I left this restaurant as a different woman. The service was excellent. The cake was delicious. The salad was delicious. The garlic knots were delicious. The water was fantastic. This location is fantastic.

I’ve gone here dozens of times as I live nearby. The staff is friendly. Their food is consistent. I love Cuban food and they do a good job. If you consider the food industry to be a high turnover industry this is NOT the case here at GioS.. Am I three years living in Tampa the vast majority of their staff has remain unchanged. And it’s allowed me the ability to develop a relationship with them as a customer who visits frequently

For a take out place this is really pricey. Plan on spending more than $20 for lunch. I would have never pay $5 for a tamale. Please do not get the palomilla, no flavor at ALL. Service is okay and food is out in a timely manner. No my first choice….

My husband and I were visiting Tampa for the Megadeth and Misfits concert, we are from Miami, we are Cubans, I always want a tostada con cafe con leche breakfast and it’s non negotiable, so we looked to see which Cuban cafes we had near by and ran across Gio’s. When we got there I instantly was craving a pan con bistec, and if you’re Cuban you know pan con bistec has the Juliana fries, the potato sticks. When I got my pan con bistec it had no potato sticks so I asked, and the lady said we don’t have that here. Nothing is honestly “Cuban” authentic in the place, the bistec didn’t even have the Mojo flavor it’s supposed to have. SO DISCLAIMER IF YOURE LOOKING FOR AUTHENTIC CUBAN FOOD, this is not the place. And 100% of the crowd that goes in there aren’t Cuban, and not one of the workers was Cuban either.

This is a hometown (Tampa) type place serving traditional cuban dishes in a cafeteria line style restaurant. Typical meals include Boliche, Picadillo, Milanesa Steak, and Cuban sandwiches. They also serve breakfast on weekends at the South Tampa location only. We had the breakfast cuban which is served with 3-egg omelette, and your choice of meat and cheese, pressed perfectly on authentic Cuban bread. It's a crowded lunch spot, so if you go allow a little extra time.

We went here based on reviews and ended up getting completely ripped off. We ordered four plates, three sodas, and a coffee and got charged over $80. The food was fine but several things on our order got messed up and we ended up with chicken instead of milanesa and a side of salad instead of beans. Oh well, guess we'll try our luck tasting authentic Cuban food in Cuba next time. You paid $82.60 USD to GIO'S CUBAN CAFE Thanks for using your PayPal business debit card ending in 6922 for the transaction below.

We found this place about 14 years ago. We couldn't remember the name or location of it. We found it again the other day. It didn't let us down. It was just as good and the serving sizes were just as big!!!!!

We tried this Cafe due to the really positive reviews. The Cuban breakfast sandwich and Cuban coffee was absolutely amazing! Customer service and atmosphere was friendly. If you’re looking for hot pressed breakfast sandwich and good coffee TRY Gios!

Local Cuban cafe in S Tampa. Cuban breakfast sandwich, containing 3 egg omelette, swiss, chorizo, awesome. Really good cafe con leche. Ready to roll today!

First time in, food & service were excellent. Had the Breakfasts #2 & #3, lunches looked great as well. Highly recommend.

First time at this restaurant. Coffee was good, scramble eggs with cheese were good. I was extremely disapointed with the cuban toast. I can honestly say that it was the worst I have ever eaten. Very small, extra toasted "burned" and too much butter.

Best cafe con leche and cuban toast. little pricey but isn't everywhere. Crab roll was homemade $7.14. Prices are not posted so ask.

We traveled here from Ruskin for breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious. The stuffed potatoes was disgusting. I was so disappointed. I will order the sandwiches again but will not waste money on the stuffed potatoes

For cafeteria food, their prices are getting to be a little high compared to other cafeteria style Cuban food options in the area. I had plantains that seemed baked in an oven, turned to jerky. Not good. I also had picadillo and congris that was fine, but not anything to write home about. Pretty bland honestly.I hear their breakfast is good. Maybe I'll give that a shot next time.

Popped in on a whim to try a different place for a Cuban sandwich. The ladies were very friendly, welcoming, with warm smiles. I ordered a Cuban, toasted, and black beans and rice. Checkout was a breeze. Once I was home, and got my mother her portions, I was able to enjoy the delicious food. I forgot to ask about onions in the side for the beans/rice, as that is a winning combo in my mind and have seen it at other Cuban restaurants. My mother thought the sandwiches were good, and she has been a life long resident of Tampa. The tea tasted a little sad, but other than that, things are grand.

Great Cafe con Leche and Cuban toast for breakfast and when I visit for lunches it’s been great! I’m a loyal customer

So salty I couldn't finish my food. And super expensive for cafe style prepped food. Pork looks like it came from a can. Horrible

One of the best Cuban restaurants I’ve been to in Tampa. Love that the beans are cooked with bay leaves, gives it flavor . The baked chicken is full of flavor very good. The girl at the register also very warming and good customer service.

Ordered a half sheet of pernil for some company we were having for Christmas Eve. It was fantastic and our guests raved about it. I will be frequenting Gio's for lunch going forward. Thanks Gio's!

Very good! We split a cuban sandwich and plantains. It was plenty of food for us two. We also had cafe con leche. Great place. We'll eat here again!

Decent Cuban food served in a cafeteria type line. Roast pork pork chopsand a few other things along with yellow rice white rice and plantains. the quality was good I got a pork chop and rice and plantains and a fountain drink. The price was $13 pretty much double of what I would have had to pay at la teresita for similar quality.

Awesome quick service with super good food. I’ve gotten the media noche twice and it’s fantastic. Feels like Tampa’s version of Pippo’s cafe in St Pete but it’s a lot quicker to get your order in.

A local own place with reasonable food taste. Friendly workers. Cafeteria style. Sides are the same all the time though, and food changes from time to time. A good place for quick breakfast and lunch.

The most delicious food ever! Employees were super nice! I will go to eat there again!

Coffee is good, but the Steak sandwich was only ok. The meat tasted like it had been cooked on a burnt grill. I was not very satisfied with the overall experience. I hope it’s better next time.

Seemed pricey by the time I paid. Sandwiches were good but NOT the best Cuban in Tampa Bay. Pastries were good but the best thing we ordered was the papa rellena (stuffed potato)- it was big and delicious!
