My Friends and I in South Tampa been eating breakfast here for years! The food is really good. The Breakfast here is awesome! The omelette is perfect and the home-fries amazing!

For those that haven't been here, the flow of the place is a bit confusing. You walk into the dining area, but no one seats you. You are suppose to seat yourself and wait for a server to assist you. You can also order to-go from the counter. Seating seems to be limited, at least around 1 PM on a Sunday. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is very clean! The food was okay. I got the three-meat platter (pulled pork, beef, and sausage) with the potato salad and mac and cheese. The best meat was their pulled pork. My favorite park of the meal was the potato salad. There isn't anything special about their sausage or mac and cheese.

Had a very nice time here! The brisket was hot, smoky and sweet, with all the portions being huge and plentiful! Firstly, they bring out a dish of sliced dill pickles- huge thumbs up there! Great hush puppies, baked beans and cole slaw! You'll be quite full once you leave, if you can leave...

Excellent breakfast! Everything was cooked to perfection. I had the Breakfast special with ham, eggs, cheese grits, and biscuit. Highly recommend for quick, inexpensive, and delicious breakfast. Would love to return and try the cue!

This restaurant surprised us. The food was great and the service was wonderful. It is a quaint restaurant with fun but random decor. I loved the BBQ sauce and especially loved the potato salad (not normally a fan of potato salad). It is a seat yourself and go pay up at the front dining experience. The place was filled by locals that love their BBQ.

I moved away from Lakeland 8 years ago. But when I'm in town I always make it a point to stop in to Jimbo's. Still the same great food with some of the best service.

Let me start by saying my ratings are based on what I like in low and slow, American style BBQ which is a good strong smoke flavour, tender, juicy and a nice added flavour from a rub or sauce. Service we great so 5 stars there. The place itself was clean and had decent atmosphere. I chose the three meat combo and had, chicken, beef, and ribs. I note they don't serve brisket which was a disappointment. The chicken was very nice, the beef being sirloin was dry to my liking, compared to some fatty end brisket. And the ribs were nice but nothing jumped out about them. They had one sauce available which was nice on the chicken and would be great on pulled pork. Summary, fine place to go for a reasonable BBQ experience bit it's not quite a full on Texas style BBQ experience.

I ordered ribs, baked beans, and fried okra. The ribs were very good and the fried okra tasted incredibly fresh! I have never had hush puppies and was surprised they were so good! We ordered onion rings as well and they were so good I didn't get a chance to take a picture. The customer service was very friendly as well.

Excellent BBQ that has been a local favorite for decades. The freshly made pickles (not store bought in a jar) and available upon request are simply delicious. They have fresh brewed tea sweet or unsweetened. They also offer a delicious thick milkshake. The hush puppies are flavorful with a nice crunchy outside moist center. Fried okra are really good. The BBQ sauce is a mild vinegar base that really adds a nice taste to the already delicious meat options. My favorite choice has been the chopped pork sandwich platter. There are no wrong choices at JIMBO'S BBQ *our family tradition for decades*

In my never-ending search for decent BBQ in Florida, I think I may have found a pretty good candidate. Excellent meat and their sauce was amazing. Some of the tastiest fries I've had in years. We will dine here again.

This place never fails. If you live in the Tampa area you know what I’m talking about. If you are visiting you define need to check this gem out. Everything is hot and fresh. Prices are spot on and there is no competition in the area that can compete with this place. 10 stars for sure. Oh and the service is phenomenal.

Had a delicious lunch with my wife. Ribs, onion rings and couple beers. Sandy was very polite and friendly waitress. Clean bathrooms, lots of parking spot and awseome interior:) Highly recommend this place at reasonable price.

AVOID THIS PLACE NOT WORTH THE WAIT, TIME OR PRICE POINT Fourtie minutes after our order was taken. The food finaly started to arive, one at a time every few mins and no surprise mine was last. What I ordered was a sausage sandwich with a side of onion rings, and thats EXACTLY what I got. One very lonely sausage cut in half on a bun and nothing else ( no lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, not even ketchup or mustard). I asked the server if this was all the sandwich got, she asked if I wanted something else. As for the oinion rings half were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. To add insult to injury a sperate male server cleaning an adjacent table put the tray with dirty dishes next to where I was eating, this meal went from terrible to tragic fale on all fronts. For 11 ish price tag, fast food would have been a better idea

Two meat plate with chopped pork, ham, potato salad, Mac n cheese, and hush puppies delivered through UberEats. I thought both meats were pretty good but not a huge fan of any of the sides. Also tried a slice of apple pie and didn’t hate it.

Jimbo's is a Tampa institution. Generation after generation has loved this place, the food is excellent. The hush puppies are always simple and delicious, chopped or sliced BBQ pork is tender and juicy (the sauce is the best we've found in town). Passing through? They have a drive-thru too! Seriously, ENJOY!

This place is a tampa classic! I was first brought here for a breakfast special years ago. It’s nice knowing they have a full breakfast and dinner menu! Totally different offerings and very thorough. Entire menu is delicious and fresh. Bbq at it’s finest! Also- somewhat cheap!

This place is a descent BBQ restaurant the staff is courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. The have a deal on beer 2 for the price of one. I got the three meat combo with beans and potatoes salad. The meal comes with hush puppies and pickles. The chicken was the best thing that I ate it was well cooked with a light taste of smoke. I still needed BBq sauce but it was flavorful cooked through and moist. The ribs were okay I got a section of the end so those were on the dry side. They had the smoke ring but didn't taste smoke. They do give you five ribs though. The sausage I don't believe they cooked it on a smoker maybe and iron skillet. It was good but tasted like breakfast sausage. The hush puppies and pickles were delicious. I wish the pickles were deep fried and the hush puppies came with honey. The potatoes salad was very bland and I wasn't able to eat it most of it. The beans were by far the thing that I was most disappointed about. They taste like a cheaper version of Bush Baked Beans. I like Bush Baked Beans but I only took two bites. All in all I would come back the area is nice and they keep there establishment clean. I hear they have descent pulled pork sandwiches.

Wonderful BBQ and so cool you get pickles as table 😋 munchies. Most places slap bread on the table to munch on. The pickles, which was a cool change up. Our server was awesome she let us conduct our business and was very attentive to our needs. We didn't have to ask her for anything she was already on top of it. The food was great. I had fried okra, onion rings, and a salad while my business partner had a beef BBQ, and it smelled amazing 👏 The prices of the food was actually shocking that it was so reasonable, especially since inflation has shut down many small restaurants. This was a very affordable BBQ and was well worth the 1hr drive it took for us to get there. We will be coming back again.

Food is good! It's not the bang that I want in bbq. The people are amazing, atmosphere is great! I would most likely frequent this place if I lived here. I don't agree with the quality or quantity of food versus pricing. If you love bbq but have a time with it, stomach wise. Definitely give this place a try! I feel like it is definitely easier on the gut than most bbq!

We haven’t been able to find any good bbq in our area since our favorite spot closed down so we gave Jimbo’s a shot. The meals are huge! I ordered half a chicken plate with fried okra and Mac and cheese. My husband ordered ribs with baked beans and potato salad. Their sauces were delicious too. Everything was very good but my husband wasn’t a huge fan of the baked beans. The service was great and food came out pretty quick. We will be going back sometime soon.

The BBQ here was great. The coleslaw had a great tang to it, the hushpuppies were slightly overdone but still good

We heard about this place being one of the oldest BBQ places in the area. We went ahead and split a three meat dinner (Ribs, pulled pork and smoked sausage w/coleslaw, fries, and the hush puppies). The wife loved the sausage, I enjoyed the pulled pork. The ribs were good, a bit on the dry side, though. The fries were good and crispy, but the hush puppies are kind of bland and dry. The staff was very friendly too. Overall, if you haven't been, I say give it a shot. It was more of a one and done for us.

Two out of 5 stars. Feel bad giving this rating. But this barbecue is just mediocre. I don't know if it's a different style that I'm not used to but I was not impressed at all. I have eaten here twice. Had the pork sandwich they recommended the first time and the burger this last time. And the burger seem to be a pre-formed patty that they heated up on the skillet. I've had a few different sides and never impressed with any of those. And would not recommend anybody spending their time coming here. I do not know how this place has four and a half stars on Google. The customer service was great and the staff as well. Our waitress was actually a vegan which was pretty hilarious. She was a great server!

BBQ is not bad but the staff is friendly and helpful. The bibs were cooked just right and had a nice flavor. Good coleslaw and the hush puppies were like what grandma would make. I am not a big fan of smoked sirloin so I can evaluate it properly but I would avoid the sausage. Recommended.

Tampa tradition. Great BBQ and portions. Three adults can have lunch for under 40 bucks. Staff is very friendly and orders are served pretty quick. Ten times better than Sonnys.

I liked this place! It's one of those classic places you see on TV, but right here in Tampa. The food was excellent, great value, and the servers and staff were super friendly. Once I left, I realized they had a drive thru window, but the inside was comfortable although small, but just appropriate. Highly recommended!

I was horribly disappointed. 40 minutes after our order was taken the food started to arrive ( one at a time), Of course mine was last. With a grand total of 46 minutes after our order was taken. What arrived I can only describe as sad. What I had ordered was a smoke sauce sandwich, And that's what I got one piece of sausage cut in half on top of an empty bun. The Onion rings I ordered on the side, were either burnt or raw. To top it off in the middle of my meal the waiter cleaning the dirty table next to us placed the tray full of dirty dishes right next to me while I was eating. As the 1st time experienced this restaurant listed as horrible just keep going to some place else

It's been way too longs since I've been to Jimbo's. If your looking for some authentic Q in Tampa Jimbo's is a must. This is no corporate chain. This is authentic BBQ smoked nice n slow. The portions are very generous. The sliced pork was nice thick juicy slices. The ribs were just right... Tender and flavorful... No sauce is needed.... But if you like sauce the house sauce is a win. I stole some of my girlfriends fries and they were nice n crispy. Even the sweet tea is just right... Not too strong.. just the right level of sweetness.... And of course the wait staff was very friendly and our order came out pronto.
