service is good location is good the atmosphere is good the establishment looks modern, European The coffee is very tasty, like all drinks, that's where the positives end At first we took fries with curry for lunch, even though the establishment positions itself as European, there was so much curry and red pepper that we couldn’t even eat a quarter of the portion, the second portion with beef was tolerable, but the potatoes themselves were not of high quality the second time we took tom yam, the soup was delicious, the second position was feather pasta with mushroom sauce, I would rate the pasta 1 out of 1000, the pasta was raw, weathered, as if it had been cooked a few days ago. it was terrible I would advise taking only drinks there, the price for each lunch was around 800 baht, which I think is very overpriced compared to the quality of the food I am forced to downgrade my review rating from two entries to one because the owner cannot recognize her "custom" plates that are used in her establishment and I have to say that I got the place mixed up, probably just like other people with bad reviews. As for the menu, it should be divided between Canadian cuisine and spicy Thai cuisine. no one makes Canadian fries with spicy chicken that a Canadian couldn't eat.

I ordered Buddha bowl which tasted well and quantity was fair for one person. I visited a tad late in the night and the restaurant wasn't occupied at all. Ambience is good, it's pretty neatly done for a beach town and has a metropolitan feel to it. A couple of tables are available for outdoor seating. This placed is owned by a Canadian lady and she was there at the restaurant. She was warm and friendly in conversation. Definitely worth trying if you are in Ao Nang area. From a cost perspective, found it a bit expensive, say 10-15% above the great value for money threshold. They don't accept card payments which is a bummer.

Beautiful space, friendly service. They only opened a few weeks ago but it is running like a well oiled machine. The business operators run a successful cafe of the same name in Victoria, Canada; so it's not their first rodeo! Lots of seating for dine in with floor to ceiling windows all around. Patio space as well. Great WiFi

Great Spot for Breakfast, Coffee & Wifi! I’ve been here multiple times in the 3 weeks it has been open and it’s been great every time. Really welcoming owners from Canada and a friendly Thai team working along side them. Great for digital nomads like myself who need a place to set up shop with superb food and coffee. Seating inside and out, all round nice vibe & look forward to seeing how much it develops over the coming weeks. You wouldn’t think this place just opened, the quality of food, drink & service is great. Not to mention a nice retreat as well from the hustle & bustle of Ao Nang Beach!

Omelette with prawns was not bad, but only 2-eggs dish (4 of 5); Toast with avocado was awful, they made an avocado sauce rather than smashed, with onion...Recommend you to upgrade the dish and make not smashed but sliced avocado with Philadelphia cream and eggs - it would be more delicious! Coffee was nice, but I ordered the biggest cup and they only bring me a standard one (suppose there is only 1 coffee cup size that they actually have).

Stumbled on this new restaurant as it's just 2 doors up the road from our hotel, Ao Nang Colors. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is great. We're gluten free and they accommodated that nicely. We're Canadian and caught on to the owners being Canadian also, from the offerings of breakfast Poutine and Caesars! Lovely spot for just a coffee or a meal all day. Highly recommended.

This place is a great escape from the heat with perfect coffee. Laptop friendly with many PowerPoints, we love this cafe because it has delicious healthy food options we can choose from when working all day. The food seems to be carefully prepared, both western and Thai options equally delicious. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cafe with delicious food, big portions, good prices and lots of vegetarian/ vegan/ GF options. The coffee is one of the best I've had in Thailand too. And the owners are very welcoming! A rare gem of a place.

Never thought id be sat eating a Thai dish with a side of Poutine, but here I am! We stumbled upon Shatterbox by chance, looking for a different veggie restaurant. The place looked really inviting and I saw ‘Vegan options available’ on the window so we decided to give it a try. Omg am I glad we did. I had a hard time choosing as there were so many veggie options (a lot of the items on the menu you choose your protein meat/eggs/avocado), so I’m definitely going to have to come back… The food we had was amazing, tasted brilliant and was presented beautifully. Staff were really friendly and welcoming The cocktails were great as well (happy hour 2-6pm). Currently sat deciding whether to order another pinacolada… highly recommend btw!

We ended up staying in Ao Nang for a month and the Shatterbox was our most frequented spot as well as the most consistently good. It’s only been operating for two and a bit months from my knowledge but you would never know. The owner takes massive pride in making sure everyone customer has a great experience. The first thing that stuck out at us was the level of cleanliness inside and out of the establishment. The staff was extremely well trained considering the time the spot had been in operation and went above and beyond in every aspect. The kitchen put out fresh and well presented meals every single time. I could go on for days about why this place is going to become a staple in the community. Not only do they have authentic Thai options that are well priced given the area, but they also offered some comforts we had been missing back from the western world. As a avid foodie I would HIGHLY recommend visiting this spot if you’re spending any amount of time in Ao Nang. Don’t take my word for it, feel free to look at some of the photos of the food we ordered below!

I had their homemade carrot cake and egg Benedict which was absolutely great! I always drink their coffees as it’s by far the best in ao nang! Staff is really friendly and atmosphere is really cozy, love it.

This place is so flavorful! We stayed for lunch, dinner , dessert and got a muffin & banana bread to go for our long drive the next day (Usually for dinner we change locations but it was so good we decided to stay and try other dishes) ! The chicken kebab had an very flavorful marinate & everything I could want on a plate. My bf’s pork was also super flavorful , really everything was soo good. It was also nice cause we are digital nomads and we were able to have good WIFI and work from there . Also they had Italian espresso(which my Italian bf was very happy about). Don’t miss this place ! From western to Thai food everything is good!

The food well presented and fresh. I had a BLT which was fair. The bread was a little cake like and the bacon thin. GF had Pad Thai and she cleared the plate saying it was fantastic! Golden rule: when in Thailand, eat Thai lol

The food was great. However a coffee was in a tea cup and was not good. They have a discount for the guests of the villas in front of the cafe. However they did not provide the discount as promised verbally (i saw in the bill later). Instead of the discount there was +7% vat. Quite not I was expecting :) Anyway. The coffee in a tea cup it is a crime :)

New place in town! I love a spot to get healthy fair and this one delivers a little bit of everything. I got the veggie sandwich with bacon and was so glad it came toasted. It was awesome. The yogurt fruit bowl looked good as well. My matcha latte was good but gone in two sips as it had a lot of ice. Get the largest size to really enjoy. And one thing is I wish the food would come out together. My partner got his yogurt bowl and my sandwich came 10 minutes later long after he was done. Carrot cake was AMAZING ! Good prices too

so unpleasant experience: - cappuccino was made absolutely wrong: milk was sooo hot that I burned my tongue trying to taste it - coffee taste bitter ( I think beans just burned ) - they charge 30 Baht for almond milk ( I spent 4 months in different areas of Thai - it’s the most expensive milk ever ) - the cup for take away not comfortable, don’t have lid ( maybe it’s a temporary story ) as a result - the most expensive cappuccino, but the quality is not worth it at all UPD after so “right and helpful answer from owner” : - I left here own opinion - it’s place for real reviews, no just for “pleasure review”, right? - if my coffee was wrong - I wrote here , how it was, because I want let people know about my experience - how you can see from my reviews and everyone can check - more than 90% of them positive, and I visited many places. Even previous place with coffee in Ao-nang - 5 stars and only positive words , so don’t try to “diagnose” your customer and shows your unprofessionalism - and yes - I can come back and talk with someone about my experience or left review here - it’s same things. I can see already, which reaction I could get, if I spend more time and try to give honest review in real time at coffee shops, so I’m happy I didn’t Wish you all the best, and hope in the future you’ll let your customers tell their own opinion and real experience

Amazing cafe and breakfast spot. Phenomenal food and really great service with reasonable prices. Owner is a very friendly and personally checked in on us. If you’re looking for that quintessential North American breakfast experience then you should certainly check this place out! Just saw there’s a location in Canada! Can’t wait to check it out when I get home 🇨🇦❤️

It was okay but not great. The prices are the typical tourist prices and as someone living here I know I can go next door to a Thai owned restaurant and get better quality food for much less. A mound of white rice and a few shrimp shouldn’t cost 300 baht when you can get rice here with a lot veggies and meat for 100 baht everywhere else. The milkshake I got was also pure milk at the top and the ice cream was hard at the bottom. I understand the place is new so they’re probably working through a few things. Best of luck!
