My wife and I had a great dive experience with Trent when the shop first opened in late January. The service was very good. We enjoyed Trent’s calm, professional and laid back style. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of diving in and around Koh Chang, particularly the rich fish life. The HTMS Chang is a standout wreck to dive but the nearby coral reefs really made the trip. We’re excited to visit again soon!

Excellent dive shop, every time i come back. Great education, fun staff, good equipment! I`m a dive master that did work with Trent before he opened his shop and i regularly bring friends for training - and for the wreck diving of course. Thai Ocean Academy is a really good dive shop. The processes, the staff, the equipment, the way they work. Serious when needed, up for fun when possible.

I was a nervous newbie who took a "Discover dive" with Trent and team this week, and I'm so glad I chose this school. Trent's groups are always small, with high attention to detail and safety plus a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. Particularly appreciated this as a solo woman. My instructor Rick was hugely supportive and patient, never rushing me or applying pressure, plus he was great at spotting cool fish I might have missed! This helped me conquer my nerves and have an amazing time. I feel very lucky to have seen the thriving ocean life and coral that is just a few metres below the surface, it's truly unforgettable. Best baht you'll ever spend!

Had good day diving with Bank (dive master) and the crew! Went to HTMS Chang and Blueberry Hill to see some hard funnel corals. Great food on board and the boat is quite safe for me. They were already stunning even in storm season. Definitely will come back in Winter for better visibility!!

Trent's incredible, the gear and boat are great, and the sites and sights are gorgeous! I felt very comfortable diving with Thai Ocean Academy, and will consider no one else the next time I dive around Koh Chang. 100% recommended.

Awesome day diving with these guys, Rick who led our fun dives was super chilled and friendly, made it a really great day. The wreck is awesome, so many fish hanging around the wreck and we had great visibility in most parts, well worth checking out! Thanks Rick and Trent and everyone, highly recommend!!👌👌

Great EFR and Dive Rescue course! I really enjoyed my diving experience with Thai Ocean Academy Koh Chang, especially with Trent my instructor for the Master Rescue Diver, my fave dive buddy in Koh Chang. The course was fun and super enriching, it improved a lot my diving skills, my buoyancy and somehow i feel more comfortable and confident because the course taught me the worst scenarios that could happened and how to handle and solve it, the best course that I will never forget. So, the gig with Trent was like diving into an action-packed adventure! The first part was all about theory, where I read chapters and then discussed them later. And I also answered the quizzes from the lessons. After theory, I was taught in the pool the basic lifesaving skills for myself and for other people. Examples are: when we found diver or someone who has a hard moment of breathing, unconscious, unresponsive, stuck on something, and panicking, among other scenarios both underwater and on the surface. I also learned what to do when I'm on the shore or boat and I spot someone in the water panicking or drowning, and some real life scenarios. The most adrenaline-pumping feat challenging yet very rewarding skill I learned was doing a rescue for someone and do my EFR skills while swimming, towing the victim, and doing resuscitation while on surface and while towing them to the boat (because every second matters!) I think the Master Rescue Diver is a fun course but it is also a course that you need to take seriously during lessons, so you will remember every single part of what needs to be done in any scenarios. The highlight? Nailing the underwater panic and unconsciousness diver plus rescue mission. Picture me diving, towing a "victim," and doing CPR. I have to add that Trent's vibe was a perfect mix of caring and pro. It wasn't just about learning skills; it was about soaking in a mindset of responsibility. The whole rescue dive scene turned out to be a wild ride, leaving me with memories as deep as the ocean floor! 🌊

Cant say enough about Thai Ocean Academy. My wife and I have been diving with them on and off for a few weeks now and are continuously impressed with their operations. We're both divemasters and shopped around a bit to try and sus out good vibes and these guys nailed it. We have never been paired with a class, have had similar skilled divers in our group and have always felt our dive experience was a priority. From the actual dives to the pickup and drop off, everything has surpassed expectations. Great staff, great food, great boat, great shop dog. Do yourself a favor and dive with Thai Ocean Academy.

My boyfriend wanted to give me my PADI open water to enjoy diving during our 10-month trip to Asia. Having had multiple ear problems as a child (eardrums pierced twice...) I had written off the underwater world in my life. Finally, after talking to the Thai Ocean Academy team and trying out a try dive, it seemed possible, so we took the plunge. We passed our open water 20 in three days, step by step with Bank who accompanied us from A to Z. Bank is patient, attentive and motivating. It was a pleasure to learn from him, and I'd recommend him a thousand times over. As well as being very professional and competent, he's also very nice! A golden person. I recommend Ocean thaï Academy Koh Chang if you're looking for a serious, well-equipped and human team! Well done to the whole team !💕

I had the most wonderful experience diving with Thai Ocean Academy!! The dive sites were amazing, including the biggest shipwreck in Thailand that is great for fun photos and tons of fish. Their boat is really nice with bean bags, and the instructors were very fun, knowledgable and patient. Special shout out to Trent the owner and Paul a super dive instructor. They also give you a dive computer to use for free, which is a great bonus!

This was my first “discover dive” in 15 years. I was a bit nervous, but was made to feel completely at ease. Overall, I had an amazing dive. Stunning sea-life, knowledgeable and friendly staff, good and relatively new equipment - and most important for me - a very competent dive master! Would highly recommend Trent and his team for new or skilled divers. Can’t wait to receive our complimentary underwater photos!

I did my Open water and my Advanced course with Trent. After seeing quite a few instructors till now, he still is the one caring the most. Caring about each one of us as it were a 'one on one' dive. Never ever would you feel uncomfortable or insecure with him. He is there for safety, professionalism and the greatest joy in this amazing underwater world. There is a huge difference to others, not only because of ⁴ things, it's also the best, newest and most up to date equipment you can get. Would definitely recommend the experience! Thank you Thai Ocean Academy!

I had the best experience diving with Thai Ocean Academy! They were so professional and serviceminded, and I felt so safe diving with Bank. The equipment is very new and fresh, the boat is nice and the communication before the dive day was seamless. I had never dives at a ship wreck before, but this was no problem diving with Bank! I would really recommend choosing Thai Ocean Academy over any of the other more known dive centers. You won’t regret it 😊

Where to start with my recommendation? Trent is an absolute star and is a credit to the diving industry. Safety is absolute paramount as is customer experience and he will go above and beyond to ensure that you are put at ease. Great set up at the shop and the best dive gear to use as I didn't bring mine on this occasion. Dive sites were stunning and will no doubt be back again when the high season starts for some more diving with Trent and his team. Highly recommended and for me the only dive shop to dive with on Koh Chang. See you soon!

My wife (not certified) and I (certified diver) had great dives with Trent from TOA yesterday. Newer equipment, great visibility, amazing healthy coral, with huge variety and abundance of colourful fish. Dove the WW2 wreck swarming with huge schools of bat and jack fish. Boat crew was attentive and put on a good Thai lunch and snacks between dives. I’d rate this as one of the best of my 100-ish dives in my lifetime. Thanks Trent for taking extra care to calm my wife’s pre-dive jitters!

We did the try dive at Thaï Ocean Academy with Bank. My girlfriend was a bit afraid because she had ears issues in her childhood but Bank was super patient and kind and everything went perfectly so we decided to keep going and we did the Open Water 20. It took 3 days and it was an amazing experience. All the crew is so kind and careful, they always make sure you feel alright, never in a hurry. Bank was super patient with us as my girlfriend needed time to go deep because of her ears. We saw so many different fishes and corals, and even a turtle came say hello to us ! Thanks guy for everything, keep going you're amazing! Special thanks to Bank, we would probably have not made it to the and without your patience and your kindness!
