Waiting for more than 14 days for these results added unnecessary stress and anxiety to an already challenging situation. Moreover, I felt pressured into undergoing additional tests, such as the CT scan and gastroscopy, which ultimately proved to be unnecessary and added further expenses to my already mounting bill. While I acknowledge that every medical facility has its shortcomings, it is essential for Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai to address these issues in order to improve the overall patient experience and ensure that individuals receive the best possible care.

My husband had a nightmare experience trying to get a vasectomy at this hospital. His doctor was Dr. Wittawat Rawiyotai, who should not be in practice at all based on what happened during the surgery. And a hospital that employs a doctor like him and allows what happened to happen cannot be trusted. Vasectomies are supposed to be relatively quick and painless; my husband's surgery at this hospital took 1.5 hours and he was in excruciating pain during the whole time. The doctor was acting very confused, and my husband asked several times if they could bring in another doctor, but they did not. Several nurses were in the room but did nothing for my husband. At the end of the procedure, the doctor was video chatting with another doctor to ask what to do! Afterwards, the doctor told my husband the surgery was complicated because of a varicocele. However, my husband went to another very well-qualified Western doctor for a follow-up a week later and was told he had no varicocele, and there is conceivable reason the surgery should have taken that long. My husband's recovery was long and he was having pain for months later. Then, to top it off, at the 3-month follow-up, we discovered the surgery was not even successful--my husband was still very fertile! He had the procedure done later in America and it was completely uncomplicated, relatively painless, easy to recover from, and was successful based on follow-up results. We followed up with this hospital to tell them of the situation, and they offered to pay us money but with the requirement that we not share our experience. They also refused to remove Dr Rawiyotai or restrict him from performing vasectomies. We refused the hush-up money, as we want to prevent as many people as possible from having to undergo the traumatic experience that my husband underwent.

Stay away from this hospital. Advice. All they care about is collecting money. I came with my wife and asked the reception for a doctor specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. I went to the department and the nurses asked me to wait 15 minutes because the doctor is eating lunch. And 15 minutes turned into an hour and 10 minutes after that they brought me to a general doctor and they did not tell me that she is not specialized in obstetrics and gynecology until I discovered it myself. The very long wait, not even a word of apology was offered from them. They are the worst I have seen. There is no ethical treatment with the patient and no respect for him. The important thing is to collect money for them in an exorbitant manner. I will not go back to this bad hospital.

I had a honorable doctor go over the bill for me that does not work at this hospital and she told me that this is fairly and clearly a scam that goes on here after seeing all those extras that would Never be needed for the treatment I got. My wife had just dry eyes we went to this hospital to get some drops as we did in Canada and Turkey and other part of words. They scared I and my wife of may there is some problems we don’t know. We had to go to lots of test including MRI, 3 days of our vacation in hospital from morning to the night seeing 4 doctors and the biggest bills, and at the end they couldn’t find any problems and last doctor still recommended to see another doctor ( his friend)in Chiang Mai Ram hospital. I will not recommend this hospital even to my own enemies. Please think twice if yo are not emergency look for General hospital. Do not step in this place. Although I've had a reasonably good experience with the Eyecare Center, and a possible nod to the dermatology center, my experience of this hospital is quite bad. Its modern facilities and cleanliness promise much but for the comparatively high price they charge, and the failed promise of the superficial, it's quite a disappointing place. My big experience was with the orthopedic and rehab departments after a very serious back injury. I was never properly examined (hardly examined at all), shown very little regard by the doctors and the gaggle of females in nursing uniforms - who are quite drunk with their "power". They love to treat you like you are a "flight risk" - demanding payment in advance - even when you are too crippled to even crawl. UGH!!! The staff in both departments had not not even heard of the default treatments that are known worldwide for my injury; total news to them. Clearly, continuing education is not a thing at this hospital but, let that mask slip down your face a little bit, well the mask police will be there to meet you within a minute. This is an institution of science? What a joke! A lazy dependence on technology and pharmaceuticals added to an ignorant and uncaring doctor and support staff eventually had me give up and move on to Chiang Mai Ram for a somewhat invasive procedure I would never have trusted to Bkk/CM hospital. After that, I found a proper and professional physical therapy and rehabilitation staff and what a difference that made! I have been steadily on the road to recovery ever since. They showed me how very poor was my treatment, and how badly I was treated. Three months of agonizing pain, suffering and expense, for absolutely no gain whatsoever. I would say this hospital is not worth your time or money but that could be variable and somewhat dependent upon the department you need. If your situation is not completely straightforward or If you need a good orthopedist and rehab personnel, I'd recommend you stay away from this very terrible hospital - at the very least go there ready to test that their doctors know what they are doing.

I have been using this hospital since 2018 with a mixed bag of results. Let me first say, if you are interested in a very comfortable, clean, and safe feeling hospital where you are seen quickly this is a wonderful place. Coming from New York where you can wait hours in a chaotic waiting room this place is wonderful. I was hospitalized for 10 days with antibiotic-resistant salmonella. I was treated with great care, in a hotel style room, and I trusted the doctor with my life. I do not feel they would of kept me as long in the west, but I also like the thoroughness done here and know they wont send you home until you are right. This is something that is more common in Thailand even in government hospitals with my partners I have noticed they want you better before sending you home. It can be expensive, but knowing you are being helped and watched and they are not overwhelmed with patients is wonderful. I have had minor surgery done due to an infection in my finger among many other small medical procedures and visits and all have been done to a quality care standard I expect. Now onto the bad... I was informed I had a mass in my colon that was a 50/50 chance of being cancer when they did a CT scan during my salmonella to rule out appendicitis. I ended up going to Sloane Kettering in NYC and their interpretation of the result was different. As I was informed.. The so called "mass" was an overreading of the CT scan. It happens, but it's still dangerous. And the implication I had a huge mass in my colon was psychologically devastating. Turns out, I didn't just not have a massive mass. I had no mass at all. Secondly, I was told I had cataracts in my eyes by the vison department. This startled me as a man in my 20's but my local eye doctor in NYC who is very experience described it as "changes in the eye" and not quite what they would consider cataracts. She noted what the doctor saw, but she assured me that they were not of serious concern. In many ways, this may just be a mistranslation issue I do not think it had malintent. All in all, I will continue to use this hospital, but I recommend McCormick for general sick visits due to better priced affordability. You can refuse medications they give you, get the names on a piece of paper (ask them, they will do it) and walk over to Dara Pharmacy across the street and get the medications for way cheaper. But if you want super fast, super pleasant treatment with a cherry ontop.. there is nothing better then Bangkok Hospital at 3AM during a panic attack. Believe me.

We just come here to see a doctor for health advice. So the experience is quite simple. The hospital has a perfect environment like a 5 -star hotel. Staff, nurse speaks good English. Quick registration procedure, the time to wait for the doctor is not long. Consulting costs are not too expensive. However, when viewing the price list of CT scans, blood tests, the price is very expensive, our insurance cannot be paid in this hospital. So we returned to the public hospital where insurance paid for testing expenses.

I had a fantastic experience at this hospital today. Having been referred for my first mammogram and ultrasound all the staff were absolutely lovely and took such good care of me. The treatment was spot on and it cost just 3,999 for everything. Unbelievable service and super clean hospital! Thank you

Truly know what she is doing, kind, not order too much medicines only needed. 1 star : to a skin doctor , very bad experience with her (I forgot her name) ... I have this rash all over my body and she ordered blood test and loads of medicine said I have fungus infection, charged me almost 7000Baht for it! I ended up didnt heal from that and went to another skin doctor (small clinic inside the moat) and paid only 1500Baht and solved the problem (just simple allergy and only need antibiotics for skin). Very poor service and very expensive charges. My son had been misdiagnosed with VSD without any examinations but by doctor’s experience. It led me to do a lot of unnecessary check for nothing. If you go complain about it, then they would play games with you, even suggest you to do the unnecessary check again. Excellent emergency and inpatient care. My mother took a fall and ended up with several broken bones, and they were great. The doctors only ordered necessary procedures and were very receptive and willing to find alternatives when we didn’t like some suggestions. They made a bad situation, as good as it could be. Excellent experience. The whole atmosphere is professional and super friendly. I felt immediately safe and helped. The hospital is very modern and I came through the ER and had to stay a couple of nights. Everything was fine, perfectly organised and everyone was always friendly with an additional helping hand, if needed. English was not a problem at all. Also the hospital arranged everything with my health insurance perfectly, so even all organisational stuff and financials weren't any concerns.

However, after listening to my predicament, the nurse at the registration desk did an exceptional job by speaking to the relevant department n Doctor. I cannot say enough about this hospital. The only negative is how disappointed I am that we do not have a hospital like this in Tennessee, USA. The nurses were nicer then most 5 star resort concierge. I had a broken finger from a Flowrider incident in Phuket. My first visit was at the Bangkok location (also 5 star). Our travels had us going to Chiang Mai later so the DR gave notes for the ones in Chiang Mai. It was seamless to continue care in Chiang Mai and the 2 times I came in for followups they had me with a specialist and out the door for under 1000 baht each within 45 minutes. I will tell you that unfortunately on our last trip (December 2021) my wife and I visited ALL 3 Bangkok hospitals (Phuket, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai) and they all were the same. It became a joke that if they just added in hot tea during checkout this could be an excursion you could put on trip advisor. For those that could leave a bad review, at least with my experience visiting Thailand every year religiously, these are visitors that come from out of country and do not offer respect. MY ONLY negative with the hospital but refuse to remove a star because the staff was so good was the cost of our RT-PCR test for our required test to return to USA. We paid 3500 baht per test. Phuket hospital was doing them at 2800. However, we made an appointment the night before, got in at 9:30am and had our results by 1700hrs which is EXACTLY what was promised. So Im complaining over 700 baht. So......really nothing but with 5 people I had to pay for it does add up. Thank you to everyone here for being great!

I was quoted 300 bath hospital service fee + 400 bath doctor consultation fee = 700 bath already, before they even start to do anything. First class hospital if you’re willing to spend a little more. Spotless, modern with a very competent and helpful staff. They had all the newest equipment including a GE CT scanner, Hill-Rom transport gurneys and beds and modern laparoscopic diagnosis and surgical equipment. A shout out to Dr. Worawit K. who came to the emergency room in the middle of the night and was a thorough professional throughout! The initial estimate scared me a bit but at the end, they actually came in well below estimate.

Personally this is my go to hospital and that for clients who I recommend who are in town for emergencies and for procedures where they are covered by insurance. It is not cheap but it is the only hospital that can provide some services and scans in Chiang Mai, and it’s fast. If you then have to be referred to hospitals in Bangkok or overseas this hospital is the very best at organizing everything from admin to medical flights, nursing care and transfers.

While their Pediatric Ward wasn't able to accomodate my daughter because they don't have a full-time Pediatric Surgeon in residence (only on call), they have flawlessly handled everything else for our family: births, Dengue Fever which needed ICU, ER visits, and all our regular checkups and visits with specialists. I've always felt like we were working with the best of the best, especially my children's pediatrician. You can trust this hospital chain to deliver outstanding care.

I came here with a leg injury and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. I was welcomed into the hospital and quickly sent to the right place, often escorted by friendly staff who could all speak some English. Within 1 hour of arriving I received an MRI scan and shortly after that the doctor gave me his diagnosis and recommendations. The service honestly felt more like a hotel than a hospital, people are attentive, kind and understanding. The costs were very reasonable though the MRI was expensive which is to be expected, it's 45 minutes in a state of the art machine run by two staff. I was happy to have the scan done rather than have a doctor or physio speculate as to the diagnosis - the scan removed all doubt which is what I wanted.

Great western hospital in Chiang mai. I had food posioning and got a great care from their staff. Although some of the staff don't speak English really well, the doctors and the nurses do speak English quite well, they explained to me about my condition and kept my updated throughout the entire treatment, checked my signs every few hours.
