I recently had the pleasure of dining at the South Indian Hotel in Pattaya, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with both their exceptional behaviour and the quality of their food. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, the overall experience made it worth every penny. First and foremost, the staff's behaviour at the South Indian Hotel is beyond commendable. I encountered Mr. Vijay, who seemed to be a true gem among the team. When I mentioned that I was feeling unwell and had a bad throat, he immediately sprang into action, showing genuine concern for my well-being. He promptly informed the kitchen to prepare a special rice porridge infused with garlic, known for its soothing properties. This level of care and attentiveness truly touched my heart. Such exceptional and empathetic individuals are a rarity in the hospitality industry, and I was grateful to have encountered one during my visit. Now, let's talk about the food - it was an absolute delight! As a fan of South Indian cuisine, I must say that the dishes served at this hotel were authentic and flavorful. From the crispy dosas to the aromatic sambhar and coconut chutney, every bite was a trip to food heaven. The use of fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques showcased their commitment to maintaining the genuine taste of South India. However, it is worth mentioning that the prices at the South Indian Hotel were slightly higher compared to other eateries in the area. Nevertheless, given the outstanding service and the top-notch quality of the food, I believe the experience was well worth the extra expense. In conclusion, my visit to the South Indian Hotel in Pattaya was a memorable one. The staff's exceptional behaviour, especially Mr. Vijay's caring and prompt response to my health situation, left a lasting impression. The food was a true delight for my taste buds, with its authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. While it might be a bit on the expensive side, the overall experience justifies the cost. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a genuine South Indian culinary experience served with a touch of heartwarming hospitality. ❤️

I am vegan. I tried thali here, the food is amazing. Perhaps this is only Indian restaurant which understands what vegan is, and has vegan options. But make sure to tell them Vegan just in case, they can substitute yogurt (buttermilk) with lemon juice and skip ghee part in thalis. Ofcourse, you can try Dosas most of which are vegan here. In future, they said they will have a separate vegan menu. I strongly recommend this place

Tonight I had dinner at Sugam. I ate Poori and Aloo masala and my friends had Dosa with chutney and sambar. The food served were very good, hygienic and delicious. Price was very reasonable. The owner and staff were very polite, friendly and hospitable. Never miss to visit this property while in Pattaya. Best pure vegetarian south Indian restaurant in Pattaya. They have a similar restaurant with the same name in Bangkok too next to Baiyoke sky hotel, opposite to Indra Mall.

Ordered the South Indian Thali - the owner recommended it as the best. Wanted to try more things but glad I didn’t order because I was so full. Amazing food, everything had a different flavour palate and I enjoyed it very much. Great food, great prices, not far from Beach Rd.

The food was amazing! She recommended 2 dishes and both were really good. We ordered 1 bowl of extra rice, and after that we were really full. Great vegetarian food in Pattaya!

Very good experience at Sugam Restaurant, Pattaya. They served us with the best dosa and masala vada ever had . We tried Masala Dosa, Rava Dosa and Masala Tea as well. Super good. Very family feel and friendly atmosphere. Not expensive at all. We will definitely recommend the place to our friends and family. The owners Vijaya and Paro are really great and looked after us well. Keep it up guys.

We are a loyal visitor of Suagm Silom and recently paid a visit to Sugam Pattaya. And pleasantly found that the quality and warmth of reception is not compromised even in a commercially competitive Pattaya City. May Vijay and Paro continue to delight Indians in Thailand with authentic South Indian food. All the best!!

Wonderful masala dosa, best I have eaten away from Kerala. The restaurant is clean and the staff friendly and welcoming. I plan to return again soon to sample the South Indian thali.

Tried Non Veg Thali, food taste was fine, rice quantity less based on pricing of the overall dish, it's a new place so looks like owner is personally handling things.... The restroom is not clean, especially the hand towel kept near the wash basin stinks of urine smell....

Owner is probably making money through groups bookings. Went thrice and was given requested food only once. Other times either was flatly told/declined specific dish that I ordered “is unavailable(cause a group is coming)” and second time was asked to have “thali” instead of desired food. I would skip for next time. There are better restaurants in vicinity who do better customer service and food is great too.

Really good food. We tried in Pattaya and Bangkok ( Silom and Near the Indra square branch). Silom is only vegetarian but really nice. Silom may be a small hotel but the food was the ultimate. Sugam near Indra square was also good. Thanks to the tasty food.
