Very,
very
well
organised.
Also,
the
ferries
were
very
frequent,
and
the
staff
(including
the
lady
at
the
ticket
counter)
were
very
helpful.
If
you
are
towards
the
pier
and
staying
on
the
other
side
of
the
island,
this
place
always
has
some
transport
available.
It's
a
bit
far
(almost
35
mins
from
Chaweng
and
Lamai)
from
where
most
of
the
resort
and
hotels
are
(including
Bofut,
which
takes
about
20-25
mins).
A
tuktuk
takes
about
100
Baht
from
the
pier
to
Chaweng/
Lamai.
But
while
coming
from
the
other
side,
it
practically
depends
on
your
luck.
The
fare
from
Lamai
or
Chaweng
to
the
Pier
could
be
anything
from
200-
500
(negotiate
well).
Baht,
depending
on
the
time
of
the
day
and
availability
of
transport.
This
is
the
main
pier
that
connects
the
mainland
(Surat
Thani)
and
Koh
Samui.
If
you
are
flying
from
the
Surat
Thani
airport
(or
flying
in..)
buy
the
ticket
from
the
airport
or
Nathon
Pier
(its
bus
plus
ferry
-
about
400
Baht).
One
issue
at
the
pier:
there
are
no
food
stalls
or
anything.
So
if
you
have
to
wait,
then
it's
a
bit
of
trouble.
Bit
ferries
are
very
frequent,
so
usually,
the
waiting
time
is
not
that
much
at
all.
Last
but
not
least,
like
everywhere
on
the
island,
Nathon
Pier
is
very
scenic
and
beautiful.
