Best zoo in Thailand for sure... Contender for best 1 hour zoo experience for a family with young kids in the world. If you can get over (or get by by insisting in Thai) the double pricing for foreigners and remember to not lose your receipt for the 200 baht golf cart rental (forget taking the tram), everything will be fine. There's not a great variety of animals or exhibits overall, but the ones they have can be magnificent... My daughter and I had the greatest tiger experience ever here, he got up real close and ignored us like a boss!

This was honestly one of the best zoos that I have visited in Asia as well as the US where I'm from. It's in the middle of a thick forest, and the animals are spread apart well with adequate space. The Orangutans particularly seemed much better off than the sad one in Chiang Mai zoo(all alone). One was sleeping in a tree as we came up, he then turned around to look at us. Seemed very healthy and happy.

The great thing here is to drive through the open part of the zoo. But not all the wild animals can me seen. Also, just feeding time is interesting to see the tigers and lions. The place is a little run down but my 5 year old liked it a lot.

There are many animals here. I think it's about 20+ animals? (And I think it's going to have more birds!) If you come to a specific day and time, you can watch some shows like feeding a tiger! :)

Very well managed zoo. A lot of tourists complain about double pricing but you're forgetting that 95% of the visitors will be Thais who will come over and over again so it needs to be made affordable for them. The tourist ticket is 350bath which is a decent price based on the animal conditions I would have been happy to pay twice that price. Very spacious zoo, loads of animal varieties, most of the animals are not caged and live in an environment that mimics wild. I enjoyed the big birds enclosure which is huge probably around 300m2 you can enter it and walk alongside the big birds!! One of the best ZOO I have visited. I would definitely recommend

Great day out the usual foreigner pays more Tha local which is OK the zoo needs more loot and I doubt many Thai people would pay the higher rate I think the UK and other western countries should apply this 😏 if your thinking of hiring a golf cart to drive around (it would be a long walk) you need some form of ID I was lucky my wife had her cambodian I'd, well worth a visit

A ZOO with practically NO animals. Just an enormous park with very very few information signs. There should be a finders-fee for both information boards and animals. Love animals and ZOOs. Been to more than +50 different ones around the world. Will newer come back.

Ubon Ratchathani Zoo (สวนสัตว์อุบลราชธานี) located in Ubon Ratchathani town. The opened zoo has the area of 1,217 Rai in the exhibition area of the zoo, the animals were released freely allow us to observed their cuteness closer! The zoo has a wide-range of animals from Mammal (Hog Badger, Giraffe, Otter, Hog Deer, Nyala, Lemur), Reptile (Snake, Caiman, Crocodile), Avian (Hornbill, Cockatoo, Macaw), and Aquatic Animals It's a nice way to spend weekends with family or friends walking around, using tram or golf cart observing the cutie little friends here

Good getaway place with family. You can find affordable eateries and multiple activities around rather than just a zoo. Really cheap golf cart to explore around the zoo.

📌As a travel enthusiast with a deep appreciation for wildlife, my recent visit to Ubon Ratchathani Zoo in Thailand left me with a mix of awe and delight. Nestled in the heart of the Isaan region, this charming zoo offered a captivating experience that I will cherish forever. ◾Ubon Ratchathani Zoo is a gem in Ubon Ratchathani that offers a rewarding experience for nature and animal lovers alike. From its beautiful and natural habitats to the diverse array of species and its dedication to conservation, the zoo sets a shining example for ethical and responsible wildlife tourism. 📍While my overall experience was exceptional, I couldn't help but wish for a few more shaded areas throughout the zoo, especially during the scorching Thai summers. Nevertheless, I highly recommend Ubon Ratchathani Zoo to anyone visiting the region, as it promises an enchanting and educational encounter with wildlife.

Huge amazing Zoo all enclosures are big letting the animals run free. We hired a golf buggy to drive around the whole zoo. The zoo has many animals including kangaroos, lions, tigers, bird enclosures and more. We saw them feed the tigers was so fun and interesting. Highly recommended

25 baht for locals 150 for foreigner. 1 pair of zebra, lion, orangutan, 1 white tiger, 1 orange tiger (forgive me), 1 giraffe, an ostrich, and a bunch of birds. I enjoyed cycling though. it was the best part. I still want to visit again - for cycling.

It was a very pleasant experience, much better than I expected. You can rent a bike and cycle inside the zoo which has a bicycle lane. The zoo keeper are very friendly and helpful. It was a thoroughly enjoyable time with the family.

The facilitiy management and guideline needs to be improved. The direction is not clear not telling us where each animal is. There is no map provided. We only could take the map photo from the bicycle rental area. The entrace costs 100 THB/PERSON and it costs 50 THB/CAR. When you get inside, we have to pay more for bicycle rental, electric cart rental, bus tour. You cannot drive through the zoo along the path. One of the staffs from the photo booth was horrible !! She wanted to only sell the photos attached for souvenirs but did not care on what was going on. She was so unhelpful. We asked for direction but she told us to get the information for the ticket stand which was ok however she chased us to leave her booth since we were standing in front of the stand. By that time, the bus tour was passing by and we had to wait to cross the road. She really told us to leave straight way. What a rude !! This really gave us a bad impression. All in all, the staffs were nice and friedly except that lady from the photo booth stand.

They don't even have all the basic animals they should have ... for example a giraffe, a hippopotamus, an elephant, reptiles ... a very poor offer

I pay extra because I'm not Thai and most exhibits are not written in English ???? But in all the new exhibits are very nice

Fee for adult little pricy (compared to content / mid size zoo) Nice and clean atmosphere

Beautiful. Love the peacocks. Love the leopards. The lions. The gator was huge. Will get the family pass that allows us to go to any of their affiliated sites. Chiangmai. Chonburi. Etc. We each rented bicycles for an hour. 30฿ per pike. Nice. Fun.

👍 A bit out of the way, which makes it more peaceful. Surrounded by rice fields. Best time to visit is sunset, partly because of the views but also there’s more likely to be activity.
