Had an awesome stay here. Beautiful views, the owner is super nice and helpful and brings a really great energy to the place! Offers scooter rentals at a competitive price compared to the rest of the island. The bungalow itself was so cute, I had a little baby lizard as a roommate but it's to be expected out here! It's a 5/5 from me for what this place is advertised as.

Well.. I read good reviews and I read the bad ones and can agree to all of them, but we still chose to stay here again and again. We have stayed in at least 10 different hotels, villas and bungalos on this island, and I can say that even 7000 baht villas has instects in and outside of them, so this place is no different. The only differnce - villas will have a warning sign to not leave any food out and keep doors closed so moskitos will not get in. What is better - use of harsh cemicals in every corner or just understand that this is nature and just live with it side by side? Yes, this place need some repairs to be done, but all the places in this budget range if not freshly buit will have the same issue here in Thailand. Everything in pictures looks better in every hotel we have been in. Location - no steep driving or walking, close to bars and reataurants, great snorkeling right in front of this place. BUT you can hear music from the beach and also maybe some driving if your house is close to road. View is great! Pool is cool. They gave is free watermelon.

Gross misrepresentation online. This hotel is extremely run down, rotting wood and structures, infested with roaches and ants, everything in poor repair or not working no at all and the service is poor and fraudulent. Power hazards all over the property including on unlit walking paths. No security at all. I’m convinced that positive reviews were paid for. We booked for 5 nights and didn’t even want to stay the first. Told no cancellation so we contacted the company we booked through. After several hours of back and forth we were reimbursed for 3/5 nights only, and wasted half a day. The manager tried to exchange his phone to us in return for the reimbursement which was crazy- why would we want his phone? The owner is offsite and unavailable for resolutions. We will be reporting to every booking site so others can be aware. This entire property needs replacement. To top it off, we were actually bitten by the roaches on site. They also rent scooters and we watched several unhappy renters come and go with issues, property tried to demand their passports also. The photos are deceptive, I highly recommend you pass and book elsewhere.

Manager is friendly and helpful, we were able to rent a motorbike off of him too. Rooms were big and provided with water. Pool could be cleaner but it has a good view of the beach and sunset. About 7 minutes walk from/to the pier which was helpful and very close to Sairee beach too. Overall needs some TLC.

I only have positive things to say about this place. The manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure we got a good deal on a scooter. The location was unbeatable, looking down on the water and the room was very clean and everything worked perfectly. Even a new AC!

Clear View Resort was a great choice and experience for us. Located right by the ocean with an awesome infinity pool. Our room was very spacious, with a nice A/C The service was very friendly and attentive. We also rented a motorbike from them at a reasonable 200 Baht per day. We enjoyed our evenings on the balcony with a great view of the sunsets. It is located in a quiet area of the island, which makes it a great place for families. If you want to join the more active area of the island, it is all at about 10 - 15 minutes walk, or a short ride. When we return to Koh Tao, we will definitely stay at Clear View Resort again.

Great location and friendly staff. Rooms are very basic, but the view is nice. Good value for money, but nothing luxurious.

The manager is a real character (in a positive way) he goes out his way to accommodate his guests.. Location is great, easy acces to the sea and pool Just a wonderful place to unwind and relax Yes the villas need a bit of TLC but that’s maybe a part of the Thai experience
