We ate dinner at the restaurant. Food was very good and tasty, everything came pretty quick after ordering. The portions weren’t very large, you will need to order several dishes in order to be full. Prices are relatively expensive, ~500 BHT per person.

Delicious Indian food in a beautiful setting in the heart of Fisherman’s Village in Samui. We came here twice during our trip and both the food and the service was excellent; Biarela was a great waiter. Love that they have many clearly marked vegetarian and vegan options. Ordered a chana masala, a daal tadka, various breads, samosas, and everything was super tasty. Highly recommended.

Friday night market visit, the area itself was very busy but the restaurant was empty. They had no set menu but we thought we would still give them a go, most of the Indian restaurants offer good set menus. I was very surprised they were charging 220 baht for a glass of Mont Clair boxed wine. The box costs 975 baht in Tesco lotus with 36 glasses in a box that means each glass costs them 28 baht, the most expensive cheap wine by the glass in wine in town. We ordered a chicken jalfazi, chicken madras, garlic naan and plain naan. The chicken dishes were very tick and sauceless. We did request our dishes to to be spicy/hot but they weren't. Overall I thought there are far better options on the island

The Indian restaurant delivered flavorful dishes with a satisfying level of spice, catering well to my preference for heat. However, despite requesting non-spicy options for my wife and son, some dishes turned out excessively spicy for their taste, affecting the overall dining experience.

This is a welcome new Indian restaurant on the island. Teething problems can be forgiven. But our second time to eat here was great. The biryiani and the lamb dishes were fantastic. The vegetarian dishes were also great, some solid spice and heat. The staff are lovely. Just hope the first two reviews don’t put people off. We live on samui and this is now our favourite Indian.

It was okay. Food was great (although my chicken biryani could have had more chicken in it). I had to wait double the time because my order was given to someone else. Credit card machine was "not working". Right on a square in Fisherman's Village, with live music and local businesses, gives it a great atmosphere.

I recently visited Deepawali Indian Restaurant and I was blown away by the quality of the food. It was definitely worth my time and money. The menu is jam-packed with different varieties of indian delicacies, like tandoori roti, naan, and Biryani. I was really excited to try them all out, and I wasn't disappointed. The food was incredibly delicious and rich in flavor. The service was also excellent. The staff were polite and attentive, always making sure that I had everything that I needed. They even brought me a complimentary dessert as a token of their appreciation. Overall, I highly recommend Deepawali Indian Restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Indian meal that will leave them satisfied. I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!
