Excellent local Thai floating market, not far from Bangkok City center. This market offers unique local experience to the visitors, particularly the tourists from other countries. It's has huge variety of shops selling gits, clothes, shoes, hats, jam and food home made, many great and cheap restaurants and cafes, fruit, veggies and much more. The market is located 20 minutes walking distance from Bang Na pier, it's very much enjoyable and refreshing to walk it to take the ferry to the other side of the river in order to get to the BTS if you want to. By the way it's open from 8.00 am until 2.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday only.

Review after various visits. If you are hoping to see a floating market with boats selling food and produce, you will be disappointed. These were not available on my mutiple visits here. There remains a lot of stalls selling local food, home ware, and clothes nonetheless. So it's still a place which will give you a good sense of local culture. The prices here seem a little higher than average in some stalls. But some of the food we have tasted here are also higher in quality. For instance, the coconut cakes here have a lot more coconut in them as compared to the cheaper ones we have eaten in other markets. My favourite stall is the one selling bowls, plates and cups. It has many heavy good quality ones at a low price. This place is super crowded on the weekends. Parking right beside the market is impossible. Tip: there's a open lot a 5 minute walk away from the market that we always manage to park at. It is worth it driving around for other parking spaces if the main carpark is full.

This market is MUCH MUCH better than the Chatuchak Weekend Market. It has a much better atmosphere and better prices. It feels a lot more local and authentic. We enjoyed meandering through the alley ways while buying snacks and drinks. There seemingly unlimited options. There was live music at parks and nice areas to sit and dine. I highly recommend walking or renting a bike and exploring this little island and make sure you come to this floating market.

Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market (Thai: ตลาดน้ำบางน้ำผึ้ง) is in Bang Nam Phueng Subdistrict, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province adjacent to Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nai temple and considered as a part of Bang Kachao, a good atmosphere area on bend of the Chao Phraya River. The market was inaugurated in 2004 by the local subdistrict authority to help locals move an oversupply of agricultural products. Its vendors limited to people from the community. The market is on a canal surrounded by a residential neighborhood. Products include commercial crops such as fruits and sweets, noodles, processed food, sea shells, dried shrimp, pickled shrimp, desserts, grain cakes, and fruit.

Love the authentic and friendly experience there. Though the locals might not be fluent in English, their hospitality surpasses it all. The food quality is superb, the people there are very honest and sincere as well. The market is not very big but the variety is good. 10/10 would recommend. One of the BEST rice dumplings I have ever had was there as well, I did not take a picture of it unfortunately. It is located next to a low carb brownie stall (which was also very delicious). Crispy pork portion was unbelievable good 😋. The cream crepes blew my mind, especially with the fluffier version, sprinked with black sesame, sugar and coconut shavings!!! Additionally, the one and only espresso coffee (with no sugar) was pretty decent, think they added some whipped cream for extra richness. Lastly we also ended our trip with a purple sweet potato/yam pancaked layered with coconut flesh. Super yummy! Texture was like a mochi hybrid. Please learn to speak basic Thai, such as "thank you", "toilet" and "hello" etc. Also, a happy smile wouldn't hurt as well. Remember, when in Rome, do as the Roman do. Don't expect people to conform to your standards and understand you, be kind and courteous. I think many times people forget that they're just guests in the local's home.

I Love to come here on weekends. (Even on week days but the market is closed). I would rent a bicycle after crossing the river and bike to the market for lunch, a walk around the market and also get my feet massage for 50bath (20min) with the very cute aunties.

A touristy spot with varieties of items sold. There are 2 sections , of which before the entrance sells potted plants and flowers. The actual floating market sells food stuff, clothes, and souvenirs. There are no visible "floating" markets or any sellers selling from boats. The plus point is that the entire market is shaded from the sun. It is a worthwhile visit if in the area. Not the best, but OK.

We were suggested to visit Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market a while ago by one of my friends, who is a Samutprakarn resident for more than 20 years. Honestly, it could be one of the best Bangkok attractions compared to other places in Bangkok. It is just approximately 30 mins from the heart of Bangkok and also offers a variety of street Thai foods, absolutely reasonably priced, from all the parts of Thailand. Unfortunately, parking lot has some fee (20 Bahts) and and is a bit remote. You need to get a short walk for 5-10 mins to reach the market area. Also, It is believed to be crowded with people. We arrived around 10:15am and still could not avoid the crowd. Potentially, we visited on the last day of 2022, causing a big crowd of local and foreign visitors. In short, I would suggest this place to any foreign tourist who needs to explore our authentic Thai foods and cultures or Thai local who lived in Bangkok or metropolitan areas, looking for a place to spend a day trip in Bangkok. Tips: Come as early as possible to avoid some traffic and the crowd during weekend.

A lot of that traditional things and thai street foods. I would recommend you to come early in the morning (the market opens at 8:00 am) because easy to walk and park. You can buy souvenirs, and gifts from Thailand here. U should try street foods there

It is a local market. You can enjoy with a lot of Thai local foods. It can reveal the long Thai cultural life styles and also eating style. They manage the market system very well.

Getting to this place is easy if you’re coming from a place with many cabs, but leaving this place would be difficult if you didn’t drive here because it is extremely hard to get a grab or cab. This place has many locals and few tourists but somehow the food and snacks that are sold here is relatively expensive still for locals standard. The entire place is very big and sells mainly food. It gets pretty humid and hot after walking around for awhile. There are 2 parts to this place (first part was relatively small) so be sure that you have covered the other part. Try asking around if you are lost, some vendors are quite helpful.

An exciting local market full of foods and crafts. The market is continuously being revamp and improved. Although it could be a bit warm and humid, the market is clean with ample restrooms. Parking is very good and well managed. Bring extra bags to put all the stuffs you buy along the way. All in all a good stroll.

It's open only on Saturday and Sunday. It has all kinds of things such as clothing, food, household etc. Not really a floating market but shops by the river. Fun place to spend few hours.

It's a good market to shop and eat in. A separate session for plant lovers. It's a floating market but doesn't expect any boats. The market is on the river but you can walk around the market. Spend easily 1-2 hours. Usually, only see locals and no foreigners. Not very crowded

Nice place to ride a bicycle and stroll around this place, to avoid the busy traffic in downtown. Unfortunately I went on a weekday blindly without proper check and everything is closed. Rode from Sukhumvit Soi 24 to this place, which maybe 90% of the route there is full of cars/bikes. But once you are here, it is like 360 degree change into the more local villages lifestyle.

Not really a floating market. But a good weekend market offering lots of great food and drink options reasonably priced, local hand crafted items and clothing, plants and garden supplies, it's got it all. It's quite crowded on a Sunday afternoon and definitely worth the stop.
