I got the 3 little pigs sliders, tomato soup, the double burger, fries, and the pink drink. The food disappointed, especially for the price. The potato buns and pretzel buns were seriously too thick and hard. The tomato soup and pulled pork were extremely salty. I like salt, but this was too much. The burger meat and fillings were good, but I had to take the top bun off to eat it, since it was too hard, either overdone or stale. The fries were a $3 upcharge as a regular side with the burger, which is not what you'd expect, since burgers generally come with fries. But to make things worse, the fries were rock hard and dry like they were reheated or overcooked. The inside decor and atmosphere looked nice from a distance but its extremely loud, to the point where you can't hear the person you're sitting next to and eating with. The pink drink was great. I'd only go back for the drinks and atmosphere. I don't recommend the food. It's less like a restaurant and more like a bar with food, which isn't what they market as so it was a disappointing experience.

Came here initially expecting a run of the mill steak place, but it is far from it. Right off the bat, the environment is very comforting and the servers are exceptionally welcoming. The menu is vast and offers many different types of food. My brother and I each ordered an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Everything was phenomenal. Fresh and delicious. The gravy on my chicken and waffles had such a unique flavor that goes so well with the dish. The namesake whiskey cake was one of if not the best cakes, or even best desserts, I’ve ever had. Overall amazing experience and food. Not even that expensive for what it is. We were expecting to pay at least 100 for the both of us, it wasn’t even 80. Not cheap but not overpriced. You certainly get what you pay for, and then some.

If you are looking for a decent environment for driving and munching on great food then this is the place. This place has high ceiling and very openly decorated floor with details that will make you want to order drinks. We ordered the sampler platter, chicken, and beef with pasta. They all taste rich and savory. Their drinksbare amazing. Just ask the server what the best drink and if you like fruity and tangy drinks then this is the place. We lastly order whiskey cake and that was amazing. Of course we didn't finish everything as portions weren't small. But worth trying as many as possible to learn more about this amazing place! Afterwards you can walk inside the mall and digest and shop!

Ambience set the scene for a cozy meal. Loved the smoking old fashioned. The food was great. The service was amazing. HUGE shoutout to our server Elijah for anticipating our every need. Valmy stopped by our table to make us feel like real VIPs. We will definitely return.

We visited for Father's day. We made reservations online and were immediately seated upon arrival. Our waiter was absolutely amazing, extremely polite and interactive with our daughter (always a plus). We ordered mimosas to start, they were spot on.We also has the wabbit smash, very refreshing and the great escape, strong but delicious. Definitely want to try more of their Cocktails. The kiddo had lemonade. For appetizers we had the bacon and jalapeño drop biscuits and the local artisan goods. We really enjoyed those. For meals we had the chicken and waffles, the shrimp and grits and mac and cheese, chicken tenders and salad (kiddo). Overall we had a great experience and will be back for the dinner experience, we had brunch this first visit.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food and dessert. Stopped in for a bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. Started out with some duck wings which were fantastic. They had great flavor. Ordered a steak which came out just as I wanted....... medium. The steak wasn't over seasoned and had a nice smoke flavor. It came with nice hand cut fries. We also had a juicy turkey burger with some awesome hand made potato chips. The fresh made juice was delicious as well but they really filled the glasses with lots and lots of ice. Finally the dessert was also great. It wasn't too sweet and had a nice fresh whipped cream. Overall the place was clean. The bathroom was just okay clean.

Amazing dinner. The food and service were above par . Daughter in law and I had Lobster Mac &cheese and ribeye for my son. The whiskey cake we had for dessert is probably the best cake I've ever had. The cake was big enough for all 3 of us to share.

Anytime I visit a new city, I find a place that has chicken and waffles on their menu to see how they add a signature touch. For Whiskey Cake, it's definitely the sausage gravy! Tried it on the side and the consistency is perfect for dipping. The chicken tenders had a decent seasoning on them. Unfortunately they were out of the bacon I really wanted to try. The millionaire bacon that my server Kayla suggested was pretty good, just wish it was more than 2 slices

This place is great, because everything is so fresh. It's a farm to table place. We have been a couple times. The brunch is AMAZING! They have a great variety on their menu for food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic specialty drinks. Also if you follow me, you know I am preferential to dog friendly places, which are on the patio. It's also located at the mall so you can have a great meal and do some shopping after or before. Don't forget to get their signature dessert the Whiskey Cake!

Great experience been here several times first time with my Mom. Alex was our server she was awesome took the time to explain everything just like you would expect. It's a scratch kitchen so it's easy to change up some of the menu items. Bailey the manager visited our table give us a complimentary appetizer while we were waiting which was greatly appreciated it was the shrimp deviled eggs they were terrific thanks Bailey! Place is modern clean hip fun & you could turn any juice drink into a cocktail 🍹😉... If you like whiskey this is your place as well! This family-friendly what more could you ask for?

The food (especially the cake) was phenomenal, and the smoked old fashioned was top tier. Service was a mixed bag. My server was amazing perfect, attentive but not overly so. The kitchen had to redo my entrée, but at least they didn't deliver the first one to me. And they gave me some deviled eggs to tide me over without asking. I was SHOCKED however when someone (maybe the hostess...but not my server) asked me if I didn't mind paying for my to-go cake order separately and right now. I had just tucked into my (late) pork chop and couldn't believe I was being asked to pay for something mid-meal. My guess is she was wanting the tip on the $150 bill for two cakes, but it was very uncool. But the constant with this location and the one I've been to in Austin is the noise. Both locations feature several long tables in the heart of their dining rooms which encourages large parties of people who inevitably have to yell at eachother to carry on a conversation. I was sitting alone and a few tables over from the closest long table and was having a really difficult time enjoying my meal with so much noise. The food and prices are elevated, but the atmosphere is ridiculously loud and service was inconsistent. I'd give the same feedback for the Austin location, so it may be systemic

Whiskey Cake has been one of our favorite places in the Dallas area -- and it's just as fantastic here. They always have very fresh, delicious foods that offer new and interesting tastes. We have tried many dishes over the years and none have disappointed. The drinks here are all quite good, but the real treat is the Whiskey Cake itself! You must try it! In general the service is good; however, occasionally they will be very busy and it's hard for their staff to keep up.

The food was delicious, the duck wings had great flavor and were not dry, the drink was strong and good. The atmosphere was great, it looked like a true farm to fork joint

This is a great place for casual eats especially if you’re looking for good drinks as well. The service was pleasant with a smile and you had multiple choices of what atmosphere you wanted- outside in shade; outside in sun; inside at a table or at the bar. A little disappointed the outside bar wasn’t open. The food was fresh and filling with good portions. I had the smoked chicken salad. A good pour of wine but not a great pour…I have experienced great pours elsewhere. Great location and of course plenty of parking.

My go to spot on Tampa. I travel a lot and eat even more so I’m always looking for stand out restaurants and this is definitely one of them. They’re a farm to table restaurant and their drinks are made pre prohibition style which means they make all their mixers in house. I mostly go for their appetizers and of course their famous Whiskey Cake. I even order a Whiskey Cake to take back home with me when I fly out. I highly recommend the duck wings and three little pigs as an appetizer. Their steaks are delicious. The nonalcoholic fresh drinks are also a superstars on the menu. My personal favorite is Their Jessica Wabbit drink.

My second time at this restaurant and everything is so great and fresh. It's definitely one of my favorites. I believe everything is made In house, including the bread. Update, been back to this resturant 4 times and it just gets better. Service was great!

This was a very nice place, our server was very knowledgeable and knew what she was talking about. She told us they serve farm to table so they can accommodate any dietary needs on the spot. Drinks were great as well.

Delicious food in a convenient location. The decor is really amazing. My friends loved the namesake whiskey cake. The hummus was quite unusual with the addition of herbs and spices. Fresh juices were phenomenal. There's an extensive whiskey selection.

This is a rare low-ish review from me. Food was just so-so. Wings (special for the time?) were very tasty. Kids meals were disappointing. Chicken melt was cold. The other; Two chicken fingers left something to be desired. The sandwich (pictured) was good, but very runny. Probably won’t be returning for what this meal cost.

Such a great place, bartender had a stache and was super attentive and great with the drinks. Wish I had remembered his name. Got the biscuits and gravy, which was delicious. And the duck wings which were good. The drink we originally ordered he had said maybe try this other and It was great. Good job. Great food, great service.

Food was delicious. Brussel sprouts are a must (large shareable serving) and the rotisserie chicken was good (large shareable serving - especially if both people dont plan on eating a lot). Tender, juicy. The fresh juices are worth a try, albeit go light on the ice or plan to order more than one. For the price you don't get much juice...2 slurps and it was gone. Delicious but a small enough serving for a high enough price that I didn't order another.

  • 5/5 Jessica J. 1 year ago on Google
If you love lots of flavor, this is the place! The flash-fried Brussels sprouts were so flavorful and delicious! The Whiskey Cake is amazing even for those who aren’t into desserts. It’s a sweet, delicious mix of flavors but not overly rich. I was impressed with their red wine selection since their specialty is whiskey drinks. The environment is perfect for both a date night or a large group of friends. Great service too!

All around excellent experience!! If you go you absolutely have to get the Whiskey Cake!! Hands down, the best cake I have ever had, I need a location near me in Connecticut! The rest of the dishes were also phenomenal! Nothing crazy complicated but I appreciate when a restaurant can provide simple dishes, made very well! Because at the end of the day, I just want it to taste good!

We went to Whiskey Cake to celebrate a birthday. We picked Whiskey Cake because we had heard a lot of great things about the restaurant and they have a huge selection of whiskeys. The food was everything it was hyped up to be and more. Everything from the appetizers to dessert tasted amazing! We started with the chicken meatballs and the butter board, I highly recommend both of them. For our main dish I had the pork chops and they were easily the best pork chops I have had in years.

Review: I visited this restaurant in October, 2023. I had the lemongrass shrimp & noodle and the chicken and waffle for dinner. The lemongrass shrimp & noodle was great. The shrimp were big and the arugula, cabbage, snap peas, corn, vine ripe tomatoes, and radish were all very fresh and tasted amazing. The noodles were al dente - cooked to perfection and were a nice addition to this salad. The chicken and waffle was delicious. At first appearance I was thinking how is this worth $22?? But as I dug in I realized that the house made chicken and malted waffle were of gourmet quality. The sunny up eggs and house country gravy were a nice compliment to this dish. For dessert I of course went their famous whiskey cake. This sticky toffee cake comes with bourbon anglaise, spiced pecans, and a house made vanilla whipped cream. I had very high expectations for this dessert beforehand and am very happy to say that it did not disappoint. It was a little rich though, I couldn’t finish it all in one sitting but made sure to pack it for the next day. The design and vibe of the restaurant is comfortable/casual and would be a great place to take a date. Whiskey Cake offers something different from the other restaurants in the International Plaza in terms of the vibe and overall approach to the dining experience which was really nice. They play nice music too. This place overall is a must visit in Tampa. Overall I would rate 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Really great food and service! I love that this could be a date spot or a place where we can bring our toddler. They have cute little kid tray/plates and we’re great at accommodating us. Want to try their old fashions next time since they have like 4 or 5 versions!

Loved the relaxed atmosphere. Delicious food! Friendly service! We ate our appetizers so fast that I forgot to get a picture! Try the goat cheese fondue and the roasted brussel sprouts! They're delicious! We also tried the chicken and spinach salad and the chicken & waffle with egg! The whisky cake for dessert was amazing! Great drinks too! We'll be back!

Really delicious but of course the whiskey cake stole the show. Even if you're not a cake person you will adore this dessert. It's not overly sweet and every accompaniment made for the perfect bite.

The candied bacon is crazy and some of the best deviled ages I've ever had. Always great service. Educated bartenders that make excellent craft cocktails. Very cool ambiance and decor. Big space so you don't feel crowded.

Popped into the mall with a friend last minute and needed a late dinner. We have been here before and have always had a consistent and positive experience. We started with the Goat Cheese Fondue, which is sooooo yummy! The lemon zest gives it that little extra something! For entrees, we had the OG OMG burger and the Chicken & Cheese melt, both with fries and quite lovely. They serve a ketchup with their fries that has mustard seed in it. It's wonderful. We finished with the whiskey cake. I also tried the Left Hook Lucy off the cocktail menu and highly recommend!

It was good, but didn't live up to the hype I had heard. I LOVED the fried green tomatoes. Everything else was good. It was fresh, warm, etc. It was just average to me, like it lacked seasoning. Our server didn't bring us a refill on our drinks the entire time and smelled like Marijuana. I mean her breath, not her body or clothes. It wasn't busy either, or I would understand. She was on her phone talking to other servers. It had a cool atmosphere with the plants and the industrial vibe. For the price of everything, I expected slightly more. I doubt I would go back, and I don't think I would recommend it.

  • 4/5 Darian S. 1 year ago on Google
The food is amazing and unique. I love farm to table restaurants. The service was as amazing as the food. I visited during the weekend with a couple of friends and split two appetizers and a dessert. The whiskey cake was big enough to share with three people. I will definitely be back!

  • 5/5 Dan M. 1 year ago on Google
Okay so we didn't have any food here but we had drinks and sat at the bar and I've got to give it a five-star review because of the service and the atmosphere. I can't comment on the food but people to the left and right of me both had some food. One lady had the candied bacon and honestly I could smell it and it was spectacular. The lady trying it said it was excellent so I will make it a point to come back here. On a side note our waitress at the bar named Lucy did a spectacular job so hopefully her management sees this and recognizes her we will definitely be back to this place.

What a pleasant surprise. This place will exceed your expectations. The service was phenomenal, the food was delicious, overall a great experience and I would recommend it to anybody that happens to be in the area. I had the ribeye, which was perfectly cooked, and the sticky toffee cake. Both were way better than I expected, and don't miss out on the homemade vanilla whipped cream with the cake.. it takes it to a whole new level.

Me and a friend stopped here for brunch on the way to the airport. After a terrible experience with the hostess, waitress Dana saved the day! Thanks for the hospitality, attentiveness and just being an overall awesome person! Our mimosas were great bad so was the ribeye. Will definitely be returning 💜

Third time here and came with friends. I ordered the beef and quinoa salad which was nice portion and delicious. The beet me juice cocktail was delicious, not too sweet which is perfect for me. Their BBQ duck wings are a must as appetizer! It was very busy and noisy, overall a good experience!

  • 2/5 Linda J. 2 years ago on Google
Ambiance of restaurant was nice, drinks were really good. I'd recommend this place for drinks, definitely not the food. Service was good, only bad part was apps and main entrees came out back to back, so I assume everything was submitted at once. The burger wasn't anything special, just looked massive. Chicken sandwich was very dry, chicken was overcooked. Fish was also overcooked, super dry. Mussels were old/bad, we had to send the mussels back. Overall the food was bland (needed seasoning) and overcooked.

This place always has really great drinks and food wether your looking for a bomb hangover brunch or a rustic dinner. You can never go wiring with a smoked old fashioned by Brandon H.

Fantastic scotch/whiskey selection and the flight list was fun. Food took a bit longer than expected, but it was really good. We had short ribs, a fish, and the chicken sandwich. Only dings are the sandwich wasn't very spicy and the fries needed salt.

  • 5/5 Andrea J. 2 years ago on Google
Wow! I was very impressed with this restaurant. When I entered, the restaurant was nicely dimly lit and the vibe of the restaurant was very relaxing and inviting. I started with a figgy smalls gin cocktail. I love a good gin cocktail, and this place surely did not disappoint. This drink was made with Amsterdam gin, a touch of cinnamon with subtle fruit notes. It was so good that I ordered 2. I ordered the Thai BBQ duck wings as my appetizer. Now these were incredibly yummy. The duck wings were tender with a crispy skin. The sauce was sweet yet also had a bit of a spice. It was a very good balance. I then had the whisky braised short rib as my main. This was so delicious. The short rib was incredibly tender, not tough at all. It laid effortlessly on a bed of horseradish potatoes, tender roasted carrots, and sweet pearl onions. This was my first time having horseradish potatoes, so I was a bit unsure if I would like them. But, wow! I’m so glad I tried this. No regrets. I ended the meal with dessert. I, of course, ordered the whiskey cake. Y’all have to order this if y’all visit this restaurant! It’s a sticky toffee cake with a bourbon anglaise spiced pecans. This cake was so decadent, moist, and it’s served warm. My tastebuds were having a party at this point in the meal. And they serve this delicious cake with house made vanilla whipped cream! Wow! It was so thick and buttery. I’m salivating just thinking about this whipped cream! I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are at the International Plaza, check this place out. It’s worth it. I went around 12pm on a Saturday, there was no wait. But maybe around 2pm it starts to get busy. So be mindful of that. I’ll definitely be back. The food, drinks, and the service was amazing. My server was very attentive and nice. Y’all need to check this place out. Y’all will not regret it.
