First timers there this morning. My husband was skeptical about coming here. I read reviews prior and I had the faith. Normalee was our server and she was so sweet and went the extra mile. My husband order the chicken and pancakes. Normalee informed us the chicken is fresh made. My husband LOVED his chicken and said usually they are dried out when crispy and these where crispy and moist. My banana Carmel french toast was perfect and the amount of berries on the pancakes and french toast were beyond generous.

First time here and it was amazing! I ordered the Sally pancakes and it was so delicious and filling. Also the home fries are a must! My son is such a picky eater but he ate all his breakfast! He got the mini pancakes and absolutely loved them too. We will be back! Highly recommend. Great atmosphere as well and everyone was very kind and caring.

Food was DELICIOUS! The Shelly’s French toast with fresh fruit was phenomenal. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Not a crumb was left on the plates! Friendly service was the cherry on top. Our party of 12 was very pleased! We will most definitely be back!

Best breakfast in town and Shelly is super friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere, I haven’t been able to find a place like this in a while. Will be coming back for sure!

My friend recommended this place. The quality of the food and prices cannot be beat. We also ordered some fruit as a side and it was literally fresher and prettier than fruit plates I've received in 5 star hotels! If you need a good spot for breakfast and delicious eats, you best come here!

Our first time here.. Came in with my wife I ordered the pancake combo. Everything was perfect. The eggs and bacon were EXACTLY how I wanted them. The coffee was fresh. My wife ordered a grilled cheese and French fries. She was happy too. We will be back to try other things in the future❤️❤️❤️

A popular loacl cafe. Usually very beasy in the morning. Their breakfast menus are quite good. I tried shrimp omelet, french toast and home fries. The hone fries and the omelet was delicious.

We had a great brunch with friends at Shelly's! The food is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. I got the Shelly's French toast combo, which I would highly recommend. The fruit was fresh and plentiful, and we ended up with leftovers to take home, as the portions are hearty. We'll definitely go back!

First time trying out this little place. I got the grilled club sandwich with homefries; the portions are huge. I was a little bit disappointed that there were limited options for the lunch menu. I quickly realized it was more of a breakfast Cafe so I hope to come back sometime and try out that side of the menu. The dining area was well kept and our waiter was very fast. A little to fast though, as he buzzed by it was hard to get his attention to ask for refills. Nevertheless, it was a great experience and I hope to come back.

The food was delicious and the service was great!! I ordered a pancake combo with eggs and sausage. My mom got the bacon and cheese omelette. The food didn't take long and everything was cooked very well... nothing was over or underdone. And my pancakes were so fluffy and delicious with crispy edges 🤤! I will definitely be going back!

Friendly staff and good food. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff. It's a cozy restaurant that can fill up quickly. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, fruity French toast, western omelet, hash browns, bacon, and a sode of fruit, with strawberry lemonades. The food came out relatively quickly. Everything was at the right temperature and was tasty. The pricing is also very reasonable.

My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast together. Our waiter was VERY good and helpful and friendly. 2 stars because everyone was nice. It's been years since I've been here but think remember the grits being great? And never went on a weekend... So came in here alone to study in a quiet corner and eat grits and drink coffee. It was crazy busy which is GREAT! love to see a small business busy in the middle of a weekday. It was seat yourself style (totally fine for me) and found the only small table that was clean on top. Well, there were 4 whole strawberries squished on the floor under my feet. I really had to be careful as it was a small table and didn't want to track that back to my car. Then.. coffee, paid and left.... Super disappointed..

Loved Shelly’s! The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food came out fast and was delicious. I got the fried dough and a veggie omelette both were cooked to perfection. We were not rushed out and next time I want to go back and get some pancakes, the banana walnut sounded so yummy. Great local brunch spot!

Kickin 'A' Cafe! A sweet Sunday morning on this third rock from the Sun. The August heat relentlessly returning to triple digits once again. We stepped in, out of the Florida Ave oven, into a really cool cafe. Right off the bat I've gotta say SERVICE! This place is teeming with a football jersey clad team that scores big points in my book. Greeted by all, seated by one, checked on by many. Wow! Wish I could give 10 Stars for Service. Izzy M was the running back for our game. She's fast with no fumbles. No 'hurry-up offense' as we broke from the huddle with a winning game plan. We knew we were Super Bowl, or at least Super Platter bound! My formation consisted of me and my Fav Fab One, whom I'll simply call my flanker. Ain't no way I'd call her my tight end or tailback! You think I'm crazy??? Our Hail Mary play turned out to be the game winning touchdown. That is, we both ordered BLT's. Hers with fries, mine with home fries. BACON. Six crispy, crunchy bacon strips stacked on some Brioche bread for the win! Brioche, the perfect bread for this sandwich, with that inherent buttery & egg taste. Yum for the tum. Shelly's Beignets for the Extra Points! Think little golden round sugar-coated mouth pleasing flavor bombs! I'm SURE a LOT of people come in JUST for the Beignets! Shelly's would be smart to give one 'teaser' Beignet to each customer as a Welcome Gift....I'm sure they'd be selling more of them, like hotcakes! LOL Shelly's playing field is spotless and well maintained. With a great coaching staff, they've found the way to consistently win. They won us over! IF you want to be in on something big too, just tell them John & Fab One sent ya!

This place to great! The food tasted really good, the service was excellent and the menu selection was variety. The chicken strip and the sauce is very delicious, the mini pancakes, bacon and eggs were cooked well. The grits were just ok but everything else made up for the grits

This place is amazing! Ordered the veggie omelette with side of grits and toast. My expectations for the grits were very high because i loooove grits. Safe to say my expectations were met! The omelette was delish it was the perfect size. Lemonade comes with free refills! (Strawberry lemonade is super good). It was a little loud when we were inside but thats to be expected during their busiest hours. I loved our waitress, NormaLee, she was very friendly and made sure we were happy with our meal. Great little place! We went because of lots of recommendations from friends. Service was great and all were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious! I had the banana Carmel french toast and home fries. My son had the shrimp omelette and home fries. Mom got the egg sandwich with fries as well. All were very good. They are closed on Tuesdays.

Shelly’s was an interesting breakfast. There was a bit of a wait but we waited no more than 5 to 10 minutes to be seated. While seated our food came out quickly and everything tasted good. The pancakes were crispy on the edges just like I like it. The bacon was crunchy and the eggs were pretty decent. I ordered the beignets which if you are expecting New Orleans style beignets, you may be a bit disappointed. It tasted good as a pastry though. I also got the house Fries, which I was not impressed with. They were just basic potatoes, fried and sprinkled with salt. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and will return in the future to try out new items. The service was exceptional and for that reason alone, I will be back. I server was attentive, and made sure to ensure that our needs were met the entire time. For them to be as busy as they were the kitchen and staff did a awesome job getting people in and out. Kudos to the staff!!

We found a hidden gem! The food, the service, the atmosphere was all top notch! I had the banana pancakes and they were delicious. My family was very pleased with what they ordered also. Samantha provided us with amazing service and was very friendly and accommodating. Prices are on par with most of the restaurants in the Tampa area.

Went to Shelly's Cafe for breakfast today. I chose the buttermilk pancakes with a fresh fruit topping - strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. The pancakes were slightly dry, but the generous portion of fruit made up for it. I added medium-well eggs and home fries to my order. The eggs were just the way I like them - lightly cooked with a semi-runny yolk. The home fries were decent, could've used a bit more crunch and a little more seasoning. My wife tried the Western omelette, served with home fries and toast, and she liked it. One highlight was the service - our waitress was super friendly, and a man who seemed like the owner made a point to check in with us. That was a nice touch. Overall, I'm rating Shelly's Pancakes 4.5 out of 5. While there's a bit of room for improvement (I'm looking at you, home fries), the quality breakfast and pleasant atmosphere mean we'll likely be back at some point. If a well-crafted breakfast in a relaxed setting is your jam, you might want to give Shelly's a try.

Local Cafe in Florida Blueberry Pancakes had lots of blueberries and good flavor don't expect your normal size Pancakes these were on the smaller size just a little bigger than silver dollar Pancakes. The grilled cheese sandwich was good was looking for spicy mustard and they didn't have it. Overall serive was good very friendly and attentive however prices were high. $11 for 3 small Pancakes

The food is amazing, and their grits are the best I've had since I was a child, everything tastes homemade. The owner was amazing he checked on everyone and made us feel welcome. Our serve Ryan was the best. I definitely will be going back when I'm in Tampa.

Wanted to try out a new spot and support family own businesses as I normally do. Upon arriving was seated and unattended to. A party of 8 arrived after we did, they was seated and attended to. I politely exited this establishment as it was clear they did not have any intentions of providing me and my party of 2 any service!!! If service is important to your experience stay clear of this place!!!

First of all this breakfast was astonishing, second of all the service by Samantha was incredible, never once did it feel like we were forgotten about. Give that lady a Raise!! And to the chefs in the back, that Shelly sauce was BANGIN! Definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for great breakfast. And to the Owner if you see this please open a Cafe in West Palm Beach I beg you!

I had 3 cheese omelet with home fries, friend had hamburger with pear reduction.He said it was a great hamburger. Staff were very attentive for needs. Please give it a try. Breakfast and lunch. I discovered this wonderful place just after they opened for business in 2017 and have been a true fan ever since! The food is prepared from scratch (I always think that is a weird phrase) and couldn't be better! Everything is flavorful and presented delightfully! See photos! The shrimp omelet (my favorite!) with shrimp, spinach, sun dried tomatoes and a savory cheese- super yum! I elect the fruit salad side (there is an up charge) but well worth it as it is accompanied by a homemade caramel sauce- also super yum! Last were the pancakes- OMG- they almost float into the air they're so light and fluffy! I visit on weekdays and the few times I've gone on weekends it was busy but easily well worth they wait. And while you wait, please notice the art on the walls- original works of many types- a nice visual feast.
