I have just returned from a week at Tiger Muay Thai in Chiang Mai. I'm not usually one to write reviews - but my experience was so good, that I had to share it! I originally booked a promotion package, which included 4 nights accommodation at the TMT camp, 5 days of Muay Thai training, pool & gym access, an airport transfer AND breakfast every day. Incredible offer and totally worth it! I was supposed to leave on Saturday night but extended my stay for another couple of days because this place was too good to leave! The training: Group training runs for 2 hours, twice a day. I managed to do all 4 hours on most days! I have trained Muay Thai at several Muay Thai gyms in Thailand now, and Tiger Muay Thai was by far the best. The trainers are very thorough and provide a personalised experience for each individual. I was certainly put through my paces, which was great motivation for me! I love the variety of each training session, there's a mix of bag work, pad work, sparring, HIIT, stretching, and even running in the mountains! The trainers are AMAZING! So friendly, have a lot of energy, and so much fun to train with. After just one week I feel much stronger and have improved my fighting techniques by far! Private lessons are also available, and all levels of experience are tailer for. The location: Stunning! Set in the middle of the forest, TMT Hillside has the ultimate tranquil setting. It's incredibly peaceful - this is more than a training camp, it's also an escape and a perfect getaway if you need time away from the city. I was taken up the mountains in the morning and views are simply breathtaking! If you're a nature-lover, for sure you will love it here. The staff I can't thank the staff enough for incredible experience they gave to me. I feel like I was treated as one of the family - it really was the icing on the cake. Every single person working at TMT is so welcoming, fun and kind. From the trainers, to the staff at the TigerGrill, the owners, and everyone who works in the office - everybody went out of their way to make my stay special, and I genuinely feel like I've made friends for life! The accommodation I stayed in the Deluxe room. The accommodation is new, very clean, and very comfortable. There's a TV, fridge and a kettle in the room, and the bed is really comfortable - perfect for a long sleep after hours of training! Regrettably, I didn't try out the pool (I was too focused on the Muay Thai!) but the pool looked very clean and fresh - I will go for a dip in there next time! The food The Tiger Grill is the onsite restaurant. All the food there is delicious, and made with local, fresh ingredients. The prices are affordable and there's a wide variety on the menu. The coffee is incredible, and I highly recommend the fresh mango shake, or the homemade cookies, if you have a sweet tooth. Overall Hands down one of the best experiences I've had during my 6 years in Thailand. I visited as a solo female traveller and felt completely safe. Thank you so much to all the Tiger family for making me feel so welcome. I will be back very, very soon,

What can I say, absolutely incredible. I spent a month here training and had an incredible experience. From Lee the manager and ultimate problem solver no task to big for her to sort out. The trainers are wolrd class with plenty of fight experience and the skills to teach... on top of that just amazing people to hang out with! From fights in town to temples in the Mountains. The caretakers are also amazing and incredibly helpful! From training muay thai skills to running in Mountains and up to temples. To going to town to watch professional fights. An amazing time. The aircon works great, the pool is incredible for an after training dip. And the kitchen is small but mighty. It is about 30mibs north of Chiang Mai old town, literally in the Jungle which is good for clearing the mind. The whole area including the gym is cash only so be prepared.

I trained in many Muay Thai camps across the country and Tiger Muay Thai here in Chiang Mai is the best for me. The trainers Thor and Aod are the most skilled trainers I've ever had the pleasure to work with. They are not just experts in Muay Thai techniques but also incredible motivators who genuinely care about their student's progress, whether you're a beginner or an experienced fighter. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming thanks to Lee who knows how to make you feel at home. She is an amazing and lovely manager who will always uplift your mood with her words. This is why I am so eager to come back to train there and meet them all again. Thank you for everything 🥰

I trained here for a week and it was amazing. Lee was super helpful and brought me multiple times to town and took me for lunch & to a big supermarket the first day. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed, there were fridges provided and a nice little kitchen to cook your own food. The Muay Thai trainers were also all super nice! The trainings had a nice balance of cardio, technique, strength & stretching exercises. I really recommend coming here; beginner or advanced!

10/10! Trained with Aod and Tor. Both were fantastic trainers - patience, kind and great energy. The training was tough in the heat so you really need to be motivated and Tor and Aod were great motivators. Location is peaceful and perfect to focus on Muay Thai Training. There's also a space to practice yoga on the top floor - beautiful green views. Pool is clean and the rooms are massive, especially for one person. And also thank you to Lee for her great communication in the lead up to my stay. She was even more hospitable in person. The quant cafe across from the accomm has super welcoming and kind hosts. Reasonably priced and delicious honest food. I highly recommend Tiger Muy Thai Training Camp. I look forward to coming back!

Dear reader, I am writing to recommend Tiger Chiang Mai. There are many reasons why I enjoyed my two-week stay at Tiger, but the most important ones are the following: 1) The people. The coaches are truly kind and wonderful. Their enthusiasm and humour made the trainings much more fun. The staff taking care of the facilities are also extremely kind and lovely. The general manager (Lee) might have been the kindest of all. She drives all of the guests to the necessary locations (7/11, pharmacy, restaurants etc.) and does so with a smile on her face. She even spent an entire day driving me to different hospitals and translating the doctor’s advice (which was in Thai) to English. 2) Good trainings for beginners/intermediates. The coaches have a lot of experience (400+ fights) and know how to teach you Muay Thai. Definitely learned many new techniques during my stay. The trainings are relatively intense and 5 hours per day. As a result, your fitness and technique both increase much faster than they do at home. Do have to add here that the coaches do not speak English very well, so it was hard to ask very complex questions. Rather, they simply show you how to better improve your technique. Also, with circa 1 year experience, I was one of the better students. Hence, sparring, and certain aspects of the training might not be challenging enough/valuable enough for fighters with quite some experience. 3) Excellent facilities and clean rooms. The facilities are more than good. It consists of two rings, a very large training mat with over 15 punching bags, a gym with weights and a pool. The rooms were also very decent and if something needed to be cleaned, it would be fixed immediately. 4) Relaxing atmosphere. The gym is located in quite a remote area and given the climate and the surroundings, there definitely is a vacation atmosphere surrounding the complex. The only downside during my stay was the limited number of people training at the gym. During my two weeks I was always training with 1-5 others. If you are really looking to make many friends, then this place will probably not be the right place for you. Having said that, I was training there during the low season so this might be very different at a different moment in time. Also, if you are looking for “action” (nightlife, many things to do besides training etc.) then some other gym might be better. All in all, I would highly recommend Tiger Chiang Mai if you are a beginner looking for a relaxed atmosphere to train in!

I stayed one week in the camp and it was everything I could wish for! The staff go out of their way to help you and show you nice places and the best Thai food around. The rooms are nice and clean and the whole compound is beautiful. The training sessions are a lot of fun and the trainers do their best to help improve skills. We had 3 trainers for a small group of people so we got one-on-one sessions in every training. Wish I could stay longer and hope to be back one day!

I stayed for a week at Tiger Muay Thai and cannot say enough positive things about the experience. The trainers are incredible - they make sure you’re having fun while also pushing you super hard. The workouts are tough (especially in the heat!) - there is a structure to the programming that is awesome while also never being the same each day. Loved it. Additionally, Lee is just an absolute gem of a human and made the entire experience unforgettable! From airport pickup and drop off, to making sure all your needs are met and you are taken care of - from activities outside of camp, to food recommendations and grocery trips etc. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great time and taken care of. Her positive energy and care made this trip 10/10 for me!! I would love to come back one day!! Amazing experience all around.

My time at Tiger was amazing. I tested my dedication here and as a result lost 5kilos in 5 days. The trainers and staff are extremely friendly and professional and the quality of equipment and facilities are fantastic. The experience of training outdoors in a clean and colourful environment is what really separates this camp from others. Next time I will stay longer. Cheers guys.

My brother and I came here for a week of training and were very happy with the experience. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable in Muay Thai so we learned a ton. Lee does a fantastic job at making the rest of the operation run smoothly. If you need anything at all, she goes above and beyond to help. If you’re considering coming here, please do.

This was an experience of a lifetime! The knowledge of the coaches was amazing and they do their best to help you progress for the time you are there. This is a great place if you are a beginner and what to start your Muay Thai journey. From the location to the hospitality; everything was amazing. The organiser Lee goes out of her way to ensure you are having the best time possible by taking you to the local markets and and hidden gems. When she picks you up from the airport ask her to bring you to get the beef curry. Trust me.

Definitely the best training camp in Chiang Mai. I really liked the trainings with Aod and Net. Great humble human beings. I stayed for one month at the camp and I liked everyone that was there. Super chill and positive atmosphere. Very good camp to start learning muay thai if you’re a beginner or practice as an intermediate. If you’re an expert I would recommend going to Tiger Muay Thai Phuket.

My husband and I did a week long training at Tiger and loved it. We both had never done Muay Thai before but that was not an issue at all. Eod and Net were incredible trainers, always teaching us how to improve, and just very genuine people. Lee is such a kind soul and takes care of everyone as if they were family. Definitely will be back again and hopefully for a much longer stay.

(Translated by Google) Good training camp, with friendly teachers and kind people. The only negative is that the accommodation is a bit outside the camp, so I had to rent a scooter. (Original) Bon camp d'entraînement, avec des profs sympathiques et des personnes aimables. Le seul point négatif est que l'hébergement soit un peu en extérieur du camp, donc j'ai du louer un scooter.

(Translated by Google) A very nice location and good facilities. I trained for three days and spent the night at Tiger Chiang Mai. I was very well received by the staff and immediately felt welcome. This location has only been open for two months and for that reason it was a bit quieter. The trainers did their best despite that. They are professional trainers. The lessons are serious, but there is also time for a joke. It is a matter of time that things will get busier here. The location is a bit more remote from the center than in Phuket. Recommended!

Opened last month (Nov 2019) went to check it out - the facilities are first rate and it's secluded forest location is inspirational if your in serious training, want a great hike in the surrounding beautiful scenery or just chill out with friends for coffee/beer. The trainers and owner are very friendly, speak English well and very knowledgeable and tailor activities to suit your abilities/interests.
