(Translated by Google) Gharbia governorate, especially the city of Tanta, is characterized by many attractions And tourist places, whether religious, archaeological or commercial, which many citizens demand to pay attention to them and maximize their resources to be a source of increasing the governorate's income and an important economic resource At the forefront of these places is the Al-Sayyid Al-Badawi Mosque, where the shrine of Al-Sayyid Al-Badawi is an architectural masterpiece and an archaeological value with its engineering, decorations, woodwork, and calligraphy paintings spread on its pulpit, mihrab, windows, doors, walls and domes. Approximately two million visitors visit this mosque at the Mawlid, which is held twice a year, in addition to weekly visits, as 67 Sufi orders are celebrated at the birth of the mosque from all parts of Egypt and the countries of the Islamic world, and it is held in mid-October of each year for a week, and another celebration is held, known as the Rugby Mawlid. The first half of April of each year, and for a week as well This importance is due to the fact that the great Sufi pole, Ahmed Al-Badawi, Sheikh of the Ahmadiyya Order and one of the four poles of the state among the Sufis of the Sunnis and the community, had chosen Tanta as his place of residence, and after his death on August 24, 1276 at the age of 79 years, his student Abdel-Aal succeeded him, and built his mosque It was in the beginning in the form of a large retreat next to the grave Then the seclusion became a corner for the murids Then he built your great Ali The ruler of Egypt in the time of the Mamelukes was the mosque, domes and copper shrine around the mausoleum Endowments gave him an endowment for spending on the mosque, which has become one of the largest mosques in Egypt With an estimated area of 6300 meters. It is square in shape with a large courtyard surrounded by arcades on all sides and the courtyard is covered by a high dome, and on the western side of the mosque is the tomb of the master al-Badawi The mosque also includes a group of his possessions, including his rosary, which is ten meters long and contains a thousand beads And it was made of agarwood and amber, and it smells like musk, as well as his turban, mask and wooden stick. The most important monument and the major landmark of the city of Tanta is the famous mosque of Al Sayed El Badawy. He was a relative to El Hussein, the grandson of the prophet Mohamed and was buried in Egypt. Al Sayed El Badawy was born in the beginning of the 13th century from an Alaouite family in Morocco in the reign of El Mowahed king, El Nasser Mohamed. After having the finest education, Al Sayed El Badawy left Egypt and went to live in Mecca with his father and after 20 years, his father passed away in Mecca in 1230 AD. Al Sayed came back to Egypt in 1240 A.D. and he lived in Tanta where he spent the rest of his life teaching Islam and Islamic thoughts to the people of Tanta and the whole Nile Delta in Egypt.
