One of the best beaches in Koh Lanta in terms of location and facilities around. It is a very long strip of yellow grayish sand with pine trees. The trees provide shadow and create relaxing ambience. Water is clean and pleasant, there are no rocks underwater like on other beaches, the entrance to the sea is deep enough even during low tides. Not so many people as on khlong dao beach, which makes it more private and peaceful. However beware of many jellyfish! I counted more than 7 in a few meters distance. My Thai friends told me these jellyfish are dangerous. But I also saw them on other Koh Lanta beaches. I guess, it depends on a season, or they were just brought by a storm.

Amazing sunset's, nice sand and water

My favorite beach on Koh Lanta. Long stretch of sand walkable for several kilometers. Great restaurants along the way (Lyms has excellent Pad Thai and Cashew chicken). Perfect sun sets as well. A must see beach if you are visiting the island. This type of place makes you never want to leave!

Beautiful blue sea, not so crowded and nice music playing at the bar

A really nice beach. Also known as Long Beach. As a beach I prefer Kantiang or Bamboo beach that’s a better beach. But there the restaurants are not that many. Klong Nin is really nice as well, but no way near the size of this. It gets deeper really fast so pay attention to kids.

Sailboats, sunsets, volleyball, music, and good vibes makes this an ideal holiday beach.

Calm, clean, with marvelous soft sand and massive space.

Phra Ae Beach, called also Long Beach, is maybe the best beach on the island. I have written more about it under "Long Beach Koh Lanta". :-)
