This was a pretty fun and novel experience. My little ones enjoyed it but had hoped maybe they would see real elephants while we were there. (They don’t have elephants). Our guide was super kind and funny and made the tour fun for everyone. The kids got to try making their own paper in addition to seeing how the whole process worked. It was a fun time all in all, but maybe don’t go when it’s super hot out 🥵😅

My kids really enjoyed this experience! Top note -- there are NO elephants here. It's more of an experiential education area. A guide walks visitors through the process of taking elephant poop and transforming it into paper. It's all very well done, we had fun, and there are quirky bits everywhere. The tour ends in a art/craft activity zone for kids -- it's a nice break from standard tourist fare and we enjoyed seeing our kids make a final product after the tour. The gift shop has lots of nice novelty gifts. Definitely recommended for families. Small cafe on site.

The entry fee is 100 THB per person and it includes a short (approx. 30 minutes long) guided tour explaining the paper-making process. You can interact with the poo and create a new poopoopaper sheet yourself but you don’t get to keep it. There’s a DIY area at the end of the tour where you can create your own bookmarks, passport holders and other things for an extra fee. You can also buy some reasonably priced products in their souvenir shop (we bought poodoku for 150 THB haha). It was a bit confusing for us to find a correct parking spot since the arrow signs outside pointed to different places.

10/10 awesome, especially with kids! Very well designed park with hands on experiences for all ages. Wonderful array of affordable products and gifts that are truly unique. Definitely worth an hour or two of your time in this area.

Really interesting guided tour which gets you involved in making paper from poo! The place seems well run. We enjoyed the craft workshop - you're given basic materials to make your own notebook/picture frame/passport holder with cut out shapes to glue on. They make fun gifts for friends and family. I'd say it's about one hour to visit, 30 min of which is the tour.

It was a fun little learning moment for our family. 100.- entrance fee and you can do self walking tour. The visit is quite short. You can foresee to do it in 30 minutes. You will also be able to touch smell poop and make paper out of it. Quite fun.

Absolutely wonderful place! We spent ages here, did the tour, learned loads and joined in the crafting. So impressed that we helped to make a sheet of the paper. We sat for a long time with coffee, cookies, cold drinks and lollies in the cafe, watching the butterflies and birds and laughing at the direction sign! We cannot recommend this place enough - it’s very well looked after, has excellent staff, is child friendly, very informative and great fun. Well done team PooPoo 😆!

I love sustainable businesses and conservation efforts. This business grows then trades bananas to all of the different elephant rescues for the elephant poo. This saves the poo from being burned (pollution), makes jobs (for Elephant Poopoo Paper Park), and is able to create products to sell without cutting down trees to make the paper. It is a win/win situation all around. I loved it! I wish more people would think outside the box like this. At 100 baht per person, I think it is very reasonable.

Inexpensive entry fee, which is good because you’ll have more money to buy poo poo products. Our tour guide was informative and funny and answered all of our questions. The tour was about 30 minutes or so, followed by time for decorating your own (purchased) crafts. Loved the emphasis on conserving and repurposing resources. Very good experience overall.

It's a unique place to visit. Very nice guide, good English, they allow you to do some things on your own (preparing paper from elephant's poop). We recommend it for all, but especially for children.

I visited with my 5-year-old child. The explanations were detailed, and the person at the paper-making place mixed in some Korean to explain, which I appreciated. There were so many beautiful items to make, and I wanted to do them all. It was a delightful experience.

An unusual but interesting experience where elephant poop is transformed and crafted into paper handcrafted souvenirs like notebooks, canvas, harts, ... etc Entrance fee is 100 bath a person and this includes a guide taking you through all the steps from poop to paper products. We came here after visiting Mae Sa Elephant home which is also very recommended.

Fascinating. We are 2 people in our 30s but this would be an excellent place for children as well. We learned a lot and the place has a great sense of humour. All the staff were very friendly and smiling. It's also a relaxing place to sit and eat and drink.

Wow. We found this place by accident, and it turned out to be one of the best activities we did here in Chiang mai. We saw the documentary on this several years ago. The entrance fee was 100 baht. We got a little tour and decorating activities at the end.

Interesting and light hearted fun. The tour guide was great, he was amazing with the children in the group while still making us feel included. It took about 20 mins to get through the tour and then made our own journals in the craft area.

Interesting little place and informative. Good activity with kids to learn and also engage later to practice making paper, test some craft skills in case want to customize their merchandise. On the way to the hill tribe and zip like activities about 30minutes from Chiang Mai city and would recommend to visit if time permits.

It’s still very good here, mainly you can observe the whole process of making paper with excrement up close, you can also do some small handicrafts, and adults can also experience it.

Loved our time here. The guide, Pete, was informative and entertaining. We enjoyed making paper and decorating. Great gift shop too. Small cafe with limited food options but nice selection of shakes and juices. Not far out of Chiang Mai so worth a visit.

It's a nice family experience. They show you the process (no stink, not disgusting at all!) of making paper out of elephant excrement. You can decorate your own stationery good out of poopoopaper.

Unexpectedly had a tour of this place as part of the mountain elephant sanctuary tour, and it was really cool! You get to try making the paper, though due to dry time you can't take your paper home, though they have a nice gift shop with lots of items, and our guide was fun and informative. PS their cafe has delicious coffee

An eco-friendly alternative to elephant-related tourist attraction that promotes sustainability. First, a guide will take you through an informative and hands-on tour how to make paper out of elephant poo. At the end of the tour, u get to make some art from the elephant poo paper. The whole experience is educational. You can tell that the guides are very passionate. Overall we had a lovely time. Highly recommend this place for kids!

This place is ok. Maybe good for kids to do activities. The place is fairly small. It does have a cute gift shop and a nice cafe. I love the coffee cup I bought from the cafe, however, the coffee was not that great. There is an entry fee, sorry I can’t remember the fee. My friends had the same opinion. (It was recommended by a friend with kids...)

Do yourself a favour and book the tour. You do not have to do this beforehand; you can just go there and they will also you if you want to have a guided tour. It's only 100 baht per person. The tour is great; especially for kids. It does not take long, maybe half an hour, but you see all the steps needed for making your own paper and you can help, too. At the end you can decorate your own souvenirs and have a drink at the bar. Great place to visit!

We went out to the Elephant Poo Paper Park and had a good time. They take you through the whole journey from poo to paper so it's really cool! Our guide through the event was very helpful and really explained everything well, with lots of obligatory poo jokes. The layout is not too big and easily walk able but not really suitable for wheel chairs. Allow for a good few hours to have a look around and you even get several opportunities to play with the poo and "make" paper. Just watch out for any poo products though as some countries customs and quarantine laws do not allow import, even just a note pad or photo frame.

I loved visit this place because it shows a different way to help the environment with sustainability and help to local community supporting hand craft and free chemicals uses. All the staff is super friendly you can ask for English guide tour who show you all the process to make paper from poo. There is a cafe and short menu where you can take a break, there is playground for the kids. Is an art studio and DYI for everyone who one to create with products made it from Poopoopaper. Definitely worth it visit them and buy some originals gift to take home.

Brilliant morning out for the children, very well priced and hands on activities to keep them entertained. Easy way to find out about ecological and recycling issues. You find out how to make paper by watching the different processes and doing it your self, before choosing whether to decorate various poopoopaper products and painting.
