When we were on the way to Cameron highland, we were looking for a place to have a break and we decided to go to Weng Fatt . From the road side it was easy to overlook the small restaurant but when we went inside, to our surprised its a cosy and relaxing restaurant with impressive vintage decoration. The owner is very friendly and we were also surprised with his good aromatic kopi and traditional roti . After talking with the owner we decided to have our lunch there and we really enjoyed it . We only able to tried their signature clay pot fish ,curry pork meat and a vege. They were delicious maybe we were also hungry already. We went back to this restaurant after about 2 months when we were on the way to Ipoh.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way from north to south. A convenient place for a quick bite if you do not have spare time to drive further into any township. It is located about 1.5 km away from the Tapah toll exit. Sign board is partly covered by plants. Entrance faces the road but is a bit hidden by the plants. Shop is open air. Serves hot drinks, wantan noodle, yong tau fu, prawn noodle. Prices are reasonable, typically those charged in small towns. Food is of acceptable coffee shop standard.

Love it! A complete homely classic touch to a cafe/restaurant. You feel you’ve been sucked into those old old days. Surrounding is full of green and smells fresh. Nobody would believe there’s such a secret garden place on Tapah road. I actually came to visit on the recommendation of a Kampar friend, Vivien & Simon. Amazing back to 80s place!! Unfortunately, I came at the wrong timing hence couldn’t try the much talked about Black Wantan Mee. Apparently, the place opens at 7.00am and they serve toast, half boiled egg, wantan mee, nasi lemak, har mee up to 1.00pm ONLY. After that, the cafe only serves toast, half boiled egg and coffee till 4.30pm. No other food. I wanted to have lunch. The owner was kind enough to offer to fry rice for me though. Appreciate it much. Would definitely come again to try the breakfast offerings. Next time hopefully with a couple of friends. It’s a place to chat for sure. Anyway, those famed rice dishes, fish and chicken dishes that were talked about in the previous reviews are all not available anymore ya. Sadcase but hopefully they can offer more of those kind of dishes in future.

What a hidden gem this place is. A must visit just to be transported back in time ✨😍 Was coincidentally in the area and decided to drive here for a pit stop lunch and was treated to a delicious and generous portion of Wan Tan Mee. The vibe transports you back in time with oldies playing, posters on the wall as per how it was back in the day and good of kopi accompanying your toast with kaya & butter (no planta here). The uncle is super friendly and was telling me the kopitiam has actually been around for over 120 years ✨ So proper old school legit feels

A hidden coffee shop that is situated along the old way to Cameron Highlands. You will need waze to find this place. It is an old wooden house which was simply renovated with a lot of plants and trees surrounding the entrance. The dry style wanton mee was good, springy noodles and sweet sauce. The minced pork and prawn wantons were rather tasty. Had the small packet of nasi lemak, it was ok. Must give the kaya and butter toast a try as it was good. Thinly cut, nicely toasted until crisp. The local coffee here is not the bitter kind. Parkings can be found easily around the area.

Nice chill breakfast spot by the nature. Owner was very friendly and has this old school rock vibes. They play classic old songs which really relaxes the mind when having breakfast here. Food was not the best, but definitely worth coming here for the ambience

If you're seeking an authentic experience and a journey into the past, Weng Fatt Coffee Shop is the perfect place for you. Its captivating old-theme atmosphere, coupled with a delightful cup of coffee and baked bread, guarantees an unforgettable dining experience. When traveling between KL and Penang on North-South Highway, or vice versa, make sure to take a well-deserved break at this charming establishment.

Wow this is such a quaint little kopitiam! It has so many plants in the front that you almost can’t see it from the road. They serve delicious wantan mee and curry mee. They also have the best kopitiam toast and coffee. The owner said it’s been in his family for more than 130 years. The decor has loads of antiques and photos. Great for taking photos. Great place to check out if you are in area:)

Wantan mee is nice. Prawn noodle was tasteless, nasi lemak (will not order again) wet rice texture.. Toast bread is nice and atmosphere was calm & oldies... Love the music played early morning

This is a gem in tapah. Good food and nostalgics feel. The owner is very friendly and have the retro vibes. Coffee, tea and toast were at the top notch. Wantan noodle is nice too but not the prawn mee. L

The Penang style prawn noodle is tasty. Coffee is not bad either. The atmosphere is nostalgically trendy. The only problem here is the flies and mosquitoes.

Good and value breakfast. Ordered Their signature black Wan tan noodles, yummylicious. There are also old school breakfast, half boiled eggs and nasi lemak bungkus, the ones I used to have during my childhood. Nostalgic. Coffee shop looked cute with their old school deco. The boss was friendly and speaks English too. Overall a memorable experience. Highly recommended. Would definitely visit again if I ever come this way again.

1.5km from Toll Plaza, ideal for stopping over for a good rest with aromatic coffee and simple meals. You will definitely enjoy the retrospective ambience and soft music..

Really good Tea Leaf Smoked Chicken and it is good enough for me to make another trip from KL just to take away. Clams was cooked nicely. Claypot Pork was memorable. MSG Level 1 out 10.

it's a great way to portal yourself into the 70s and 80s. the setting of this very old hut cafe is so intriguing for photo and to immerse oneself for a simple old school coffee and bread. nothing fancy just like the old days.

It's a real surprise to discover this unique restaurant just at the exit of Tapah NS highway. A must visit restaurant for great food especially when you are traveling / driving along the NS highway. The claypot fish, smoked chicken and ice coffee is fantastic. My rating is die die must try. 👍🏻 It's that good. Unfortunately the other decided to close the restaurant in November 2019. So there is no more good nice food anymore.
