In 1890 English-born Franklin Hurst submitted a letter to His Royal Highness Prince Devawongse Varopakarn, then Minister of Foreign Affairs, proposing the establishment of the association to promote horse breeding, caring and horse racing, which should be in the middle of the city so it is easily accessed, and also should be open for Thai membership. Later, King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) granted permission for the construction of "Royal Sports Club". In the reign of King Rama VI, the place was given the Thai name as "Ratcha Kreetha Samosorn" which has been used until present.

An extraordinary piece of luxurious estate at the heart of Bangkok. Entry is by invitation from club members only. A hangout for the elite class. Food was Thai fusion and was delicious. Enjoyed whiskey on the balcony seat. A wonderful place to relax.

A tight but challenging short par 66 18-holes course that really tests your short game. If you're lucky, you might be able to enjoy a round in the middle of a horse race!

This is one of the two places where horse racings are organized every other week or so. This is also the place where high society people gather to do physical exercises as well as playing sports such as tennis, golf, swimming, badminton, squash, etc. This place save my life after my retirement years otherwise my routine would be boring to death. I can mainly go to the gym and spend time reading in the library. The food are diverse with reasonably good taste in general. Getting membership to access the club is quite difficult nowadays, however.

This is an exclusive membership sports club. My boss invited me, what a great opportunity. The clubs has many sports facilities here such as golf, soccer, tennis, swimming pool and more. There are also many restaurants here. We went to the new restaurant in the club next to soccer field. The food was lovely and the service was excellent. Plan to see the horse race next time (open to public). Thank you boss.

Exclusive sport club for member only!! Non-member can visit for meal but must be accommodated by a member. There are many activities you can do here, ranging from fitness gym, badminton court, grass tennis court, swimming pool, and many more. However, before the pandemic, on every other Sunday, there is a horse race but I’m not sure how is it nowadays.

It is a good afternoon out. You can place bets on the races that run every 35 minutes from12.15

W had a gala dinner of international college of dentist here. Place was good but food options were not HALAL. Rest of the things managed well.

Play a round of golf in this historical golf course as a reciprocal member,(members only) We need to pay 500 B for caddie which is a must and well worth since we know nothing about the course. Good food at reasonable charge. Facilities were new and tidy. Looking for another round next week.

An amazing place , an oasis in the middle of Bangkok. It has a real colonial feel about it, in the beast possibly way.

It is a unique experience playing golf in the centre of the (horse) race track. N surrounded by tall buildings in the heart of town.

We tried at least 10 different dishes and they were all pretty good. But I will minus one point for forgetting my order.

Classy private club with all the amenities you can expect that comes with a golf club in the heart of Bangkok that has been around for 100+ years and frequented by the most hiso of society in Thailand. Multistory carpark lots are ridiculously tight with pillars blocking. Probably designed in the early 1900s when cars where much smaller and narrower.

Nice buffet - A lot of delicious food choice. Staff are really lovely. 👍🏻
