This is a small regional airport. There are only 3 gates, that's compared to only one gate and waiting area 3 years ago. There are no ramps, passengers get on the plane from the runway, which an experience its own. There are not many shops in the terminal, just 3. So if you're planning on shopping, you should do your shopping before arriving to airport. Airport personnel are courteous. There are plans that this airport will be upgraded even more to add international flights. Currently even it's named 'international", there are no direct flights from anywhere outside the Thailand. However, it should be credited that you don't need an adapter for charging your devices, because plugs are generally internationally modified across in all Thailand.

A small airport with a new terminal. There are many cafes in the airport that you can enjoy food, desert, and beverage. Arrive early if you have checked baggage or to avoid 2 flights departing at the same time. The terminal is next to the old one. It is spacious but there are a few stores open due to the terminal is recrntly open for business. Taxi, limo and car rent are available on the ground floor.

The airport is new and they have constructed it 90% Everything was perfect until I went to use the washrooms. The locks of the door were useless and I had to use the washroom without locking the door.

You can buy a ticket at the booth to go to the town or Samui and Phangan. It is less crowded than the surathani airport.

Small local airport. New bigger terminal is building. One coffee shop inside the terminal which sell dim-sum, original southern style coffee, juices and hot bun. Good while wait for the flight.

Over the past several years this has had a complete facelift with the old terminal building being remodelled from a single-story building which you had to walk out from to board the plane or walk to from the plane, to a two-story modern steel and glass structure with modern boarding from three gates. The car Park area has also been revamped with many more spaces available. Unfortunately, both the car park and the terminal building lack clear signs to indicate where you need to go, but hopefully, this has yet to be done as the final phase.

They have built a shiny new International terminal here, it's not in operation yet. It does improve the place a lot much cleaner with better aircon etc it also means they have installed AirBridges rather than the walk across the tarmac. Not sure if Domestic flights will return to the old terminal once the new International is up and running fully.
