CAF
KUDEEJEEN,
a
part-time
restaurant
newly
opened
along
the
Chaophraya
River
Walk,
is
a
delightful
hidden
gem.
During
a
leisurely
walk
in
the
Kudi
Chin
area
on
the
Thonburi
side
of
Bangkok,
we
were
fortunate
enough
to
stumble
upon
this
eatery.
The
restaurant
offers
a
spectacular
view,
overlooking
landmarks
such
as
the
Yod
Phiman
Market,
Rajini
School,
Santa
Cruz
Church,
and
Wat
Arun.
It's
also
conveniently
located
near
the
charming
“Windsor”
Victorian
gingerbread
house.
The
staff,
all
part
of
the
same
family,
are
extremely
friendly.
The
restaurant
only
opens
on
weekends
and
public
holidays
because
the
family
members
hold
weekday
jobs
and
do
not
hire
additional
staff.
This
arrangement
creates
a
warm,
familial
atmosphere
in
the
restaurant.
The
dishes
we
tried,
including
Kanom
Chin,
Pad
Thai,
and
Steamed
Pork
Rice,
were
reminiscent
of
comforting,
home-style
Thai
cooking.
We
found
that
ordering
a
variety
of
main
dishes
and
enjoying
everything
together
yielded
a
perfect
balance
of
flavors.
In
summary,
we
felt
extremely
lucky
to
discover
CAF
KUDEEJEEN
by
chance
and
would
undoubtedly
return
if
we
find
ourselves
in
this
area
in
the
future.
We
highly
recommend
it
to
anyone
seeking
authentic
Thai
cuisine
in
a
cozy,
family-run
establishment
with
a
stunning
view.
