It's quite a large platform with a breathtaking view of Chiang Mai. You can park your vehicle right after the curve of the street and walk to the end of the viewpoint. Next to the viewpoint, there's a sort of stair that leads to a bathroom (unused, abandoned and dirty) and a little stall where you can buy refreshing drinks. I suggest you stop here for a few minutes and take at least one photo of the landscape, it's worth it.

It's good to have a view for Chiang Mi. Thankfully, it was no rain, but the view was just ok. 30$ for the entry, 20$ for the lift. We spent 40 minutes rode the scooter up there by ourselves, and it's cheaper than the taxi. The road is ok and easy to ride. I believe the night view up there will be better. However, it might be dangerous to go up there by scooter at night.

Incredible panoramic viewpoint, with the whole valley of Chiang Mai laid out in front of you. Easy to make out the old city perimeter and other large buildings and landmarks. There were ice cream and drink stands there.

Beautiful view and very busy place with tourists. So many dummies ringing the monk's bell when signs say DONT RING BESLLS! Dont be a dumb tourist please! The steps up were great photo ops as well as excercise. Bought some nice ripe strawberries at the bottom as they are sold locally. Bought some strawberry wine but after one small glass it becomes too much for me. Stunning views of Chiang Mai, I wonder what it would look like at night.

This spot worth a little stop when on the way up Doi Suthep, nice view in the morning for sunrise when the air over the city is not too charged with pollution

Took my motorbike up there at 6.30 pm . I hoped that the traffic would have eased and I get a nice ride up. Unfortunately, that was not the case. But once I got to the viewpoint, it was worth it. Breathtaking view of a beautiful city. 5 stars for the view and a few fewer stars for the ride up.

During the day, the Chaloemphrakiat Pavilion at Doi Inthanon National Park presents a majestic spectacle. From this elevated vantage point, Chiang Mai sprawls below like a vibrant tapestry woven into the lush landscape. The daylight view is a breathtaking panorama, showcasing the city's unique blend of urban charm amidst nature's embrace. As the sun sets and dusk descends, the transition from day to night unveils a whole new enchantment. The city gradually lights up, casting a mesmerizing glow against the darkening horizon. Witnessing this transformation from the pavilion is akin to seeing a constellation of lights shimmering amidst the serene darkness, creating an ethereal and captivating sight. Witnessing this transformation from the pavilion is akin to seeing a constellation of lights shimmering amidst the serene darkness, creating an ethereal and captivating sight. The experience at both times of day is uniquely captivating. The daytime reveals the intricate details of the city and its surrounding natural beauty, while the nighttime brings forth a magical display of lights that paint the skyline, offering a different yet equally stunning perspective of Chiang Mai.

IG sportlife.travels Nice place for a quick escape from the city. Not too far and I loved the fresh juices, fruits and peanuts. There are also a couple of waterfalls around this area.

This place/viewpoint lies on the route to Doi Suthep from Chiang Mai city. The place is a nice point for the complete view of Chiang Mai city. However, at this time the visibility was quite low due to air pollution raised by forest fires. Definitely a calm place to enjoy the complete cityscape if the visibility is good enough. No entry fee. Just a mid route viewpoint and pit stop.

Quick stop after visiting Wat Doi Suthep. Good outlook on Chaing Mai. Our kids enjoyed the puppies playing around the carpark

The view is stunning. You can opt to go up via cable car (40 baht I think it was) or take the challenges and walk up 1200 steps.

Don't miss to go there when you arrived Chaing Mai, Thailand. You can see a panorama scene of the city both of day and night. You can count, how many airplane does take off or landing in one hour if you have a lot of free time. This point is on the way to Doi Suthap temple, the palace and Mong village.

The view would have been nice I guess but these days Chiang Mai is so smoggy that we didn’t see anything really. But if you are coming just for the viewpoint, it is not worth it. Also visit famous temple which is just 10 min away.

Great views with cooler temperature then in Chiang Mai city. It was quiet and peaceful when i was there and unfortunately due to COVID-19 the amenities there needs to be refurbished and restored as the various resting huts were in bad shape. Thankfully the view remain fantastic. Worth dropping by even if only for 10 minutes to get a couple of pictures. There is limited parking available at the viewpoint itself but there is a bigger car park at the entrance to the viewpoint where many souvenirs stalls are located.

A wonderful villa with really nice rooms in an incredible spot. The garden is marvelous with a big swimming pool, boats to navigate in the river, gym kitchen facilities. But the really best... THE STAFF.

👍👍 The jewel in the crown of Chiang mai zoo, fantastic aquarium, the best I can recall seeing 225 baht for me to get in, but very happy to pay this. If you like watching big fish cruise around, then this is the place for you
