Great adventurous!! 50 baht each to go in. Wear good shoes because we need to use robe sometime. It took 15-20 mins to go up there! Amazing view! When you come down check out freedom beach! Beautiful fish and creatures at the beach! You can snorkeling by renting 50 baht from the bar and rent kayak 100 baht.

One of the best views over two beautiful bays of Koh Tao! The way is pretty steep at times, I would definitely recommend wearing normal shoes, I wore regular shoes and still slipped sometimes. View is amazing and for the price of 50 Baht you get Parking, access to the Viewpoint, Freedom Beach with a sunbed and showers. Must visit!

Amazing view. We got there quite early to see the sunrise, and were very happy with the decision. We payed 50 TBH each to get access, well worth the price. Bring your snorkeling gear, and the entry fee will also cover access to a couple of nice beaches. The walk was done in maybe 15 minutes or so. However, the terrain is some times a bit steep, and you can use a rope to help yourself get up more easily. You can see an example in the attached video (at the very end).

Good place if you like climbing stairs then rocks to find a view. Try not to go at the same time as everyone else from your boat as it gets very crowded. Last set of rocks is quite challenging and there is no path so don't bring small children or luggage. Also make sure you have sprayed insect repellent on yourself. Personally I think my time would've been better spent staying on the beach and snorkelling for longer! But that's just personal choice. If you like this review, please give it a thumbs up

What a lovely viewpoint ! It’s not too difficult but a bit exhausting in the heat so bring water- takes around 10-15min to walk up to the top. You have to pay an entrance fee of (I think) 50 Baht but you can also go down to the beach afterwards.

There is a 50 baht entrance fee to access the area, and it's important to note that the climb can be quite treacherous, especially during rainy weather. However, they have ropes in place to assist you in ascending safely. Once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with an amazing view. This little adventure offers a unique and exciting experience, making it worthwhile for those seeking stunning vistas and a sense of accomplishment.

John-Suwan Viewpoint is a slice of heaven on earth! The panoramic vistas of nature's beauty are awe-inspiring. We marveled at the lush forests and crystal-clear waters below. It's a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The trek up is worth every step. Just be prepared for some steep paths. For nature enthusiasts seeking tranquility and stunning scenery, John-Suwan Viewpoint is a must-visit destination.

Stunning place to view the sunset. Some quick research should prepare people for the 100 baht pp fee to visit the viewpoint and freedom beach, so I’m not sure why it is a surprise for them. It’s disappointing that you have to pay to visit nature, but if it helps reduce overcrowding then I’m in support of it, I think the fee is worth it for the view. You ascend some rocks with the help of ropes, it would be difficult for someone who isn’t very fit or mobile, but generally it is fine. It’s a 15 minute walk/climb from where you pay, and there’s plenty of space to park scooters. I’m giving it 4 stars because at the top and at some points along the path there was trash, plastic bottles etc. You would think the fee would go towards maintenance of the path, but unfortunately not. Take your trash away with you!

50 BAHT per person. Walking distance from town center. It was a great walk, apply your mosquito repelent before going up and avoid at all costs before and after heavy rain. It requires some climbing so if it becomes muddy or monsoon rain falls, it could be extremely dangerous. We made it up and down just before heavy monsoon rain fell on us. A very beautiful spot, well worth it. You can buy tickets at the ranger station and park your scooter if you have one. The entry fee also gives you access to Freedom Beach and another beach I dont remember the name ahaha. The dog you see in the pictures made it up before all the tourists so he was resting, immobile while tourists tried their best shot. I was happy the doggy was there. It was nice to see some annoying influencers getting changed into maxi dresses, annoyed by the dog that did not give a damn about their poses and did not move one inch besides some trying to hush him away! The mosquitos were also not caring. So fun. The view is amazing, breathtaking.

Went by bike until reached the parking and ticket booth. The fee is 50 baht which includes parking. The way to the viewpoint was a little bit difficult but I could make it even in slippers. The view is amazing, it better to go in the morning around 9. There are not much people this time.

Absolutely stunning view at the top, and also on the way. Hiking was quite steep, and required a minor climbing with provided rope along the way. I'd recommend to put on a sneaker or hiking shoes, take some water with you, and also make sure to put on sunscreen as well. There's an entrance free 50THB, where you get the access to John-Suwan Viewpoint, and Freedom Beach.

It was quiet around mid day, even though it was a nice day for it. It's a tricky climb up if you are not agile, but there's plenty of ropes to help you. Not wearing sliders would be a good choice. 50baht entrance fee that includes parking, and freedom beach.

Super nice place and a nice view. You have to pay a small entry fee (50 Baht) but it’s totally worth it! The way up is a bit challenging and you have to climb a bit. But it’s totally possible and not that difficult. The entry fee is also for freedom beach and the area around so you can go everywhere.

Top view point of Koh Tao. You need to pay 50THB to enter the are about you will have access to this viewpoint (already worthy) plus two beautiful beaches with facilities (free sunbed, shower...). Worthy to go and careful with the climb, it is not a piece of cake if you go with flipflops...

Mesmerising view of the island. It's a bit up, don't wear flip flops) It's a great place to watch both sunrise and sunset. You pay 50b and get access to it and two beautiful beaches. So you can come in the early morning for sunrise and spend the whole day there!

AMAZING! Such a beautiful view. 50 B entry and you have access to the beach, the viewpoint, parking, etc. The walk up to the view point is quite short but I would not recommend doing it with flip flops! But it’s still possible. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful view point, a little bit of a trek up there but there are ropes if you need and it is well worth the journey! Have to pay 50bhat for entry but with that you can visit freedom beach (beautiful as well!) and a couple of other bays. A great view point in Ko Tao :)

Beautiful view from the top. The climbing ok, but bring good shoes, with flip flops it's can be hard. The top vie point on the rocks so wait that it's be not a lot of people

THE best viewpoint of Koh Tao. There is an entry fee but it is totally worth it, first because the view is stunning, and then because you get access to freedom beach with the right to use a long chair on the beach. The viewpoint will leave you speachless. The way up can be a little challenging at times, using ropes to go up on rocks but it is just about 10-15 minutes walking (do no forget to take water though). And then on top of the rock with the view in front of you, you'll feel like the king of the world.
