prosciutto pizza and calzone. The pizza was on the dry side, all I could taste was the excessive salt from the cheap prosciutto, the calzone was simply awful, barely any mozarella and only dried ricotta, flavorless, mushy, and dry. Probably the worst calzone I have ever had. Absolutely no flavor. They forgot the utensils so I had to eat the calzone with my hands, but at that point the night just ended badly. Real NY Pizza always comes out moist, doughy, and full of flavor. Everything I had tonight was the opposite. If all this was $25, I would have given 2-stars, but the total plus delivery was $60! What a shame, I really wanted this place to be good.

We ordered from Uber eats for delivery and received pizza with very little toppings at all. we ordered 4 extra toppings on this pizza and just slight slivers of them are added. When you order delivery it’s not like you can just tell the waitress to have them add more; you’re just stuck with what you get!

NY Style in Florida. Pizza is good stuff. But, Grimaldi's is what it's all about. The Doms. Is everything you want in a Pizza. Get it and be glad you did. Oh, BTW, it's difficult to find great personal service, but, Here they were attentive and knew that were offering best in class stuff. Highly rated.

TRUE NY STYLE PIZZA! I’ve been to the original location and I’ve also been to Juliana’s, their next door rival in Dumbo. This is the closest thing you’ll get to authentic NY/Brooklyn style pizza here in the Bay Area. Had my first bite in the car, right out of the box. It’s got the thin crispy crust topped with fresh mozz, and tasty high quality ingredients. Love the light char from the coal oven. It’s on the pricier side but it’s worth it for a date night or a once-in-a-while occasion. Will be back!

Always a great spot for pizza! We love the atmosphere...very intimate, rustic NYC feel with wine bottle lighting. Service is always excellent and the pizza is fantastic. highly recommend the "Don" if you like a meat lovers type pizza. Add fresh basil after cooking and it takes to another level! They have seasonal cheesecakes that are different from what you will get at any other pizza place. We've had pumpkin, red velvet, carmel apple and they are all great!

First time back in four years and we were very disappointed. I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about as our food was nothing like what they described. Let me first say that we go out A LOT and don't mind paying high prices for food, material things, or experiences, but what you get has to be worth the extra cost. Similarly, when I pay fast food prices, I don't expect Michelin-quality food. In other words, my expectations are in line with a sane person. My wife and I went to Grimaldi's at West Shore Mall for dinner tonight. Ordered a 12" gluten-free pizza with chicken and a 16" traditional with bacon. Both were paper thin, extremely dry, hard and lacking in taste. There were barely any sauce or cheese. The 12" gf pizza ended up costing $24, which didn't sit well with me since what we got wouldn't compare to something we can get from a dive strip mall take-out pizza joint. I had a beer, she had a glass of house red, and we shared a small (tiny rather) salad. The total bill with tip came to almost $100. Not that that is an outrageous price for dinner, but for what we got, it was indeed an outrage. The atmosphere was decent, but that's not nearly enough to get us back there. There are too many good places in TB for us to waste our time and money ever again at this place.

Sadly not what it used to be. Service has been a challenge since COVID. I went there recently on a Saturday afternoon and was told they wouldn’t be serving a pizza for two hours because they were stoking the oven…huh??? So you do maintenance things during open weekend hours? I could come in for a salad and a beer but nothing out of the oven while you’re open? I have eaten here for a while and “midday stoking” has never been a thing so I’m sure this is a cover for closing due to staff shortage during lesser hours. If so just close the place. Don’t give a ridiculous excuse during open hours. Just disappointing. The pizza is great but if they make arbitrary decisions that inconvenience their customers I can’t imagine it’s going in the right direction. Too bad too because the pizza is amazing but things seem off and closing the kitchen in the middle of open hours is beyond ridiculous.

Awesome place. Just by the traffic of patrons you can tell this place is good alone. Had the pizza, had to make myself stop eating. Very good, fresh, huge, good price too.

I first started going to Grimaldi's when they had their location down the street from me at Citrus Park mall. Sadly the location was closed some year's ago, but thankfully the Westshore location is still up and running. My personal favorite is the traditional pie with extra spinach added and baked well done. Last night however was the first time I tried the peach flavored Italian soda, it was excellent! The salads are always great here as well 🍕🥗 Ask for Tyler because he's super professional and very knowledgeable. Best wishes, Chand 😎

Grimaldi's truly captures the essence of New York-style brick oven pizza. The crust achieves that perfect balance – thin and crisp yet with a satisfying chew. The brick oven imparts a delightful smokiness to the pizza, enhancing the flavors of the quality ingredients. The classic Margherita is a standout, featuring fresh mozzarella and vibrant tomato sauce. The ambiance adds to the experience, making Grimaldi's a must-visit for pizza enthusiasts in Tampa.

I know this isn't Brooklyn, but good lord is this pie fantastic! I was a kid in the late 70's when we would travel to NYC and see my mom's family who lived in Brooklyn and Queens. I didn't know how good I had it! Got the Don. Incredible. Staff was friendly and I enjoyed talking food with them. Armando is solid behind the bar!

If you like traditional Italian pizza this is your spot! We visited here to compare it to our hometown Chicago Style Pizza! It was different, but in the very best way. We went with the an '18 inch cheese pizza. We paired it with a Ceasar salad Rum punch and Sangria! Dessert was a trio of Tiramisu, oreo cheese cake, and chocolate canoli! Yum! Our waitress was delightful and the portion sizes were very large we had left overs for a few days!

This is just a first class Italian style pizza parlor. Excellent pizzas, friendly courteous staff and a warm cozy atmosphere. We make Grimaldi’s our go to restaurant when we’re in Tampa and someone wants pizza. I definitely recommend!!

The best pizza place. Amazing pizzas and even better customer service! Worth it every time. We messed up our own order believing the toppings would be different than what they were/came out as and they made us two more new pizzas no extra cost or problem, thank you!!

I’d say this is some of the best pizza in Tampa, when you dine in. Never and I repeat, NEVER order this pizza to go or from Uber eats and expect the same taste. I’ve ordered it on 3 separate occasions just wanting a good pie and every time I’ve gotten cold pizza by the time it arrived. Wait staff could be better I’ve seen them spill a lot of things. One time a waiter spilled an entire glass of coke into a ladies purse next to us.

Always a great time when I come here. The pizza 🍕 is amazing, it feel like if I'm back home in Brooklyn.

I love pizza, I really do. I was born and raised on some of the best, albeit a different style than most are hip to. I've taken vacations based on pizza destinations like New Haven, CT. This was not expected from a chain let alone one in a mall in Florida. Casual but upscale dining room, pleasant staff and some nice drinks. We went for the large pepperoni, traditional. Excellent undercarriage, beautiful blisters from the coal fired oven, premium cheeses and a delicious san marzano sauce. I was not expecting how good this was, solid NY slices, no limping impersonation here. Shout out to our server Melissa for taking great care of us.

Pizza was delicious. Service was friendly with a smile, ambience was very nice. I usually don't give 5 stars. This place is very nice to eat at in every category for pizza.

Cool spot to try for lunch, yummy Coal brick oven pizza. We ordered the margherita pizza, crust was crunchy and pizza was flavorful.

Very good pizza. I'm from Chicago and must admit they make a mean pie. Not super think but a good thin crust pizza. Sauce is good and all fresh ingredients. Not far from house and kicking myself for not trying sooner. Will be back for sure!

I ordered a margherita Pizza with extra cheese and sausage. When I received the pizza I was shocked at how little cheese was on it. I asked the server if this was with extra cheese and he said yes. He said I should order the white pizza to get more cheese but did remove the cost for extra cheese. The pizza was delicious but not sure what it takes to get a pizza with a lot of cheese

Decent, but not great. Pretty disappointed overall. A medium pizza with 2 toppings cost me $26 (before tip) and was so greasy that the toppings and cheese were sliding off of it. I’ve had worse, but this definitely did not meet expectations after seeing so many positive reviews. The worst part by far was the experience. There were fruit flies absolutely everywhere to the point it was distracting - and I was fending them off my food, which is pretty gross. Then there’s the employees. Ugh. Sure, it was around 5:30 on a random Weds but STILL. The staff should be downright embarrassed about the conversations being had. Management - this is a case where you are actually overstaffed. There were no less than 3 employees standing around chit chatting at the front of the restaurant at any given time. Being that I was by myself, I sat at the bar, which I believe was a mistake. I’m not one to get easily offended but the conversations were ridiculous and very loud, ranging from Chic-fil-A ownership to religion! I mean... really?!! I don’t want to go out to eat to listen to some kids rant about Christianity, and I honestly can’t believe this kind of high volume conversation is tolerated when employees are supposed to be working. With just a handful of guests and so many people working, the experience should have been top notch! All that to say, I’ll stick to Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza.

We ordered two pizzas we waited about an hour for our first pizza. We watched other people come in after us and get their pizzas before us. When our first pizza finally arrived it was perfect. The second pizza was bad they made another which wasn’t much better. They did not charge us for the second pizza but all in all not a great birthday dinner.

Pretty decent except I ordered the traditional pizza (and added Prosciutto) and that piece of basil is the only piece I got on the entire pizza :( it was also super cold and I picked it up at the exact time it was promised to be ready. I feel like it could have been a better experience dining in maybe. Restaurant is very pretty.
