Requested a medium rare fillet, however, we received a raw steak. We asked the waiter for a correction for the steak. The second time we received the steak, it was again raw. Unfortunately, this error ruined the eating experience. We asked for compensation for the steak, but that was not possible. Good atmosphere but not so good service...

This was an accidental find as we walked through the area to a kiss and ride. We saw the area in the daytime and ensured we returned. Located in the Jewish Quarter of kazimierz is the old synagogue and further up a row of these nice restaurants. We tried this place, and we are so glad we did. I had what says is a traditional polish meal. They also had traditional Jewish meals. I wanted to try polish red wine, but it was suggested that Isreal red wine was better. As I was in a Jewish area, it seemed the right choice, and it was one of the best red wines I have had, which was Gamla Cabernet Sauvignon. They had two people playing music outside. Traditional Jewish music and it gave the evening a very nice atmosphere. I could spend all day say here with a drink watching the world go by. Very friendly staff. My one recommendation is getting drinks out to people as soon as possible as that was a long wait at the start but might have been a one off.

The place looks ok, and the service good. Unfortunately the food looks very good but it's very plain and noting special so it makes it too pricey.

Stopped here for some breakfast. The food was good, Eggy toast and scrambled egg really good. Freshly squeezed orange juice amazing. Service was good until we had finished, and then they weren't as tentative as before.

I was nicely and quickly served. There was live music, two people, and they played well. The food was great ( pierogi with meat). The heated terrace was warm enough even during the cool evening in April.

Very nice place with a great atmosphere! Interior is welcoming, creating an established atmosphere that’s not too posh. It’s the first time we went to a Jewish restaurant, and we will for sure come back. It’s not 100% kosher, as the waitress explained. The menu is great, nice variety of different dishes. Service is fabulous, you truly sense you are cared for. Dumplings are a must, definitely worth trying! Also Duck and Lamb are fabulous! Prices are more on the pricey side, but worth it. (Rated and graded as a restaurant)

Great service, excellent food Awiw has a lovely outdoor seating area, which we enjoyed. The service was wonderful, our waiter was very attentive and courteous. The food was fresh and delicious. For drinks we had cider and house tea, they were very good. For starters, we tried the latkes and a veal stuffed cabbage leaf, they were good, though latkes were a bit dry due to overcooking…. We got a Royal Pierogi Mix in mushroom sauce, on the menu it was listed as porcini sauce, but in reality, it was chanterelles. We did not complain about that, as we are huge chanterelle fans. Also, we ordered Duck breast in cherry brandy sauce, which was absolutely wonderful, and the meat was perfectly prepared, medium rare. Finally, we had turkey liver dish, which was also excellent, not overcooked and full of flavor. We had a great meal.

Thank you for great atmosphere and service! Our waitress Maria recommended us Jewish style duck in cherry vodka sauce - great choice! I’ve had Polish wine first time in my life and must say it’s totally worth trying. Fact: Awiw serves best dumplings in Krakow.

Perhaps I dined here with high expectations after reading the reviews. But most reviews did not reflect my experience. The food here is very average and below what a mediocre home cook would prepare for dinner. In particular both flavour and presentation disappoint. The value for money just isn’t there. The best part of the meal was the coffee, which is very nice, and the apple pie. Unfortunately I wouldn’t go back. My advice is to look elsewhere.

Such a great place! The food was amazing. You must try the liver paste (omg so good!). They have a live music which is great and makes a fun atmosphere. Highly recommended.

A great experience in one of my favourite areas. Food and drinks delicious and fresh, staff friendly and patient. Great place to people watch and rest, maybe have a cigarette. Was pleased to see so many options without pork, or meat at all. And the option to tip rather than the expectation to receive one is refreshing. Prices pretty much the same as everywhere.

Had a really nice dinner at AWIW last night. The perogis were amazing. Kinga was our waitress and the service was great. She gave lots of good recommendations. Great value for money and excellent drinks and food. We will be back on our next trip.

Very good restaurant in Jewish Quarter area. I had potato pancakes aka Latkes, my friend had Polish apple pancakes. Everything delicious! Coffee tasted like it was from specialty coffee shop. In conclusion, 10/10, will definitely come back

Live music is nice. The dishes we tasted were good. I didn't like the fact that they calculated tips and offered you to pay them. Depending on what a person expects and has experienced, I think it is a choice made by each individual.

We were a group of 16 people and had the chance to sit in the cellar. The food was great and we had a good time. Karolina was the friendliest, nicest most helpful host we could have wished for.

Absolutely gem of a place to find on our holiday to Kraków. The food is beautiful. I had pork loin, and my partner had chicken supreme. The food was cooked to perfection. We definitely recommend you pop in if you want a lovely, freshly cooked meal.

Very nice place with great, tasty food. Special recommendation for delicious turkey liver, great duck breast and latkes (potato pancakes with mushrooms). Nice service - best greetings to Tetiana.

Great food (the duck we ordered was a little chewy, the fat wasn't rendered too well and the accompanied potato was cold or they would have gotten 5⭐). Fantastic live entertainment. Wonderful, attentive and friendly staff. Must try the honey vodka!

We went two couples we asked 5 things at the beginning and in those were 3 mistakes. Afterwards we asked 2 more beers and they run out so they had only one, but when the bill came they charged for their mistakes, (1 beer more plus mayonnaise that we never ordered) we noticed this to the waitress and not to spend more time there we said to bring any other lager they have and to compete 100% of mistakes she brought Dunkel. In the other hand the bar is well located.

Lovely place and service. The waitresses spoke English well and always service with a smile. We visited in winter and were able to sit outside in their heated, perspex-walled tent!! We got the beef stroganoff in a bread bowl and got garlic, spinach and chicken dumplings - the stroganoff was lovely but the reason I gave 4 star for the food was the dumplings were too heavily coated in a thick garlic sauce for my liking. Would definitely visit again!

We had dinner, a table 7 and we had a great dinner. It was all very relaxed, the terrace was nice, there was live music, drinks and food were very good. Special mention to Eliza, our waiter. Her contagious good mood, amazing service and true care to make us feel good and have a great experience was touching and admirable.

Lovely meal in this restaurant where we were welcomed warmly by our waiter. The service was exceptional. We sat inside and it’s decor was lovely and the whole restaurant was very clean, tidy and comfortable. We had chicken and steak salads. The meat was cooked really well and the flavourings in my salad were possibly the nicest I have ever had. Our waiter was extremely helpful recommending drinks and very knowledgeable about the wine and vodka he was serving, he made my husbands day with his wine recommendations and advising us all the details of the wine incase we wanted to get some for ourselves. The dessert I had was really nice, i would highly recommend the warm raspberries and sauce with ice cream and cream! Our meal was finished off with a nice vodka shot!

Extremely friendly staff, gorgeous food. Got to try out the 4 cheese pizza that they are wanting to put on their menu, and it was delicious. Myself and my family definitely can recommend the traditional Polish food, and the Pizza.

We landed in Krakow quite late and was on a look for a great restaurant, with Polish cuisine. We hit the Jewish quarters and was met with a cozy restaurant called Awiw. We were met with a sweet and forthcoming personal. I would especially emphasis the waiter Kings who was 👑. The food was very delicious! Very recommendable.
