Foreigner entrance fee 400 Thb, which is 10X what Thai nationals pay. I never pay 400 Thb.

Plan carefully for your visit, make sure you're wearing appropriate footwear, take a hat, plenty of food and water, and at least a fleece jacket because it gets cold at night. There are a few food places on the mountain, but work on the assumption they will be closed when planning. Animal dangers are mainly mosquitoes and ticks, though we did have wild elephants in the camp on one trip. However, mosquito repellent is useless against them so if that happens to you, just hope for the best. Don't go alone, and make sure some muggles know where you are going and approximately when you will be back. Porters are sometimes available to carry things up and down the mountain, and charge per kilo. If you use their services, don't be stingy with your tip.

I will give tha maximum stars...I really loved this place . So enjoyed and it will be the best trip in my life . As a foreigner i was not knowing much about this place, what to do , how to get here and all . But i got many thai friends through out the trekking ways , everyone was so helpful and so kindly welcoming people. And I appreciate thai tourism department to providing such a great amenities here . The tend is ready here , if you brings a tent with you you can use it with 20 baht ground fee , if you don’t just rent a tent with 200 baht . And rent mattress, pillow, sleeping bag with cheap price . The foreigners have to pay 400 entrance fee when thai people pay 40 . But its worth I’m guarantee. Approximately expenses from bangkok has given below . Bangkok to Pha Nok Khao = B 450 Pha nok khao to national park = 50 (local truck) Entrance fee foreigners = 400 Insurance = 20 Tent = 225 one tent max three people (please book tent before trekking, and tent will be ready once you reach there Mattresses = 20 Pillow =20 Sleeping bag= 30 Totals expenses = 1800 excluding food and water. Water and food are available at mountain top with affordable price . On the top of mountain there have 30 KM radius place with multiple tourists destinations, that we can go by walking or rent a mountain bicycle 🚴, its cost around 400 for one full day . I prefer to rent a big tyre bicycle , coz the roads are too sandy and it can ride without trouble.

Hiking up was physically challenging and exhausting, but the sceneries up here were definitely worth it. We took about 5 hours to reach the camping base. There are many activities to enjoy and many scenic spots to visit. Biking is highly recommended if you want to see all of the places. (Stay at least 2 days because there are really many things to see/do.) They provide rental bikes with local guides for tourists. The sunrise and sunset at different cliffs are uniquely beautiful. The locals are very friendly and helpful.

If you are fit, the hiking is around 6hours. But if you are not, at least 8hours. The whole experience and views are worth it. Definitely will go there again.

The sceneries, wildlife and atmosphere on mountain are very nice yet the lampposts and light bulbs all around the campsite disturb viewing stars at night which is worthlessness of staying night on the mountain.

This is a tough climb. Allow 4-5 hours going up, including stops for drinks. Hire camping gear at the top. Porters can take excess stuff up for you at 30 baht/kilo. A memorable trip with cliff top sunrises and sunsets.

Get fit and go hiking to the top. If you fit enough maybe 3.5 hours. Fantastic view up there and also good atmosphere. Be careful at night be quiet because up there still have wild life animals coming out e.g Deer, Elephant , Fox , Tiger etc. Get on track you will be safe. Highly recommended. It is limited time to get up there. Pls check before you plan to go.
