I haven't been to this place in over 5-6 years. I walked in with my daughter last week...wow. All new games and machines. They have definitely upgraded and put the work in. I played a game that wasn't working, they immediately came and fix it. I was highly impressed. Next time we'll try the food, which looked great.

PARENTS BEWARE!!! We were excited to try out this arcade with our young kiddos. We were incredibly pleased to see it was clean and most of the games were working. A little more on the expensive side for what you get (spent $75.00 for about an hour of play with two kids). The experience was really enjoyable until we went to cash in our points. My kids agreed to share ONE Super Mario stuffed toy (about 9 inches tall and sells for about $4.00 online) which was advertised on the shelf as 1225 points. We spent $75 and had 1256 points. They went to ring us out and to our surprise and disappointment told us it was now 1275 points. Customer service 101 would tell you, you advertised 1225 and made $71.00 profit off of my family, you would graciously give my two kids one stuffed animal. NOPE! THEY TOOK THE TOY BACK AND PUT IT BACK ON THE SHELF! Imagine two kids, who are already having to share one toy, having the toy put back on the shelf and FOUR EMPLOYEES including the manager defiantly standing their ground over THEIR ERROR. We calmly requested they right their wrong, and after realizing we were not leaving and also not giving them any more money, gave us the stuffed toy. This "management" and team members ruined the first day of our vacation and didn't hesitate to rudely treat children like little profit machines. Never again.

This place was god awful. The food was bland. First we got Mac n cheese balls, they were way over fried almost solid and then we got cheese sticks that were also over fried so they were empty when we bit into them. All the burgers just fall apart. The only redeeming part of the meal was the curly fries. My friend got a glass that wasn't clean and smelled like spoiled food had been sitting in it for a while which completely ruined his appetite. The facility and arcade looked nice but after eating that food we didn't want to spend any more money here.

I booked the Deluxe Party package for my son’s 9th birthday and it did not disappoint. Well I should say she did not disappoint. The event coordinator Sabrina was amazing. She was so busy with a last minute party but she never stopped checking in with me and telling me what was going on. My son and his friends enjoyed everything. Thank you Sabrina for being amazing. You were such a beautiful and positive energy. I definitely recommend her for your next party at GameTime. Worth every penny. 💙

They got rid of the timed play cards except for Thursday. You used to be able to go in and purchase unlimited gaming by the hour. It made it an affordable and fun place to take the kids. I walked out after I saw the prices for the per game cards. Sorry but I don't see this place lasting much longer. Not sure if it was a move of desperation to bring in more income as traffic may be lower now with the movies closed and the popular steak house closed and well... Many other places closed. I will say that the staff was still polite and friendly as always but the price structure is to rich for my blood now. It's sad to see this jewel of a spot in such decline.

Going down hill..rip off! Ordered a vodka soda at the bar and was upsold to a double. Could not have been a three count on the pour. I said I did want a double as I thought he did not hear me. He said he is prohibited by management to give a fair drink. In other words, employees are trained to steal from the customers. What a rip off. I came back real soon for another drink and told the bartender that I would be broke and sober if had a other drink so I got a beer. Had 2 beers and a drink for $30. Spent $50 on a play card with my daughter. Tried to play air hockey and scored two points and it shut down in about 2 minutes..the whole place is now just one big scam to take your money. Save your hard earned money, take your $86 and go elsewhere. Burned through the $50 card in 30 minutes.

We came here Saturday night. At first I was going to write a bad review and walk out. We sat in the bar area for about 10 mins and no one greeted us. Then I walked up to the bar and the bartended Candy asked if I had been help. I said no and she apologize, explained it was only her and the other bartender working the bar and here was no one working the floor. So she took our order, my son ordered a Yuengling and she then explained it would be a minute because she had to change out the keg. That was perfect for us, so we weren't sitting there wondering what was taking so long. There was 6 of us in our group. I ordered the chicken and waffle party plate. After a little bit I asked Candy if the food was still coming out. She again was super honest and said she forgot, however, she put the order in and made sure to make it a priority. The food came out and it was amazing! The chicken was super moist, and the waffles were thick and crispy. Candy was amazing!! This was going to be a bad review a complaint to the manager and 6 customers walking out. Candy is the reason we stayed and this review is a 5 star. I would just suggest that especially on a Saturday night there should be 1 or 2 other people working the bar floor. Candy and the other bartender were working thier butts off the whole night

It’s okay. It works if you want to just let the kids run around and play while you grab some dinner or a drink. Some games work, some don’t, some have missing pieces/parts. You can’t properly play with missing items… it’s perplexing they haven’t fixed this yet as we have returned a couple of times. Our favorite game is air hockey and they have two of the absolute WORST air hockey tables I have ever used. The pucks are not meant for either table, so it doesn’t work when playing and scoring points. We probably won’t return.

I love coming to gametime. Great place to bring family. Able to enjoy some alcohol drinks and as well as non alcohol drinks for the kiddos. I do recommend trying the loaded nachos, with chicken delicious.

I go to GT every other month or so with my kids. We enjoyed the 2hr game cards that were unlimited play for all machines that didn't give out tickets. Well folks, the staff told me that ended about a month ago. Now, you can only get those cards on Thursdays. Normal play is expensive! 250 points for $50. Games average 8-9 points for one play; some may cost more. For reference, it will take a 10 year old approximately 40 minutes to deplete said card. Both kids wanted to pay more, and as much as I didn't want to double my expenditures (before dinner), but I gave in because we were used to more play time. The games are arcade games, nothing special to see, but I will say that when we go, they don't typically have many machines out if any. My kiddos have been lucky enough to score 4 toys from the grabber machine, so they work! All in all, it's not a bad place but the prices can be steep which is why I gave GT 3 stars. If we had enjoyed the 2hr card, on a Sunday, I would've easily rated them 4 stars.

Nice arcade, large variety of games. You can stop in and have a meal, or just to play the games. Everything seemed pretty clean. Great place to spend an hour or two, especially if you have some time to burn before heading to the airport. Games use a cashless payment method, but it is very easy to load credits onto one of their game cards. And the tickets earned are tracked on the card as well. As for the games, we liked the mini bowling alley the most.

Went to gametime for for my first time yesterday. All of the staff and the bartender were super nice. The food on the other hand was not good and extremely overpriced. You can purchase a game card for $25 with 100 game credits on it which seems like a lot but it's really not seeing as most games are 6 plus credits and you only get one very short turn. Also some of the game controllers (steering wheels, "guns") were broken so it was a waste of credits to even play the game. Honestly, I wouldn't go back but it was a fun and overpriced first experience there.

Game Time is a great in door arcade to bring kids. The game cards are affordable and you can even get a deal right with an entree included. For adults the drinks are affordable and there’s even a bar and some adult games to play. Well I even played the kids games too. Overall a fun place for a date or to bring the kids to have fun. We ordered wings, chicken dip, fries, salad, burgers and drinks. They also gave my nephew a slice of cake for his birthday! He was so happy !

Game Time Tampa was a blast! The arcade had a wide variety of games, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The venue was clean, and the attractions were well-maintained. They also offered tasty food and drink options. With a range of activities and reasonable prices, Game Time Tampa provided a fantastic value for an exciting day out. Highly recommended for a fun-filled experience!

I had an event at GameTime yesterday and have nothing but great things to say! The event room was nice and well decorated. Our party host, Debra, was amazing! She was very friendly and so helpful. Everyone said the food was great and the games were all in good working order. It was a great party!

My Nephew and I had a great time playing games. Management and staff were very friendly. I was very impressed with the number of games…more than any other arcade I have been to in the Tampa area. I will definitely be going back.

This place needs to be on bar rescue food took absolutely way too long. After it finally arrived all our burgers were burnt and you can tell the cooks didn’t clean the grill prior to making our burgers. Save yourself the trouble and eat some fast food instead.

Would not recommend this place to anyone. While playing an arcade game, my sister set down her purse, and within finishing the game, it was gone. The employees wouldn’t let us look at the cameras (which they have tons all around the inside), and kept saying that there was nothing they could do. This is not a trustworthy business, and I would not come here, let alone bring your family.

The games were fun, and most were post drink friendly. The bartender kept a fun and light conversation throughout the night. If you are looking for a chill spot with good staff I'd swing though here.

I have not been to GameTime in several years. Our first visit was to the restaurant area. Our server was nice and knowledgeable about the menu items. Our food was served hot and fresh and in a timely manner. There are a lot of games, but most of them are for younger kids. It is still a fun place and having food and drinks available in house is a plus.

The place alone was great! Food was great! Atmosphere was awesome. Even the server was good until we all noticed our checks at the end.... Our server tried to jack up the suggested gratuity amounts and pass them off as the correct amounts because he assumed he could make a quick buck off of drunk people.

We stopped here while visiting and enjoyed our visit. We had a pretty large party but were seated immediately and food came out quickly as well. I didn’t hear any complaints about anyone’s dish. I would only say that my wings could have used a bit more seasoning because they were a bit bland. Overall, I would visit again.

Everyone who works there is very kind and it wasn’t super busy so it felt like we had the place to ourselves to play any games we want. The only reason i didn’t give 5 stars is because i thought it would be bigger and have a few more games. It’s cheaper than Dave and busters but the tickets don’t give you much of anything so play for fun instead of for tickets.

Nice place for a bite, stay away from the nachos, to generic. Pizza is mediocre. Good games and good cocktails.

Lots of fun for the family. Good food and drinks and lots of variety of games to play. Service in the restaurant is fantastic, our server Hailey was super attentive and personable. Definitely will return, kiddos loved it and actually ate!

Great place to kill sometime before our flight home. Excellent bar tender who made custom mojitos and was very friendly and kind. He even hooked us up with to go waters and ice.

I like the atmosphere better than Dave and Busters. It's less crowded. Plus I also love that it's located in Ybor, so when I've had my fill of games I can still walk around the strip and visit other stores. The games are of good selection and prizes are easy to attain. They have pool tables that are right by the upper bar and a pretty decent restaurant across from it.

3 hours went by fast at the bar while junior spent 50 on the latest and greatest video game machines out there. The bar fare was better than most I can remember. We will be back again soon.

Very disappointing experience here for a birthday party where we spent over 500$. Most of our food orders were made incorrectly and only half of us received our food while the other half had to wait an additional 30mins for the rest to come out. Kitchen staff were yelling and fighting with one another and cussing very loudly to where everyone could hear. Very unprofessional. We definitely won't be back.

Game Time is a nice spot to hang out with friends or have a quick fun date night. The food is good, the adult beverages are plentiful, and the game options are adequate but not substantial. The fun you'll have depends on you.

  • 5/5 Vanessa M. 1 year ago on Google
This place was awesome! They have several ways you can enjoy the games. Hourly cards or token cards. And each game is lit up the color of the card you can use on it. We had a blast and it wasn't even busy. I went on a Friday night and was very surprised. Will definitely be back.

Cold beer at good price, average food, mixed drinks can be better.. Great place for entertain the kids.. two thumbs-up for maganer Terrance (sorry if I didn't remember you name right) for help me out today.. The server didn't explained how the Play with your food promo works and he went above and beyond to get it right for me so I didn't missed the discounted play time.. Thank you!!. We will be back...

Came here to end my 35th Birthday. $25 all the games I can play for an hour?! Deal! Worked for all games except those that reward tickets, obviously. They have all the brand new games, A+.

The bar staff was awesome super friendly with fast service. The food was also good. I didn’t rate 5 stars because the bar management treats their employees very poorly. My fiancé and I witness the bar manager ‘don’t know his name darker gentlemen who is the bar manager’ speak to his employee who was a younger women with the most disrespect I’ve ever witness in a work environment. I usually don’t leave reviews but the way he degraded her I just had to put it out somewhere. Getting cussed out and disrespected for making a mistake is unacceptable I hope this man gets held accountable. It was painful to witness to be honest. It took everything in us not to smack the s*** out this fool. My recommendation would be to get new leadership who treats their employees like human beings.

Went with my two boys, 7 & 9. Had a great experience. Staff was really great. The price is totally reasonable. The kids had an absolute blast. Having a bar is also a plus for the adults! Love that it's a contained space. The kids can sort of do their own thing and you don't have to be constantly looking over your shoulder or helicoptering them. The games were all in working order. A few of them are aged, but that's probably par for a place like this. Overall, we had a blast and will definitely be back again!
