We visited in March and there was obviously a shortage of (good) staff; we were not very hopeful of a good experience after the hostess rolled her eyes when we agreed to wait the 55 minutes she quoted for a table! But, despite that, we were pleasantly surprised in the end. A waterfront location with a good amount of seating along the deck makes them an immediate draw; add to that a view of the fish swimming around the lights below after sunset, and everybody is happy. We also enjoyed the 'house cats' that they let walk between the tables (though I suppose that could be a problem for some). We ordered the tuna nachos starter - great presentation, OK flavor, though maybe a little over priced for what was delivered? Then the grilled grouper sandwich and fries were both very good and reasonably priced; and a poke bowl which was excellent quality, though the additions were a little limited. This was all accompanied by a wide drink selection with several decent beers on tap. Overall, a solid dinner experience, in a good location with good service (after the initial greeting) and we will be happy to go back again and try more of the menu .

First time trying Hula Bay Club and was pretty impressed. The fried snapper with pineapple chutney on top was amazingly delicious ! Paired well with coconut Jasmine rice and a fresh lime. The ceviche was excellent and paired with house made chips which were to die for. We also had the coconut shrimp and fajita steak tacos which were enjoyed. Dynamite oysters weren’t so great. Service was great and ambience was beautiful. Will return again!

Food was Great! We started off with some Conch Fritters and those was really amazing!!! Loved the Fried Shrimp. We did outside seating on the deck, Hula Bay has such a Beautiful view and lovely scenery of the water and boats. Service was great as well.

Great atmosphere and great food. Nice views. Dog friendly outdoor deck and bar. Try Dukes seafood platter, with a side of grilled asparagus. Excellent desserts too.

Unfortunately this could’ve been a better experience for if our waitress was more tentative! Host gets 5 Stars!!!! Bartender needs to be consistent with making drinks My wife’s Margarita was super strong My both my drinks were watery, returned the first one drunk the 2nd one! My wife order Mussels and it was mushy! Our Caesar salad was dry! For entrée we ordered their pork chop which was surprisingly good we had more than usual fat! Asparagus was good, their fried rice was SUPER DELICIOUS, but it wasn’t enough so we waited for the untentative waitress to come back before we finished our pork chops but by the time she came back we only had bones! Now we order some rice to go and it came super COLD! Who gives rice SUPER COLD! So before leaving I ask for Fresh Rice but all they did was put it the microwave! This was highly recommended but it wasn’t good! Customer Service should be at the Top of everyone mind especially in the restaurant world! How long will it take for restaurant that we have turn a new leaf after the pandemic! I wish this restaurant all the blessings but if waitress like Johanna continues to serves customers like that they will not return like me! Vacation 2022

Gorgeous view, delicious food. My husband had their sushi; it was fantastic! I had their blackened grouper and it was the best I have had! It was covered in scallops and shrimp, oh my! Great service, delicious FRESH FRUIT mojitos. Will 100% be back! It is a great place to take out-of-state family and friend visitors. Yum, Yum, yum!

My husband and I just had lunch here today. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to my friends. Our servers Chris and Jon were attentive and friendly. The service was wonderful. Our food was absolutely delicious and we had a great view of the water on the outdoor deck.

Best Poke Bowl I've ever had! Great location overlooking the water. Lots of outdoor seating. Highest quality kids meals we've had in a long time. They actually cut fresh mango and orange slices. It's the little touches like that that stand out. The manager was great...she went out of her way to find us a table quickly as she could tell we had hungry kids. It was a nice touch that made the experience a little extra special. Can't wait to visit again!

Very nice, newer restaurant right on the water. Food, service, & restaurant was great. The views were awesome. Definitely would go back. Be aware it is out in an industrial part of town kind of tucked back in a little nook. Other than that there isn't much around for a mile or so, other than train tracks & industrial plants.

I always love to come here. It's very nice and the atmosphere is amazing. My visit last night was pretty good other than we had a very nasty table and couldn't find a server anywhere to help us with the Cleaning of the table. So we had to do it ourselves. It took the server almost 30 minutes to acknowledge that we were here dining. Once it came I tried to see if he could bring us a clean towel so we could wash the table but he didn't return until 20 minutes later. To ask us if we want wanted to order drinks never once did he clean the table. The food was very good other than it took us forever to get it. Overall it was a nice. Will return with me and my family.

The Atmosphere was really lively. There was a cool band playling music from the 80's - present. The Huli Chicken and pork were good. We also had a couple of Musabis. The drinks were excellent. Jameson Orange and Blue Curacao. It was a good night.

Hula Bay and Dukes on the Tampa Bay waterfront. Just a short drive from St Pete. We love the waterfront atmosphere and watching the boats and occasional dolphins. Always friendly people there, we tend to sit at the bar to eat and have a great time. They have a happy hour from 4-7 even on Fridays with great drink and food specials. It does get busy at times so sometimes you may have to wait a little for service but usually not long. The food is all good but I would like to see some more choices and the regular menu is just a little expensive..

There was a nice view from the restaurant. Service was not great for prices they charge. Our waitress was not really a people person, our server was standard. Food was good but overpriced. I didn’t like their sushi. Their drinks were small and just ok.

Fun, waterside restaurant on the bay. While the views are nice and relaxing, the cocktails and food brings things to life. I enjoyed the BBQ ribs with grilled pineapple, fried rice and mashed sweet potatoes. My friends had other entrees which they enjoyed as well The outdoor dining area is well equipped with fans to keep the air moving. The service was excellent and our cups we’re constantly filled with water, cocktails or both Prices are moderate for this restaurant

Absolutely amazing !!!! 10/10 Best service, shout out Enricue!!!! Great server, the food was amazing, super dog friendly (our pup loved it) and the atmosphere was fantastic! We ordered 6 sushi rolls (all delicious), crab dip (100/100), drinks were great, fish & chips were perfect! Overall, this place is IT!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Hula Bay did not disappoint. I just searched water front restaurants and this placed popped up. Everything we ordered was so good. The mahi mahi sliders (get blackened. Highly recommend) were perfect. The noodle bowl with shrimp…10/10. The broth had this sweet flavor and they give a good amount of shrimp for the price. You should come during the brunch hour because it’s not busy and you get to see all the boats line up on the dock. I’m sad they didn’t do brunch which is why we came but I will be coming back, for sure.

Amber at the bar was great. Thank you for serving drinks in actual glass versus plastic. More places, especially on the water, should follow this sustainable practice.

Great spot for lunch on the water. They have a diverse menu with everything from seafood, sushi and hamburgers. The food is fresh and tasty. Service was great and the ambience really feels like Florida.

We had the BEST server yesterday! Nat was amazing and gave great recommendations on the menu. The food was delicious (HIGHLY recommend the fish tacos and the dynamite dip) and she even was able to get me a nonalc beverage not on the menu for me. The utensils and glasses were very clean, as was the restroom. To top off the amazing experience, we saw dolphins off the deck as we were eating. Shout out to the amazing valet guy as well! We will be back when we are back in town!

Ok this one was difficult to rate. It's a great location to pull up and dock in the boat for sure. The general atmosphere on the water is great, but nearly every stool was so worn out and wobbly it was a bit uncomfortable. The food was great and the service was alright. A bit of a hit and miss in my opinion. Will definitely be back though.

Good view on water. Decent menu. Staff a bit overwhelmed resulting in slow service at times Menu has Hawaiian fare so not for everyone but plenty of other food options available to keep you happy. Parking in their lot...sucks. The adjacent marina has captured several spots by parking boats on trailers. Bah humbug on that. Be prepared to park street side and walk a bit. Valet parking is available. Pet friendly outside. Cat friendly too. 🐱Indoor seating available. All in all...a decent restaurant to stop in and try.

Really cool place with nice atmosphere and super nice service. On the negative side….unsanitary as HELL!!! They allow animals in dining areas and don’t clean up after them. I gagged when I saw all the dog hair on my table. Other people feeding table scraps to cats and then they came begging at my table. Horrible and NASTY. I won’t be back.

Michael M. was our server. I have several food allergies and he made sure to consult with the chefs to make sure my meal was perfect. Which of course it was. Whenever we are in the area this is our to go for dining.

Such a nice place! We enjoyed the bar while waiting for table. Then we sat outside with a wonderful view of the bay and boats. We were there at night and they have submerged green lights to attract fish so we got a show. Our drinks were made perfect and super tasty. The food was great and our server was very good and helpful in our decision process on food as it was our 1st time visiting. Nice work team, we will be back for sure!

Perfectly cooked pork chops and the flavor was excellent. I might just be biased , I love teriyaki. I had the classic margarita which fell a little flat for me . But the Hula Bay Hurricane was delicious. I should've gotten the sushi because my friend who worked there said it was the best. I'll definitely try it next time !

I went there on September 12 for my birthday, and our server was Dave. He was awesome. They brought me an amazing birthday dessert big enough that all three of us shared it. The food and drinks were wonderful as well. I love Hula Bay and go there as often as I can from St Petersburg. It’s a pretty easy shot across the Gandy. We didn’t get them that day, but I highly recommend the pork chops, they are amazing. We did appetizers and drinks.

Always love going here. The atmosphere, staff, and service are great. The mussels were delicious and a very good-sized serving. Top that off with a sangria for the perfect meal

We sat at the bar and Salica took great care of us. The citrus salad is awesome! The volcano chicken sandwich is also amazing and huge! Eaten here many times and always great food.

We got here around 12;30 on a Saturday and did not wait to be seated. Our waitress was nice and checked on us constantly. We got dynamite seafood dip with wanton chips and that was our favorite dish. We also got the ceviche which was good and the fish and chips. We will definitely come back.

Food was really great and the view is quite nice, sat on the porch over looking the bay. Server was very nice would have given 5 stars if the food came bit faster, not enough staff to make 2 drinks, took 10 minutes, and the food was even slower, I asked and the server was even wondering what was taking so long.

Uhh basically expected good wings but got some giant dinosaur arms instead practically the size of my arms. Waitress made me clean the table for her and hand her everything off of the table like I’m working there. She also was a little snarky when asked about certain items on the menu, however I continued to eat and burger I ordered after the wings was good. Was not accommodated for not liking the wings instead was told well yeah you got them without the sauce(I asked her if they had seasoning on them without the sauce regardless and she said yes. If I was told other-wise I wouldn’t of bothered with them)

All thee way from Indiana at Hula Bay, very beautiful place to eat by the bay & have an awesome experience! The service A+, Cam was so nice his aura was everything, good personality and services! Thee food is slappin, I had Island Shrimp dinner & my son had a kids meal! More than enough with the serving hefty side as well! I’m more than thankful for this first meal in Tampa Thanks Cam & Thanks Hula Bay🌴 and they had a picture prop too….🍤🍱💪🏽 let me say the drinks ain’t for thee weak either! Babeeeee 🍹
