Lunch buffet was great. Fun atmosphere, nothing too fancy. Food was tasty and fresh, was like home cooked. Nice change from the same old same old. I will be back. Good variety too.

Great curry goat but they should not be serving conch fritters. It’s not their specialty. Bahamian conch fritters don’t look so. The heat is too high so the outside is burned while the inside is not done. I fully enjoyed the curry goat but had to throw the fritters away.

Holy yummy buffet! So we stopped here after we received a family local recommendation and it was sooo good. Red beans and rice was very tasty, they had plantains, fish, vegetables, cabbage, and various meats (chicken, pork and more). The BBQ chicken and Curry chicken was my favorite!!!! The flavoring was mild because everyone has to eat it but, it was good enough for my pallet and oh so tender. Red sauce was delicious too. We wish they had some type of bread like roti or even a cornbread with the buffet. Check this place out! Pricing was good too! They got a 4 because of the bathrooms were dirty, someone did not fill up the soap dispenser and just left the container on the counter which required the need to pour the large jug yourself. Also the hagglers outside in front trying to sell stuff made it confusing because we did not know if they were with the store or not. Super annoying.

I visit Jerk Hut for the second time this year and I received the same nasty food from last time. I definitely won’t be back. The oxtails was not good at all, I don’t believe the food is made fresh & the fish bites was certainly not fresh & had a fishy taste. However, I did enjoy the homemade juice but the food needs a lot of improvements. The checkout man did refund me and was very polite.

Food was amazing. They have a buffet with all your favorites for under $20. The only suggestion I have is the food bar ne a little hotter. Some Food was a little cold. Shout out to the cook for blessing us with those oxtail, and Mac & Cheese. Thank you.

The plates they give you to-go fold with the weight of the food. It's very cheap quality to-go containers they leak too. But aside from that...the chicken was dry and lacked the flavor I'm used to with jamican food. Basically, they take the short-cut and the cheap route. I'd advise looking further for your jamican food.

Pro - It’s a nice atmosphere and super busy. The people are friendly and the food was delicious. I also love the big screen in front that shows the order is ready and who is being in process. Con- I ordered takeout so I can bring it home. Constructive criticism they need an additional person to just answer phones and take orders. It was so busy and so unorganized. I was disconnected three times before I actually placed my order. The phone rang so many times without a soul answering before that. This was because they were on the other line taking more orders. Upon my arrival, I had missing items they had to cook while other food was getting cold. I would be hire another person just to take orders. The two ladies are overworked and they need some help.

Glad I stopped by this place for lunch. There were two options when you walk in, a sit down area and a take out section. Love all the colors in the architecture. There is outdoor seating too which I would not be surprised if it packs in late at night. I chose takeout. Staff was easy to work with. I ordered chicken curry and a beef patty. The patty did not even make it home it was so good. The chicken curry was supposed to be my lunch, but I think it will feed my entire family for dinner. And it was good to boot! The prices cannot be beat. I'm coming back to try some more goodies.

Only take out and delivery. However..you are welco.e to use the patio once you food order is ready. Menu is different than when across the street, however the aromas and food quality are all there in spades!

Nice and spacious caribbean restaurant and lounge. Serving most dishes I am accustomed to, including brown stew or stem fish, which are my personal favorites. They also provide a nicely stacked all you could eat buffet. I enjoyed the dine-in experience.

Let's just say I have eaten here before, but something has changed. Couldn't take a picture of the food area buffet table that would have given me away. But nonetheless, I won't be back. I repeat, it's nice to have a profit but it's nice to have a clean restaurant. You making the money fix the place up including all the side rooms. The music was too loud not on a professional sound system cheap speakers from the ceiling with a high-pitched tone very annoying. I really love the burnt plantains. I highly recommend you that you don't try them or you must be used to this kind of cooking.

The food is delicious, and the drinks are strong. The restaurant can easily host your events with a private room available but go for the food. They offer menu and buffet style with a drink menu that is not for the weak drinkers. The service and attentiveness is excellent.

The best Jamaican buffet in Tampa. It's only Monday and the spread was huge. Large and spacious, there is a booming to go business, a very large outdoor dining area, a full bar indoors as well as a salon for live music and dancing. Pre-pandemic they were across the street in a smaller building with a small parking area. Post-pandemic, they now have a huge place less than a quarter mile from the old place with tons of parking. The buffet had jerk chicken, fried chicken, curry chicken, bbq chicken, brown stew chicken, jerk pork, braised beef, rice with peas, yellow rice, white rice, stewed peas, cabbage, collard greens, green beans, sweet potato, pumpkin, meatballs, corn on the cob and more. Popular items not on the buffet include 2 of my favorites, oxtail and curry goat. They have meat pies, soups every day, fruit drinks and the list goes on. Service is quick and friendly. I can highly recommend the Jerk Hut for tasty and authentic Jamaican cuisine.

I think I have already written a great review, but I wanted to write again after today's visit. This place is AMAZING! Food is incredible!! The buffet has soooo many delicious choices and is kept full all the time. I don't even like eating foods like Jerk Chicken but I LOVE it at Jerk Hut!! It has just the right amount of spice for any palate. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. It feels like I'm back on one of the islands. I ordered a drink from the bar and they did not skimp on the alcohol so it was a very good drink! Besides the awesome wait staff, there was a manager who was walking around making sure everyone was happy and making sure the buffet was filled, etc...he said he is from Guyana but I'm sorry to say I didn't ask his name and didn't look at his tag. He was the sweetest and so hospitable! My husband ordered oxtail (from the menu, not at the buffet) and he LOVED it! This place is a must! It is our new weekly spot! Go! You won't regret it!

I ordered conch fitters, and it was conch balls. Ordered a large brown stew, and inside were two legs, wing, and one thigh. The large curry goat had the most meat. Don't order the side of mac and cheese. it's not worth it. $70 FOR THIS!! Won't be back

Perfectly Seasoned Jerk chicken, rice and beans were on point moist and flavorful. The curry chicken was AMAZING with flavor and spices that took me back to Jamaica! There's no dining in right now (Covid-19 restrictions) so online and pick up orders are all that can be done, also if you wanna dine on their outside deck that's very possible also. We had our food to go and my main regret was that I ordered the whole Jerk chicken family meal and the veggies were left out😩😫, ohhh well I'll check the bag next time!!

I have been looking for a good Jamaican restaurant, and I finally went to this restaurant after being here in FL for a year. I walked in and asked about dining in, and when we sat, I was told I had an option to buffet or order from the menu. (What!) Jamaican buffet... The food was hot, with great food options, no curry goat or oxtail) but I understood, veggies, and very tasty food. The owner also came out and asked how everything was going, I am from Connecticut, where the Jamaican restaurant is not like this.... You're greeted with attitudes for days. But not here, my waitress Shaquania was Amazing and beautiful. The young lady at the bar with the dreads was great. I loved everything and can't wait to return with more Family!!! Big Ups.. 🫶🏾

The food, staff and attention to not only detail but making sure we had everything we needed during our use of the private room was outstanding. Our family did all of the beautiful decorations and I wanted to show the way this room could be used for private events. The food was not only delicious-again, the staff was really on top of things and were making sure we were enjoying all of it! A few of us were from out of town so we were unfamiliar with the menu and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of flavors that blended so well together. We had several different choices and it was set up buffet style-I tasted everything that was offered and especially liked the way the chicken was prepared. One of my favorite sides was the cabbage! It was sublime. Second favorite was the way the green bean & carrot mix was prepared; perfectly cooked so they weren’t mushy and had a nice bite to them. Nothing we had was too spicy, but, there was a nice surprise kick to the vegetable side dish. Since we did travel from out of town, the next time we’re here, this is definitely a place where I’d love to sit on the restaurant side and get to enjoy some dishes we didn’t have. The ONLY thing that wasn’t done the way I would have liked is that the wine we purchased from the bar was served in a plastic cup. I’m assuming this was because were in a different area and they didn’t want broken glass back there? Not entirely sure though because the beers that were being drunk were in glass bottles. Looking forward to visiting again soon and eating in the restaurant section. Definitely deserving of all 5 stars.

Attended the All Nations event Saturday while in town. We paid for a table & general admission but we realized we really could've just came in without booking anything for less & still got an unreserved table on the time we got there. The food was great though. Good favors.

Me and my family wanted to try something different so I looked up places to eat on Google and this was the first place that popped up. I'll start off with the food. The Sunday buffet was superb. I enjoyed the food very much had so much flavor and the meats where cooked to perfection. I have to say though My favorite was the potato salad It instantly made me love this place it was so good. No complaints about food. I didn't have booze because I have to drive. My new favorite place thank you so much for the fantastic service

First impression of ambiance at a 2! Service at a 4 and food at a good 8! I had to get past a lot to even consider eating here but the place did not have a line a people ordering food for no reason. The food was very flavorful and for the price of the buffet it was good! Some TLC to this place would do it some good and bring in more customers.

The best jerk in town hands down, I had the ox tail and curry goat wit rice and beans with a order of a half jerk chicken ….. Amazing flavor very intense I will say. Over all 10 out of 10 must try again.

Waste of $20. The Chicken soup looks strange but I drank some broth after smelling the soup bc it smelled edible but it made me VOMIT. I was also turned off by only 3 pcs of brown stew chicken and though the rice and gravy tasted OK im very disappointed because this isn’t the best Jamaican food AND absolutely not worth the price. I had to trash the entire meal.

I was in Tampa for my birthday weekend & I looked this spot up & it was a must from the pictures I seen to the good reviews. Jerk Hut was a whole vibe & the food was Delicious. The best oxtails I’ve ever had & the Rasta Pasta was on point I had plenty of leftovers & my husband had no complaints just an empty plate. Also for the price you will be highly satisfied with the portions.

I have recently been introduced, properly, to the Jamaican way of cooking, and I can only say; I wish I’d been so introduced earlier! The food here is legit amazing! The Guyanese goddess I recently fell in love with has been a breath of fresh air, when it comes to how I enjoy food. Less is more when it comes to calories; more is better when it comes to seasonings. The BBQ pulled pork is my favorite, so far, at Jerk Hut.

Food was amazing. They have a buffet or meal to dine from. I order from the menu because I wanted Roti. Waitress I believe named Amanda was nice and tentative to our needs. Open friendly atmosphere, played Caribbean music in the background. We definitely enjoyed ourselves. Went with co workers for a birthday lunch.

I ordered Large Lunch Brown Stew Chicken w/ rice and cabbage and a side of Mac n chz. Positive: The chicken, rice, and cabbage were very flavorful. The cashiers were nice and welcoming. Negative: The price point of the food didn't seem fair. I paid 15.99 (even though their menu said 14.99) for the Brown Stew Chicken, Rice, Cabbage. There wasn't enough meat on the plate. There was a couple pieces of breast meat , meat from a wing, back from a thigh but no meat, and a bone from a drumstick The worst part was paying an additional $4.99 for a side of Mac and cheese that was absolutely horrible (see picture). I'm okay with paying an additional cost, but I should have been paid to eat that. I couldn't believe someone actually packed it on the plate and served it. It was dried out, and the noodles on top were hard. In summary, Im a little disappointed. In the past, I could always count on Jerk Hut to get me right. This time was a fail.

Firstly, the ATTITUDE! STINKS! I got chicken soup and not even the batty was cut off from the chicken.. Just nasty.. That pasta is definitely not a Rasta.. should be called bald pasta cause where? The chicken just white.. no flavor.. Nope would not recommend.
