This
was
my
first
retreat
if
any
kind,
and
my
first
time
trying
Muay
Thai
(I
have
tried
some
boxing
classes
before)
I
was
there
for
one
week
and
I
had
the
most
incredible
time.
Please
remember,
this
experience
is
what
you
make
of
it
and
is
flexible
to
your
needs.
Whatever
your
reason
or
goals
are
-
you
will
get
what
you
put
into
it
out
of
the
experience.
It
is
really
up
to
you
and
what
you
want
to
do.
No
activity
is
forced,
and
it’s
all
about
what
you
want
to
get
out
of
it
and
the
effort
you
put
into
achieving
that
goal!
Overall
Vibes
-
The
people
there
are
amazing,
all
of
the
trainers/instructors,
yoga
teachers,
kitchen
staff,
massage
and
cleaners.
And
I
met
some
incredible
people
from
all
over
the
world
on
the
retreat.
A
lot
of
people
were
there
for
a
month
or
more,
I
was
one
of
few
that
were
there
for
a
week
-
but
I
took
classes
everyday
and
went
hard
for
a
week
so
I
felt
a
week
was
plenty
for
me.
There
are
hammocks
and
plenty
of
places
to
get
some
alone
time
too
though
-
it
doesn’t
feel
like
forced
socialization
at
all.
The
massages
are
absolutely
amazing.
Afew
They
offer
Thai
and
oil
massage
and
both
were
incredible
and
restorative.
Food
-
The
food
was
fresh
and
delicious.
Lunch
is
not
a
hot
lunch
-
they
provided
bread,
peanut
butter,
bananas,
and
other
sandwich
fixings
and
they
have
breakfast
leftovers
as
well.
I
made
sure
to
eat
plenty
at
breakfast
and
not
having
a
hot
lunch
didn’t
bother
me
too
much.
Fresh
veggies
were
available
for
both
breakfast
and
dinner,
and
I
felt
they
served
plenty
of
protein
to
keep
me
fuelled
throughout
the
day.
The
laundry
services
are
convenient
-
but
I
still
recommend
you
bring
a
bit
more
sportswear
than
you
think
you
need.
Muay
Thai
-
you
can
purchase
hand
wraps
and
gloves
there,
I
would
definitely
recommend
getting
the
hand
wraps
there
as
they
are
branded
with
their
logo
and
is
a
great
souvenir.
I
brought
regular
boxing
gloves
with
holes
in
the
thumb
and
they
were
sufficient
but
they
also
had
gloves
at
the
gym
to
borrow
that
others
were
using.
The
classes
are
intense,
fun
and
a
great
work
out.
Starting
with
a
warm
up
that’s
a
work
out
in
itself,
then
shadow
work,
bags,
then
splitting
into
groups
to
do
some
pad
work.
Don’t
forget
your
reusable
waterbottle!
I
recommend
that
you
take
your
1
on
1
Muay
Thai
session
early
on
in
your
trip,
to
work
on
technique
right
away.
However,
the
instructors
do
a
good
job
teaching
you
even
in
the
group
setting
though
even
if
you’re
a
total
beginner!
The
instructors
are
all
amazing
and
hilarious!
Wellness/Yoga
package
-
They
offered
a
variety
of
yoga
classes
as
well
as
Pilates.
The
teachers
were
extremely
helpful
and
provided
lots
of
variations
and
options
in
each
pose
to
cater
to
all
flexibility
levels.
Come
prepared
to
breathe,
pause,
and
clear
your
head
and
accept
and
appreciate
any
and
all
emotions
that
arise!
Accommodations.
My
room
was
one
of
the
more
basic
ones.
But
I
rarely
spent
much
time
in
it
as
I
was
only
there
for
a
week
and
filled
my
days
with
classes.
My
noise
canceling
headphones
were
useful
on
nights
when
it
rained.
The
air
conditioner
worked
well
and
cooled
the
small
room
down
quickly!
My
only
suggestion
and
feedback
to
the
camp
would
be
investing
in
some
foam
mattress
pads
for
some
more
comfort
as
my
bed
was
very
hard
which
made
it
difficult
on
my
already-sore
body
at
night.
Tattoos!!
One
of
the
instructors,
his
name
is
Yo,
does
tattoos.
I
got
a
very
small
one
to
commemorate
my
experience
and
it
was
really
amazing.
He
was
so
kind
and
patient
when
it
came
to
the
design
and
extremely
skilled
at
his
craft!
If
tattoos
are
your
thing
I
highly
recommend
getting
one
as
a
souvenir!
In
summary,
no
matter
what
your
goals
are,
this
is
an
amazing
place
to
get
away,
unplug,
relax,
heal,
and
train.
I
took
away
so
from
my
one
week
here,
both
mentally
and
physically,
and
I
will
most
definitely
be
back
(already
looking
into
booking
my
next
trip).
I
had
more
things
to
say
but
ran
out
of
room
hahah.
Thank
you
so
much
for
an
unforgettable
experience!!
