It is one amongst the best floating markets in Thailand Bangkok. Opens only on weekends i e. Saturday and Sunday. Timings from 8am to 5pm. Ticket price for a private boat is 300 Thai baht per person and for the shared boat 100 Thai baht per person. It's a very different and unique experience and highly recommended. They also take you to 2 places on a boat - the Buddha temple and the Orchid garden which are decent enough.

Definitely a must visit and do get there before 10am to beat the crowds. Lots of tasty and cheap food with a great ambiance. Vendors are friendly and offer you samples to try. The long tail boat ride through the river were interesting too. One of the better ones to visit that attracts lots of locals too.

Oh it was so much fun!! This probably is more authentic floating market that is less touristy compared to other famous one among international travelers. It looks most customers are Thai, meaning the prices are local price. You have LOTS of food options including endless food stalls and some restaurants and cafes at the end part of the market. We opted to get couple of different snacks and plates from food vendors, only one thing missing was… beer! Later we noticed some restaurants offered beer,, next time! Boat ride was fun, taking us to another smaller floating market and really cute cafe next to orchid farm. We came across huge lizards cruising in the river a cii on hole of times and our kids were so excited:D It was only 40 mins drive from heart of BKK, so this is a good place to visit on weekends. I would come back for sure and next time a bit earlier in the morning as most shops were closed when we got back from the boat ride. Highly recommended.

A unique thing to visit and enjoy while in Bangkok, they have a multitude of local food vendors... if you love street food, this is where you want to go! Not only that, they have a series of long tail boat vendors who will give you a 45 minute boat ride around the narrow canals of the floating market. You can view the local neighborhood and scenery during this ride, would highly recommend. It costs 100 baht per person. We saw a huge water snake! Advice - there will be many of those boat vendors looking to sell you a ride. But only one vendor will take you on the ride and around to two local attractions (a Buddhist temple and a garden) all for the same price of 100 baht per person. You can find them calling out to potential customers with a microphone headset, that's them, they're the only ones with a microphone. More Advice - Nobody takes credit card here so definitely bring cash. A car ride here is roughly 20 minutes from Bangkok, not bad! Enjoy!

We were looking for a floating market not too far out if Bangkok. This was awesome. Easy to reach with public transport and felt very local. It doesn’t have as many boats as the really popular ones but still has floating vendors without the crazy crowds. We loved it so much. Our kids loved cooking their own fried rice in mini woks and feeding the animals at the petting section. We loved the paddle boat ride too.

Incredible must visit local weekend market. Fresh local produce at great prices, heaps of food options, may sellers were also giving out free samples, loved the independent craft and clothing stores (not mass produced or touristy, except for the section closest to the street at the front, there were a few shops that might not be their own crafts, but still nice). The river cruise was a steal at 100 baht per person, that was more than an hour long, stopping at another small more local floating market for 20min (no pressure to spend money) and a small orchard garden stop. There are many vendors doing these cruises, we went to the one with a huge price board and LED display screen.

Fantastic water market and not far away from Bangkok city. Many many shoppers with good atmosphere even at early Saturday morning. All shoppers smile and busy at their business. The whole market is full of energy and everyone is happy. I will come again for weekend breakfast and enjoy a 1.5 hr boat trip next time.

1 of the lesser known floating markets lots of local people around, it is a really huge floating market and its split by sections filled with lots of cheap local food and lively atmosphere. At certain parts of the market there is also live music sometimes if you are lucky. Went there at around 10AM and it is very crowded. This location can be access by taxi highly recommended to take from the nearest MRT, just hail one down and tell them where you want to go most of them would know where it is.

100% recommended if you want to visit a floating market, very big and wide variety of food at very reasonable price. Strongly recommend you to take the canal boat ride , 2 person of us took a private boat at 500baht for around 1 hour including to orchids farm. Some of the food here are really top notch!

Large floating market. It’s way bigger than you think. There are 3-4 sections. Make sure you do the whole walk. It’s quite hot and humid. If you want to sit down, there are seatings near the river with cool breeze. You can also take the river boat tour. They will take you around to see not just the market area but ordinary houses along the river. There are parking areas. It’s around 20 Baht / car. Toilet near the car park is around 1 Baht / use. The market need better signage. These market operate on cash so make sure you have some.

Date of visit : Sat 13th Aug 2022 Time : 10+ am When I reached this market, I realized that I’ve been taken for a ride at another 2 so-called floating markets that I had been several years ago conducted by tours. Those 2 markets were touristic and unfortunately non authentic. This market is a huge extensive covered stand, straddling beside a khlong/canal, housing many local hawkers, opened only on weekends. We arrived early, so it was still easy to find a table for 5 besides the khlong. Many types of local food to try, my favorite still the local deep fried pork. The cannabis drink was probably just a gimmick. Wanted to try other tempting food but just too full.

Great place to visit. Certainly come early to avoid the hot part of the day and the crowds that come later. Lots of choices for food. Inexpensive priced.

Klong Lat mayom floating market is a Weekend market and there are food stalls selling local delicacies for a good bargain. A pork skewer cost only 10 baht and it was delicious. We chartered a long tail boat to go onto a river cruise/ride which included 2 stops. It’s advisable to bargain and we paid 850baht for 1hr 30min trip. First stop was the temple. There are many food vendors and we ate along the way. The stop is only for 20m and time passed by fast. Our second stop is the Orchid Farm. We took a stroll along the rows of orchids. As it wasn’t blooming time, there was really nothing to see and we left within 10min. It was an enjoyable leisure ride along the canal

This is a truly local floating market. There are several zones for you to walk around. You can find a lot of local good food, souvenirs, clothes and etc for you to enjoy. The prices are cheap. The boat tour is a bit boring but nice to see how locals are living. Recommend to go early as it wouldn’t be too hot.

Nice, although a bit touristic, but good if you have some time (few hours) to spend in the surroundings of Bangkok. You can enjoy a trip on the small boat or just walk across the market full of local street food.

This market is very popular and it is for a reason. Food is really good here. Area is huge. Even some attractions available, like long tail boat tour over the canals. Really cute bridges connect both banks of the canal. And something interesting can wait for you on the other side ;)

Price: very reasonable Recommending level (100%): there are varieties of food and the foods are very delicious. Comment: We arrived there around 8:30am and the food stalls had started operating. And, we went to a boat tour for 3 hours with 300baht per person (they agreed to start the tour with 5 persons).

Really good surprisefor a place that we heard that is awful and too touristic. Food there is amazing and like cant be found on markets in Bangkok, The boat trip had a beautiful scenery. Look at the pictures!, It is very big and comfortable with a great weather place. Some tips: 1. Get there early. Before 10. 2. Take a private boat tour. It costs 100 baht per person and worth it. 3. Ask to skip the orchid garden or to be there just for 10 minutes. 4. Get there hungry. Too much delicacies.

This weekend floating market has many stalls, selling a variety of food, vegetables, merchandise etc. We took our time walking thru the market and by the riverside, buying food from the boats and stalls. There are also seating places around the market so you can sit and enjoy the food you bought. Among the few floating markets I visited, this is one that I would go again if I am back in Bangkok.

Oh wow, what an experience this is. they get you into one of the long boats and from there, its hold on and prepare to be entertained as you float through the markets, with everything from beer, food, souvenirs and the best coconut ice cream ever. My tip is to go on the boats without the loud smelly engines and use the one which has a person and a pedal. We then went for lunch which was superb. Tip 2. Do not put your hands outside the boat. Its like bumper cars!

Plenty of local food to choose. Great price, not many tourists around. Be aware the market opens on Sat and Sun only. Weather is too hot so I spend around one and a half hour then leave. Pad Thai is great!

Be sure to come prepared with water and a towel, as the place can get crowded and stuffy especially during afternoons. You'll be rewarded with lots of food and local snacks. It isn't a floating market per se, but you can take a 50 min boat ride from 2pm onwards to visit the nearby village.

Nice floating market located not too far from Bangkok city centre. Food and items are quite cheap, tasty food. Big selection of dishes to try from, as well as drinks and snacks. Seats available throughout the market, locals are friendly

Amazing seafood egg wrap. The spices and taste had me going for a fourth one. I wish we had this in Canada.

This floating market has a boat that takes you to an orchid farm (THB 400 for 2 pax; private boat). They have lots of food options here as well. But do come early as most stalls are closed in the late afternoon.

Very local, not touristy and lovely market! Not necessarily a “floating one”, but still by the canals. It’s HUGE, food is delicious and there is so much choice it’s so hard to choose🤪 there are some 1.5h long boat tours that bring you through this local village on the canals and give you a glimpse of some rural area, right in the outskirts of the city. To get here a cab is recommended.

Enjoyed the boat ride. The vegetables we got were also very organic and cheap. Throughly enjoyed my visit. You can get so many souvenirs to that back home… totally recommend

The market offers a variety of food selection. You can buy your food and sit anywhere. Food is reasonably price. And the boat trip was fun. THB 100 per person or THB 600 if you chartered the whole boat. They will stop by 2 locations, one is the temple and the other is the lovely coffee place. They stop by 20 minutes in each location. The whole trip took about an hour or so. It’s really nice to spend you Sunday going on this trip. We had great time and would definitely recommend this.

Great place to visit on a weekend with some great food and a good boat ride experience. You don't really have to pay a big booking fee to get on the boat, you can pick up a 100 thb ticket when you're there which will generally take you to 2 or 3 stops and return back. Make sure you get the Snakehead fish (pla chon) to eat when there!! Best

Little floating market, 20 km away from Bangkok city center. Cheaper than other floating markets. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Many tasty thai dishes, all kind of seafood, nice atmosphere and good music. Really worth it to came to visit ! ✅

Great to come here. It’s a pretty BIG floating market. A lot of food, drinks, and things. It’s a tourist attraction. Sightseeing tour by boat is 100/person, but you can pay around ฿500 for private boat. Enjoy!!
