This motel needs to be condemned. I stayed in room 1. Filthy, smelly and so small you can’t even walk around the bed. Bathroom had a putrid shower curtain and a tap that did not run into the sink that you had to turn and hold to use. No toilet paper and a fly screen that was full of holes and did not close. Filthy curtains and cupboard that was full of thick dust. I stayed for 3 nights and the room was never serviced. I needed to stay close to the hospital as I had a very ill mother or I would not have stayed 1 minute. Absolutely disgusting. The health authorities need to close this place down.

Ill start with a positive, the reception was friendly and the sheets and towels were clean. We stayed one night and were considering leaving but was to late to check in anywhere else. We were in room 6 and there were pipes coming out of the ceiling that were making a running water noise, the beds were springy. We asked to move to a different room which he kindly did but only one room left. Where do I begin the floor was caving in the middle, it was like sleeping in a football ground it was so bright and the bathroom had someone else's bodily hair in the shower. It needed a good once over. All in all we won't be staying there again.

A great little country motel that is the perfect stopping point for a road trip. Some of the rooms may be a bit dated, but it means nothing for a single overnighter to rest your weary bones. Comfortable, clean and tidy.

Disliked · the room was disgusting and due to that we only could stay one night ,the bathroom was cover in mould,the hair dryer court fire in my wife hand , the light above mirror didn't work, the 3 light above the bed shorted out will laying in bed,the iron was broken,the doors on the kitchen ett were falling off,the remote for tv were flat,the doors and wall were filthy with marks all over them,the carpet was lifting and appeared holes in floors, and all the out door areas were disgusting

Been to this motel on a holiday twice and the smell of some of the rooms is just undescribable. I was going to the toilet in my room when a cricket came out of a slightly exposed drain pipe. No blankets are provided unless you account the one extremely thin cloth that couldn't even fit a child length wise. The pool is never cleaned and the gate leading out is slightly jammed. The only good thing about it is that it is near a nice fishing point that is easily accessible, less than a 1 minute walk to get to it from the motel.

More places should exist like this. Booking a room here, you can expect clean rooms in a slightly-off midcentury style with friendly staff, an unused, small pool and an impressive view on the Taree river. I like how they don’t pretend to be anything else than they present themselves. Down-to-earth, friendly staff and comfortable, clean beds are what you get here and for most people, that’s all you need from a motor inn in Taree!

Atrocious disgusting and run down 370 for 2 nights no way I wouldn't pay 20 night to stay here . Dripping shower . Trash under the beds tv doesn't work. Leaking fridge cupboard falling apart futon broke. Dirty walls go somewhere else trust me

Booked in for 2 nights the shower was dripping and you couldn't turn it off the sofa in the room was broken and uncomfortable. The tv only tuned to ABC the fridge was leaking there was trash under the bed the cupboard door was broken from water damage from the leaking fridge . Checked out and hour later they wanted to charge me for the night but I was able to get back half of the night . Dirty grubby and run down don't bother wasting your money not worth the stop

Super friendly staff and kind owner came to pick me up late at night after I had a car accident. 🙏🙏🙏 The room is nice, comfortable and clean for the price. 👍👍👍. Only small faults such as weak water pressure and a hair dryer that did not work. The owner is so kind, he let me wait in his lounge until my husband arrives from Sydney to pick me up. He brought me an ice block and a coke and offer to share his pizza when it arrives!🙏🙏 Would recommend this place as a friendly budget stop over. .

I recently stayed at Taree Motor Inn(Room no-17, 28th December 2023), and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The manager's rude behavior left much to be desired, displaying a lack of professionalism and courtesy. To exacerbate matters, the air conditioning in our room was malfunctioning, causing the room temperature to soar to an uncomfortable 30 degrees Celsius. This made it nearly impossible for my family and me to get a good night's sleep, leading to a restless and unpleasant stay. Considering the inconveniences faced and the inadequate service provided, I find it difficult to justify the cost of our stay. In hindsight, our money would have been better spent elsewhere. I hope the management addresses these issues promptly to ensure a more positive experience for future guests.

The owner is lovely and very helpful and obliging. The rooms are always spotless,have stayed there three times. Very handy location. Looks a bit ordinary on the outside and the pool needs attention,but overall am very happy with the service

Very friendly management, ever willing to assist in any way they can. This motel has a vintage feel but the rooms are clean and comfortable. No noisy guests when we were there. One important feature is the price. Scenic location close to food. Would highly recommend!

Very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful river views and a nice pool. If you book the largest family room you have a fantastic balcony with lounge seating overlooking the river. Easy walk into town from here.

Rooms weren't the best, definitely not for the price. the shower didn't work, had to have a cold shower plus its not close to many food places and the only place for delivery food was dominos.

Nothing like the pictures posted, room not overly clean, booked a spa with taps missing off spa, we walked out not fit for anything. The hotel California. No restaurant.

Spa Room 21🤢 Paid $170 for the night we booked a spa room and it was disgusting to say the least the smell of mold hits you when you walk into the room I think this is due to not having a working fan in the bathroom so I was unable to have a spa and with the amount of hair in the bath tub I wasn't game enough to use it anyways.. Bed looked nice and big went to get another pillow out of the cupboard and found sheets inside with urine on them 🤮 The microwave had a cup of made coffee in it most likely from the guests that stayed before us. A health inspector should really have a look at this place because it shouldn't be open to the public. (Just Look at all the bad reviews) The manager at the service asked us not to write a review about our experience and told us he would give us back some money on our stay well he offered us a $15 refund🤔 Hopefully this helps people make better choices so they dont have to be disappointed and don't waste your money ... Hopefully the management will fix this place up otherwise I don't think it will be open much longer.

Having read these comments after making my booking for next weekend, I rang the motel to ask for assurance that my room would be clean, all doors and fittings in working order, no mold and no smells. What ever the budget, these are reasonable expectations of accommodation fit for purpose. They assured me that it would be - Thankyou for this assurance.

WARNING!!! This motel needs serious attention, we booked in for an overnight stay on our way home from Qld and wow it’s absolutely terrible, The room we were given was filthy and we were met with an overwhelming smell of dampness. On a positive note we were given a refund and we left and stayed in foster. Taree Motor Inn needs to be shut down or seriously updated asap !

Stayed 1night first and last time was not worth $130 a night Manning River was the best part of the accommodation not even a teaspoon in the room to make your coffee with and bed not at all comfortable all in all room 11 was not good. this place should be knocked down...will not recommend this place to anyone...

Awful experience and extremely poor customer service! stayed one night and never again. Room wreaked of bleach, dirty walls, putrid shower curtain, thick dust on shelves, stained carpets. I accidently left my expensive pillow there. When i called to ask about it, they had thrown it out!! The man on the phone was extremely rude and showed zero compassion and was not helpful at all. To top it off he hung up on me. Absolutely appualling customer service. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

My room you couldn't swing a cat in it. There was mould on the carpets bed felt like sleeping on the base of it. The employee at the office was good

Stayed for one night with my husband, booked the basic room and definitely would not stay again. Room is very outdated and the floors are literally caving in. Aircon doesn’t work and curtains don’t block out the light from the corridor. Definitely stayed at better highway motels. This just wasn’t a great experience nor sleep

Room was tinnnnny. Over priced. Wall paper falling off the walls and very noisy from road noise and other people staying. An all night light or sensor light near the lock box for picking up your key would be useful. One positive was it was clean even though a good Reno required.

Good for a one night stay on your way north or south along the Pacific Motorway. The layout is "interesting" and let's be honest, it's glorious days are long gone. The pool is a nice backyard pool we couldn't use due to the weather. Might have been nicer if we could have enjoyed it (but that's not the inn's fault). The room was clean and tidy and the water pressure in the shower amazing. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a bit tiny. The adjunct restaurant is closed and just serves as a mock-up. Overall, for a one night stop en route it is perfect - not for staying longer.

Horrible. The bathroom door was completely off its hinges, and when discussed with the staff there was no attempt to help or provide compensation. Terrible cancellation/refund policy, and the “double bed” room was just two singles pushed together with double bed sheets on them. Do not recommend at all.

We decided to stop in Taree because hotels in Bulahdelah were all booked out. We booked a basic room here at the Motor Inn - I have a penchant for old school highway motels. It didn't disappoint and we were very lucky to get an upgrade to a bigger room with a balcony and view. The owners are lovely and gave us good recommendations for places to eat. Great place to break your journey, not to mention a view of pelicans out the window!

No service, had to wait for 5 minutes for office to open, even though we phoned ahead to book and gave an arrival time. Room was not like any of the pictures shown; it would not have booked if it was. Spare pillow in the cupboard was so disgusting. I am not sure where they have got their rating from; it was far from. When leaving in the morning, early went to put key in box in office, but was unable, then needed to return to room and leave in in. No instructions were given to us. Disappointing service, room was extremely poor, do not book the family room, as it is not a family room, only air-conditioner was in the middle room over bed, not two bedroom. 1 room with partial walls in between, and there are no doors. Smelly, I just disapointed, when you read reviews and look at the pictures and get the complete opposite

Absolutely disgusting shouldn't even be a half star hotel body fluids on wall no towels first night no clean sheets until I requested after third night ran out of toilet paper went to complain about lack of service was told they don't have anyone to clean!!! Asked why I'm paying same amount as overnight and not getting room serviced shouldn't I be entitled to a discount? I have to talk to the manager who isn't here atm but it is her husband!!! Never got a discount please please please stay away from this dump!!!

Booked a basic room for an overnight stay at a great price too (one person) when i arrived for check in found the staff At reception very friendly and was gobsmacked as they upgraded me one of the room was no charge wow what a great view and location. The room was very tidy and clean too. I will be coming back through here if traveling from Melbourne to brisbane. I highly recommend this place A++++++++++

Was a reasonably clean room. Bed was a bit lumpy. Tv remote didnt work. Cups hadnt been washed.

Can't say much positive about this place. Stayed 1 night 9th August. Bed was comfortable but room very cold. Air con not working and tv no reception. The fridge was very noisy and I had to turn it off or wouldnt have been able to sleep with noise. Also floor to bathroom unlevel and a tripping hazard. Would not recommend this stay

The owner was super lovely and so accommodating, when we got to the Inn everything was closed and the owner provided us with some dinner so we didn’t go to bed hungry! Clean rooms, Netflix and a nice stop over to rest your head!

The staff was very accommodating to our late check in. The room was affordable but also big, clean, and well presented. The shower was lovely and we has a great view of the river.

This is a budget motel however it has many positives! The staff were lovely and it was very quiet. We had a pleasant large room. The beds were very comfortable with lovely linens. The bathroom was small but had the best shower with amazing water pressure and a shower rose at a height suitable for my tall husband! For an overnight stay it was more than adequate. Thank you.
