Fast and friendly service. A big list of sandwiches and specials. I got the Cuban sandwich and it's great. The sandwich itself is more than enough to fill me up.

Don't be tricked by the high rating like I was. I saw the photos of the food, and the review about the fried rice, and thought that looks AND sounds bad. But I thought 4.8 stars so I should give it a try. I felt totally cheated. With so many Hispanic food places nearby, I can't believe this place is open. But I guess they have captive diners, people who work in the building. LOCATION. It's a cafeteria inside a business building. Google Maps did not give good directions. FOOD. The review about the fried rice did not prepare me for how bad it looks. I had much better looking and tasting fried rice from Trader Joe's. The pork looks very dry and lifeless in the pan but I gave it a try anyway. Who knows maybe it tastes better than it looks. Nope. This was at 11 a.m. so the food shouldn't look and taste like that. SERVICE. There's barely anyone in the dining area but it took awhile to get service. It was a good thing I wasn't in a hurry. But they were nice. PRICE. $8/meal + $3/fountain drink. So I guess the place has low price going for it.

I work across the street and have been here dozens of times. This place is fantastic. The coffee is delicious and the food is better. They have a hot bar with pork, rice, beans, and a few other options. I can eat that every day, but they also have a huge sandwich and breakfast menu. Tried the Palomilla steak sandwich (pictured) today and my body smiled. Love love love this place.

This place is a fantastic, authentic cafe. Everything is delicious. We enjoyed a chicken platter with beans and rice, a sandwich that was made Cuban-style with their slow roasted pulled pork, garbanzo bean soup, and cookies. Everything is made in house, daily and the proof is in the taste. If you're looking for a tasty, quick lunch, this is the spot.

I stopped here for lunch since i was working in the area and it had great reviews on google maps. I had a coffee, slice of pizza ( homemade pizza was the specialty for the day) and a turkey sandwich. The turkey sandwich was scrumptious and the ratio of ingredients to the meat and bread was perfection. It was one of those sandwich that you want to eat more as soon as you finish it. The restaurant was super clean and can accommodate quite a lot of people. Another item on the menu which i heard is the star of the show is the Cuban sandwich. I have not tried it but i will definitely try it out when i am in the area. This place is definitely a hidden gem and i will love everything about it.

Holy Cuban sandwich! I was not expecting such a massive sandwich but it was delicious. I order side of yellow rice- wasn’t a fan. But I’m glad I tried both items.

My husband and I love eating here! It’s hands down the most authentic Cuban cuisine in Tampa. My husband is Cuban and he highly approves! The staff is wonderful and very friendly and accommodating. Good prices too. All around a great experience every visit!

We stayed at the Hilton Westshore and walked to Papi's for breakfast or coffee each morning. Prices are amazing. Cafe con leche is fantastic. Portion sizes are very large. It's inside an office building lobby so not visible from the street. Go inside and it's just on the left.

My party of 5 and I thoroughly enjoyed Papi’s Cafe for lunch. We needed a spot close to the airport because we had a flight leaving in the afternoon. What an easy spot to find and get a bite to eat! We arrived a little before the real lunch rush, around 11:30am. We tried the arroz congri, arroz amarillo, chicken, beef stew, sweet plantains, green beans, summer squash medley, and collard greens soup. Everything was spectacular. Their pork dish of the day also looked phenomenal, and I don’t even eat pork! Everything was very well-priced as well. If you are looking for a homestyle Cuban meal, this is the place to go.

Papi's Cafe is a family-owned cafe that has killer breakfast and lunch options. They're a hidden gem inside the first floor of the Florida Blue Tower. The food here is delicious - Alex the owner is a great chef and cook. Everything he makes is tasty and delicious. You can tell he puts his heart and time into his dishes. Alex's Cuban Sandwich is hands down in my top 5 list of Cuban sandwiches. Big portion, mighty sandwich, and always prepared perfectly. You can also customize it your way. The Cuban Breakfast Sandwich is also delicious and one of my favorites. It's pretty much a bacon, egg, and cheese on Cuban bread but you can also customize it your way. Extremely delicious. For lunch they switch it up everyday and have different Cuban dishes out every day. Everything here is extremely delicious. If you're landing in TPA and want to get something local and Cuban this is your spot. Much better than La Teresita Restaurant - seriously.

Great location, close to the airport. I enjoyed a great lunch while waiting for a family member at the airport. Fresh food at a very affordable price. Really nice place on the first floor of a nice building, easy access and plenty of parking. I will be back for more 😀

Breakfast burrito was outstanding! Bacon was cooked to perfection! Putting potato salad on a burrito was interesting but gave it an amazing flavor! Will come back when I am in Tampa again!

Fantastic food! We order at least once a week takeout from here. Always ask what they suggest. They have both breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

super lowkey spot, and I wasn’t prepared for how good our congri, croquettas and sandwich were. Friendly service and delicious food!

Alex is an amazing chef. All his food is absolutely delicious. I recently called him to get his famous Paella Campesina for a family gathering (he was the best in Miami) only to find out he is now in Tampa. I cried, it is our loss, but definitely a gain to the Tampa community. I will be traveling to Tampa just to eat his paella again 😂.

Absolutely one of the best Cuban sandwiches I've had! Coffee was great as well. But the sandwiche got me hooked so much so that if I'm in the area , I'm eating here! Little tricky to find but it is in an office building. Follow Google maps and it'll take you to an awesome Cuban sandwiche shop !

This place is fantastic! Employees are very friendly and welcoming and the food is homemade and delicious. I'm staying at a hotel nearby, don't waste your time getting an Uber or shuttle to take it to some expensive chain place around here, you will eat here and be filled up for less than $10!!!

  • 5/5 Tacha C. 2 years ago on Google
We really enjoyed the food and service here. It’s located inside the Florida Blue Tower so you’ll want to look for that. The food was made to order so everything was fresh. Definitely worth checking out.
