+ Great location on top of a hill offering an amazing sea view + Room was spacious & bed was huge + Staff was really attentive, esp. with helping to rent a scooter despite town-wide shortage + Hotel is close to the most beautiful beach on the west coast (Secret Beach) - Hotel room design was rather sterile and had no real theme - Bed sheets were always clean, however heavily stained from sunscreen from past tenants (not ideal for the general look and feel) - Water in the shower was either boiling hot or ice cold

This place has really nice staff and awesome pool view. But I didn't like that it's impossible to rest in this hotel, because there is so bad sound isolation that you can hear every step of your neighbours, every door shout, every water splash. I had neighbours on top who didn't sleep at night at all and they were really loud. After two days without sleep I've asked to give me another room because it wasn't possible to live there for me. So the girl on the reception gave me another room, which without neighbours on top but a little bit cheaper than the first one. Because they didn't want to pay me the difference of rooms cost, they suggested me to go to a massage in their place. Ironically it was so loud during massage that it wasn't possible to relax. I don't know why they did repair on Saturday but a hammer was knocking the whole time while I was on massage. It was like the most ironical situation in my life. So if you like it when it's quite - this hotel just is not for you. If you don't care about noise - it's beautiful place with nice service.

I go here almost every week for to swim and work at the pool. The pool is an infinity pool & has a beautiful sea view. My girlfriend teaches yoga here and I love to visit here. The staff are friendly and service oriented. They have an amazing co-working space and the food/ coffee is good here.

A fantastic hotel that has everything you need in a great location. Clean, beautiful rooms. The views are incredible. The steam/sauna/ice bath open on Tuesday and Wednesdays is 1 of the best I’ve ever been to. The best part about the hotel is the hotel manager Elaine. She was so helpful, she genuinely cares and goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great stay. I would highly recommend a stay at Sunset Hill.

Amazing infinity pool with beautiful views, clean spacious rooms and friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing, luxury escape. Enjoyed our food from the hotel restaurant and drinks at the pool bar. Approximately 12 minute walk to the nearest grocery shop, and 10 minute walk to the beach.

The name of the hotel absolutely fits. We had some amazing sunset views from the hill, just by going on the balcony or going to the pool or restaurant! The staff was really well trained and spoke very nice English. Any problem or wish we encountered they fixed for us. E.g; the room from the hallway was very bright and didn’t turn off at night for emergency reasons - they came and build a shade for the glass. All dark now. Perfect! They where very attentive: the kitchen faucet was dripping. We didn’t say anything and when returned back, we suddenly had a new one installed. No more dripping. They just got it fixed. Very nice !! It was very nice and quite, except for the pool which had some hit music played- not so great. Why not play some nice cafe del mar Ambiente music? Would make the pool a beautiful experience..even more! The restaurant was friendly, clean and very nice Food. We have no complains at all. All in all, service, room, food, location = so great! We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks and miss it already.

I had a great stay here! The front desk was helpful in arranging taxis for me since I didn't want to rent a scooter and I appreciate the shuttle service down to Secret Beach. Beautiful infinity pool with gorgeous sunsets. It's nice being up the hill and away from the street noise.

Amazing hotel. Top class, absolutely spotless rooms, excellent housekeeping and overall service. The facilities are amazing - the view from the pool and rooftop café are unforgettable. Short walk down to a very hipster beach with a great beach bar/restaurant, or the hotel provide shuttles for free. Great on-site restaurant with reasonable prices. Would absolutely recommend for anyone staying on Koh Phangan. The staff were universally helpful and lovely. The receptionists were highly professional and helpful, able to deal with any query at all (thank you Elaine!) Would also definitely recommend getting a Thai massage here. We stayed in a room with a sea view. If possible, definitely pay the little extra for this - it is SO worth it!

We had booked a garden view room but upon arrival the reception let us know they upgraded our room to a sea view, the room was amazing! Very spacious and clean, AC was good and bed was very comfy and soft. The view from our room balcony and the pool was incredible! Delicious food could be ordered to the pool and also the roof top bar, top notch service. Location was ideal, very quiet and calm but also just a short scooter ride away from closest beaches and 7/11 etc. We even got to try out the sauna and it was surprisingly good (i am Finnish), even tho you were not allowed to throw water on the rocks :D. Would happily stay again (next time i would def book the sea view, its worth it)!

We had a great experience at Sunset Hill Resort. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool, with an amazing panoramic view of the ocean. Friendly staff, and delicious food. We also tried their Ice bath, sauna, and outdoor fire experience, It was awesome Hightly recommended

Our stay at Sunset Hill was absolutely lovely! The ladies in charge of hospitality took such good care of us. Communication was quick and clear. The view from the pool was incredible. Our rooms were clean and maintained very well everyday. We also got to experience a relaxing massage. Although the resort is located up a hill, they still provided a shuttle to take you up and down. Would highly recommend staying here. All of our needs were well taken care of, and we graciously thank the Sunset hill team for their hospitality!

I came for three days and in the end I decided to stay for two weeks, the place is simply amazing in its beauty! The rooms are very clean and tidy. The pool is one of the most beautiful you will see in the area and the entire staff is amazing! It is important to note that the owner of the place is simply stunning and takes care of everything you need, she even took care of bringing someone to rent me a scooter for the whole period! There are not many words that can describe how perfect the place is! If I come back here? I have no doubt!

Love it! Spent a few evening in this SPA. They have 3 different saunas and an infinity pool with views to die for. Excellent facilities - clean and well maintained. Friendly staff.:) So far it's been the best spa-sauna experience on this island. It is also super nice to grab a drink at their restaurant after all the heat (killer views:) Thank you!

I can only speak for coworking space and kitchen. Best priced cowork, 200 baht per day or cheaper options for more days. Good service and enough space, great inside and amazing outside. The host at the rooftop is a great guy and its always a pleasure to be greeted back by him

We loved our stay at Sunset Hill so much we extended it twice. Elaine at reception is so kind, smart and helpful. She takes great care to make sure every guest is happy and comfortable. We felt right at home. The views are breathtaking. The coworking space is the perfect spot to work, have a meal or watch sunset. We didn’t have a single complaint. We will be back.b

Stayed here for a few weeks during low season / beginning of high season. Awesome place, really. Nothing to complain. Obviously, food can't be as good as in the top-notch restaurants like Sunshine Restaurant or breakfast at Bubba's, but all in all fresh and solid Thai food options. Will come back next season.

What an absolute pleasure to stay at the sunset hill Resort! Reina and staff were so amazing and even though the rooms are a bit outdated , everything is in working condition and clean! Hardly any bugs , only a few geckos on the walls at night and some mosquitos. The food was great! The staff honestly went above and beyond to make us comfortable and I honestly cannot thank them enough 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Located on the West Coast FAR from the Full Moon Party (thank God). 5/5 for everything. The service was AMAZING from everyone in the resort. From the Team at Reception - Kevin (ya waka), Khunit, Daw, & Rein (who was available 24/7). Jimmy at the Bar made excellent drinks and provided excellent conversation. The food at Sunset Hill (especially breakfast - do try the Eggs Benedict) never let me down. The kitchen staff were wonderful. Do not hesitate when booking this accommodation. The Infinity Pool and the views were INSANE, all rooms with balconies from the most expensive to the cheaper options all had wonderful views. Trust me - stay at Sunset Hill. I have been to Koh Phangan at least a dozen times and going forward, I will only stay at Sunset Hill. Thank you again to all the Hotel Staff who made the experience all the better.

Most amazing views from the infinity pool. The rooms are lovely and the restaurant is just amazing. Laying down while having a lunch or dinner in front of the view. There is a yoga class in the morning and massage can be arranged by the pool. Really recommended.

Our time in Koh Phangang was made so damn special, all thanks to the amazing Elaine, who is the most attentive manager I have ever met. She genuinely cares so much for every single guest she meets and goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy. I am so grateful for everything she has done for us during our stay, and wish her all the best in life. She deserves the world. It’s rare to meet someone who cares so much about other people and I feel very fortunate to have met her. I will miss seeing her everyday if I’m being honest :( Elaine was the highlight of my trip 100% our stay wouldn’t have been the same without her being there ! She made our stay the most memorable trip it could’ve been. I’ll be forever grateful! Definitely recommend visiting Sunset Hill Resort, everyone deserves to meet Elaine at least once. She’s the best !

This resort was everything we hoped for, plus some extras. The infinity pool is perfectly situated on a hill with a gorgeous view of the sea, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, my father loved using the sauna, the restaurant kitchen is visible and hygienic (I don't eat where I can't see the kitchen) and the food is delicious and fairly priced. Elaine, the manager, was extremely attentive to our needs and desires and made our stay easy, relaxing, relaxing, and fulfilling. The staff is very nice and personable in general, and I felt very at-ease the whole 6 nights we stayed here. 10/10 would stay here again.

Haven’t stayed here but used their co-working space and sauna. The co-working area is very big with comfortable office chair and tables in an air conditioned room, plus plenty of outdoor seating and good wifi. They offer a large menu with generous portions to keep you satisfied while you work. The sauna and ice bath facilities are very clean and well maintained. A bit pricy (350 bhat) compared to the usual 200-250 elsewhere on the island, and only available 7-10pm on Monday and Thursday. They do provide tea and water.

Absolutely one of the most INCREDIBLE resorts I've ever stayed at. Such gorgeous accommodations, stunning views, beautiful decor, stunning infinity pool, delicious healthy meals served by their wonderful staff, and the OUTSTANDING customer service provided by the hotel manager, Elaine was 2nd to none. She consistently went above and beyond our expectations, even endeavouring to reschedule & rebook our Elephant Sanctuary tour in Koh Samui before we even asked so we could have extra time to sight see. Sunset hill is very lucky to have her because she truly worked so hard to attend to all our needs & made our stay absolutely PERFECT!

Really nice resort with an incredible infinity pool. Staff were great, room was nice. Staff helped with scooter hire, laundry, transfers. There's yoga, sauna, ice bath etc. Co-working space was excellent. Food is available and good, restaurant area is beautiful, but opened late and closed pretty early and was cash only.

My experience at Sunset Hill was amazing, and it is a huge thanks to Elaine! She helped my friend and I book our massage, and after some complications with time due to a tour, and managed to fit us in late at night. She made us feel comfortable and ensured had the best time. The room was lovely, however the bathroom door wouldn’t close, so we had to put a chair in front of it. But other than that, it was incredible! Beds were super comfy and I had the best sleep.

Nice hotel with great sunset view! It’s perfectly located. Elaine from the reception deserves 10*stars, she’s lovely - so helpful and always friendly! There were just a few little details I didn’t like as much, e.g. the bathroom, as it was very small with no separate shower. Everything was under water after showering, and with two people it was always wet. But of course this is just a minor thing ;-)

The best Sunset view on the Island from the Penthouse. The staff was extremely professional and accomoding for me and my friends. Thank you Elaine and your team for enlightening our vacation. I cannot wait to come again next year with my family this time. The pool was exceptional and clean. We had everything we needed and our time there surpassed all our expectations! Bottom of the hill, an amazing authentic Thai restaurant where you cook your own food at the table and also another two minute walk to a secluded Secret Beach!! Super chill, little great tiny resto also, messages on the beach and a great guy selling his own handmade jewellery. Once again thank you Elaine you were amazing!

Beautiful location with amazing views.. room was enormous and comfortable and obviously clean 🥰 but the best thing here are the people. The staff is super nice and very helpful ( especially in times like now with all procedures involved in travelling) I’m certain I’ll be back

OMG the pool & the massage, the best I had in Thailand! The room was very clean & big and the lady at the reception nice. I didn't enjoy walking the hill up after dinner or coming from the beach (15 min walk - high temperatures) if you don't have car o motorbike is a minus. Opening times are not great neither, 9-19h (reception & restaurant included). The walls must be thin because you can properly listen other conversations from people outside of the room, the fridge was too noisy - we needed to turn it off at night and the terrace didn't have light, so you couldn't use it at night unless you have candles.

The view is amazing and I stayed there for a longer time and would love to give 5 stars but the building has a big problem: the floors don’t have any sound-proofing so when your upstairs neighbors walk it’s insanely loud. It’s like you’re living inside of a drum. So it’s a bit of a gamble about who’s staying above you. When they have similar sleep times it’s ok. But one time there was a heavy dude sleepwalking at night and it woke me up several nights in a row (despite sleeping with earplugs). Other than that it’s a good place. Manager and staff is very friendly and helpful. Cleaning is great. Internet is good. Pool is super nice.
