That was such a comfortable hostel to stay I have to say.... Far from home but like being at home. I mostly appreciated the service provided by the host ( WHO SPEAKS EXCELLENT ENGLISH ) - She really does her best to help you in all aspects of the vacation making your life so easy. The rooms are really clean and the mattress so comfortable - it all makes a great experience. I reccomend it to anyone having to stop in Dar es salaam.

Second time staying at The Nest Haven Hostel. Mariah is the ultimate hostess who takes care and offers help to every guest no matter the request. Looking forward to the next time I am in Dar es Salaam to experience this hospitality again. Oh the wifi works like a charm. The hostel is perfect for remote workers looking to get in some work done.

Coming from the USA I got at the hostel very late and thanks to the Host I had not problems checking in despite the time. She was very helpful and helped me organize few city tours - airport transfer and all her tips about the city were really super and useful. The Hostel is kept very well and cleand - really a great spot to relax and have an excellent sleep at night. I booked initially for one night and eventually decided to stop for almost a week. A big thanks to all the staff there - that really spare not efforts in helping you anything you may need.

A must! Maria redefines the concept of hosting with a most welcome interpersonal take to the task. I always felt at ease in her stay as she provided ample advice and often served the guide in navigating the city. Furthermore, the stay is near a lot of useful locations (supermarkets, restaurants).

I’ve spent 5 days there and it was a really nice stay. Maria is very kind and is always trying to help the guests. It’s a little bit far from town but the value for price is great. One day if I come back to Dar, I’ll definitely stay there again.

Really cool Hostel to stop by while in the city either for familias or with friends. Great service and is possible to book lots of tours and safari - just ask Mariah. Thank you so much for all your help.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Maria welcomed us with open arms and made us feel at home, and created a friendly atmosphere between the guests. It was always nice to chat in between activities or to have a chill evening with some drinks in the cosy courtyard, together with Maria and the other guests. We highly recommend the Nest Haven, and will be back!
