It's been a while now, but I still have fond memories of Thom's cooking class. 16 hours, of ingredients, cooking, eating, cooking, eating, eating... so much food ! I can't believe I paid so little for this class. You don't have to stay that long, and there is a break in between lunch and dinner, but you'll find yourself having a blast and losing track of time. Thom is great, curses like a sailor, and incredibly authentic. I did the class, and my wife and son popped in throughout the day to rate the dishes themselves. I still use the recipes and shopping tips years later. When someone asks me about Thailand, this class always comes up. Lastly, I'd say this isn't a difficult class. If you can cut vegetables, you can do this class. Make sure to sign up!

Best Indian restaurant in Pai and one of the best restaurants overall! We came almost at closing time but the owner accepted us happily and was very gracious. The menu has plenty to offer for authentic Indian cuisine, and you can choose the level of spiciness. We chose the chicken tikka masala and the chicken balti, both were great. My girlfriend asked for salads, so the owner surprised us with a free salad they made off the menu. The place also has Thai cooking class which we didn’t got a chance to try. Definitely recommend having dinner here to escape the main street.

I had such a great day with Thom and David! They teach you so much, not just to learn how to make the dishes you have chosen. The class is run extremely professionally but most importantly is so much fun! The team there are such warm people, I wish I could have returned to practice the next day! Thank you Thom and David for nursing me back to health ❤

If you're looking for a cooking class, look no further, this is the best one in pai! We had a great time making all kind of traditional Thai dishes with the best teachers in town.

We were in Thom’s cooking class and it was above our expectations! The experience is beyond what you expect, simply a whole day of cooking, learning on culture, laughing and friendship. I really recommend everyone who visits Pai to come to this cooking class and not settle. Sign up and enjoy!

Great Indian restaurant in Pai town, very tasty food and drinks, affordable prices for the high quality where you can taste that everything is freshly made with whole foods, the best part is the lovely owner Thom, she has amazing energy and we were happy to meet her! It is a popular spot for a good reason.

After being in Tom's workshop, we want to recommend it wholeheartedly! The workshop begins with detailed explanations about Thai food, continues with a visit to the local market, and the preparation of four dishes per person. After each course, the whole group sits and eats together what everyone has prepared. Tom is professional, funny, cordial, with broad knowledge and excellent English. Our workshop lasted 7 hours, every moment was simply an experience. Highly recommend!!!!!!

This was an amazing experience! I went with two of my friends and was highly impressed by Thom’s cooking experience, humour and kindness and overall love for cooking all foods! Throughout the day Thom explained a lot including the different spices, herbs and vegetables, how to cook using a wok and chop the vegetables. The food we made tasted great and I really enjoyed that dishes were cooked individually cutting and cooking for ourselves whilst other dishes were made together. The whole day was a delight and created a lot of memories including dancing to ABBA songs! Thank you Thom for the wonderful experience. I could not recommend it more!

Lauren and I cannot say a bad word about Pee Thom and the cookery course that she taught us. There was a huge array of options for us to cook, taste examples of key ingredients and a highly educational trip to the market. However, the best bit about the course was Thom and how she guided/taught us throughout. We have learnt so much to take home with us. If I was to visit Pai again, I would 100% seek out Pee Thom and pay for a second course.

This review is for the Bebe wok n roll cooking class. It was my first time ever taking a cooking course and I imagined it to be a carefree tourist activity with friends but I left feeling like I’d completed a long day of intensive chef training. I came along with two fellow Muay Thai mates and we visited off season so it felt like we had a private with Thom. It was a joy to experience her humor and animated personality. The program is very thorough and requires you to pay attention because you will be lightly quizzed and no mercy will be taken when it’s time to perform haha Our day went like this: 1. Pre-chat, cookbook review, dish selection Coffee and breakfast snack was offered 2. Visit to the market and ingredient explanation including how to find it in your home markets. 3. Back to the school for a review & product tasting. (We also picked up these delicious street snacks in town. We did NOT go hungry). 4. Individual ingredient prep 5. Time to cook! We first watched Thom then cooked at our stations. There was even a little contest of “hottest chef” judged by Thom. I won! :) We ate together sharing plates as a group. The cooking part got a little intimidating, but there was support throughout. The dishes we made were yum woon sen, red curry, and tom yum soup. Our class ran a bit long, but Thom accommodated as needed. Overall, it's a worthwhile class that left me with a genuine sense of achievement.

Going to echo everything people have said. The cooking course was amazing! Both Thom and David were exceptionally welcoming and hilarious. They were super approachable, down to earth and just overall pleasant to be around. The course itself is indepth; I had been on other courses in Thailand but none of them covered things like flavour profiles and history quite like this one. During the day you are taken to a market, given the opportunity to taste, touch and smell produce/sauces and other ingredients and then given practical examples of how to alter tastes to your needs in a very open and friendly way. Honestly, the food we made was delicious and there was a ton of it; you will not need to eat before or after the course. We were all given the option to return later in the evening and reheat our meals to enjoy them once we were ready, which we did. Thom caters to both vegetarians and vegans and has a wicked sense of humour alongside great English (she worked in the UK). If I could fault anything in this course, it would purely be *some* of the other participants who didnt seem as interested to take in all of the valuable information being provided by Thom and David. Would happily take another course and I would be super interested to learn how Thom makes her Indian food as it looks spot on. Will provide another review once we get chance to try it! Thank you Thom and David!

My English friend and I had dinner Sunday. While the Garlic Nan was a disappointment (thick, chewy and no garlic to be see) the other five dishes we had were amazing and some of the best Indian food either of us have ever eaten. The restaurant is open air, very roomy and has large tables. The two Thai staff were charming. Highly recommend this establishment - just not the Nan ;)

The cooking class with Thom was amazing. We would definitely recommend taking the half day course. We started at 9:30 with a small breakfast and ended at around 16:00. The class included a tour to the market and several dishes for everyone. In the evening we were allowed to come back to their place and eat the leftovers of our prepared meals we couldn’t finish at lunchtime. Thom is very nice and explains very well. Overall we paid 1000 per person.

I have been to many cooking classes all over South East Asia, and I can say that this one is the best I have been to. Thom is a thoughtful and caring teacher, who is super attentive to all her students. She really instills confidence in her students, as well as having a wicked sense of humour. The Indian restaurant is also very much worth a visit, absolutely delicious.

We did the cooking class, it was a full day experience and A LOT of fun. We learnt so much about the basics of Thai cuisine, soups, stirfrys, curries and of course mango sticky rice. Thoms energy is great and fun to be around. Thank you for the memories 💕🍜🍛🍚🥗

Really good, tasty and fresh chicken Tandori Leg (not just tight) as a starter but filled me up like a proper dinner with the nan bread. Would recommend and visit again to try other dishes.

Had two good experiences here, but the third time I got terrible food poisoning from beef that was spoiled in hindsight. Already thought it looked and tasted a bit off but figured it's probably the spices.. 8 hours later the worst night of my life starts.

Thom’s masterclass is brilliant. We did one from 10am to about 4pm, which included a trip to the market while she explained the different foods and brands and ingredients and qualities to look out for. Then back to her restaurant where we made three dishes: pad Thai, a curry and a coconut soup, though she gives you choices (best to go the day before to sign up). She provides a booklet with recipes and explanations, goes through it step by step and shows your how to prepare, organise, choose according to your taste and cook efficiently. And you take breaks to eat (and gossip). The food was excellent but Thom is what makes it so fun: she’s blunt and funny and swears liberally and laughs even more so. Guaranteed good time and learned so much, truly the highlight of our trip to Pai. Would go again in a heartbeat, for new dishes…

Once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thom- teacher, is an amazing person with incredible cooking skills. She knows what she does, is very confident and helpful. Dynamic, positive and true person. Wish to stay longer in Pai and take classes with her even for few more days. If you really want to learn and experience authentic Thai cuisine, Thom is the right person to approach. The course takes all day, you learn fundamentals of thai cooking, prepare delish dishes, eat, have fun and enjoy dinner at the end of the day. Unique place, lovely staff, you feel like with family. I truly recommend it!
