This place is impressive, and less than a year old. It's hard to find a hotel in a prime downtown location that isn't dated in some respects... And usually you trade off a prime location, for a vintage hotel experience(smaller rooms, climate control, noise). From what I heard, they converted a parking deck into a hotel, and the ease of access to the pool, gym, working and the street level is just so well thought out... Kudos to the architect. I love how the pool deck overlooks the skyline and the social outdoor area (a great place and have a quiet meal with friends might I say). Over the years I dislike older high story hotels, especially on how long it take you to get in and out of the top floors from ground level, but at this place you can access the parking deck from multiple levels and the elevators are just so fast to the top floors. Did I mention parking, there is plenty, and you can in and out of the building in less than 5 minutes. As for the rooms, excellent sized and a great view all around, the staff are friendly, and breakfast was appropriate for the venue. But what you value the most is location, everything from the stadium, art museum, and river walk are just a short walk away. You will have a pleasant relaxing stay.

Hotel was wonderful, great breakfast, amenities and the location is just perfect! The worse part of my stay was the front desk staff and poor management. We were charged double for our stay (including the deposit) This being a total of over $1000 deducted from my account for a two day stay. When mentioned to the front desk staff they had no knowledge in regards to the charge. We were met with terrible manners and explanation for the mistake they had made. And, no apology or recompensation. This was absolutely unprofessional and made what would have been an amazing say at the Hyatt, some kind of a nightmare. I will not be staying at this hotel. If you do not mind poor customer service and professionalism this is your place!

Wedding weekend was hot and not in a good way! Started off with the valet company wrecking my father’s rental van (or primary transportation for our out of state family) and then the manager just saying “we’re responsible” but then ghosting us and not emailing or contacting, where my dad is now out $1,000 in deductibles and insurance claims. Then getting told that “our ac units in the rooms aren’t built to go below 70 degrees”. Then being charged for a third room when I only booked 2 rooms (because if they send you an email to check in online- don’t do it!!!! It charges you for a second room!) They say they’ll refund you but then you don’t get the refund and the managers both sales and reservation managers just stop talking to you. They say “our email system is only for ‘confidential’ emails and we are unable to speak about a guest’s stay with them via email (a little sketchy if you ask me, it’s cause they don’t want a paper trail.) If you have family coming for your wedding from out of town, don’t do the “complimentary” block, sheesh any kind of block with the Hyatt. They say they’ll “accommodate” you and then nothing happens after that. They say it just loud enough so other guests can hear them being the “good guys”. It’s a joke. Don’t do it.

I arrived and found that the room that I had booked months in advance had been given away. Apparently a Republican Convention was taking place and someone requested a larger room. So they decided it was okay to give my room away. After working all day and catching a late flight to attend my brother's wedding. I ended up staying in a smaller room that was half the price, but never received any compensation, nor even a refund for the difference in cost. It has been 4 months and I have not seen a cent back for a return on payment. On top of this, I did not know I was given the wrong room until I arrived upstairs, and upon returning to the front desk, it was treated as if it was already known to them that my room was given away. I was asked to accept the situation in return for a 20% discount on drinks at the bar. So not only was my room given away, and my money taken, I was asked to pay more money to the hotel for drinks while accepting my incorrect room. Knowing that a Republican Convention can pop up and have a room taken from a paying customer at any time tells me the value that Hyatt places in their customer service. Based on how this situation was handled and has yet to be resolved, I will not now or in the near future spend my hard earned money on any services from a Hyatt hotel.

Good people beware! Reservations mean nothing at this establishment! We had booked 2 rooms for last night over a month ago. When we arrived to the hotel we were told by the manager that they had resold our rooms despite us having already paid for our rooms in full over a month ago. After substantial deliberation, they ended up putting us in another hotel over an hour away. Imagine that! Having booked, paid for and planned an entire family vacation only to have our rooms taken right out from under us and have been relocated to a completely different city. The staff was not apologetic, the manager seemed more concerned about his receding hairline than his customers. It ultimately ended up being 2 am before we got to our final hotel location and our now over an hour from downtown. Book here at your own caution

Rooms, amenities, restaurant, and bar were all decent quality. Unfortunately, the staff in this hotel let down the experience somewhat. Lots of the members of staff we dealt with were unhelpful, unfriendly, and pretty disinterested. One member of staff in particular was particularly bad. The front desk also lost a package that was sent during the stay. Housekeeping, however, were all extremely friendly. Another issue was the day the elevators stopped working, but these were fixed soon enough. These problems let down an otherwise solid property in a great location.

Room was very large and clean! My room had a kitchenette with a stove, dishes, pots, pans and silverware! As well as a dishwasher which I’ve never seen in a hotel before. The staff is very nice and accommodating. They offer hypoallergenic sheets, which was nice for me. They also made sure that my sheets were washed with dye free soap cause I’m severely allergic to fragrances and dyes. Pool is pretty and location is right in the financial district. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and it’s a short drive from Ybor City. A few things I wish they could change is that, they don’t offer room service, or dine in room service. Also the breakfast was a tad bit disappointing. I wish they had a larger selection and options for people with different diets (vegan, gluten-free, etc.) they have cheese, cold cuts and smoked salmon which is nice, however, I wish they stored it better especially the smoked salmon because it’s not safe or sanitary for it to sit out from 6:30 - 9:30 a.m. It might make someone sick. I also wish the food was higher quality at breakfast. However, on the contrary, the restaurant at the hotel is great, and the portions are VERY large. So you definitely get to your moneys worth.

This is by far the nicest Hyatt Place/House I've ever been to. The lobby looks like a super modern luxury hotel. Location is fantastic in the heart of downtown, across from the Riverwalk. Pool and gym were clean and well maintained. Only parking available is valet which was around $36 night I think. Will definitely stay again

Stayed here for 4 days towards the end of January 2022. We booked online 2 months in advance and our confirmation email confirms we selected "Pay Now!" We used a business credit card due to it being business related. When we arrived, we didn't have the same business credit card that we used to pay for the trip. However, we were reassured by the front desk the card provided for incidentals would only be used for incidentals if there were any to occur. Sure enough, two days after checking out, our personal credit card was charged for the entirety of the stay. I called 3 times within a span of a week to get this fixed. The first two times I was told a manager would call me back, which never happened. The last time I was placed on hold for so long I had to eventually hang up. Fortunately, this was a huge issue because my company can just write me a check to cover the charge but for some customers, it isn't always that simple. I get that mistakes happen but in this case correcting the issue was never my mistake to fix and it wasn't a priority of this hotel staff. Aside from this, these rooms are very spacious and clean. Our stay was great. The parking was great. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. That is the only reason I gave 2 stars opposed to 0 or 1.

Very clean. The hotel seemed to have been renovated. Our room had new carpet smell and the closet was brand new. The room was very spacious. The breakfast had lots of options. I could walk to restaurants and the convention center. Valet parking was super easy. Very happy with our stay. We will be back for Gasprilla.

From now on this will be the hotel I will stay at whenever we are in Tampa. I had a wonderful experience, the hotel was beautiful and clean. I stayed in the one-bedroom kitchen suite and the room was clean and spacious. The front desk folks were extremely helpful and quick when I had a request. Definitely will stay here again.

Better for smaller groups, couples, or individuals. Would not recommend staying here if you're a large group. I stayed in a room with four people, but we only got a single bed and a couch bed. My main stickler was that there weren't enough towels, and then when we got four, they only replaced it with three. That was frustrating.

Stayed here while taking my bar exam in Tampa. The service was great. Didn’t love how they only had valet parking (that also costs 36$ a day). The service was nice and got us checked in quick, even a few hours earlier. The WiFi wasn’t amazing but it did it’s thing. The absolute BEST part about this place it’s the breakfast. I mean holy cow, they got it all. So much bacon, all kinds of baked goods, a grits bar. It was just all so tasty. Location wise, it is perfect. I was walking distance to the convention center. I will warn, there are not a ton of food place that stay open immediately near by. Maybe it was because it was the weekday, but so many places were closed or just opened for lunch. We got Chinese takeout, the only thing opened, a block a way which honestly hit the spot so I’m not complaining. The rooms are alright. I wish they gave thicker blankets instead of thin sheets and a thin quilt. I was freezing even after turning the air down. Plus it didn’t help that there was no vent in the bathroom so steam got everywhere.

It was nice. Restaurant I feel was over priced and not much to offer if you have a picky eater. Morning breakfast was incredible so many options to choose from. Rooms were clean however two of the pillow cases in my room had stains on them and the extra blanket did as well. I think paying so much a night for a hotel your bed linens would be perfect. Bed was very comfortable. It was a nice stay everyone was very friendly. Valet guys were awesome.

Super awesome view of downtown Tampa. City View Studio with kitchen Suite. One king bed and sleeper sofa. Room is a corner king with expansive views. Has a 2 burner stove top, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker and small fridge. Quick and easy check in process using World of Hyatt app. Must use room key to access your floor via the Elevator. Parking is done through use of valet.

It’s modern! We got here at 1 AM from a long flight. The two ladies who were at the front desk worked hard and got us a room as fast as they could. They were supportive. The pool’s water was warm. Nice views of the city hall if you get a view.

Great customer service, feels like it could be easily converted to a 4 star hotel I'm guessing making it a 2-star establishment is what made the most business sense. Loved everything from our room to the breakfast buffet, nice bar, no suggestions on how to improve it. Best 2 star hotel I ever stayed in. I enjoyed my stay here more than my 2 previous 4-star hotel stays in fact 2 months ago I spent $1,450 for one night ( including two massages 1 dinner and I breakfast) and the food was nowhere near as good as it was in this hotel. I had to remind myself that this was a 2-star class hotel.

There was a lot to like about this hotel, but there were quite a few issues too that I hope management is able to rectify. The pros were, our room was spacious and clean and modern. Beds were super comfy and the TV had a crystal clear HD screen. The complimentary breakfast had an elaborate spread, but the "hot" items like eggs and bacon were cold. Coffee was good though and the juices were fresh. Staff was friendly more or less. Location was great as many attractions we wanted to see were in walking distance. Now the cons-we requested a king size bed, but when we checked in we were told they didn't have any rooms with king size beds ready and we'd either have to wait several hours for our room to be ready, or settle for a room with two double beds. We chose the double beds because we were exhausted and wanted to check in and relax. Very disappointing. The pool area was situated in a weird place. We did not see any sunlight in the pool area for the duration of our stay. We'd get out of the pool and we'd be a shivering because the whole area was in the shade. Very curious to know why they built the pool in an area with little to no sunlight. The elevators were an adventure. You needed your room key to go up to your floor, but many times the key didn't work and we'd have to go all way up to he top, then come back down to finally reach our floor. Sometimes, the elevator would stop on each and every floor for no reason. It became a running joke with other guests each time we rode the lift. The elevator issue is something that really must be addresses ASAP. All in all, we did like this hotel and we would recommend it, but I only gave 3 stars because, to be honest, if I am paying $300 a night, I expected much more and much better.

We only stayed here for one night, but I wish it was more. The hotel was super clean and the staff was very kind and helpful, which are my two biggest pet peeves. Breakfast is included and I think it was the best free breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. There is also a really nice bar and lounge area with a full menu. The only negative, for me, was that all the food had a Mexican feel, which I don't personally like. I wish they would add a burger or something to the menu. Other than that, our short stay was very pleasant.

Two chief complaints: 1) the weak AC for my room type Spent the $10 for the room with a view. At 4pm, the room was 76 degrees F. I like it cooler, and set it to 69. But it only got hotter as the afternoon continued. 77, then 78. I figured it was the large windows and called the front desk. They sent an "engineer" who had a box fan and confirmed it's a common problem due to all the windows. He base said it is what it is. My wife and I went to dinner, and when we got back at 8:30pm it was 75 degrees. Managed to hit 71 degrees by 8 am the next morning. Never 69. 2) overloaded valet. Valet service is mandatory. That's not a big deal, nor is the $36. But their area to bring you your vehicle is so small that it's a THIRTY minute wait to get your car during busy times like dinner and monring check out. The service to text that you want your car they disable when busy, and you'll get an error message eventually. Made us late for a dinner reservation. Good stuff: nice room, tasty breakfast, (They constantly ran out of stuff but replenished it fairly quickly) kind staff. 6.75/10 for the $150-$200 price point. Probably a 8.0 if I had a different room type.

Terrible parking service. As soon as we got out of the car, they immediately demanded the keys from me, I said that I was not going to use their parking lot, but that I would only bring my suitcase, to which they told me that they would call a tow truck and drag my car away. Managers need to train their employees. If you don't have clients, you won't have a job. It was July 14 at 3 p.m.

Close to the arena - easy walk Room very clean Easy to check in, get virtual room key, and check out online Valet is $36 a night and this is the only onsite parking, but you can get your car as much as you want without additional cost. Fantastic stay!

Great location. Very close to both the airport and to Raymond James Stadium. Could walk to lots of restaurants and bars. Staff was great. Martha at the front desk was very helpful and friendly! The Manager, Tyler, was wonerful! He was able to help us out with a problem we had. Our room was clean and had lots of drawers to put our clothes. TV did not have alot of channels. Bathroom was small. No room to put your toiletries. The breakfast had good choices but the hot food for the most part was not hot. Workout room had a good selection. Nice private sitting area outside for guests. Nice Lobby Bar. We always try to stay at a Hyatt Place/House. Just be prepared to pay $36 a day for parking! Overall a great place to stay. You won't be disappointed 👍

I stayed here the weekend of Aug 26, 2023 with some friends; we were in town to see Earth, Wind, & Fire/Lionel Richie concert. There was a Bucs game and Rays game the same weekend, so the hotel was jammed, but this didn't affect the excellent service. I would like to specifically mention the valet parking team, especially Rene'. He was there when I arrived on Saturday and again when I checked out on Sunday. Terrific, attentive, efficient service, despite everyone mobbing the loop waiting on their cars. Rooms were great. Clean, comfortable. Bartender (blonde female, did not get her name) was awesome, and breakfast the next morning was plentiful, hot, fresh, and continuously replenished. Overall, a great stay at a very busy time.

This place was wonderful. Martha was soooo sweet and kind. She made me feel at home, and welcomed me with open arms. Her smile and amazing customer service and speedy service was amazing. I love this place, it is super comfy, it's got a gorgeous view, very spacious and lots to offer.

I loved everything about it was first time ever going to a hotel like this. Me and family came down for a funeral but we really enjoyed the hotel. I left my mom's phone and the lady was nice about it she wanted to make sure it was ours but I appreciate how she went about it. Thank you for a beautiful experience even though it was for a sad occasion we loved it 🙂🥰❤😍♥

  • 4/5 Rachel M. 7 months ago on Google
The room was gorgeous and very clean for a great price... however, valet parking is not fun. Although the valet workers were unbelievablely wonderful considering their work conditions at times, the hotel needs way more valet employees, especially during busy hours and weekends. Also I rented this hotel because of the outdoor swimming pool, but we couldn't even use it because they had a wedding booked there. It NEVER stated the pool would be inaccessible anywhere online when I read the fine print and everything about this place before i booked a room. Not acceptable!

First time in Tampa on business. This location is optimal. Within walking distance of excellent places to have a drink or eat. The hotel has excellent food and bar accommodations. Breakfast is complimentary and well prepared with a vast selection.

Fabulous gem in downtown, close to everything. Fabulous room with killer views floor to ceiling windows overlooking city and waterfront. Bed comfortable, great big shower and bathroom. Had kitchen and fridge with separate ice compartment. Glass wine glasses. Fantastic free breakfast, not just simple breakfast bar. Many choices, hot, tasty and fresh. Just overly impressed with entire hotel and amenities. Stayed at several other hotels in downtown but this one was the absolute best. Valet parking not overly expensive. Staff very friendly. Only suggestion is another mirror in dressing area, as bathroom has single sink, so tough for two of us to get dressed quickly.

Downfall you have to pay for parking $38 PER day. Overall though the stay was very pleasant, clean room, professional nice staff, & their breakfast was delicious, many options like biscuits & gravy (was SO good), sausage, bacon, eggs, fruit, grits, oatmeal, hash browns, bagels, cereal, french toast & etc… I definitely recommend this hotel. :-)

We are having a really nice stay here! The employees at the front desk are all very kind and helpful, valet is awesome, and the hotel is really nice! We have two young children and it’s been an easy stay with them so far. Beds are super comfy and room is very clean and comfortable. Walk in showers are nice as well. We will stay here again! :)

Easy to get to right in downtown and right off the highway. Excellent service from valet to housekeeping. Rooms were gorgeous, clean, and modern which is nice when you're paying premium. Breakfast was actually good for the hotel setup which surprised me. Definitely worth it. You can walk almost anywhere in downtown and there is plenty of food, drink, and entertainment around. If I return to Tampa I would stay here again. The one downside is it's popular so you may have to wait to drop off or pick up your car so give yourself time.

Everything you'd want in a hotel - clean, modern, quiet, no hassel online check-in and check-out. Room well lit and appointed, clean bathroom, and even a couple of coat hanging options. Great location for walking jaunts. They have valet parking at the front, always well manned even at night. Lots of shopping, food, business options around. Easy access to the waterfront walking trail.

Good location, Starbucks at entrance. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. BRING YOUR OWN WATER because they charge 4 dollars for each water bottle. Breakfast is mediocre but free. Some front desk staff need better training (they told me I had to laundry myself even though the hotel offers laundry service for a fee).

  • 5/5 Mandy S. 2 years ago on Google
loved this hotel. Staff was super nice about everything - the valet even held our car at no cost while we rushed up for a quick change for dinner. Concierge staff and bar staff too, so nice and cheerful. The design vibe is energetic and eclectic. Fun, interesting colors and textures. The layout of our mini suite had a swivel tv that could turn toward the bed or the sectional on the opposite side. Nice big kitchen island for us both to work at for a few hours. Not sure how this room was the cheapest option but I would pay extra for it next time. Will be back!

I really enjoyed my stay!! Nice location, close to many places to eat. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond. Easy check-in and check-out. Breakfast was nice. Thumbs up to the front desk Patrick and Reilly. Valet was quick and polite. I'd recommend and will be returning. Thanks for everything!

This was our first time staying at this particular location, but I'm glad we took the chance. Reilly, at the front desk, was amazing. Although, all of the staff were friendly. I had a great time staying at this hotel. My room was available as soon as I arrived. The front desk staff was nice and professional. I was not told that I had to use the hotel key to use the elevators, but a very nice housekeeping staff person told me I needed to use my key. My room was spacious and clean with a nice view. This location is great as it’s close to everything and you can use the streetcar as well. The nearest station for a street car is about two-three blocks away. The AC in the room was great! I did have to request for housekeeping by simply calling the front desk. The breakfast buffet is the best. They had waffles, bacon, potatoes, smoked salmon, fruit, oatmeal just to name a few! I made sure I caught the buffet every morning. Their happy hour is just okay. They should put cocktails on the menu for happy hour and more selection of foods on the happy hour menu. The process for checkout was smooth and fast. I can’t wait to visit this hotel again!

This hotel checked all my boxes. Clean, fast friendly check in, good breakfast selections and great location. This hotel was everything I needed it to be. The only thing I would complain about is the $33/day valet parking but that’s something I expect in downtown area of big cities. There is another parking option and I think it was about $25/day in a garage nearby. Breakfast wasn’t just waffles and cereal. They actually had, depending on the day, sausage or bacon, eggs or potatoes, lunch meat, cheeses, fruit, cereals, oatmeal different breads that you can toast as well as orange and apple juice, coffee and tea. Lots of seating areas in and outside. The rooms were nice, spacious and very clean. The bed was a little soft for my liking but comfy enough. The pool was clean with a nice vibe on the rooftop. Next time I’m in Tampa I’ll be staying here again.

The staff is so friendly. The hot water could get a little hotter and the shower pressure could be increased. Valet parking available for $33 a day. A very small outdoor pool for a hotel with 17 floors. The morning breakfast was delicious. Located downtown near some great restaurants. Rooms are nice.

Stayed here without any recommendation and we were so pleasantly surprised! Our level of service was much higher than we expected, from calling ahead to see if our request for early check in could be accommodated to the valet and the service he provided to the front desk staff that happily helped us and to the lovely room we walked into. Conveniently located right downtown our walk to the Amalie center was fast and safe.. and our walk home was great with many people heading our way. Bed was comfy, temperature regulated and loved having a sitting area as well to have coffee and relax. View was downtown.. which we like as well. Just had a wonderful time. Breakfast in the morning was hot and plentiful with lots of options. Valet was super busy but we got our car quickly and just loved our short stay. We did have a sink that stopped up.. which they offered to fix asap. We were checking out so there was no rush on our part. Will absolutely stay here again! Our overnight stay was 6/29/2023. Bravo to the crew that night!

My room was very nice, very clean. I wanted to give more stars because of the valet but the front desk service I received left a lot to desire. The valet gave superb customer service he could teach the front desk a few things but overall my stay was ok. I was charged for a night I couldn't make it because I was driving alone and worked late. I called and advised that I would not make it I was told the hotel could waive the charge but was told by the female manager that it couldn't be done because then the hotel would be charged for waiving my charge?? I guess I look gullible. What happened to businesses honoring what they tell you. If you stay here and have to cancel make sure you get it in writing. It was noted on reservation that I called and everything but still wasn't honored.

This hotel is so gorgeous. The customer service is great. Everything is so clean & pristine. The rooms are big & spacious. The pool is an infinity pool that's heated. It's open from 9am-10pm. There's also a nice & spacious seating area down below from the pool & you get some nice views of the city. Definitely want to stay here again in the future.

We had reservations for a different hotel that was within walking distance to the football stadium. When we arrived, the place was terrible. We got on-line and found that the Hyatt had 3 rooms available for us. I am so happy that we made this change. We had a great experience. And the gentleman, Donald, at the front desk in the evening was awesome. He went out of his way to find me a spoon (a real one). Seems like a small thing but it's the little things that make a difference.

All is well except for the rude housekeeper. Room was spacious and clean, valet expensive but fast and efficient, front desk staff welcoming. But the housekeeper (for room #1003) was beyond rude and unreasonable. She was angry that we interrupted her work flow by coming back to the room in the middle of the day. We wanted to rest and regroup for half an hour and she was furious. Banged on the door, started cleaning the bathroom before we could leave and refused to acknowledge us, Hospitality ?????

Very nice hotel.Clean. Water pressure in the shower was low making it difficult to wash and rinse hair. Breakfast buffet was stellar. Very nice. Had difficulty with the fact that the room had no microwave.

We come to Tampa continuously through the year our first time at this location. Excellent excellent location. Soner was incredible at the front desk as was Santiago, Raymond Majors and Rene at valet! Our room was actually perfect! Enjoyed our stay and coming back next month!!

Came from out of town for hospital appointment and everyone was wonderful. Room was very clean and beautiful. Great free breakfast also. Wonderful dinner from their restaurant. Will definitely go back for next appointment.

Such a good location, close to everything. Rooms are pristine. The water pressure in the shower is amazing. The beds are like clouds and the black-out blinds are actually black out. Checked in after the Taylor Swift concert and my mom and I were tired and sweaty after standing for 3 hours at Raymond James. This place was the perfect place to rest our heads after a long evening. Breakfast was delicious.

This hotel was amazing!!! The decor is so chic. The rooms are spacious and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The view from our room was breathtaking! I can’t say enough great things about our stay!! Will recommend this to friends or family that are visiting the Tampa Bay area and will definitely be staying here again!
