Siriraj Hospital is the oldest and largest hospital in Thailand. It is in Bangkok on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. With a capacity of more than 2,000 beds and visited by more than three million patients per year Siriraj is one of the largest and busiest medical centers in Southeast Asia. The medical school accepts about 250 medical students and more than 100 for postgraduate residency training each year.

Hospital of the Land .. One of the most prestigious and long-established medical schools in Thailand where thousands of patients in all walks of life are given service 24/7 with the dedication and efficiency. ** The review above was specifically for Siriraj hospital, whereas the one for Siph has been gone. Google map is a little mistaken and erroneous, I guess. They need to fix the photos as well. **

One of the oldest and largest public hospitals in Thailand. Also there are 2 medical museums and Mahidol university’s Faculty of Medicine inside the same compound as well. If you come here for the first time, you will be puzzled and most likely get lost within various mazes, walkways, entrances, exits, shops and many different buildings within the hospital so be sure to plan properly where exactly or which building or which floor do you want to go to before coming here. Note that parking space is very limited so it’s better to come here either by taxi or by boat, either by the river crossing ferries from Tha Prachan pier near Thammasat university, or Tha Chang pier near Silpakorn university, or by express boat. Outside the hospital, there is huge open air local market where there are a variety of Thai food, snacks, medicines, medical appliances and various other goodies for your selection at very affordable prices. Please check it out.

Although it is an expensive hospital, it provides quality service based on international standards with expert academician doctors. I had appendicitis surgery here last year and the service was very good. The dentists in the dental clinic are also very experienced and knowledgeable. They found and solved my dental problem that many dentists could not find. However, if you want to go to the dental clinic due to COVID-19 conditions, you must have a COVID-19 test. I have also been to the dermatology clinic for my nail fungus problem that has been going on for years. The doctors here are also really good at their job.

We have wasted 6 hours here for just 25 minuts of medical procedures. Worst experience than the old building. No one tell us any estimation so we kinda just have to sit there with no clue. We cannot leave to have some foods. Just 6 hours of waiting.

We had very very bad experience here in SiPH. My in-law had cerebral hemorrhage and was admitted to ICU straight away. He stayed in ICU for a month and a half without actual plan from the doctors, but just stay and monitor...by the time he was discharged from hospital, he lost his ability of communication and understanding as well as eating and walking. We do not blame any of these to the incompetence of doctors or nurses here. However, the points that we wanted to address is that with the price they it charges, the doctor do not even come and check the patient on a regular daily basis; we did not got any daily updates of the patient from doctors until we filed a complaint to the hospital management team; communication between doctors and the guardian is extremely poorly managed, as the patient had brain bleeding, later lung issues, and there were 3 doctors that we need to chase to get updates and info; nurses and doctors here had the least empathy I could ever find, there had been only ONE nurse that we were very grateful for understanding our feeling that cannot visit the patient for almost two months due to covid policy in hospital. Unfortunately my in-law was admitted again just after 10 days he was discharged from SiPH, this time due to high sodium level in blood which the doctor did not even ask us to be careful with but it was already at a very high level when the patient was discharged... when we were waiting in the ER, I saw the nurses coming in to xray my in-law twice within 10 mins, and I just didn't understand if that was necessary or just did it for their own convenience... If it is not that urgent or emergent, find somewhere else.

This place is fantastic in so many ways. I came here for vaccinations because I did not have the time prior to traveling to Asia. From the moment I walked in, I was constantly assisted, regardless of the language barrier. The Hospital itself is very beautiful as well and offers many stations to sanitize your hands & provide water. The check in process was also seamless. The staff all made sure I was being helped throughout. Unfortunately they didn’t have every vaccine but that was perfectly fine. I came for my Typhoid vaccine and I was able to receive it. All in all, my visit was less than 3 hours, from entering to exiting. That type of efficiency is incredible. Thank you to all the staff of the hospital. I greatly appreciate your efforts for helping people! ♥️🙏🏼

This is the ultimate medical facility in Thailand. This specific building, the Piyamaharajkarun, is the private hospital, set up to support the public one. The doctors are world class and work in both hospitals to ensure fair and equal care for all. The private hospital's revenue, from what I've been told, goes to support the public hospital. All the restaurants in this hospital are run as non profit, with their revenue going toward the hospital also. I had an illness misdiagnosed at two leading hospitals for expats, with diagnoses ranging from it's nothing to needing severe surgery. Only at this hospital did they tell me what it was and fixed it within a day with the proper medicine. It's father than other hospitals as it's on the west side of the river away from Bangkok proper, but if you need good and proper care, this would be my recommendation.

Coming from an another province, I had to wait four days in Bangkok for admission and tests. When arriving at the hospital at 8am for admission, I have been rejected because "you need to have a relative to supervise you in your room all the time"... Isn't this nurses and medical personnel tasks to watch after you while admitted? Flights and three hotels nights wasted, two weeks lost with a degrading health.

This place really needs more communucations and service minds to the patients. Just only a new buidling will not make this place feels premium or worth the price.

We had various treatments here and the staff were always highly professional and courteous, answering all our questions as well as they could, and the treatments we had were successful. The facilities they have for imaging and testing are excellent. The hospital may be lacking in terms of decor, and you may have to wait a bit for treatment, but we were not there for the decor, and we had time. Also, the surrounding area has many facilities, and many good restaurants in the daytime. Can enjoy eating by the river.

I’ve been cured here due to my allergies before. That was excellent. However, if you come here for any internal medicine. Came gere during night time about 20.00hrs, & did not expect a doctor would be this bad. I would discourage you meeting the doctor named Dr Su**da. She acts unprofessional towards a patient. Must i say she lacks the service mind. Since I cannot speak thai, she opted to speak speak with my thai husband. But even my husband told me that Doctor is the worst. She didn’t even gave a word to me even though she speaks english. Perhaps she just wanter to finish work on that night, or whatever

The most well organized, professional, clean hospital I've ever visited. I was treated with such kindness and respect, was given regular updates on how long every wait would take (and no wait was too long either), the discharge from the hospital was fast and convenient - next to the cashier is the pharmacy, which dispenses your medication perfectly labeled individually. They even have a live pianist playing relaxing music in the beautiful lobby. Amazing.

To find a car park here you have to drive down to the ground floor, pass the main entrance and turn right and go downward. Parking fee is 100 Bath per hour. So, don’t forget to get a stamp from the hospital. To find the entrance to hospital from car park, do follow the Yellow Duck. Show you where to go to the lift. And remember color of the your car park area B1, B2, or B3. Good luck xxx Be happy and healthy.

I don’t know why they keep patients if they aren’t going to look after them. Im staying here because of dengue fever, and I feel like I could’ve taken care of myself better at home. I called for the nurse to my room 7 times and every time they just yea yea and didn’t come back or do anything. I waited for hours for one of them to come and help me. I felt miserable and frustrated and even if they came back to say we can’t do anything yet we have to wait for the doctor I’d be grateful. But they didn’t even do that. They completely ignored me.

Excellent service by experts from the medical school. Located next to Siriraj hospital (government section). Your treatment fee can contribute the great support for the patients in the government hospital.

Extremely unprofessional and an absolute money pit. If you're dying, yes it's worth coming here, but if you're not, if you're looking for anything else, I highly recommend checking out a different hospital.

Dual pricing at hospital. 25 percent more if not Thai. Nurses cannot speak English and are horrible at caring for patients, at least they were for me. During the night after my surgery they were supposed to apply ice pack to my face to prevent pain and reduce swelling, but a nurse told my Thai wife to do it. I felt a bit of racism among the nurses toward foreigners. The questionnaire after the hospital stay asked if I felt if I was treated like a family member by the staff which is laughable. I answered honestly the questionnaire, in the negative, and asked to be called. I never was, but not sure if they were dodging the negative review or could not read English. Most doctors can speak English but nurses cannot and my opinion is the administration do not want to deal with English speakers and prefer to speak Thai and see Thai at the hospital. Otherwise, they would hire a few English speakers as other hospitals do. If not for my Thai wife talking for me it would be impossible for a non-Thai to stay overnight here. The only thing good at the hospital in my case is the doctor I had. All other staff cannot speak English and do not want to. The coffee shop had better English speakers than the nurses or administrative staff. Also, I was in pain after surgery and the pharmacy would not fill the prescription quickly. After waiting in pain for 2 hours for the pharmacy to fill my prescription, my doctor had to use a pain medication already on the ward! Very sloppy and unprofessional service. If you are not Thai go somewhere else, you are not wanted.

The doctor is an expert, caring about patients, staff, and lovely nurses. They take care of both inpatients and outpatients very well. The hospital is spacious and clean, but the parking lot is a little small compared to those who use the air conditioning services.

EXTREMELY SLOW!! Still waiting for the pre admission already been 1.5 hour since 11:30am even though they told us to come at 10am. My mother in law literally sleep on hard wheelchair while waiting. It is a worse private hospital ever in term of service and waiting time. So EXPENSIVE BUT NOT WORTH IT AT ALL. P.s. doctor is very good just the service

Rip off. Went to this hospital for 3 ingrown hair which it was very inflamed. They did a small surgery (1hr) which has a cost of 16 000baht. At the 2nd Day i went there for a Check, the Dr. Said they opend the skin too less it seems healing is impossible, they need to do another surgery. Aswell they said need to come everyday for some cleaning and let some antibiothik sticks inside the wound. Now i decided to do it by myself. Lets see, the wound starts to heal without doing another surgery. At least, the staff was very friendly and helpfull like i know it from Thailand.

Surgery unit At the doctor's appointment slip counter on the 3rd floor. The nurse is very fierce. Got hit by a loud nurse🥲 Plus it got reversed as well. I've just been to this unit for the first time. Don't know much about documents, don't explain or tell anything. Only chase I didn't think there would be a service like this.

Health examination plan female doctor named cat Skip the queue of service recipients and choose to check not according to the queue And have the nurse inform you that the doctor is late in checking and will check urgent emergency cases first. If it's an urgent emergency or someone is going to die, why don't you notify the CODE, call a stretcher, call the ER to help, speaking like a person who has no knowledge? It is considered to be work that has a serious negative effect on the image and credibility of the service. Ethics towards service recipients, please take some care. As a doctor, don't be proud of yourself as being the best. Please leave HR to send you to training. Myset Service Mind, bad service, don't bring it. Infamous hospital
