It is a home stay as well as a cafe. It is popular to visitors because they showcase the traditional techniques of cotton dyeing, traditional weaving, playing traditional musics, etc. Inside the cafe, it is decorated with traditional utensils, objects, cloths and, etc. They also sell traditional products as well. During my visit, I ordered iced-coffee but they took longer times than expected despite less volume of visitors. The taste was average. They also sell cakes and other foods but of limited choices. There is limited and no proper parking outside. Good for a brief visit to see some Thai traditional method of cotton dyeing and weaving as well as enjoy traditional music. Time of travel: August 2018.

My favorite stop in Khong Chiam. The owner - Prairie, is super sweet and has a passion for fibers and the local community. We learned a ton about cotton production along the Mekong. So many beautiful products for sale- not just fiber products, but also local pottery and jewelry. Amazing hand spun cotton yarn as well. We did not stay there, but would love to come back and stay. Such a peaceful place in town to stay. A gorgeous place for an afternoon coffee. They also offer weaving and indigo dyeing classes! We can’t wait to go back. A fantastic place to pick up gifts for friends back home.

Woven products for sale set out in excellent environment. Weaving machinery, numerous rolls of twine, coffee shop and beautiful views off the Mekong River.

Tohsang Cotton Village (หมู่บ้านฝ้าย ทอแสง) is a home of sustainable cotton textile that located in Hong Chiam district by Mekong River overlook Thai-Laos Border The small producer has a vision to help locals improve their income by sourcing the material from natural resources ; sustainable local farming, hand-dye natural color cotton, traditional hand spun and woven The place has a workshop of cotton making-process from start to finish. The finished products sale in a cafe upstair, along with food and drinks. Take a sip and appreciate the view of Thai-Laos border. If you want to learn more about the authentic cotton making, I would highly recommend Tohsang Cotton Village

Definitely something you’d find in Bali with its decor and landscape. A coffee shop with pastries in a display room of hand woven cotton fabric and some clothes for sale in the boutique shop. The outdoor terrace which over looks the Mun & Mekong Rivers is fantastic and relaxing. . There is a resort also. Worth a visit if you have transportation to visit this peaceful, isolated area.

This café is a part of cotton village. Beautiful decorated with hand made woven fabric. Whole café was set as open-air and outdoor tables with a very beautiful scenery of Mae Khong river. I visited in summer and the weather was hot. Coffee was OK. Non-coffee beverages were too sweet. Local Thai beers and some of craft beers also found here. The price was quite high.

What a gen this place is. Someone said it reminded him of the best of Luang Prabang. Yes it is a café with beautiful furniture and views of the Mekong but that is just the beginning They have displays of traditional textile making and a textile museum. It's just 20 baht to enter the museum or 300 baht for a guided tour. They do sell traditional textile products and apparently people come to buy those from all over Thailand. It is part of the Tohsang Heritage resort complex who feature their products and there are also homestay bungalows with private pools which are in high demand We just drank our coffee with a beautiful view of the Mekong near the 2 colour rivers and wandered around to look at the displays. Really pleasant and a wonderful atmosphere about the place
