The food was not bad. However, the environment was very hot inside, and the air conditioning was weak. Customers were required to take off their shoes upon entering the restaurant. If you needed to use the washroom, there were a pair of public flip flops provided to wear, which I found a bit gross. I was wearing flats and didn't have socks on, and the floor outside the washroom was wet. It felt disgusting when my foot touched it. Perhaps it's part of Thai culture, but I personally don't enjoy the barefoot experience unless the place is impeccably clean.

Good experience, especially the beef steak with smoked hay, which is the show of the restaurant. Other foods are standard for its price-quality ratio. Air conditioning is not strong enough for hot days in BKK. Seating on the counter is worn and very uncomfortable. It needs replacement urgently. Kitchen hood is quite loud but after dinner, you will feel like strongly smoked anyway.

5 star for their ambience, but food above average. 4 star to the concept not the taste. Small portions, price on the higher side ($1500-2000baht/person for a decent meal with some drinks) Don’t recommend the crab sashimi thing (as in the photo) literally supermarket quality crab sticks in a shell, the presentation is very misleading

The staff was overly enthusiastic. To the point where it felt pushy. It was annoying. The food was good though. Putting gold on steak was abit much personally. I would prefer a better cut of meat than some tasteless sparkles. We ordered a green tea but couldn’t get a refill because “they only serve refillable tea with the set”. Idk some bs Rainbow roll was done from the point of what looks aesthetic to the chef, but from a consumer perspective, it’s hard to eat without a spoon (see torch pic) Their saving grace was that the sashimi was fresh and the food was good.

Great declaration and environment make me feel like in Japan. Nice and polite staff. A bit disappointed that the uni is sold out on that day. Haha, but I try the other bowl, still fresh and delicious! Better make an appointment in advance.

Delicious food especially for the fish and rolls. The staff were really welcoming. Although, it was a bit too loud sometimes so it’s hard to communicate with people.

High quality ingredients and interesting menu, but maybe not for a fan of the real Japanese taste 🤔 According to my tastebuds only, their food was good, but a little bit too much flavored in every dish. My Kaisen Don is quite salty 🧂 from the sauce. You can see the amount of sauce go up to quarter of the bowl. All fish served fresh, but a little bit too tiny for this price. Miso soup is good and also salty as well. But have a lot of seaweed which I like very much 😋 Uni pudding doesn’t have uni taste at all. It’s good if you consider it is just pudding, but… they also have… simple pudding as well… I have stingray fins tempura for free from their CRM program. This one is good to have 🥰 The atmosphere in the restaurant seems fun with all the staff dance to a customer’s birthday. They also do their job right. I would say that this place is a good restaurant to spend your night hanging out with your friends or co-workers. However, I think they have adapted the taste of their food to be suitable for Thai people too much. But maybe it’s just me who have tried only a few dishes. Who knows? 🤨

Amazing experience at Teppen. Food was tasty and fresh, service was prompt and atmosphere was rowdy yet fun. Sashimi was fresh, beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the fish head we had was nicely done too. Well definitely be back again.

Prepare yourself for super loud greetings on the way in and out. Better reserve a table. Food is fresh but quite slow...like 45 minutes for steak. Nice new drink list.

We arrived at 2:30PM, it was too late for lunch set. The restaurant is nice with large window and wooden floor, it felt like a runway. The food was good and fresh. We loved the sauce with the karaage and the wasabi was authentic and so good! The lowside is the small portion of the sushi. Highly recommended

The food was so good, very fresh and delicious. Staff are so nice, the can make the surprise on your special day. For me i have experience in my anniversary date with my boyfriend, i am very impress the draw dish they have done for me. Thank you for making my special day wonderful.

Kaisen don and scallop was good, but if you would like to order rainbow roll think twice about it. This roll wasn’t cut, so it was just rice with fish, impossible to share with friends. Service was ok. They give you free drink, you can choose from 5 options, for a review.

Highly recommended!! Found this hidden gem during my visit in Bangkok. Raw fish was really fresh and everything we ordered tasted so good. Definitely will visit again when I'm back in Bangkok!

Cozy and beautiful place. Very nice for dating or family gathering :) Very nice service. Staffs is very attending. Food is a bit pricey compared to portion but ok.

Had the most amazing Japanese meal in Bangkok here, not to mention the great effort the staff took to make you feel welcomed. Sashimi bowls and wagyu steaks are a must order!

Always come back here anytime when I bored to searching a new restaurant. Good staff's service, great atmosphere. I love outside seat although many bugs and more heat than inside but they are also give us a small fan which it kind of care about a small detail.

I have to say, I am very impressed with this place, we had such a good time with the service and entertainment. The most importantly, the food quality is very good, very tasty. We definitely want to go back there again .

About my 10th time in Bangkok and I wish it didn’t take me this many trips to have found this lively, warm place. This is where you’d come for great yummy dishes with a relaxed, entertaining atmosphere

The average star of 4.7 surprises me. How does this place even get this kind of review? Perhaps a lot spent on marketing? The food is so-so for the price (there are many better places around here), and the service is unbelievably slow for a Tuesday night and the place isn't even packed. The grilled fish was super dry and hard. The recommended rainbow sushi and kanimiso were just so-so, and it took forever to get the grilled vegetables. The best thing here we had was actually the miso soup. I think this might be the first time giving a Google review this bad. Trust me on this - don't waste your time and money on this place. It is not worth it. There are so many better places around this area.

Very fun place with attentive staff and excellent food. If you have a small group to celebrate birthdays or other special occasions this is the place to go. Open kitchen so you can see your food go through the various stages.
