😠 In Indonesia I was told there was a medecine I urgently needed at this hospital. We traveled to Bangkok to buy this special medication. The staff were not welcoming at all and absolutely nobody spoke English. The trainees were all gossiping and chatting with each other and weren’t focused on helping... Very helpful staff, and English-speaking! Dengue fever is nothing to mess around with, as I have recently learned 🤭.

I came here the first day i arrived in bangkok because i was unable to get my travel vaccines back home before leaving. I was very stressed about this but the doctor there put me at ease and explained everything in good detail and easy to understand. Gave lots of great advice on how to stay safe as possible. All the other staff there were also very friendly and helpful. I had such a positive experience here that i wanted more vaccines lol The vaccines are incredibly cheap compared to uk and northern Europe

The Travel Clinic at Bangkok Hospital for Tropical Diseases is an excellent resource for those travelling through SE Asia. It was super convenient to book a vaccine appointment online. Be sure to bring your passport and vaccination records because they will want to see those. I spoke with a doctor (in English) and talked about what vaccines I needed for travel in SE Asia. He was very knowledgeable and I never felt pressured. I had full control over the situation the entire time. The vaccines were incredibly affordable (compared to American prices) and I was done with the whole thing in less than an hour. I will happily return here for more of my vaccine needs in the future.

The most convenient for get vaccinated before travel around the globe. You can booked the Q online and show up on time. All staffs and consultation doctor speak English fluently. The nurses that do vaccines injection was super gentle each time I came for vaccination I never get any bruise where the needles in my arms. It wasn't too crowded like other government hospital in Bangkok and the management of the Thai travel clinic team could says that perfectly function.

Great hospital and service. Went on a Sunday for a malaria check and the staff and procedure was flawless. Got results in an hour and felt really well taken care of. The doctor spoke great English and was very attentive and empathetic.

Came here for the COVID test certificate to come back to the UK and what an awful experience. Very disorganised and you'd have to keep prompting. It was just and LFD test and it took forever!

Overall, fantastic service, better and more efficient than what I'd get in my own country. The staff were very caring, ensuring I got quick blood tests for dengue and malaria. They spoke great English. Doctors consultation, tests, etc all cost 1k baht for me as a farang. Very fair. Clean, modern facilities. 🙏 One bad thing tho, there were lots of mosquitos flying around, I killed three with my hands while waiting for my dengue test results. Considering this is a hospital that treats people with mosquito borne diseases, that was not nice to see. They really should do more to exterminate them.

A great institution for treating patients as well as studying tropical diseases. The tropical medicine faculty is a part of Mahidol university, situated near Victory monument, at the heart of Bangkok. The institute has several departments including Tropical hygiene, Molecular medicine and genetics. It has Diploma (DTM&H) and Masters curriculum. Majority of the students (doctors) are from abroad. The six months course for DTM&H and a continuation one year course for Masters are very effective for sufficient knowledge on tropical diseases.

The nurse were kind of not welcoming and keep having chit chat with trainees. (Thai travel clinic). Said that I will get my result in 1 hour... 2 hour passed by, still no result. The receptionist at the ground floor is nice and welcoming; same goes for the doctors. 1/7/2019

The staff were very kind and the doctor was very thorough. One star off for the delay though. My appointment was at 5.30 but did not get to see the doctor until 6.15.

In Indonesia I was told there was a medecine I urgently needed at this hospital. We traveled to Bangkok to buy this special medication. The staff were not welcoming at all and absolutely nobody spoke English. The trainees were all gossiping and chatting with each other and weren’t focused on helping patients. We asked if they had this important medication but they simply told me they didn’t have it. I asked if it maybe were available in another hospital in Bangkok but they just said they didn’t know and left us standing there. I understand if they don’t have it but I at least expect someone to help us look for an alternative solution since the illness was potentially life threatening if left untreated. Even after we organized a translator they remained unfriendly and unhelpful. I am very surprised that a hospital for tropical diseases isn’t interested in helping someone with a serious tropical disease. I ended up having to go to a private hospital were we were treated very well and were helped to find an alternative.
