My partner and I joined a winter retreat and had a wonderful experience. Our queen room was incredibly comfortable and spacious - we had the best nights' sleep! The Suan Sati facilitators we had made an effort to foster a sense of community in a large retreat group, which we appreciated. The two yoga classes each day were accessible to all levels of practice but sometimes were challenging (in a good way!). The workshops were enriching to the experience - we particularly loved the alignment workshop, breathwork and the ice bath 🧊 The Thai staff do a wonderful job creating delicious vegan meals each day. You will not ever go hungry!

Suan Sati is an amazing experience in one of the most peaceful and picturesque locations I have been to. The accommodation is beautifully done and the comfort level is on point (right down to the amazing mattress’). Didn’t think I would be into vegan meals but they were so delicious, colorful and varied. The retreat is thoughtfully laid out and organized, from the moment you are picked up in Chiang Mai to the moment you wave good bye, it is exactly what you need. My expectations were exceeded and I hope to be able to get back again.

Suan Sati is an amazing place, I'd even say magical!! The owners have put a lot of thought into every detail, making it one of the best yoga and meditation retreats in Thailand! If you're looking for a fantastic get away and need to connect with yourself and nature, this is the place to do it. The staff is beyond wonderful, the food is well planned and delicious, the rooms are awesome and beds were very comfortable. The teachers are all the most beautiful, compassionate souls you could ever meet, which made the yoga and meditation classes unforgettable. It was my first time participating in a yoga retreat, and it was a LOT of fun. The classes progressed in a way that makes it inviting for any skill level. I can't recommend them enough.

My favorite thing about my experience at Suan Sati was the freedom to experiment without the burden of expectation. The team and other guests created a loving environment where growth was encouraged yet personal boundaries were always respected. The classes and workshops covered a wide range of styles and topics which is perfect if you’re looking to try out the different expressions of yoga. My only suggestion would be to add a workshop covering the basis of the theory / philosophy of yoga as I was very curious to learn more about that. Finally - whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the vegan snickers :)

Suan Sati is everything I was looking for and the result is way above my expectations. I came out of this journey grounded and peaceful …. Actually the daily routine is busier than it seems. You end up slowing down your pace and taking time for yourself. That is the real treat, isn’t it why we go to such places! There are plenty to like about this retreat and I particularly enjoyed the silent mornings, activities in between yoga sessions and the gratitude spirit that is floating around. Vegan food, which was not my motivation going in, was surprisingly tasty with lot of diversity: kudos to Suan Sati gardeners and cooks. A place that will make you peaceful and wanting to come back.

I had never in my entire life been in a place so accepting of emotion. A place where feelings and thoughts were voiced and embraced. A place that held infinite space for healing, love, kindness, and compassion. My experience at Suan Sati filled me with joy and peace. I genuinely feel like I unlocked a new level in my ability to reflect, understand my emotions, connect with others, connect with myself, practice, and meditate. Lisa and Will are full of love, expertise, and patience for the people they help, and you’d be so lucky to know them and be taught by them. I could not recommend this place enough. As a side note, the food is incredible, honestly. It’s been two days and I miss it so much!

Suan Sati truly deserves all those 5-star reviews, and let me tell you why—it goes beyond expectations, in a way only passionate owner-operators with a clear vision can achieve. I signed up for the "Winter Retreat" with a simple goal: slow down, connect with my body, and have a media detox. Those 5 days not only met but exceeded my expectations as we were guided through a transformative journey. The location amidst the rice fields is pure magic, the accommodations are simple yet charming, and the atmosphere is inclusive and welcoming. And let's talk about the food—absolutely amazing! Even though I was 23 years older than the next person and couldn't pull off all the yoga poses, there's a freedom to follow your own pace and do what feels right for your body. Big thanks to Will, Lisa, and the entire Suan Sati team. I'm definitely coming back for more next year.

I did my YTT at Suan Sati and it was the most beautiful, peaceful fulfilling month. The teachers were all outstanding (especially Denise!) and Will and Lisa were incredible guides. I’m a chef and the food was outstanding, the Thai staff all worked so hard to go above and beyond to make us all happy and well fed. It was such a treat to eat such delicious food every day that just made us all feel great. I can’t recommend Suan Sati highly enough - just bloody go there!

One of the greatest travel experiences I ever had: I expected working on my yoga poses but it was so much more than that! The teachers are so inspiring and they welcome all levels of yoga and mindfulness. The dorms are cozy, the views are breathtaking and the food was delicious. I’ll definitely come back again. So much love for this place!

I have spent one week in Suan Sati and it was a bless to have found such an amazing place not only the location that is paradisiac but the people that I have found, William and his amazing staff, the energy that surrounds the place is unique it has made me feel confident to dig into myself without been scared to be judged because I know that I would have been safe there. The beauty of the place and the people, the goodness of the food will be always in my memories and the level of teaching is sublime. All teachers has taught me something about me. Kirtan event runned by William, will always remain in my heart, infact one of the thing that I will do is to learn to play the harmonious instrument to be able to share the emotions that it creates with others and make them to connect with another self as has happened to me. I have an injury that doesn't let my heels touch the floor through the yogi squat, when I do it my injured hip hurts a lot but William has showed me a technique and now I can get into that pose without pain and my heels are almost touching the floor again. I had a kundalini yoga session with the fantastic yoga teacher Jennifer I can't even describe what a wonderful variety of energy I have felt with it, on the other hand her heart is so welcoming and pure that I could not expect another beautiful sensation. She has also taught me a technique how to start to meditate very alternative and it works! There is Katherine, amazing with mobility techniques and alignment and Rosalie my smiling and funny teacher she has given me exactly what I needed without telling her anything and her teaching is very profound, it was like I knew her for a long time. The chefs and all staff made me feel part of their family everybody has hug me when I left I could not have a better welcome and good bye. A place where I can be myself A place in which I can breathe A place in which I can feel safe A place in which I can feel at home. Love Suan Sati! I really enjoyed my time at Suan Sati and hope to return one day. The atmosphere is very serene, food is delicious and the teachers are professional and very knowledgeable about both yoga and meditation. The vibe is social if you want it to be and I made new friends here, but there was also time to reflect and spend time alone in silence. Absolutely a five-star experience for me.

There’s a good reason that every review is 5 stars. Will has created a magical, welcoming place for people of all backgrounds and levels of yoga experience. The kindness he and the Suan Sati team has created is evident in every part of the experience.

I have never been at a place where the surroundings and the people are so conducive to spiritual healing and getting back to beautiful source energy. The activities, the accommodation, the food, the rhythm of the day… everything is so well thought out. The people (Will & Lisa 🤍, the kitchen staff, the teachers) are all warm-hearted and they give their best with such pure intention. There are not enough words to describe what this place gives to the world ✨🙏

I recently attended a winter retreat at Suan Sati, and it exceeded all my expectations. The serene beauty of the place provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation and introspection. The accommodation was cozy, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. The culinary experience was a highlight, with every meal a delightful journey for the taste buds. The chefs at Suan Sati showcased culinary mastery, offering a vegan diverse and nourishing menu. The peaceful ambiance enveloped the entire retreat, creating a haven for tranquility. It was evident that every detail was carefully curated to enhance the overall sense of calmness. The mindfulness and serenity experienced here lingered with me long after the retreat concluded. The yoga classes were a perfect balance of challenge and accessibility, accommodating all levels of practitioners. Will and Lisa brought a unique blend of expertise and warmth to each session. Their guidance not only deepened my practice but also fostered a sense of community within the group. In summary, my week at Suan Sati was a transformative experience. The combination of breathtaking surroundings, delectable food, peaceful ambiance, and exceptional yoga instruction made it a journey of self-discovery and rejuvenation. I highly recommend Suan Sati to anyone seeking a holistic retreat that nurtures the body, mind, and soul. Thank you Suan Sati 🤍🙏🌸

I keep telling my friends that going to Suan Sati for the winter retreat was the best thing that could have happened to me - and I truly feel this way. At this point I don’t know where even to begin, but to keep it short: Will, Lisa, Amanda, and the team guided us through the 6 days of the retreat. Both, physically and mentally through the yoga practices and the various workshops, where I not only broadened my knowledge about yoga, but also and mostly about myself. We were served the most delicious plant-based Thai food, that just made you feel well nourished throughout the retreat. And lastly, I got to connect with so many beautiful souls who also joined the retreat. Everything (!) was so well thought through and the place just next to the rice fields is so beautiful. The retreat has left me with so much joy, gratitude and wisdom I will cherish forever. Thank you so much, dear Suan Sati team. 💜 I am sure I will come back sooner or later! (If anyone is hesitant to book, just do it! You won’t regret it. :))

We very much enjoyed our 4 days stay at the Susan Sati yoga retreat. It was part of our honeymoon trip and we wouldn't have missed that. The food was extraordinary and the yoga/meditation teachers were beyond exceptional. We are so grateful for this wonderful experience and we highly recommend it, if you want to come down to earth and escape the busy city for a while. Thank you again!!! Léon and Leila

Your experience can be as strong and meaningful as you want it to be and you definitely come out a better version of yourself! Suan Sati management, teachers, and staff - thank you for so much!

It’s hard to overstate the beauty and power of this retreat. The combination of a wide variety of tasty meals, thoughtful yoga and meditation practices and being surrounded by the most amazing people (maybe it was good fortune that the other people staying whilst I was there were also deeply inspiring people) make this a most blessed place to spend time. If you want to spend a little time to delve deeper into the beauty of life, I would highly recommend a stay here.

It’s hard to find the right words to describe this beautiful place and the wonderful people. I am so grateful for having been able to spend time here. Learned so much about yoga, mindfulness, meditation and was offered tools to cultivate self-exploration, compassion and gratitude in a very humble way. The food tastes like it comes straight from paradise. The accommodations are just perfect and the surrounding nature is stunning. Hope to visit again. X Morgan

Before I came to the Suan Sati Winter Retreat back in January, I remember looking at reviews and thinking this place seemed "too good to be true." I can confirm that Suan Sati is 100% authentically amazing. Truly the most welcoming staff, comfortable beds, beautiful views and delicious food. The other guests were wonderful as well. As someone who likes yoga but was not very knowledgable or experienced, Suan Sati is the perfect judgement-free place to practice/learn about yoga, meditation, self-reflection and everything under these umbrellas. It was an experience unlike anything I have been a part of before, and I felt so happy and refreshed after my 5 days here. I cannot speak highly enough about how caring, supportive, and overall lovely the staff here is! Thank you to the Suan Sati family for everything you do :)

Definitely the highlight of my Thailand trip! The location is absolutely stunning and just magical - it's so peaceful, spacious and quiet, overall a great place to just disconnect and spend some time with yourself (and the lovely people who run the place). I loved both the yoga classes with different teachers/styles and the daily workshops. To top this off, the vegan food was so delicious I am still dreaming about it. Thank you Suan Sati, I hope to come back in the future!!!

Suan Sati is a serene place, surrounded by rice fields. It is so quiet there, I was falling asleep and waking up everyday with sounds of nature. Food is so fresh, full of taste and delicious. All yoga classes and workshops are very engaging and can be as challenging as you choose them to be, and the Suan Sati family are very welcoming and loving. It's a beautiful place where you can find support & togetherness, and space for yourself.

Visiting this place has been one of the best decisions I could make on my trip. The location is beautiful, the teachers are fantastic, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere that everyone co-creates is magical. I can only feel lucky and grateful for the opportunity of being here.

My time spent at Suan Sati was an unforgettable experience. This fabulous retreat is nestled delicately amongst luscious green rice fields and a rolling mountainous landscape. The rooms are simple, the grounds are beautifully manicured and it is clear that the facilities have been crafted with love. At Suan Sati your days are filled with invigorating yoga and mindfulness sessions led by inspiring teachers; workshops that challenge and stimulate the mind, body and spirit; and satiating down-time to rest and reset in one of their many chillout zones. The team there have created a schedule for your day that is both balanced and playful where you can participate as much or as little as you would like. As I am writing this, I somewhat feel the need to dedicate a whole paragraph to what some might say is the highlight of their day...The food! The insanely incredible vegan meals are expertly crafted by a team of dedicated chefs who roll out a daily FEAST of delicious, nutritious and stunningly-well presented meals that will fill you to the brim and give you the energy you need to simultaneously detoxify and recharge. I have been to many yoga retreat centres in my time and never come across one quite as special as Suan Sati. To me, it was the little things that make this one stand out in my mind. For example, the silent mornings, the meal rituals and the constant flood of gratitude that is dished out with every activity. To finish, I will say that Suan Sati is simplicity at its best. There are not a lot of bells and whistles, because there doesn't have to be. Everything you will need will be presented to you upon arrival and all that you need to do is show up for yourself and let it all in. The magic will take care of itself. Thank you to the entire Suan Sati family for all that you do for the yoga community and also for those who just want to get back to basics and remind themselves what living happily is all about.

I don’t even know where to begin🧡 I had the most incredible experience at Suan Sati. I’d like to start off by saying the teachers were incredible; Heni, Megan & Luna. They made me feel very welcomed and I loved how they made the effort to get to know each and every single one of us on a deeper level rather than just in class. Truly beautiful women inside and out. The food was delicious (very talented team), the scenery was unreal, the rooms were spacious! Honestly cannot fault this place. I highly highly recommend - for anyone debating whether or not to go, just go, you won’t regret it🙏🏻😌

I stayed 4 days and loved my time here. Both the staff and the guests were very friendly and relaxed. The beautiful environment and tasty food contributed to the good mood. I was lucky to be there when the guesthouse was not fully booked, so it was extra nice to be in a small group. I felt that there was a good balance between the yoga practice and other activities like the daily workshop and the free time. During free time, you can either socialize or be on your own in the many hammocks or comfy seating areas.

What an experience! I had no idea what to expect before coming into this yoga retreat and it did not disappoint! The teachers there were fantastic in teachings and welcoming all levels of yoga. I’ve been primarily a meat eater my entire life so I wasn’t sure how I’d do with the food but I loved every meal!! I would eat this way everyday if I knew how to cook like the amazing chefs there. The accommodations are very comfortable and the setting in where this is is truly magical. Not to mention it’s the best priced yoga retreat I could find! Wills reasoning of why he prices it this way is truly amazing as well. “Wellness is for everyone” I came out of this experience with family I’ll never forget and a lot of sore muscles (in a good way!) If you have the chance to come here. I suggest you do. Thank you everyone at Suan Sati

My trip to Suan Sati was simply one of the most transformative weeks of my life. Will and Lisa are the real deal! I will always feel gratitude to them for what I experienced there. What they have managed to create is truly incredible; The yoga, the setting, food, workshops, teachers, friends made there - all amazing. However, what most stands out in my mind is the shift in mindset I experienced when there. I felt lighter, calmer and more free than I had done in years. I’ve carried the learning and feeling with me on my travels and I will definitely return to Suan Sati at some point. I would encourage anyone to go and experience it for yourself. It really will be one of your best weeks in Thailand, maybe anywhere.

Stayed for six nights, wish I could've stayed six months! Had the most amazing time here. So much love has been poured into every detail, from the beautiful accommodation to the vegan feasts served up at every meal. I stayed in the dorm, which was a wonderful experience in and of itself. This is not a hostel, the rooms are beautifully decorated using rustic materials, and very spacious so you have plenty of room. The women I shared with were very respectful, and it was a great way to make friends and connect with people, whilst being a lot cheaper than the private rooms. The yoga teaching was of an extremely high standard, and I felt that I got a lot of individual support and attention. I loved that all three teachers (Denise, Felicity, and Xiu Lei) brought something very different to their classes, and they all seemed to put their hearts and souls into their work. This wasn't just standard yoga, between practicing different styles (yin, hatha, vinyasa etc), there were also elements of meditation, inner child work, music, dance, qi gong, massage, and aromatherapy brought in as well which made for an extremely enriching experience. Do not be put off if you are new to yoga, the classes are very beginner friendly, with modifications given for more advanced attendees. In fact most people on my retreat were either complete beginners or just casually into yoga, so it is a very welcoming environment. It's also a lot more affordable than other yoga retreats I have seen in Thailand, which is incredible given how high quality every aspect of the experience was. Overall I would definitely recommend a stay in this beautiful oasis of calm, I am already planning on coming back before the end of my travels!

Suan Sati felt like home from the very first second. I don‘t know where to start.. the beautiful place, the yoga sessions, the amazing workshops, the absolutely best food or the wonderful people. Lisa and Will created an environment for connection, feeling, healing and growth here. It is incredible to experience what is possible in only a few days. I am beyond grateful for this week.
