Chang Chui Bangkok Plane Night Market has a nice selection of shopping and dining, combined with modern, urban and often wacky art installations. For those staying close to the Old Town and Khao San, this market is quite easy to reach by taxi. If you’re travelling from Bangkok’s downtown areas of Sukhumvit or Silom, it’s best to visit early in the day. Chang Chui Bangkok Plane Market has 18 separate buildings made from recycled materials. Besides the generally cool, artistic vibe, you can enjoy a wide selection of food and craft beer, as well as shop for boutique fashion pieces. The market’s main attraction is the shell of a Lockheed L-1011 Tristar aeroplane. There are plenty of unique art sculptures that make for excellent photos. Families can enjoy slides, treehouses and swings scattered throughout the market. A food pavilion serves Asian and international street food such as fresh oysters, sushi, pizza, ramen, and som tum (papaya salad). Towards the back of the market is a row of bars serving cold beers and cocktails. Chang Chui Bangkok Plane Market has 2 spaces for live performances, usually acoustic and jazz music playing throughout the night. The entire area is pet-friendly, so you’ll see many people with their dogs in the early evenings.

Good timepass. Uniquely themed shops with cheap shopping. Interesting restaurants. Good to chill with friends. Has an aeroplane restaurant in the middle that's quite famous.

Nice place for phototaking as there's lots of huge display that are very artistic looking. Especially the plane itself. There's multiple food and drinks options available. The shopping stalls only starts opening in the evening. Saw skewers and tacos and there was also a Korean restaurant there. Some bars and also an icecream shop. Interesting place to visit! Suggest to come late afternoon so that it's still bright enough for photos and you can eat your dinner and wait for the stalls to be fully open in the night for shopping and drinks!

Yesterday marked our inaugural visit to this venue, yet our excitement was tempered by an early arrival, resulting in only a handful of shops being accessible. However, as the clock struck 3 pm, a vibrant transformation unfolded as numerous vendors diligently arranged their stalls. This revelation hinted that the true essence of this place comes alive in the evening. A noteworthy advantage of arriving before 4 pm is the scarcity of visitors, affording the opportunity to capture photographs undisturbed. Each shop exudes an artistic aura, and the centerpiece—an old airplane repurposed into a high-end restaurant—stands as a testament to the market's unique charm. Despite exploring just one cafe & restaurant, our taste buds were treated to the delightful experience of a scrumptious coconut pie. In essence, this locale distinguishes itself from the typical night market, embracing a more artistic congregation of individuals. For an optimal experience, I recommend visiting in the evening, and accessing the venue conveniently via the red line train, with a bit of additional walking involved.

Omg, this is the best and weird market i have ever been to in Thailand . There is an insects cafe or restaurant which you guys have to try. They make food and dessert with insects. So cool. Also there is a restaurant inside an airplane, so fancy and cool but you should have reservation and you can enjoy there. And more to see there, don't forget to check my YouTube channel about it ( Same name as here )

Very interesting place, many different installations and interesting details. All buildings and shops look very photogenic. On the territory of this "park" there are various cafes, street food, as well as various shops with clothes and vintage items. It is very beautiful here both during the day and in the evening, but still there is a greater choice of leisure activities in the evening.

Just starting to slowly recover from Covid, they now have flea market and stalls selling second hand items on weekends. This artsy place with funky and outlandish decor figures is great for selfie and Instagrammable. Now accessible from MRT Bangbumru station and it is 10-15 walking distance from the station.

Pros: artsy beautiful market. Good for photos. Not crowded. Lots of vintage vendors selling clothing are cheaply priced Cons: little bit far took us 45min from siam by car. Restaurants more expensive. Only found one sit-down restaurant with air conditioning (olive kitchen) Come here for chiller atmosphere and photos. Nothing else to do around the area. 1-2 hour needed.

Let's start with the Parking it sucks. Now the rest of the Park is simply awesome. We got there before 4pm so the complete park wasn't open but before we left they where setting up the market. There's so many different experiences to be had and food everywhere. There was a bit of construction going on I will return after it's done. I will definitely ride my bike the next time.

Beautiful and unique night market. Lots of opportunities to take photos with architecture and art. Restaurants are mid-high price range. Vendors selling handmade goods, hand-sewn clothing, and vintage/second hand pieces as well.

A creative park where you can enjoy variety of restaurants and shops. Beautiful decoration with an actual airplane as a landmark and also serve as a restaurant. Occasionally, there will be special events like second-hand markets and maker jam.

We went to a craft beer festival and it was impossible to find parking so we parked 1 kilometer away and took a taxi. No charge for entry but very crowded. The shops and eateries are ok. It’s worth the visit but be ready for the crowds and rain

Sadly most shops and restaurants seem to go out of business due to the recession as a result of Covid. Still this place is still a popular venue. There are flea markets that offer second hand clothings and accessories. This is also a popular place for people to photograph around. Parkings are available along the rear road, not the front main entrance and can be hard to find a spot, even during the weekday evenings. A few restaurants and eateries available offer good food. Since the place is mainly outdoor, this can be a hassle during heavy rain season. Going there let us think of the old days when this venue gain much popularity in the past.

This is a great place to hang out and have beers and look at cool sculptures and buildings. The shopping is not as much art and interesting crafts as expected and more vintage clothing (which I’m not super into - you make up your own mind).

Enjoyed walking around and taking pictures but other than that didn't find anything that caught my eye. It's a night market that falls in the middle ground of many categories: It has okay art, okay food, okay shopping. Lots of shops were closed too.

ChangChui creative park is worth a visit, although a bit outside BKK city center. Don't go (as I did) very early it gets busy in the evening not before sunset. Lot's of bars, creative artwork, even a plane with a restaurant inside. Nice alternative to the inner city night markets. It is possible to go there quite easily by bus from the Victory monument, but it is a bit chaotic always there so do ask if you are not sure. Just show them a picture of the plane market and they know which bus to put you on to. Bus 515, 539 outbound. Have google maps on and you know more or less where to step out cross the road and you will find it. I did my way back by taxi via Grab Taxi. Easy and safe. Onward trip can take a while due to traffic jams on outbound traffic. On the way back I just asked the taxi driver to drop me off at the nearest skytrain station, which is not that far.

Very wholesome to see this park available and catering to artists. Great mixture of imagination and passion for the arts. I attended the second annual Land of Ink tattoo convention earlier in December.

It is a nice place for pictures and a welcome change from the more famous and crowded night markets..However, there isn't much to see or do (walked around the whole place in around 50-60min) so it isn't really worth the 30min trip and 250-300baht cab fare

Very interesting place, quite secluded but worth a visit if you like industrial art look of it. From 6pm it gets more lively, from fine dining (inside the airplane) to all kinds of fast food it has many options. Also suitable for drinking. Nice market with cheap clothes and accessories by the airplane. Slightly inconvenient to reach without an own car and these days some of the places are closed or looking for staff desperately.

Cool place to go for a night out with lights and music around. The time I was there school bands were playing and a lot of decorations for picture taking. For thrift lovers, its a nice place to find cool and street clothings. Foods are also tasty and limited for halal foods to seafood. Friendly place to walk around and enjoy the night with friends.

Vintage art park with Cafe and restaurant inside. Bit out of city area but if you live near there it's certainly worth a visit in the evening. Very quiet and no people in midday or afternoon.

If your into aviation and visiting thailand its worth it just to see the classic lockheed Tristar. Some nice little bars and restaurants around. Getting a Taxi there and back was the easiest as its quite isolated from the main areas that we could see

Unique night market with some creative statues and arts... Lots of live performances during weekends. Most of the shops are for second hand items . Did not enter the plain restaurant since it's very costly.

It's a great place to have a walk around, take some photos and grab a coffee or bite to eat. We made a day of it, taking the orange boat and a short taxi trip (50 Baht) there and back from Sathorn Pier. Was just getting busy as we left, so clearly its more popular at night. Worth a visit

Not much to do here, not sure whats the hype is, very small plot too. People come here mostly to go to 1 restaurant only which seem to serve high end buffet. Other than the plane nothing else to see. I observed about 80% of the shops are closed for good.

Amazing place and amazing people. Mostly locals and just few tourists. Great choice of food and different bars. Plus fine dining restaurant on the plane with slide 😍 almost every single place have live music during the weekend. You can buy lots of different stuff here, from second hand clothes and collectables to art and handmade things. Highly recommended

3 stars for food and service. A big and spacious restaurant with a wine cellar. The food selection is not bad. $$+

  • 5/5 Jasmine L. 1 year ago on Google
Came here during the day about 1pm and the shops are not fully opened yet. The surroundings were very artsy and there are artistic decorations, graffiti, wall paintings, etc. with lots of greeneries. It looks like there are some bars here, and it'd probably be quite nice to visit in the evening for a drink and chill vibe. I'll be back another night! Bear in mind it's out of town though, and it takes about 1 hour 30 minutes by train (BTS, MRT, SRT) to get here. If you're a fan of antiques, vintage and artistic collections, or if you love planes, this will be a great place to explore.

  • 5/5 Lovie L. 1 year ago on Google
This was a pretty cool place. There more here than meats the eye. The plane itself has a restaurant/bar inside it. I enjoyed it. I likely won't be eating at the same restaurant again. The food was good, but it took forever for me to get my order. There's plenty of others to choose from so I will not discount a star because of that.
