Firat of all the food is amazing! The presentation of the dishes will not shame a 5 star hotel... The host Jip is amazing and fun! Great place to eat!

Motorcycle hiring: Do not go here! In the beginning kind and helpfull. But after 10min driving the number plate fell of… Staff was extreemly unkind and overcharged. He even drove away for 20 min leaving us there waiting. We got a new motorcycle and the next day the number plate fell of again. Even the locals told us we shouldn’t have gone there…

What a strange experience we had in this restaurant. When my husband didn’t receive what he ordered, we gently asked the waiter. Some seconds later a lady who seemed the owner came out of the kitchen to yell at us, that the waiter didn’t understand english and that now she had to come out of the kitchen for us to ‘handle our problem’. This is the 5th time i traveled in Thailand and the first time i was yelled to by a Thai person. What a really strange experience it was. Don’t go here. There are a lot of other restaurants in the neighbourhood with sane and polite people running it.

Motorbike reserved, gave deposit... No motorbike at that day. Due to peak season no motorbikes available. Don't trust that old unfriendly woman

Hard to explain how superficial it is. All the writeups said don't go but my wife and I wanted to try and test if it's all true. The food portions are small (my spaghetti wouldn't feed a mouse) and my wife said hers was not nice. The waitress comes across as overly polite and I get a sense that if you don't like your meal and complain you would have the Mafia come calling. It's well frequented but I truly cannot understand why. My spaghetti was okay but if I make a comparison to my other meals in Koh Phanang, it was terrible. The place has a welcoming atmosphere from the street but it just has a "get in, enjoy and go" feeling. Was offered scooter and vehicle hire while there so I almost felt like asking the price of the vehicle service it felt so awkward. Won't go again as I am generally easy going and am not a stickler for nonsense but this place has to be experienced to be believed.

We came back here several times while we stayed in the area. Welcome was always brilliant and they coped well with us. They have a massive menu, but they coped with our requests everytime, even my wife who is vegan. I had the Mussaman curry several times which was excellent. Owner was great we went there on our final night. Highly recommended.

Excellent service and food. I had a “Mussamam” with tofu it was a great portion. Cheap and delicious 😋 I totally recommend.

The food here is absolutely amazing. This is one of best meals we've had during our month long stay; fresh and perfectly spiced. The owners are warm and welcoming, beer is cold and a cute atmosphere. Thanks Jib!

This motor hire shop ruined my trip. They started off as nice, honest people but ended up charging us for things on the moto they didn’t properly fix… In the first 10 min the license plate fell of and instead of taking their responisability they charged unseen prices. After taking another scooter the same thing happened wich is certainly not a coincidence. We had it fixed in a different shop for a franction of the price. The whole place is a scam if you ask me and so did the locals we asked for help. Don’t let them SCAM you!

SCAM!!!! NEVER RENT A MOTORBIKE THERE IF YOUR SAFTY IS IMPORTANT TO YOU!!! One of the worst experiences out there. This is a family business, managed by the mother, who is a rude, aggressive, untruthful person! We rented a bike, and the breaks got broken after a couple of downhill runs. We called the shop, the mother/manager answered and soon started yelling at us and told us we are too far for them to come to us, and to bring the bike back ourselves although it has no rear break, or to go and fix it ourselves!!! Then, when we declined to do so, she just hung the phone and blocked us on WhatsApp. We eventually went to a bike repair who told us the back breaks are gone and it’s hazardous to ride it even. This is the third bike shop I went to I. Thailand and the only one who were so irresponsible and so rude. NEVER RENT A MOTORBIKE THERE IF YOUR SAFTY IS IMPORTANT TO YOU!!!

Amazing Thai food, really tasty dishes available for reasonable prices. For the quality and quality of the food, it is extremely great. The staff are really welcoming and friendly too. I highly recommend dining here for lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed with the quality and taste.

We loved everything about this authentic place. The owners are hard working thai people who are serving honest home cooked meals. We make friends with their sweet baby daughter Money, who was hanging out with our kids by the end of the evening. Hungry for some authentic thai? Don’t hesitate….

The Thai cuisines and dipping sauces were absolutely delicious. We stopped here for lunch. The service was efficient and friendly. We ordered the fish sticks from kid's menu for my daughter (so flavorful), the red curry with prawns (rich and creamy), the chicken wings(surprisingly crispy and delightful), and the shrimp thin spring rolls ( fresh and the sauce was so good). Lunch was perfect.

Very nice people! Nice Restaurant and Bike rental, I can highly recommend this shop. We had a bike for 10 days and even late in the night we had some easy maintenance done by the owner and his colleagues on one of those days, this was great! The food in the restaurant was awesome too! Next time Jip Shop will be our first choice again! 🙏

Beautiful food! So good we came back twice! A definite must when staying nearby. The host is so welcoming and thanked us profusely for returning to her restaurant again. I think the medium rating comes from the motorbike rental side of things but food-wise we couldn’t fault it. 10/10 from us. We ordered the pad Thai, the sweet and sour and the green curry - all beautiful. Only comment would be there’s not much rice with the curry but it was enough for us.

i’ve been comin to Jip shop restaurant for many years now.. i never been disappointed! it is a pleasure to see Jip or just meet her for the first time.. the staff is nice and very efficient. the food is just perfect.. you can even rent a bike or a taxi.. i definitely recommend this place!

The best tamarind sauce I've ever had! Shrimp or fish, eaten with divine garlic fried rice. Marvelous !

They have some of the best food you can find in Thailand! We have travelled this country for more than 12 years, and always make sure to come back during our stays at the island!

Woman is very pushy. Got the worst food poisoning in my life from their red curry chicken. If you have given this a 5 star review, you have never eaten good Thai food. Please do not ever give this place any of your money

That authentic thai flavour came through in all dishes, Over 15years experience in a large variety menu . fresh, adequate meal portions & priced accordingly. Thnx also for the tips on where to explore . We will return & highly recommended your restaurant

Jip makes really delicious food. Especially the Phangan Curry and the Tom Kha Goong are the best I've ever had. You should also try the Chicken with Cashews 😋 they are very friendly and help you with everything. You can also rent scooter there and they have a Taxi-service.

Absolutely stunning variety of Som Tam And green Mango Salad. Presented nicely, fresh ingredients and flavorful! I had it with prawns and they were fresh. The cashew nuts with prawns were fantastic! Decent portions, nice ambiance, fantastic flavor. Thank you I come again

Called in here for a drink and then decided to eat here. Fabulous large menu choice. Had a Thai chicken starter which was fabulous. Had a pork and chilli with basil leaves which was also fantastic. My partner had a massaman curry which was a bit on the sweet side otherwise we would have scored 5 for the food. Service was a bit slow even though it wasn't heaving. I think this was down to the chef also trying to babysit however we were not in a rush so not a massive problem. Would definitely recommend trying it as it's probably the tastiest food we have had in our 4 nights in this resort. Looks really inviting at night so give it a try and make your own mind up. If we were hear longer I would definitely have gone back. They also had trip advisor awards from a few years back displayed.
